Coda

Coda as the name suggests, is the closing chapter, the remarkable Oud centerpiece that concludes the incredible harmony carried throughout the entire collection of Aqualis London. Opening on a very unique accord of sweet red berries lifted by the juicy fresh essence of bergamot and the aphrodisiac aroma of cinnamon, Coda captures a level of deliciousness that would make your tastebuds salivate and crave. Towards the heart, the introductory set of notes is unified harmoniously with a sensual floral bouquet, formed by the addition of jasmine, Turkish and Egyptian rose absolutes, bursting seduction in combination with a contrasting leathery saffron that transitions the heart of Coda into a majestic foundation highlighting the resinous warmth of benzoin and labdanum wrapped in the robust presence of Oud which serves as the main backbone of the fragrance, cocooning the entire concoction. Coda by Aqualis London is undoubtedly a statement perfume, and a “must have” in every collector’s wardrobe.

Excellent quality sweet oud & rose fragrance. The scent is not unique but it’s very well balanced. I can feel a lot of fruitiness and some warm spices next to the rose. And, of course, rich and delicious sweet oud-y base. I can get why people compare it to Scherzo, but tbh it’s so much better. Smooth and deep.

Reminds about Arabia parfums (oud?) heavy, dusty, depressing... the main notes oud, leather, labdanum. No berries or cinnamon. For me-totally masculine. Longevity is good.

All right, I think that came up to a surprise. Never ever thought I will like cinnamon mixed with rose in a fragrance, but there we are. Amazing opening of exceptionally well blended cinnamon and bergamot, it is a bit citruse-y, but not totally with the help of the cinnamon, followed by the rose, in fact a good dose of rose, but gosh, isn't it beautiful? I am not sure I am able to recognise the jasmine here, but who cares, really!? End stage turns leather-y and for my understanding that is how leather should smell in a perfume. Truly gorgeous. I am considering a FB ASAP!
