Signature

The name fits perfectly. You immediately feel this really could be anyone's signature scent if they like it enough. That is exactly its identity. There are only faint Arabic cues here, rather than the profile of a conventionally Arabian perfume. Now listen... I really do not have a bad word to say about it. It's nearly perfect. Signature opens with cardamom and a green lemongrass freshness. Very quickly, I get a clean patchouli running through it. From the start, it's cedar-forward. As it develops, a musky amber comes in and gives it a creamy, powdery, flowery, faintly sweet texture. There is also a mineral-metallic facet to it. I mean that quite literally: for example, my girlfriend picked up something like an old newspaper here, and once she mentioned it, I started noticing it too. It adds character without disrupting its overall cleanliness. What makes Signature so impressive is how easy it is to wear. It's like a Middle Eastern alternative to blue fragrances — maybe not in the smell itself, but in the way it is put together. It is the kind of fragrance you can wear any time of year, day or night. It is not too loud, but it projects mildly for a very long time. In terms of similarities, its cedar-based creaminess strongly reminds me of SHK I, which is another absolute banger (one of the best) and something I will review soon-ish. They share that same plush, woody smoothness, though Signature feels more expensive in texture — as it should. If I had to recommend one blind buy of the two, I would say go with SHK I, simply because the price is so, so much lower. As always with my purchases, I somehow got it for a crazy low price by accident. I'm happy to have it because, under normal circumstances, I would never be able to afford a bottle from Arabian Oud, as I'd prefer to have ten cheap stinkers instead of just one bottle. This one comes across as a fragrance that does not try at all, yet earns its name in a way most perfumes only advertise with TikTok marketers' hands. This is basically a near-perfect easy reach. Super polished and wearable, just different enough to be special. Crazy expensive, obviously. Finally on Fragrantica database! Arabian Oud - Signature, in my experience, one of the pioneers of the woody-amber overdose trend that is still storming the fragrance industry (peaked by BR540, then Oud for Greatness kind of copied and tweaked the theme and became successful, on the side eastern-leaning brands like Mancera/Montale, Rasasi, Ajmal etc. released many more clones, inspirations that I just lost count). But Signature, to me, is a better executed one though there is likely another brand/perfumer who came up with this theme even before those, but just could not make their name heard to the world. I smelled it first in Dubai shortly after its release around 2017-2018 and this was an instant purchase, which I normally don't do. This smell was everywhere in Dubai, attar oils, ventilation scent of the malls, passersby, incense sticks, you name it... What I like about Signature is it feels smooth, the creaminess of cedarwood, though a little dusty (the musky effect of clary sage) with some abstract Amberwood F/ Amber Xtreme / Ambrocenide kind of high-impact woods and combination of patchouli and most likely there's an oakmoss touch too. From opening to drydown this remains linear which is what I like. It fits to all temperatures except high summer heat IMO, since this is very dry-musty-woody with slight herbal nuance with near-zero fresh/zest top notes. It doesn't shout but very persistent, longevity is great and people will smell you and your sillage even if you think it's a light scent. It is not. People will know Instant Crush by Mancera or Arabians Tonka by Montale which are undoubtedly cloned from something, perhaps from Signature, who knows. Hell, even BR540 is released the same year as this one (unclear which is first) but who says BR540 has not been inspired by one of these lesser known gems from the eastern world?

This stuff is straight up amazing. I really struggle to think of what to compare it to, but it is the epitome of a dry (not in a bad way), woody, herbal, slightly ambery unique masterpiece that should be about as safe and impossible to hate as it gets. Meeting those criteria, I can not imagine a better signature scent for a guy of any age. This is a 100/10 for uniqueness and likeability. It has a slight mustiness, but in a masculine way, not offensively at all. I'll take this over any generic blue scent any freakin day of the week. The sillage probably isn't too bad, and the projection is reasonable but not crazy, which should be fine for its purpose as a signature. I'll see how it endures for me throughout the days. It smells strangely familiar, but I'll have to get back to you on that. I don't think I know of anything that smells just like it or even terribly comparable. If anyone knows of a way to get it cheaper than around 140US a bottle, I would be eternally grateful <3

When I was checking Arabian Oud perfumes, I saw Signature and felt that it will be my signature scent as the name says :). I went 3 times to their store and forgot the check it out, and bought almost 10 fragrances, but not Signature. Then I went to their store particularly to check it, and grabbed it from the first sniff. Lemosgrass and cardamom in the beginning with very prominent amber from the beginning till 5 hours, the drydown is very lovely cedar wood. It becomes deeper as the time passes, has nothing to dislike. Long lasting, but the projection and sillage are medium. I have got my signature scent now.

A very nice and potent woody fragrance that gets compliments at the office. Signature truly is signature scent worthy, and is one of my top five favorite fragrances from Arabian Oud. Although it is marketed towards men, women that enjoy dry woody fragrances will enjoy this one as well. This is a fragrance that will last over twelve hours and three sprays will fill a room. Signature can be worn year-round but really shines during Autumn and Winter. A solid 10/10

I have totally avoided this one for the Instant Crush/BR540 comparisons for years. Then I smelled it on a coworker and was surprised how wrong I was. He gave me a puff and now I can't stop sniffing my wrist. This one is a seamless ambrox-herbal bomb, it fixed the stuff I hate nicely (patchouli 🤮,bug spray notes). Might be getting this down the line when a sale pops up

Office-Signature-Scent. It’s versatile and in a similar profile (not same) as Amiri and Sultani. However, slightly muted on projection and sillage making it very office safe. The dry down has sweetness similar to Baccarat Rouge but not as profound. Unlikely to offend anyone. Aptly named as Signature. Masculine and pleasant. Shukran Habibi!

This is my signature scent. finished 6+ bottles since released. the longest lasting in my collection and the most sexy safe versatile and most complimented beast i have ever owned and will never stop. i always buy it at 89$ 50% discounted on annual sales that goes on for couple of months.

I blind bought this and am very pleased. the best smelling thing i’ve ever put my nose too. Its longevity is insane aswell (12 hours+), medium to low sillage which isn’t a negative in my opinion. smell: 12/10 longevity: 10/10 compliments: 10/10

Layer this with Al Nadhama Caprice or any other LNDL Bleu Electrique alternative on top for a high quality scent profile. Thank me later!

The musk and cedar work to enrich the beautiful cardamom note. Not a great projector but lasts well. It smells so well blended.

Cardamom bomb with a nice woody base . Very sophisticated and confident. Gonna be rocking this when summer comes. 8.5/10

Very pleasant, “second skin” scent, but for men - because the phrase “second skin” is often reserved for women’s perfume. Musky, woody, a little sweet, very clean, but intimate sillage/projection, which is quite disappointing. If you knew you were going to spend a few hours next to complete strangers, or in close proximity to people, and you wanted to smell nice, but didn't want to bother even the most sensitive noses, this would be the kind of fragrance you could get away with. But, it could do with a boost in power, because even if it was a bit stronger (not even "beast mode", just upping it from intimate to moderate projection and sillage) it would be very difficult to offend someone while wearing this. Consider it like a variation of Oud Wood or Carved Oud. *It doesn't smell directly like either*, but it does the "same thing" in terms of profile, the kind of person who'd wear it, the situations it would suit, and the disappointingly intimate performance. Someone below said that it isn’t very Middle Eastern, and I somewhat agree. Of all the Arabian Oud fragrances I’ve tried, this is one of the least “Middle Eastern” smelling ones. If you've tried a lot of fragrances from different parts of the world, this won't strike you as *super* Middle Eastern or difficult for a "Western" person to pull off. But to a person who isn't into the hobby, they'd probably identify this as smelling distinctly Middle Eastern in comparison to mainstream designers, blues and freshies. Signature is a good name choice. An every season, every setting type of fragrance, especially a corporate/work environment. A very nice fragrance - might even be one of my favourites from the brand that I’ve tried behind Amiri and Sultani - but way too weak to buy at full price.

I like this fragrance, to me it's an 'office fragrance'. Subtle, sweet, airy, powdery are how I would describe it. Not an offensive scent, very safe. It's a unisex fragrance, but leans more towards the masculine side. You can wear this fragrance whenever, it's versatile. Stays on the skin for awhile I've noticed and holds it's initial scent consistently for a long time. Initially it does project- but it's covid so I haven't really been able to get compliments in public etc. but my family members said they liked the smell when I walked by in the house. I give it a solid 7.5/10- not super amazing or blown away, but a good solid fragrance. I wouldn't pay full price personally, but if I found the bottle for under $100 I'd pull the trigger. Performance I give it an 8/10, not super beast mode but good overall.

You can't tell me that Signature, Diwan, Sultani and Amiri are not flankers of each other. All in the same vein of one another with slightly differences and nuances. Amiri is the only one I own a full bottle of although I plan on adding some of the others

Suitable for everyday usage & specially office. performance is below average. Longevity 5-6 hours with intimate projection from the start. Got it as a gift.

I have bought it from Arabian oud store so no question of it being fake. It's very weak and weakest of all the perfumes I own. The batch is 2023 so it's not even that old. even after months of maceration it's freaking weak

I don't like leaving negative reviews, but I went out of my way to pick up a sample of this because of how well this has been received. I strongly dislike this fragrance. I find it poorly blended with a distinguishable and offensive chemical smell. The offensive smell mostly fades away over the course of a couple of hours. At this point, the scent becomes much more pleasant. I prefer sultani and amiri.

Not my cup of tea. It is a bit medicinal, synthetic, musky and gives off a weird vibe. Reminds me a bit of Al Fareed from the same brand, but this is more plain or musky maybe. I miss some fun in it. If I'll change my mind about this I will let you know. 5/10

Interesting comments below... This reminds me of Dr. Squatch’s Birchwood Breeze scent. I think it’s super easy-to-wear and a delightful scent. I may actually pick up a bottle of this depending on its price... I’m shocked.
