Al Fareed

How in the WORLD is this slept on!?? This is definitely up there with the all time best freshies while being unique and making you stand out. This is a fresh take on oud with sweet warmth underneath and I get ambroxide from it to make it loud, that might be from the oud though. I layered this for a vaca with Ombre leather to warm it up even more, I really can’t describe to you just how sexy and amazing this scent is on its own and layered. The packaging is a whole other world, the best package I have for a fragrance in my collection with the best display...box is durable and slides open with a web that appears holding the fragrance in thin air. The bottle and cap are heavy and luxurious and the juice is quality and lonnng lasting. Time after time it’s rated as the best oud fragrance in my collection by many and I have a lot of oud...way better than oud for greatness, oud wood or anything that’s popular out there. I would categorize it actually more with savauge and Aventus in style but so much more complex. Love this stuff, get it from a trusted eBay seller and you'd be walking around smelling like a luxurious hotel lounge or spa. Keyword luxurious.

Al-Fareed can be translated as the unique, unrivalled, or peerless. That gives you a sense of what this fragrance is like. It smells luxurious. It smells wealthy. It smells like a man on top of the world. The blend here is so well done that no one note jumps out and it progresses through the notes smoothly. The pink pepper is outstandingly good. I doubt no expense was spared with the quality of ingredients here. I disagree with others comparing it to Oud for Greatness. It's nothing like it to my nose. The closest I have encountered are Sultani and Amiri, both by Arabian Oud. All three are composed of bergamot, pink pepper, amber, and patchouli. All three are great scents, and dissimilar enough to be distinguished and not redundant. I would rate them Al-Fareed first, then Sultani, then Amiri. As usual for this house, the packaging is almost excessively extravagant, as per Arabian tastes. Arabian Oud's main market is the Gulf, and Gulf Arabs love opulence. Gifts like this are greatly appreciated. 9/10

It gets a 5/5 for the scent, quality, and longevity. Women will love this on you and on themselves. Can be VERY unisex, with a micro-sliver of masculinity. The smell of a successful man. Signature scent worthy. A gentleman's scent. Probably walks the line between a formal gathering and work. Fresh and soft SPICE and not overly POWDERY FLORALS, with very well balanced SWEETNESS. The spice and powdery florals keep each other in check so that it does not swing too spicy or too powdery floral. Don't pick up any oud. Dries down CREAMY, but starts FRESH. Day, night, all 4 seasons. Very very elegant. ***After multiple sprays, it gets better and better by the day. I believe that it has a mature feel, but can be enjoyed by ALL ages.*** By far my most favorite fragrance of ALL time, and my signature scent. If you find Kajal Homme II good/decent, you will fall deeply in love with Al Fareed.

A beautiful fragrance, strong, long-lasting, and with huge projection. It carries that unmistakably appealing Middle Eastern character that turns heads. As soon as I smelled the sample, I was instantly reminded of something familiar. It took a moment, but Arabian Knight came to mind. This one, however, seems to outperform it in both strength and longevity, so it gets my pick. Oud is listed among the notes, but it isn’t dominant, just a subtle touch that adds depth and character. I find this scent quite unisex, perhaps leaning slightly masculine, but honestly, anyone could wear it comfortably. It does remind me of Montale Arabians Tonka but I prefer this one. Arabian Oud is fast becoming one of my favourite Middle Eastern houses. Rating: 8/10. Blind-buy safe if you enjoy the listed notes and are familiar with the house.

One of the most popular additions from this brand in the middle East. Where to start. This is a very versatile fragrance owing to the superb blending of spicy/oud notes with bergamot. The bergamot is prominent in the opening and then on the dry down the cashmeran which is typical of Arabian Oud smoothes out the scent. Lasts on clothes for days. A unique offering. Incredibly well blended and has a very unique scent. If people think of Middle Eastern houses as just clone brands then this is one of many examples of the craft and quality that goes into perfumery in the region.

I’ve been using Al Fareed for a year and a few months now, and I actually finished my first bottle—and bought the second one right away. Even though the price is high, I didn’t hesitate, because when it comes to the things we truly enjoy, we don’t hold back. Al Fareed has that strong, luxurious Arabic character that never disappoints, and no matter how many perfumes I test, I always end up coming back to it. The performance is amazing, the scent is unique, and honestly, it’s one of those fragrances that feels worth every cent.A signature smell!

Wow this is finally on here! I’ve had this for snout a year now and every time I wear it it gets better and better. I highly recommend this but not at 350 retail prices. You can get it for 200 less from trusted sellers in eBay. That’s what I did! And the presentation is ridiculous but that’s true of every offering from this house. This stuff DOES NOT STOP WORKING. I wore this and played an entire soccer game snd STILL got a compliment hours and hours later. Unbelievable performance for a fresher fragrance.

A beautiful slightly floral oud with hints of violet or iris or lavender and a little sweet. When it dries I smell the patchouli and I find similarities with Oud For Greatness. Imagine OFG softer, cleaner and more ambery. It doesn't project much but it stayed on the jacket for days. A very clean, fresh and pleasant smell but the price in Europe is excessively high. Scent: 9.0/10 Longevity: 7.5/10 Sillage: 7.5/10 (Unfortunately) ps: Bottle identical to Stefano Ricci's Royal Eagle Black. Who copied who?

In my opinion and understanding of the fragrances, Al-Fareed is considered to be one of the best perfumes in Arabian Oud list. Being is the same category of Sultani, Diwan & Amiri, this stands out more attractive and different as a fragrance. Its notes combination, Sillage and Longevity give it 5 stars. Although its a bit high in price but still would love to give it overall rating of minimum 8/10.

Trust me guys I have tested both Al fared & Ajmal 1001 night edp/oil, both are similar in the opening to my nose. However Al Fared is more refined with a bit sweeter in the dry down where as 1001 night remain same through but the price difference between both definitely justifies the quality. If you wanna save your bucks then go for Ajmal 1001 night EDP/oil instead of Al Fared.

Sheer beauty! Musky and spicy with violet and patchouli being the heart and soul of this magic potion which has something in it for everyone. Smells fantastic in the air, though not so great when sniffed up close. With 2-3 sprays being the sweet spot number, a 50ml unit will last a long long time. This fragrance is one of the best i've smelled in my life honestly. I cannot recommend this enough to people. Though difficult to obtain, I'd 100% say it's worth it. The performance is outstanding and it projects so powerfully as well. 9/10 cologne. My only issue is that it may be a bit overpowering for summer, though i suppose it could work.

This is Arabian Oud nicher take on their own Arabian Knight. Smells super smooth musky spicy ambery woody. IMO, it's year around and office safe. And worth mentioning that the bottle was copied from Royal Eagle line of Stefano Ricci. Anything I tried from Arabian Oud has been nice and interesting so far. Another house to discover for sure.

Al Fareed by Arabian Oud.. A luxurious Frag with a unique scent. For me, it is one of the best that Arabian Oud has created. Pink pepper and bergamot with a touch of geranium. then patchouli appear blended well with dry oud and musk in the base. A long-lasting frag with a good projection that doesn’t bother others.

Originally I owned a 1ml sample. Once I applied the fragrance sample, I purchased a 50ml. My daily driver and I will purchase another bottle. Not about to bore you with all the AI note describing crap. The Musk, Vanilla, Oud, Amber (no specific order) compliments one another.

I bought this fragrance during my Umrah. The moment I snuffed Al Fareed in Arabian Oud outlet in KSA, I just knew this is the one. Didn't hesitate to buy one. I got compliment from a stranger on the day one I am wearing Al Fareed. My wife also loves the smell.

Update: as my bottle is aging and macerating, it is getting even nicer, stronger, and longer lasting. It lasts 12+ hours on my skin now and projects beautifully for 8+ hours. So far, it is one of my favorites from the house.

Don’t believe the blatantly negative reviews. This is a masterpiece and everyone that comes in contact with its aroma will enjoy it. Compliments galore, which adds a point to its overall score. 10/10

This is an Arabian Oud version of a middle eastern barbershop fragrance. With or without the lavender listed or not, this is a barbershop oriental fragrance. A nice one so enjoy spraying your balls.

God I love how Arabian Oud executes these masculine, powdery, floral scents. Al Fareed and Sultani are absolute masterclass exhibits in this genre, up there with classics like Reflection Man.

Oud for greatness the Arabian edition

I’ll preface this by saying straight up I do not like oud at all. I’ve tried a lot of popular Oud fragrances (Oud Wood, YSL M7, Oud satin mood, Oud silk mood, Oud for greatness/happiness etc) and none of them worked for me. They all smelled to me like an old cabinet and I never understood why anyone liked it. But this fragrance here is immaculate. Never in my life did I think I’d love a Oud dominant fragrance but this is extremely smooth, and alluring (even fresh surprisingly?). The only other fragrance I’ve tried that I enjoyed with Oud dominating was Aylan but that had a heavy dose of vanilla carrying the scent. This has virtually no sweetness but the blend and scent profile is just extremely smooth and silky. Never smelt anything like it and I’m extremely surprised at how much I like it. This definitely might need to make my collection soon after I finish my sample. Well done Arabian Oud

This is in the same vein as Afnan Tribute blue, which u can find cheaper for more or less similar Quality. Very citrus soft Oud, with almost non-existent incense type feel. More of a citrus nutmeg type profile similar to Tribute blue. I wouldnt call this an oud at all. Having paid 265 AED for 50ml, there are alot many other Arabian Oud fragrances which r better in Quality n Performance at this price!

it smells good, the fresh notes might be a little bit medicinal but that goes away in the dry down. calms down into a vanillic musky oud.

It's like it wants to be fresh and at the same time I also get the slightest bit of oud that gives it a very very spicy texture (as well as the spicy notes) and almost goes into incense territory. Violet and Bergamot help balance it but Im not sure I really like this too much. Costly entry into Arabian oud. If you want a slightly fresh spicy scent this is an option..... The favors (oils/ingredients) this house uses make me go nose blind fast. A half miss for me but luckily I only have a sample. I think I'm up to about 6 or 7 misses for this house and I have a few more on my list until I give up. Next I'll to try Sultani, Signature, and Different. Not what I expected or what Im looking for as I have other fresh spicy scents that accomplish this better in my humble opinion. Sample if your interested but I wouldn't blind buy for sure as this house has been a miss so far.

Very close to oud ispahan Dior...

Starts off a little aromatic then the whole thing just feels like a mish mash of notes. Feels like synthetic collisions in the air. I had such high expectations and was shocked by how average possibly unappealing this was. Especially for the price even with a 50-60% discount I couldn’t see the value. Terrible if u like the finer things in life. If u want a generic fragrance with huge projection and longevity u just found it.

Scrubber for me, dries down to powdery violet oud and musk. Almost oud + talc like. That is a no go for me.

It has this mysterious and captivating aura that instantly makes people curious about what you’re wearing. It’s genuinely an exceptional fragrance. If you’re the type of person who prefers to keep a low profile, wear something soft and subtle that people only notice when they get very close to you, and generally stay under the radar... this is not the fragrance for you. This is a fragrance made for someone who enjoys having a strong presence and likes the idea of other people being completely immersed in the scent they’re wearing. In my opinion, this is one of the best oud fragrances I have ever smelled. Would I consider it a blind buy? Absolutely not. This is definitely not a safe blind buy, but if you recognize yourself in the type of person I described throughout this review, then I honestly think you could become very interested in trying it. The only downside is that I genuinely can’t understand whether this fragrance has been discontinued or simply become harder to find. And because of that, the current online prices are honestly extremely inflated. That being said... even at today’s prices, I still believe this fragrance is worth every single penny.

I've been wanting to try this for a long time now sheerly off the notes & prestige that comes with this brand. This is not listed on their website so I wonder if it's discontinued. I own one other fragrance from this house called Resala--which is a complete beast mode of a performer. Arabian Oud is slowly emerging as my favorite middle eastern perfumer. This house is the epitome of Luxury and I look forward to trying other fragrances from this house. I was able to find a bottle of this from a trusted seller on Ebay, and with shipping I paid around $200. I think this is a fair price because when I initially wanted this fragrance I saw it listed for around $280. Again, I wonder if this has been discontinued by the brand since I was unable to find it on their website. I'll be receiving this fragrance in about a week or so---I'll be back soon with my official thoughts on this selection. Cheers

I have tried this one twice on skin now. I like it, but not enough to buy it. Al Fareed is a soft, oud based fragrance. Typically, these also contain a prmoninent rose component. This one does not at all. I think there is some light iris instead. This makes Al Fareed smell a bit like an oudy body lotion product, albeit a quality one. Not sweet at all. sometimes it gives me a soft musty/moldy vibe. Projection is average, longevity is very good. Quality is also very good as it comes about very natural. I am just not sure what I would be expressing with this fragrance. It is not energizing nor uplifting. Maybe you can call it cozy, but for me it is missing a bit of an central (sweet) note to place it in that genre. Could have been great with vanilla, for example. But then again it would not be as unique as it is now. 7/10

Masterful ambergris execution. A kid me would say it reminds me of those coca cola candies they used to sell. Spicy, a teeny bit oudy, citrusy, and of course that ambergris, dries down revealing more of the floral notes hidden underneath. Masterpiece. Reviews say this is winter, I disagree, this work in ANY season. Top 3 arabian oud in my collection, along Sultani and Amiri. Safe blind buy IMO. Haven't seen anyone disliking this. The longer I use this, the more I like it. It's now my favorite scent of all time. Just amazing. Can't recommend it enough.

I wore this one for dinner yesterday at 20 Berkeley - received 5 compliments from 5 different strangers. It's not my ideal dinner fragrance but I wanted to try something that I haven't worn in a very long time. It's a nice fragrance, very safe whilst maintaining its Middle Eastern vibe. I don't find it particularly complex nor mind blowing, but great for every day use...going to the shop, taking the bin out, running errands etc.

It is a beast, very long lasting, wafting around you for 5 hours minimum, and lasts for more than 12 hours on skin. Well blended, but I see it is more about patchouli and it is very heavy dose. Try to control your sprays as the pink pepper in the beginning will shut you off.

Al Fareed, Amiri, Diwan, and Sultani are all in the same ballpark. You don't need to own all of them, maybe 1 or 2. Either way, you'll be smelling great.

If I had to choose one perfume for the rest of my life will definitely be this one. 12/10
