Tzigana

we visited the flagship store and laboratory in florence. it is housed inside a 14th century renaissance palace, but the staff are so humble and passionate about their work. it was an extraordinary experience. i’m interested in niche perfume and was taken on a tour of their categories. my husband (who could care less about anything frivolous) was immediately captivated by the attention to craft and story. he found a signature fragrance before i did! sorry. i digress. tzigana was the last one i tested. i loved everything i tried but i wanted something unusual and different. something to always remind me of this trip to italy. i was on my path of ambers and spicy musky scents. this one was a wild card, recommended to me by the sales associate. one sniff on the back of my hand and i was swept away. it smells purple. a haunting and mysterious violet that is free spirited and wild, but still feminine and confident. because i don’t typically lean into powdery florals, i can’t tell you what this smells like. i can only tell you that it smells high quality and intentional. every few hours i experienced something new, it was dimensional and alive but never veered too far from the composition. i apologize if this isn’t helpful — i’m just very excited for this brand and looking forward to purchasing more formulas from them. give tzigana a try if you love dark powdery, patchouli violet moods. or if you wear amber and musk scents and want to diversify your vanity.

Had a spray of 5 floral perfumes from this brand in Florence. I wouldn't describe this as spicy. It does smell like rose and jasmine and something else I can't figure out probably the grapefruit or maybe a touch of amber (not strong as I do love a warming amber dry down). Its very linear, it was still on the stick the next morning in my hotel room the same smell. It was pretty and slightly different but I bought a different one I found more unique.
