Wild Summer Crush

Love this scent! It is like a bright warm summer day. It just makes me so happy every time I smell it it’s like an involuntary smile takes over- there is something contagiously joyful about this scent. For myself, it starts with a fresh neroli which is so delicate and so fully vibrant at the same time. The neroli is highlighted with bright grapefruit and lemon on my skin. I find the heart opens into a gentle juicy yet light rose that blends so smoothly and seemlessly into sweet tea and hint of coconut ( I wished there was more I just loved that note in this scent) and balanced beautifully with some woods. This is a wonderful surprise - truly is an uplifting scent that invokes a feeling of warm summer memories and sunshine - very grateful for this tester added to my order , definitely a must try for those days you want something that wraps around you like a sunny vibrant hug. What I’ve noticed with April aromatics is that they aren’t just a scent to wear out, they are experiential. I find I actually feel better/ special whenever I’ve worn them. Ethereal masterful combinations like no other.

I ordered 30 decants in the space of a few months and I already have found 4 perfumes that are bottle-worthy to me. I would rather like but not love the remaining samples since I’m no collector. But I feel I’m about to get obsessed with this one. The grapefruit is juicy, bright and bold, like the best lemon scents but with that extra tanginess. It projects madly at first, then dries down to an almost skin scent. A bit of spice and greenery peeks through. The longevity is average but, really, who will resist applying later for that great big GF burst. Love.

This is lovely. Definitely more nuanced than the typical fruity citrus perfume. It starts with bright, sweet grapefruit note at first but within minutes becomes a deeper, juicier grapefruit scent. The rose and jasmine are the strongest secondary notes to me, but the grapefruit is definitely the star. I think I can detect the green tea in the middle and the coconut is very subtle but seems to be adding a nice creaminess. All together it's so, so good.

This is SO beautiful, literally reminds me of a summertime vacation crush. It’s juicy and mouthwatering with the perfect amount of tartnrss to make it really interesting. Projects like crazy!! Can’t believe more people don’t talk about this one

This perfumes makes me happy. I am a grapefruit lover. Loving the full fruity nuances in this. Its sweet, but not sickly sweet and it just smells fresh and uplifting. Full bottle worthy. My new signature scent, perfect for grey weather blues.

The burst of scent when opening a bag of Haribo grapefruit slices (white and pink mix) that turns into a creamy rosy citrus. Very little wood or tobacco on me but enough to warm the overall effect. I LOVE this.

This is grapefruit done well. The scent of grapefruit in perfume is dangerously close to body odor, but it’s not at all like that for me here. Straight from the decant it was bright and zingy grapefruit, photorealistic of peeling one as the oils from the skin squirt out. I think the coconut does a good job rounding it out here, making it less astringent and more creamy. It’s almost kind of peachy somehow. I don’t get rose, but I get some resinous quality from it. I may want a travel size come next spring/summer. Update: looked at prices and no way am I paying $190 for 30ml. It’s nice, but not that nice. It would have to be life changing for that kind of tradeoff.

174 This has the best sugared grapefruit and citrus -top and mid notes- that I have ever smelled. There is just a touch of something that makes it nutty-creamy and it is different from the standard dry or sweet citrus scents. Unfortunately the nutty/creamy note doesn’t stay long enough and I wish this note had more presence to balance with the strong sweetened grapefruit-citrus blend. That may be how the perfumer wanted it, subtle, but it could be better IMO. I also don’t get any woods, green tea, tobacco, or rose. 8/10 great sugared grapefruit scent which has potential if the nutty-creamy note was just a touch more present.

At first sniff, this smelled like rotten nectarines, but I'm happy to say that something (neroli?) kicked in and evened it out to a lovely sour pink grapefruit with a whiff of coconut water. This lasted for a pretty shocking seven hours. It smells very natural and juicy, though half the notes didn't show up for me. The scent faded very evenly at the end and I extended the last fumes by adding a spray of a lemony rose and was rewarded with the sharp green scent of freshly cut rose stems. I never detected the tobacco, which was a relief.

Wow! This is so, so fresh and juicy and clean. In fact, it's exactly how I would want my kitchen to smell (I don't necessarily mean that in a bad way!) I get strong citrus and the barest hint of floral; it's a tall glass of freshly squeezed juice, sipped while sitting at a little patio table in a garden in high summer. This is what I expected and wished Commodity Nectar would smell like. It's so expensive for something so linear and literal, I'm not sure I'd spring for a full bottle, but I am going to enjoy this sample on warm days!

Pure, tart grapefruit blast. Floating in grapefruit, bathing in grapefruit, crushing grapefruit barefoot on the kitchen floor, mashing grapefruit halves in your significant other’s face, lobbing heavy juicy bright pink grapefruit at the neighbors house. It’s good, but for grapefruit warriors or lovers only.

There is a beautiful burst of orchestrated citrus here, but once it sits on my specific skin, the consequent slightly rotten fruit smell is unfortunate. After some time it turns into the exact smell of that cheap 1970’s orange drink in an aluminum can called Hi-C. I smell of Hi-C and BO for hours. Nobody has complimented me, but I have gotten sideways glances. Really not melding with my chemistry and bringing back strange childhood memories of my gramma not having enough money to buy frozen OJ concentrate. I’m sure it’s wonderful on some people but sorry it’s not me.

This has to be the worst perfume I have smelled so far and I have tried hundreds. It is not because it's not my favorite scent profile which is it not but because what I smell is the worst case of armpit sweat, other reviewer said halitosis and another feces but definitely I don't know what the perfumist was thinking. Disgusting, nauseating to the point that I would not give it a second try.

Starts out with a blast of grapefruit and dries down to a peachy fizz. However, this is SO heavy on the indole. Halitosis with just a little fruit. Too bad because this could have been a pretty summer/spring fragrance.

An exceptionally good citrus fragrance--ruined by tobacco. The perfumer states that the tobacco note is barely noticeable but I beg to differ, it was enough to make me scrub.

Very strong grapefruit with pith and rind. Fresh, breakfast-y, with bitter notes and a faint bitter herb undertone that reminds me of gardens. Sadly, the dry down is less than a skin scent, but I can get the base notes. They are extremely subtle, though. I mostly get a fresh, realistic summery grapefruit.

This scent is fantastic! It’s super playful and fruity and definitely lives up to its name. I ordered a sample and somehow popped and shattered the dabber bottle all over myself... but oh my god, it smelled great, even as I was rinsing my hands under the sink and sopping up the remnants in a paper towel.

This stuff is nuclear. The juicy tart grapefruit is incredible. The goldilocks of not too sour, not too sweet. The citrus note hangs on for days. Usually with citrus they're gone in 20 mins. And the grapefruit doesn't turn to rubber or cat pee on my skin. I might have found my summer citrus finally.

If you like grapefruit flavors, I'd recommend this one. It smells full of tart and bitter grapefruit character. However, real grapefruit oil doesn't smell like the pulp, so their 100% all-natural claim is a bit questionable. maybe the molecules are from natural sources though.

I loved this perfume in the bottle and right after spraying it. It’s like jumping right into a grapefruit. Shortly after it started to fade (maybe 30 min or so?) the overwhelming smell of indole set in. I had to wash it off because I just kept getting whiffs of human feces. 🤢

This is so different from any citrus fragrance. The opening for me immediately reminded me of the smell on my hands from handling a fresh Christmas tree but with a big splash of a fresh cut grapefruit. Love it, so unique. Too bad the FB price is out of my league right now.

Wow! Talk about a difference in peoples’ skin chemistry. I really wish that I was getting this amazing complex citrus fragrance that everyone else is getting, but on me this smells like the worst nuclear powered underarm funk ever. Unfortunate, but it is what it is.
