Pink Sugar Sensual

What an absolutely beautiful fragrance! While I wouldn’t quite call Pink Sugar Sensual seductive, I would call it flirty, romantic, playful, and sweetly sexy! I really love Pink Sugar, but I consider Sensual to be more chic, smooth, and elegant! It’s nothing deep or dark, but it is more grown up than Pink Sugar while still being beautifully sweet and delicious, and not coming off as a mature kind of scent! I feel that it works well for any age. I think that the box gives just the right feel for this fragrance... soft pale pink with black lacy details! It smells of sugary candied fruits, beautiful white flowers, and sweet and creamy vanilla and sandalwood! The notes that really stand out to me are the Tiare flower (which I adore), African orange flower, sugar, vanilla, and sandalwood! It’s just a really gorgeous fragrance! I get excellent performance with Pink Sugar Sensual! The longevity is incredible, it lasts all day and I can still smell it on myself the next morning! The projection is amazing too, it can be smelled from a few feet away! A little goes a long way with this gem, so it makes it an even better value! I’ve been wearing this for probably about 10 years and still have not tired of it! I hate that it’s discontinued, but I hope to be able to continue wearing it for years to come! I have Pink Sugar, Pink Sugar Sensual, and Gold Sugar (my favorite!) and I give them all 10/10! Pink Sensual is not an easy fragrance to find, so I'm really happy I finally found it online. It costs twice what I paid for Simply Pink, Pink Sugar, and Gold Sugar (each of which cost half the price of Sensual, depending on where you buy them from). As soon as I smelled Sensual I thought...this smells like something I already own. It smells like Britney Spears’ “Fantasy” (which is an iconic and lovely scent, regardless of what many may feel about her). If you layer those two fragrances, hardly anyone will know you're wearing two different perfumes. So honestly, buy one or the other. Sensual is appropriately named: it’s a beautiful, sweet, fresh, fruity, and creamy scent that can be worn year-round. Its predecessors tend to be sharper (and just as beautiful) mostly due to the burnt sugar and licorice notes. I’m a huge fan of pretty much all the notes in Sensual, which are so well blended in this perfume. Unlike some of my other fragrances, it doesn't take lots of time to transition by opening loud in the beginning, morphing to the mid notes, and then settling with the creamy base notes. It leaves a nice cloud of fragrance when you first spray it and then settles really quickly. Definitely use it on well-moisturized skin because the longevity is absolute crap. I personally didn’t get more than 3 hours out of this fragrance, It may last longer if you spray it on your top, but you'd definitely need to re-apply it throughout the day. It's wise to buy an atomizer instead of carrying a 100 ml bottle around. I don't regret this purchase; it's a safe blind buy. I think it was over-priced based on how poor longevity is. I'd rather stick to the original and Simply Pink, which have much better longevity and sillage. Gold Sugar’s equally lovely with better sillage, but I would not pick it over the other two.

I wanted to try the line and was afraid pink sugar might be waayyyy to sweet.. I opted for the sensual with the black currant, tangerine and bergamot opening, the white floral middle and the sugary drydown. This is one good little fragrance! It surprised me. I got a bit traumatized trying LaVieEnBelle, with that thick synthetic syrup opening that really disturbed me, so anything in this genre makes me gunshy. This is a fun oriental vanilla but so much more. I like how it does not start out as a sugar bomb. Little by little the white florals take over from the slightly green/sour bitter note in the beginning and the sugared sweetness seeps up slowly from the bottom. There is a lot going on in here and quite the fun trip into the sugary vanilla world without feeling like your rolled around in it all day..well maybe for about an hour or two :) My man really liked this one, and preferred it to a more expensive floral.. so what do I know... totally fun fragrance. I do have to agree with reviewers here, that it really does trump some of the more expensive fragrances out there..I think the "pink sugar" names hurts it a bit. If it was released under something else, I believe it would stand alone very well on its own not needing the "sugar" brand. It wouldnt be perceptually dismissed being attached to the original "sugar bomb"...or like it.If you like tangerine, light white florals and vanilla for summer..this is for you!

Just received my bottle of Pink Sugar Sensual in the mail today. I opened it up, sprayed some into the cap and expected it to smell like an exact dupe of Fantasy by Britney spears and to my surprise, the tangerine was the very first sweet/citrusy note that I got, and for some strange reason I IMMEDIATELY was reminded of the fragrance Pulse by Beyonce. After spraying it a couple of more times, in the air, I then was immediately brought back to a lighter less sweet version of Fantasy, just as everyone was talking about. I really like that about this fragrance! I LOVE Fantasy by Britney, but I find that it is not always the most appropriate scent to choose because it can be heavy with a lot of sillage, which could possibly offend others around me if I am not wearing it in the right setting. This will be the perfect alternative for me when I still want to wear something sweet and playful but not so "in your face". :) I have to comment and say that out of all the Aquolina bottles that I own, Pink Sugar Sensual is definitely a top contender to my favorite bottle design. It still have that "Pink Sugar Flair" from the original bottle, but, it is a much more mature and sexy version of the bottle. I got a 100ml 3.4oz bottle from Target online for a total of $11.39. I would say that was a good deal, and worth every penny! :) Will do a follow up review in time!

Second review! Delete if you must...but I gotta do this! Still in absolute love with this. The black currant shows its beauty in this. It's deep dark sexy but playful as a kitten. This is Love's Baby Soft tenfold. It's sweet and charming and still sexy as can be. Dolce and Gabbana red cap (just for reference) has the sexiest dry down on a warm body that wakes to the morning. Pink Sugar Sensual is the only perfume I can compare to that same morning sexiness. Both scents are like the taste of Red Vines in my mouth...to my nose. If this is a duplicate of BS Fantasy, then it's done to perfection and far surpassed the original unduplicate! I too am a lover of Fantasy, but nothing to this level. This lasts so very long that even the next day, with no trail, if someone were near enough to kiss you, they would touch their tongue to your skin just to see if it could possibly taste as wonderful. If this has been reformulated in even the most minor way, then it would be sad. It sounds as if it might have been from some reviews....how frightful!
