Blue Oud

Blue Oud is a very beautiful fragrance. If you are not used to oud and musk it may take you a few wearings to understand. I fell in love with it right off the bat as I have been enjoying oud for many years now. Top: Cambodi oud - Smells of dried fruit. Heart: Blue Musk - This is most likely a synthetic but it does smell very nice and animalic. Base: Indian oud - This is traditionally distilled in copper stills, giving it that "barnyard" or animalic scent. There is no fecal scent here. Price: On the Arabian Oud US website (which is shipped from their store in New York City) the normal price is $400. I purchased Blue Oud from them during Ramadan (Eid) when everything on their website is discounted. I only paid $240. What you get for the price: Both a 100 ml EdP spray -the colored bottle shown at the top of the page AND a 24 ml perfume oil which is applied with a glass wand -the silver bottle shown at the top of the page. You are paying for both, thus the higher price. I tend to wear both versions together - two sprays of the EdP at the back of my neck and the oil applied at my pulse points using only one swipe on my wrist and then spread around from there. Longevity on my skin is over 12 hours and in my humble opinion can be worn year-round, cold weather or hot, day or night. I wear this for leisure, going out and while I am at work. Both men and women will enjoy this. Younger people that are used to wearing sweet and fresh fragrances may not enjoy it at first. 10/10

It took me a week to understand the simplicity of this perfume. So here is the conclusion: This is exclusively for Oud lovers otherwise you won’t understand how pure and well blended the indian oud is here. The first 10 minutes is too strong (will fill a room with 2 sprays) Then, it will settle down quickly. And here all the magic happens. As long as you are not moving you will be in a bubble of musk. Once you walk the Oud will be in charge again. Somehow they take turns according to your physical activity. Cautions: Never go more than 4 sprays. Spray on your clothes at least 10 minutes before wearing them. Atomiser is a lot and wide. It comes along with oud oil. Which you can mix with other perfumes not necessarily this one. If you could layer it perfectly. No its not work/school friendly. All seasons only night times. Rate: - Scent: purest oud ever 15 out of 10 - Longevity: 3 days on clothes 10/10 - Projection and silage: 20/10 i got people who said we knew you were here cuz of this. - Price: perfect with oil oud - gander: masculine Overall: 10/10 if you have other perfumes to use. You can’t depend on this only cuz can be overwhelming..

Okay I am about to make a very big and bold statement which is based on a personal experience I had with this scent. Statement: This is strongest perfume I have witnessed. This perfume outperformed the 3 KPIs ( Longevity, Projection & Sillage) Yesterday morning I met a colleague of mine at around 9 am, he was wearing something heavy and for some reason I thought he was wearing Black Afgano. Upon inquiry, he told me he was wearing blue oud by Arabian Oud. The perfume was screaming like a big bad monster and it overshadowed the fragrance I was wearing (I am a very heavy sprayer) Mid day we met again and I felt the same projection power. He was standing far from me and his perfume was overwhelming my nostrils. The sillage was amazing and this one stayed in the air for long time. Day end he was around and the perfume was still beast. That was around 5 pm and I was impressed (ordered it same day) This perfume is definitely not for people who prefer light scents. If you wear this, you will get noticed. You will be asked about it, you will be complimented and admired. He was wearing 4 sprays only !!

However, in the Gulf, oud is truly the essence and backbone of perfumes, embraced in every season and on all occasions. Over time, locals have grown accustomed to its rich aroma. I'm not asking others to use Oud like the Gulf people, but I'm explaining to the world how much we love the fragrance of Oud. Interestingly, the term "Blue Oud" comes from the unique blue color of the smoke produced when (certain high quality wood oud) burn. So for us (blue smoke) is a sign of quality oud. Additionally, this Arabian Oud (Blue Oud fragrance) stands out for its exceptional blend of Cambodian oud, which enjoys immense popularity, and the luxurious Indian Oud (Al Souyofi). This combination is similar to a car that combines the luxe of a Rolls-Royce with the vigor of a Lamborghini.

For oud lovers only, this is a serious and real oud fragrance. It opens with an absolute oud bomb. Just one or two sprays can easily fill a room. Whenever I start to go nose-blind after a few hours, I’ll step out for a coffee, and the moment I return, I’m greeted by that beautiful, warm oud sillage lingering in the air. This is animalic, barnyardy, dirty, and smoky, yet somehow incredibly refined, smooth, and classy. It’s oud dressed in a black suit and tie. I’ll admit, I was a bit nervous going into this after a bad experience with real oud from another house. But from the very first spray, I was relieved, the opening here is far more palatable, and it only gets better with time. This fragrance has truly sparked my love for real oud, even though my wife isn’t exactly a fan (haha). It’s something I’ll wear in my private time just to enjoy for myself. Most people in the West probably aren’t ready for or wouldn’t appreciate this kind of beauty. Rating: 9.5/10 — unapologetic and addictive.

Real and pure Oud which is blended using 2 different Oudhs I believe but the opening smells like Cambodian Oudh and the dry down like a woody Indian Oudh. All the while it has a musk overtone lingering over it especially in the dry down, the Indian Oudh and Musk come through and you're just surrounded by a bubble of woody Oudh, and warm musk. Simple terms: Oud (pleasant woody not fecal) and musky. Lasts for ages and leaves a trail, however, it doesn't project well. Also, because this is real Oud, it changes completely over the next few hours as it interacts with your skin and the air, which is unlike any other fragrance I've ever used. It turns from dirty woody oud, to a smooth sweet pleasant wood with musk overtones, simple yet powerful and pleasant. Scent: 10/10 (Only for Oudh lovers) Projection: 6.5/10 Longevity: 8/10 (the oil lasts longer on skin and the spray longer on clothes)

I love this fragrance. Kind of cheesy in the open but nothing unbearable. Once it begins to settle and transition it is one of the most wonderful experiences with oud you can have especially when you layer the attar oil with the edp... Magical. However, they're just as enjoyable by themselves. It's a little dank, animalic, and woody but there are also smokey, sweet and powdery facets. Also, there's a clean aspect to it as weird as that sounds it may be coming from the musk. AND it garners compliments. Contrary to a belief out there that Oud isn't appealing. When its constructed right people are intrigued by what you're wearing and how it tends to seduce the senses. I may signature this in the winter. Something in the same realm of this a bit dialed back with incense would be Bvlgari's Onekh.

Finally it is listed here!!! First time I tried this was @ Kuwait airport 2012 I sprayed it on paper and asked the salesman about the price, I was shocked as it exceeds $400 So I put the paper in my passport, and it kept radiating for the whole day. After a month when I was giving my passport to the immigration officer I noticed the smell. 4 years later , I bought it from Arabian oud boutique in KL, and my first true experience was It wasn’t that long lasting! And I was wrong, it stayed on my clothes for weeks in a hot humid weather. And the silage was truly enormous (with 3 sprays & 1 swipe i went to a meeting & it filled the board room). The smell itself is very leathery but not fecal, so it must be worn in a cold environment.

This is the most addictive oud fragrance I own. I just can't get enough of it. The nose is very sensitive to musk, so you might think you're not smelling it as you ought to or wrongly conclude it isn't a strong fragrance...and you'll be totally wrong. I remember a time after a long day at work...10 hrs after I'd sprayed blue oud, I thought the fragrance has mellowed down completely, until I stopped at FedEx on my way home later that day, and the FedEx personnel said "your fragrance smell so good, and very potent." I told her I couldn't even smell it that much any more, but she said that's the fragrance I should wear every day for the rest of my life. . Blue oud is a 10/10 fragrance, it's just perfectly made. Highly Recommend!

This is my second review for this great perfume. Buying this oud perfume is an investment, because one bottle is enough for several years (if used for important occasions) and you will feel special. This fragrance has achieved a difficult equation: it is a true oud fragrance, but in spray form, not an oil. If you are an average (oud lover) or more, just buy it. Because no other options will fulfil your hunger and love for oud, no matter how much you have perfumes from (simi-oud), (westernised-oud), (fake-oud) perfumes. All are just ghosts for this man (Oud).

For real oud lovers - try it atleast once - it’s comforting and spiritual in a unique way. Ideal for winter evenings and blossoms on the skin. Like most Ouds, the first 15mins is challenging and then the fragrance matures on your skin and that’s when magic happens. I personally didn’t observe massive performance but it did create a nice scent bubble. Shukran Habibi!

For a more affordable, slightly less animalic, even better version of this: Try Arabian Oud's very own Special Oud (Oud Khas)—the square bottle, not the Majestic one. Thanks to the sales associate for letting me know. It’s literally like the Ombre Leather of Tuscan Leather—more affordable, cleaner version.

Average performance. I've tried it from different bottles and result was same. Money wasted. Update: After few months it's performance has improved quite a bit. It actually performs way better on clothes than skin. You can go with perfume oil on skin and perfume spray on clothes.

Very, very skanky, but if you're into oud, you'll really love it, especially the dry down, fills the room with just 1-2 sprays, so you have to be a bit careful in order not to choke on this beast. Can't wait to wear it in more places that require a noticeable presence.

If you don't like oud stay away, but if u do then u need it in your collection, In the package u get a big bottle of perfume and a small one of concentrated oil of it, u apply the oil under the ear then spray over it the perfume, stays for days and project like a beast

If you're looking for real oud and real musk done right, look no further. Blue Oud is a no bullshit oud. It's ENORMOUS! The sillage and longevity are unbelievable. This one isn't for everyone, but if you like REAL oud, this is for you.

This is for oud lovers. An absolute beauty. Its clean and animalic at the the same time. A poopy fresh - if you will. One spray goes a long way, especially on clothes, like days on clothes. The smell is heavenly.

Arabian oud blue oud,simply the BEST perfume in the world. Its mostly indian oud. When spray at shirt it lasts 3 days. Its smell bring calm and happiness. Wear this to feel like the King of Arabia.

@JimmyZZ sorry but you got a fake refilled with Cool Water or something. This is pure funky oud, ZERO similarities to Cool Water. They literally could not be more different.

Arguably, one of the best oud I have smelled in my life. Masculine, Rich, Elegant, Animalic, and Amazing. You have to be a oud lover to appreciate this masterpiece.

Oud/Musk Combo. As other have referenced opens strong and rather skanky, but then settles down to lovely addictive oud/musk.

This is a very good value and addictive oud starter, it dials the cheesy aspect of oud up which is why i like it, leaves me wondering why people still fall for the western ouds like MFK and ombre nomade, i don’t get any other facets of oud like smoke, leather or animalics, I still prefer the Ajmal Shams one since it’s a bit sweeter and easier to wear, a fraction of the price of Blue oud too. Longevity and protection are great, I got the small bottle for half the price on Christmas sale.

Heavy, woody oud. This is a strong oud fragrance, that has its woodiness augmented further. Not very dirty or animalic but it punches you right on the nose. As it dries down, hours later, it gets much better as the musk starts to step forward, making the smell lighter and smoother. There is a light warm spiciness to the scent. This is for the fans of very woody scents. Not all oud fans, especially those who like their oud softer or more saffrony. Winter wear. "Like"

Good representation of actual REAL oud smell, it is not pleasant whatsoever, & extremely heavy as oud is. This either going to be extremely “respected” or hated, based on your culture. And yes, unlike what you guys think; in Saudi Arabia or Dubai, people do not wear oud on a daily basis, this type of heavy oud & “attar”/oud oil is mainly used for important & formal occasions.

I’m truly baffled by the reviews, I feel misled. All I smell is a blue frag, very similar to Cool Water. I really don’t smell oud at all. Maybe for the first few minutes? Maybe? It is a very good quality frag, but if you are looking for oud look elsewhere. And the eternal rating? Not even close. I thought I got a fake at first but I do think it’s genuine, kinda bummer.

Do not buy this if you are unfamiliar with oud. Top notch quality. Opening is harsh, dry down is real good. Projection and longevity is monstrous. Zero mass appeal and versatility. If you are looking for compliments, this ain't it. I can't wear it because people around me hate it. But i love it too much to sell it.

Surprised. Reviews been calling this skanky; they haven't smelt a lot of oud. This is actually quite a smooth oud perfume with a bit of floral and microscopic musky scent when dried down, and it's amazing. Anyone who likes real oud, will like this.

Tried this on at Arabian Oud, really wasn't for me. I did like the top notes of oud, but it develops into a smoky not oud incense vibe underneath. It lasted 24hrs, and then remained on fabrics for another week. I think it lasts too long. There are oud notes that smells a lot like Tuwaiq that they have, until it dries down. I'd say once it dries down, there are a lot of smoky incense notes that reminded me of Black Afghano/Anubis Kiss. All in all, its a bit too much for me and only like the top oud notes, I like the balanced balsamic sweetness of Royal Oud so much better.

It's just oud and musk I feel that the scent is annoying it's like the Indian oud oil with musk and it's the same as the other arabic oud fragrances but if you are looking for a natural oud smell so buy this one however it's very expensive

A heavy oud scent, very strong and masculine. Can be offending. Not versatile. For hard-core oud lovers. Personally, not my cup of tea.

I unfortunately sat too close to a coworker wearing this. Reminds me of a more forgiving Ajmal Alf Laila with that fecal oud main note. The cling is so strong I had to change my coat (I have near zero tolerance to most ouds especially fecal smelling ones) and I still smell the putrid thing on my skin. Can't wait to go home and hopefully wash this skank off. >.

Sprayed it on my wrist, in the Arabian oud shop some time ago last year. This smells like oud and musk, simple straightforward (well Oud is complex on it's own) - a very nice smelling scent that smells similar to Arabian oud majestic special oud with all the other ingredients like the rose taken out and with just the oud and musk at the forefront. The blue part can be interpreted the same way a normal "Blue Scent" is interpreted, in terms of - the actual oud used is not a special type of "Blue oud" it's just a normal type of oud, (by normal I mean a real oud, it's not the mega expensive top tier Oud, it's just normal oud oil, so it's not super rare kinam oud oil or the top of the grade Cambodian oud oil, although the Oud may come from those regions, it's probably organic farmed oud oil, not the rare oil from the wild trees,(if it was it would be difficult to mass produce this scent). All that said even the "grown and harvested" oud oil is expensive and most oud scents on the market ,do not use the baseline organic oud oil, so at least you get real oud oil, which is better than most oud scents. Despite this even the baseline Oud oil that is real from the tree is enough to blow the socks off of anyone who appreciates Oud. The musk's used are the same as the ones used in "Blue fragrances" - (that's where the blue takes action), it's a mixture of fragrance molecules that gives the oud it's "Blue" facets. So all in all a nice fragrance, seems simple on "on paper" but it is a must try for those who like Oud.

Oud Azraq or Blue Oud in English from the Arab House of Perfumery Niche Haute Luxury Arabian Oud from Saudi Arabia is perfume an Oriental 'Oud Woody Musky Masculine; This fragrance was launched in 2021. It opens with a spicy rose sprinkled with spicy saffron and dusty with earthy patchlouli. Soon a mix of dark oud, animalic and with a stable nuance surrounds and smothers this rose over time. The 'oud is already taking the lead. A dark incense mist is reminiscent of the steam of a boiling Masala black tea ready to be served, adding a slight aromatic touch to the perfume. Noble woods with a slightly more prominent creamy sandalwood enhancing the woody character of the fragrance. I can already tell you that the performance is excellent. Here the animality of musk is also highlighted with a roughness that forms an excellent duet with the 'oud. By the way, 'oud natural, sweet, woody, smoky, animalic, stable, very competent in the range of US$200.00 for 50ml... I don't know if I would classify Blue Oud as another 'Oud & Rose; Here there is much less pink and fleeting and much more 'oud all the time. All these other notes and chords released by Arabian Oud are imperceptible to me, Blue Oud is all about 'oud with musk, a very arabesque composition. Delicious Perfume! It's very similar to the oil-based classic oud, which costs $15 for 12ml from Ajmal and, lasts forever + projects insanely... seriously, there’s nothing extra about blue oud $$$!... and guess what? The oil-based regular oud lasts 2 days on my skin, even after showering, and it gets better and better over time... unfortunately the late late dry-down that I love blooms after many hours!!! And lasts until the second day (showers included). I know, insane! I recommend testing it first... it's a very oriental Middle Eastern oud... it's not dirty, but it might be offensive to some people due to its strength.

In the end it smells like TF Oudwood, Bulgari Black, Davidoff Amber Blend, Drakkar Noir, Nasomatto Black Afghano and hints of Davidoff Cool Water. The oil is sweet and ambery, where as the spray version is more barnyardy. When you first apply the oil and then the spray, you get a Danish Blue Cheese aroma paired with Singleton 12 years. For oud lovers it is a must have, for beginners give it a try but be patient. For oud haters, I don’t know, maybe they love to hate.

I bought this on a trip to Mecca in 2021 and have used it sparingly since it is strong. High quality for real oud lovers. Very feminine on me, after the opening it becomes all rose and powder. I love it! On my husband it smells more rose, leather, and wood. It is truly unisex and beautiful.

@ald007 He doesn't have an idea what he's talking. He's comparing a $200 fragrance to a $15 oil. For $15 you won't get pure natural oud at all. Just because the Ajmal oil lasts a long time, doesn't mean its a good choice.

I don't own this one but this definelty was not launched in 2021, it was launched long before, (before LV Pur Oud, Frederick Malle's The Night) I've been watching this for a while and can't wait to sample and/or buy this.

This literally smells like a barnyard full of horses with feces that hasn’t been picked up in months. Absolutely appalling people choose to wear this, ha! No offense, but mannnnnnn, it truly smells like doodoo.

If you want to smell like Makkah, get this. VERY strong Cambodian oud that will have the whole room smelling, I could even smell it from outside my house. Perfect for the masjid, very soothing scent.

I got this one as a gift and it is classical Arabian gulf ( Khaleji ) perfume .Personally I don't wear it often as the concentration is very offensive
