D/Oud Camboodi

My wife brought me a number of Arabian Oud oils last year from a trip to Saudi Arabia. This one is just so good. It is really deep, potent oud. It does not have any sharp qualities to me (some ouds are almost metallic in a menacing way, but I have only now had this experience since having Covid...) but it is very strong. I stayed at a friends for one night on a trip, and had put on a single swipe, putting a little behind each ear and on the top of my chest. We went on a trip together for 5 days and when he returned he could still smell it in the room. (Which he said he liked.) For me, this oil is like participating in an ancient custom, this oud no doubt has smelled essentially the same stretching back through time. I don't know if you could really be intimate with someone for some time after putting this on. It is really like living in a cosmic cloud of spiritual fragrance. I don't know if it is inviting or not, but I absolutely love it. Makes western perfumery appear *very* differently after wearing this. I have bought some lesser quality oils from other places but they do not compare in the slightest in terms of quality. I also have one called "Amber Malaky(sp) and another one I can't remember the name of. The are all the same quality and a 5ml oil will last quite some time. This is premium, straight up. 10/10

I have smelled other aged Cambodian Oud essential oils to compare this one to. This is a pleasant oud with slightly less animalic qualities to the complexity but still almost there. It starts off pretty potent with intense woody notes, like sticking your nose up to the wood of a barn on a wet day. It then dries down to a very nice dark spice with some deep resinous qualities. A tiny dab is all that is needed for great sillage. It becomes a skin scent after about 3 hours in the summer heat but lasts 20-30 hours as a skin scent.

The large bottle decants are on the lower end scale of oud, however blending with lotion sometimes activates the notes and softens the harsh quality to a very wearable oud of higher ranking.

This was a gift from my father’s business partner. I remembered the first time I try it on my skin , and it was like magic. Even though, after the party , my father didn’t like it so he asked me If I would keep it , and I couldn’t believe that he was offering me for free one of the most expensive ingredients in perfume industry. This oud oil is very special, is like a magic potion of seduction that provides the final touch to the perfect aromatic composition ( specially for collectors , where they used to combine several fragrant notes in their signature perfume ). The smell of oud oil is warmth, complex, resinous, Intense, a fragrant ingredient that is very special in the middle eastern perfume industry. But as many potions, be careful , take your time to apply it, this oil is not for a hurry , it is for the individual who knows the meaning of patience. Oud oil is perfect to preserve any kind of perfume , where it provides complexity to citrusy and fruity colognes. Is perfect to add masculinity to any femenine fragrance , perfume or essential oil. Oud oil is for personalities who are like fire , that are not shy to take the attention from others. It is for passionate individuals who are constantly seeking for new adventures and experiences. Oud oil is not for teenagers and people who are new in the perfume world and industry ,where they are looking for something where they can just smell fine. There’s nothing normal or boring about it. Oud oil is magic & seductive. Oud oil is like reading a book where you can find history, mystery,witchcraft and of course, true love.

The arabian, middle eastern, and expensive scent... The only thing about this fragrance it is very strong... The small bottle was about 5 ml and is very costly... It is suitable for men and women who want to enjoy the mood of the arabian and middle eastern... I have smell this perfume when they want to perform a prayer... But not suitable to wear it for office or work...
