Agartha

I adore this. To me, this is Keats’ ‘To Autumn’ in a scent- “Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness/Close bosom-friend of the maturing sun.” It opens with a blast of hay- not green hay or musty hay sitting in a barn, but bales of hay warming in the sun as summer turns to fall. The fruit notes are present, but this is not a fruity perfume- rather, the sweetness of the peach and honey notes give an impression of sunshine and ripening fields. The drydown is also fascinating- after a few hours, the hay fades almost completely, leaving a charming honey-tobacco accord that’s like a sunny-faced kid sister to the far sultrier Tabac Rouge or Tobacco Vanille. Absolutely stunning scent for late summer and early fall.

I didn't like this for the first half an hour and was almost going to wash it off. THEN.... another half an hour later, I fell head over heels in love with myself. This is incredibly lovely and not just that - it's a scent I've been haunted by, for my whole life. A sweet blossom I never knew the name of, and if it's mimosa, wow, it blends so well with the peach. I love being surrounded by this fragrance. The hay I'm guessing was the topnote I didnt enjoy but I'd go through ANYTHING, even a migraine, to have this scent. Oh wow just wow. This just makes everything right today. Edit: as the week goes on, the opening notes are now beautiful and the rest of the journey is even more sublime. This is a new love.

This is beautiful and like all from this range very well made using fine ingredients. It opens with the most resinous peach on me, mimosa and honey follow and the base notes come into play on dry down. It reminds me a little of Slumberhouse Kiste, but is by no means a copy, i actually prefer Agartha and find it easier to wear. It is not cloying but it draws you in and engulfs you, masterpiece!

What a lovely summer perfume...I don't get the fruity notes so much as the mimosa, hay and honey...it's light and soft like drifting pollen on a light breeze...April Aromatics products are not cheap, but they are well-made, natural and come in lovely bottles with crystals on the bottom...highly recommended...

Sweet dusty hay! Now that's quite weird indeed... It's like a covered up sweet candy! a sweet candy covered by dust, hay, and powdery sweet tobacco ashes. Hay, honey, candy, mint, cardamom, & mimosa. Not cloying at all, just the perfect sweetness. This is the smell of the atmosphere of song "Doin’ Time" by Lana Del Rey. That songs gives the vibes of this blend. Incredibly alluring.

Just received my bottle of Agartha. It is a scent, I would have not expected. I am usually not a person who likes sweet scents, but this one is uplifting sweet, not cloying and after the initial fruit opening, which reminds me of peaches, the scent of mimosa comes to shine through.I love mimosa and have not found a perfume which captures this scent adequately. Following this opening, there comes the honey/tobacco note. After about one hour I can smell a slight hay/ labdanum note...the perfume remains dry/ sweet and very pleasant in the dry down. The base notes of Patchouli and Oud, do not come forward...but I feel that they are supporting the scent in the base. This perfume is so different than all of the other ones in this line...I love it and am treasuring it during these dark, wintery times. The story of Agartha intrigues me and made me look it up...quite out there...but since I am on a spiritual path, I do believe in the beauty and goodness in all and in a perfect world behind all of the shadows. Overall two thumbs up!!!

This is the first one of this brand I tried and I like it very much. This is made for summer, it smell like ''luxurious'' outdoors. Tea with the Queen kind of vibe (or rather with the Mad Hatter, there is something curiouser and curiouser about Agartha). The note I get the most is the hay mixed with honey. I will try more of this brand. The quality of the ingredients used is evident and I can't stop smelling my wrist.

Turns out Osmanthus and hay together smells like peach infused tea. This to me is such a tea leaf scent I'm surprised it hasn't been mentioned more.

I've a fascination with all things pertaining to the real Agartha. Too bad it is priced out of the reach of low-budget collectors such as myself.

No, because the perfumer only made 20-something bottles.. Unfortunately the price yeah... $190 for 1oz is hard to stomach
