Irisistible

I want it, I want it, I want it! The best iris perfume I have ever tasted. Perhaps there are other perfumes based on the iris with greater projection and longevity ... But not with such a natural aroma and a powdery feeling of iris So concentrated ... In other cases I have found more or less pleasant perfumes and a certain sensation of iris but here ... The iris is the total protagonist! It is accompanied by white flowers that help to achieve its power And in the background creamy sandalwood that gives character and strength to the perfume. The perfume is a bit expensive but, taking into account that it has a high concentration of natural iris, the price is perfectly understandable since here, at least, you can feel that you are paying for something that is really good. It goes directly to my wishlist even though I don't know when I will be able to buy it since the brand has temporarily stopped production due to the difficulty in obtaining the materials. Still I hope I can get a little bottle when they make it again. Irisistible is simply irisistible ... and a jewel of perfumery. Real niche! Irisistible...For me the mystic experience started from the moment I saw the picture of this new fragrance... the color of heavenly, celestial dew mesmerized me and started to bring forth pictures, ideas, emotions that are highly elevated and uplifting! Once I received and smelled the fragrance,- the magic continued... I must say this Iris Fragrance is light and gentle and beautifully tempered on the outside... but so powerful and active on the inside... what I mean is it does something to Your Subconscious mind and it brings out memories and blocks from the past and it solves and dissolves them and as a result You receive the inflow of released from the past energies that make You feel healed and light and saturated with Joy! And it is kind of Childlike Joy, the most uplifting and rejuvenating! I am sure it has to do something with the molecula Irone Alpha in iris butter, that has this uplifting purifying properties on the brain wave function. But science aside, it is the Most Mystic Fragrance ever! Probably like Holy Water for the Praying One...

Initial impressions off a first-time sample; the opening smells like steamed plain white rice that you are about to add some butter to. Extremely unique in the perfume world IMO, though not really an "alluring sexy" kind of opening smell. More white-root smelling. As it dries down the more mainstream iris smell (recognizable from various Prada fragrances) starts to unfold, but is fairly distant, a bit dry and not loud and in your face. This is a very soft style of fragrance with some interesting nuances throughout. I even get faint vibes of a woody-tea smell here and there. If you love iris I'd say sample this one out. The opening is truly bizarre and like nothing I have smelled before. And if you generally tend to favor lighter, and more personal scents, you might really enjoy this. This smells of high quality, no harsh synthetics/aroma-chemicals here that I can detect. But definitely not a beast performer by any stretch of the imagination. Leans feminine.

This is a surprising fragrance, in a very good way. It's a very good example of how the gestalt of a fragrance can (should?) be more than just the sum of its notes. Apart from a distinct note of Iris, most of the other ingredients are not overtly present, at least not in their characteristic form; the citric hint is not overtly lemon, the sandalwood seems devoid of its characteristic sweetness. It dries down to wonderfully dry, a suggestion of beautiful handmade antique paper with the lingering scent of an Iris perfume... This is most definitely an unisex fragrance and a definite find for those who shy away from overly sweet fragrances. If it were a wine, it would be the driest of dry whites, perfectly chilled.

I've had my bottle for a few years, never really wore it, expected something much more floral but this for me is just orris. Dry, papery, earthy orris. The other notes are noticeable but very very slightly. I have to read the notes listing and then search for them amongst the orris. Citrus notes are strongest in the beginning but aren't particularly lemon-y, more of a suggestion of a sour tasting fruit. Tuberose is noticeable, it is a natural extract of tuberose which I can only detect because I own some and am familiar with it's scent. There's a tinge of jasmine but it's not a complete note, more like bits and pieces of a jasmine note. Like others have said, this perfume smells like paper/cardboard, dry, earthy orris. Not much else. Kind of get the cooked rice thing too but that could be some of the natural tuberose at play.

I don't know if I like Irisistible or not, but it is so intriguing. The opening is truly horrible for the first five minutes. I relate this smell to bile. And for me that acidic bitterness never does go away, but it becomes so interesting. As others mentioned, there is no sweetness here at all. What does it say about me that this works really well with my chemistry lol? I am grateful for this sample, and I look forward to trying this more in the future. This is only my second time wearing Irisistible.

I am relieved I bought a perfume sample from Lucky Scent before buying it. On my skin this perfume smells awful! Opens with new car smell then quickly dries down to wetpaint mixed with white florals and hint of old stale incense. It projects well so this icky scent was strong. I did get a hint of iris but this scent never got better on me the paint faded slighted to a skin scent. I definitely recommend testing this perfume before you buy!

The sense of smell must be very personal. I bought some testers from April Aromatics and once I spritzed them I thought that I had been the victim of a joke. The smell was awful and made me gag. I had to wash my arm to wipe away the stink. I am shocked that something like that is sold as "perfume". It smells like the water in a vase of rotten flowers...the other testers were awful as well. I threw away 50Euro for 4 testers!

Really ? What a shame !! Sounded great but utter disappointment . Smells so strongly of carboard🤢

My apologies to those of you who enjoy this, and my hat is off to you for being able to wear it well, but to me, this is revolting. I've been on an iris kick for months now, so when I came across this in a box full of samples, my eyes lit up. I was completely taken aback once I sprayed it on. Now, I am fully aware that there is a difference between genuine iris vs fantasy iris, but to me, this smells like they ripped the plant out of the ground, and just mashed it all together along with the dirt. No refinement, no buttery orris lovingly sliced and left to age, and nothing even slightly floral. Just roots, dirt, and twigs. Someone mentioned a bowl of steamed rice, and I think that's perfect - it's starchy! I haven't scrubbed yet, so maybe things will improve, but 30 minutes later, it's still horrid. There are very, very few fragrances I have encountered in my life where I thought to myself "Who could possibly like this?", but I am sorry to say that this is one of them. For the fans, by all means wear it and enjoy it. To those who have never tried it and are considering a blind buy, I strongly encourage you to get a sample first.

After reading John Biebel's review, I am tempted to purchase a new sample of this from Luckyscent. As my previous review will attest, I most definitely hated this when I first tried it. I'm pretty sure that I was so turned off that I immediately scrubbed and didn't give it proper time to unfold. I love iris, and have quite a few in my collection, Including Houbigant's Iris des Champs, which I didn't really care for at first. I didn't give up on it though, and every now and then, I'd give myself a spritz, each time discovering a new facet beyond the initial papery, dry smell from my first impression. Now I love it, especially since it's so different from my other iris fragrances. Based upon that experience, I think I owe it to myself, April Aromatics, and the fragrance itself to give it another go, this time with patience and an open mind. So we shall see if it changes from a dislike to a like or even a love. ____________ Rats! Guess I'll need to find a sample elsewhere, since Luckyscent doesn't have it and now I'm wondering if it's been discontinued...

I received my perfume today and it feels like a rainbow palette of aromas that I haven't smelled before. It starts with an opening of a rooty iris and after settling down for 20 minutes it develops into a sweet, deep floral iris, with a slight fruity touch. Not too sweet, not too earthy. The buttery, velvety aroma of Iris shines through and make this perfume very special. It is so different from any other Iris perfumes and one notices the beautiful natural touch, without making it smell like natural perfume...its all in there: Tuberose, Jasmine, rose, sandalwood, etc.... But most interestingly, it changes into so many different facets. The silage is very long lasting, up to 8 hrs on my skin. On clothing and on the scent strip even longer. This perfume envelopes me all day...I am feeling like in a protective blanket. Its wonderful and for me one of the best iris perfumes that I have worn.

I am on a life long journey for searching for a realistic iris FLOWER fragrance. As far as I know it simply does not exist. All iris perfumes smells like iris root, not a flower. For references: I think that Pacifica is the most realistic lilac fragrance on the market. Looking for the same level of realism.
