Royal Oud

I tried this at Arabian Oud in Philly and OMG, this is transcendental and spiritual. It's hard to choose there, they have such amazing quality fragrances right now, but I sprayed this on to see if I liked it more than the other 2 fragrances I bought the day before. It is really good, and now I have to decide if I want this one, or the 2 I bought before. I won't be letting go of the 2018 Majestic Special they still had old stock left, but I'm between this one or keep both Tuwaiq and Tarteel Silver. **Update: I ended up going with this instead of Tuwaiq and Tarteel Silver. This fragrance hit me like walking into an aromatic garden full of actual plant and flower smells and I was getting rich bourbon balsamic notes on my skin, very delicious. The oud in this is the real deal, like using an oil/attar. It is a thick concentration. I already had some straight rose oil on my finger but the rose coming from that spray combined was pretty nice. I did feel like it holds its own even without extra rose on top, but if there is anything to add, its more fresh rose oil. The Cambodian Oud mixed with Trad Oil certainly changes its dynamics from typical Cambodian. It's also the more high end aged Cambodian in this one. Comes out a very nice terpene-balsamic sensual warmth. This one smells like what so many others want to smell like but doesn't quite have the quality ingredients to pull this off as well as Royal Oud. I have a sensitive nose, this fragrance lasted 12hr+ on me. I even showered and it lasted into next day after the shower as a skin scent. I think those are becoming used to the smell if they think its not projecting, there is nothing wrong with projection according to me. I've had some that don't project or last, and this is perfect for me. This ended up being my grail scent. I don't think I need another scent, maybe just things to add to this beauty, like a dab of fleeting rose or lotus oils here and there. Basically, this is a balanced dream in a fragrance and is my grail scent that Arabian Oud has. It evoked old memories and made me wonder what new ones I could make while wearing this scent. I chose having this over 2 award winning fragrances they had. It will be difficult to wear anything else now, I'd have to wear it while also wearing this one. Easily a signature scent, and it just wouldn't smell as good if they made a cheaper copy with less quality ingredients. I wouldn't want that.

Royal Oud (al-'Oud al-Malaki in Arabic) is, as its name suggests, a truly regal fragrance. I have only ever encountered one sprayable oud fragrance better than this: the monumental Kalakasi Oud by Abdul Samad al-Qurashi. This here is a luxurious spray that can be purchased alone or in the full set with the accompanying oil. The oud oil (dahn al-'oud) is to be applied first and then this spray added as a layer. That combo is too rich for me. It's literally an Arabian prince's fragrance and something you'd wear in a palace or a burr (desert camp). My own preference is to apply the lovely Mukhallat Diwan al-Sharq oil before applying this. Wow. Literally outstanding. I'd wear this combo to meet a king and expect that king to be impressed. It's that good. 10/10

Very smooth high quality Cambodian Oud that opens up in his natural raw form with dip earthy sophisticated mystical tone associated with flowers and dark caramel accords perfectly combined with musk, ambergris, rose, and a touch of saffron. This is the King of the Kings, it is the regal Royal Oud that rules the entire Oud kingdom. Cambodian Oud, Rose, Ambergris and Musk combined in a perfect harmony with the universe that made me buy a triple back up. Perfectly elegant and sophisticated which is a little uncommon for a natural out based perfume. No stinky stuff here, just elegance and royalty in a bottle. The 80ml bottle cost $700 but I believe it is well worth it if you compare this concoction with other offerings from the real Oud market. Enjoy!

I bought this and I was blown away now I understand what the word danky means this is real high quality barnyardi oud this is a special fragrance you only wear this around well to do people who have smelled high quality perfume regular people who enjoy designer cologne won't understand what they're smelling this is undeniably good 👍🔥🔥 and it lasts forever I have worn this a couple times I put it on in the morning and by night time it's still in the opening on my skin I haven't been able to smell the rose yet mainly cuz I wear this in the winter I can't wait to wear this in the summer I'm very happy with this purchase if you get the chance to buy this please get it it's $700 on their website but you might be able to get it cheaper somewhere else

Starts off as a simplistic dark cambodian oud, teeny bit animalic, with just little hints of rose musk from within. At this point, you dismiss this as mid, terribly overpriced, just like I did. But after 5 minutes of drying down in my skin, it turned into the most beautiful rose-oud fragrance I've ever smelt. It's so good that it spoiled the rest of my oud perfumes and I just use this now. I'm someone who gets used to perfumes easily and move on, but this is honestly the only perfume I have 3 bottles of! Including the oil. My opinion, Arabian Oud's best. Pricy and rare it might be outside Middle East, for anyone that loves rose oud fragrances, this is the tippity top. I can't see anything topping this off.

I managed to get the oil and the perfume in the lush wooden box. What a presentation! As others said it is smooth. I cannot really smell much barnyard, it's office safe I would say. However, the most disappointing thing for me is that it just doesn't stay strong all that long. On me it becomes a skin scent all too quickly. A similar thing to it (also with great presentation box and stand for the bottle) is Dahn Oud Ateeque from Abdul Samad Al Qurashi and that lasts much longer.

Honestly I’m a big fan of Arabian Oud and I have full premium collection from Arabian Oud and this is the most expensive one they sell but I’m very disappointed as a fan. I don’t feel the Longevity and silage what other perfumes have from Arabian Oud. I wish this could perform better

To my nose this resembles Montale Arabians Tonka. I love both. Both released on 2019. Royal Oud Arabian Oud is more expensive though. The scent is excellent and the performance is excellent

This has to be one of the best fragrances ever created. The combination of Rose and Oud blended so well. Its Animalic, yet sweet & friendly. Smells luxurious, classy and unique.

Smells excellent The animalics are beautifully done here. But they are relatively simple to the nose since they are so well blended. The civet is beautiful. The oud is beautiful cambodi oud with beautiful dried fruit facets, woody, powdery, cola-like with animalic and balsamic facets. No barnyard or faecal facets I can detect. The rose is ... nice enough. It's the weakest part of this fragrance due to the beauty of the other components. It's a slightly more watery rose at times, slightly more jammy at others - a little sweet, jammy, and watery altogether. It smells of many roses blended, and thus does not smell strongly of any particular rose facet. That being said, this is an excellent composition and a beautiful scent. It lacks in projection, sillage and longevity are good but a bit lower than you would expect for this type of composition. Great fragrance, overpriced but reasonable value on discounters, just ok performance.

If you can find this fragrance at discounters or second hand, the price to value ratio is amazing. Competes with rose/oud fragrances 2-3x it's price per ml. It's a musky rose oud done very well. You can smell the quality of the oud and rose

I have tested this fragrance in a store in London with extremely high expectations, since the set costs £1,200 expecting a mind-blowing, fragrantic, and truly unique experience. Needless to say, it was underwhelming to say the least. This is just animalic top notes you get from things similar to civet and animalic oud, which then dries down into a sharp and woody oud. The opening of this perfume is identical to Al Haramain Cambodi Intense (EDP) and the dry down is similar to Al Haramain Imperial Oud, although I much prefer Imperial Oud. The performance is also subpar which is crazy considering the price. Scent: 6/10 Longevity: 10/10 Projection: 7.5/10

Ever smelled a standard middle eastern Rose/Oud DNA? Then you know what this smells like. It is a smooth, long-lasting one no doubt, but please don't buy this expecting to be blown away by some incredulous new scent experience. You've probably smelled this before, what you're getting here is just a familiar scent but made well. Imo there is no way in a hundred thousand years this should be $700 or whatever ridiculous price it goes for. You don't even get the fancy presentation anymore, just a standard cardboard box if you're buying just the EDP. Maybe worth $150 if you had money to burn. The bottle is nice. It smells good. It lasts a long time. Just don't expect anything new or creative. Edit: A couple years on from this, while the remarks about it not being anything new still stand, I don't think I've found a rose/oud that smells higher quality than this before or since. I stand by it not being worth the insane MSRP but this is an excellent fragrance around $150-$200 and smells better than every other rose/oud I've ever smelled in that range.

Aptly named, when i wear this i do feel like royalty. Heavenly stuff..the quality you get justifies the high price. Refined smooth oud & musk like no other. It is dense heavy, not for unexperienced noses but by no means it is skanky or animalic, it smells so clean and devine. The rose stays very soft at the back (which is one of the things i loved about it). Arabian Oud's most expensive offering, that by itself says it all! When a genuine perfume house in SAUDI ARABIA put this as a premium offering to their clients, then you know it is the ultimate authentic oud experience. From their perspective it is the best sprayer perfume they have (they have more expensive oils), have not tried all their perfumes to judge but Royal Oud is flawless in my eyes.

This is more musky then oudy. name is bit misleading. It is a simple composition of 3 notes. It is done well, it is very smooth with high quality ingredients
