Encens Insensé

Unique bewitching modern incense based scent full of surprises that will reward the adventurous perfume lover. The scent opens with aromatic notes of ginger, pink pepper and juniper berries leading to a brief floral aquatic heart (I detect rose, violet, calones) before it settles into the mostly olibanum base which is surrounded by cedar, synthetic musks and slight ambergris. The well balanced warm unisex composition has moderate sillage and good longevity. This is a very creative and romantic interpretation of the incense note, something very rare in perfumery. Enjoy!

One of the most redundant releases I have ever sampled. A watery, boring lemony incense that does what other standbys do except worse. Nothing stands out, nothing is interesting or exciting or memorable. If anyone remembers real fruit gummies, the gummies made with fruit juice, this smells like the lemon one. A bit like a cough drop too. Doesn't smell luxurious or expensive. Very disappointed that someone like Ropion would put something like this out. He is better than this. He played it ultra-safe and I no longer feel curious about the rest of this collection. Update: I was in a bad mood and it was the wrong seaso . It does smell light sweet and lemony but there is more quietly going on than I gave it credit for. In June instead of October, the light powdery watery lemony freshness is nice. It is clean. My air conditioner is blowing on me, cool bracing air, and this fragrance gives a clean, subtle enhancement to that feeling. I didn't know what to make of this in the cold. It works on hot days when anything more robust would be nauseating. It's slightly cloying but light and calming and refreshing. It does smell a bit incensey but its meant to be watery and light and refreshing. Its like drinking cool water with lemon. Its not strong or assertive but it feels cooling and oj a hot day, thats actually welcome. Pricing is still high but I wanted to recontextualize my review. I expected a moody smoky spiritual incense abd judged it too quickly so I figured this deserved an update

Simple incense. You smelled similar perfumes lots of times. No originality. Totally redundant. If you smell the collection, you understand that nothing to say here. The collection is safe and boring.
