Ex-Tasis

Truly an ode to frankincense. a sticky, fresh resinous character runs through this from start to bottom. Opening up with a vibrant, spicy burst of strong elemi-like resin, supported by some peppery spice and rose. Profile is very woody up-front, like pine or black hemlock, It's medium/warm so it hits a great balance between the fresh spiciness and the warm woodiness. After the opening settles, it starts getting a smoky touch like incense. This smokiness is great because it pulls it far enough away from simply being a basic wooden fragrance, it creates a lot of play, and causes you to want to keep smelling it instead of just going "hm, yeah that's nice" and then moving on. During the dry down, I'm getting a great vetiver and frankincense. The vetiver keeps the oud-y tones from getting too "farty" and the oud adds warmth, body and character to the vetiver, while the frankincense is the face outwards. So I think these are blended in just the right way. The oud is very mild, so as to just barely be present , but it definitely adds a dark and warm woodiness without being brazenly oud-forward. Leaning male, but can be worn by women as well although the spicy woodiness may be a tad too masculine for most women's own preferences. Performance is insanely good, i'm getting at least 12+ hours without it losning much i n terms of projection, projection is good, not a room-filler and also not a fart in the wind.
