Firstly I would like to say that I am not a perfume connoisseur & I have zero expertise. My opinion is purely based on my experience alone. This is one of my all-time favourite perfumes. It is incredibly underrated for what it offers, easily mistaken for a perfume that costs over 200 Euros. I bought it as a gift when it was on offer for approximately, I believe, 22 dollars at the time. Unfortunately, it leaked in the package & smelt it for the first time & Oh MY LORD, it was amazing. I instantly ordered 3 bottles for myself. I'm not going to explain the notes in detail because already people here have explained it really well, and my experience is similar. To me, this is one of the most well-rounded perfumes. I bought this, I think, around 2015 or 2014 & used it for approximately 2.5 years daily for every occasion. Out of 365 days in a year, I used it for probably 350 days. Received a lot of compliments from multiple people of varying ages. Projection: 10/10. People sitting close to me could easily smell it 2 feet away for approximately 1.5 hours. Nobody found the perfume to be aggressive, invasive or off-putting. Sillage: 7/10. Does leave a rose & woody oud trail in my experience when I walked around. Smell: 10/10.. As one commenter has mentioned below, it's rosey & woody and perfectly balanced. Longevity: 10/10. Lasted for approximately 6-7 hours for me consistently. On some days, I could smell it for 8-9 hours. Overall: 10/10. To me, this is my perfect perfume. I love the rose-wood smell combination. This would still be my daily perfume, but currently, I'm trying to expand my perfume palette by trying & using perfumes with entirely different notes. I will always buy a bottle of this when I'm low or if there is a sale. I like the log packaging as well, and it is quite unique.

#1341 in my "Tour de Fragrance" As a marketing guy I'm often puzzled by the ineptitude of other marketing guys, and this is one of those times. The branding of this scent is a crime. It is every bit as good as "Kalemat" and "Arabian Knight", but they call it "Woody" and put it in a bottle that looks like something you'd give your kid on their 8th birthday. Niche in scent and performance, but you brand it like you would a $10 children's scent and price it at over $100? WTAF? This is a simple rose/oud oriental. No citrus notes. Solid longevity and projection. But I doubt many will want to spend $110 for this when there are thirty or more rose/oud scents that are inexpensive. You have all the gourmand leaning MFK "Oud Satin Mood" clones like Lattafa "Oud Mood", Maison Alhambra "Baroque Oud Satin", Fragrance World "Barakkat Satin Oud", Paris Corner "Oud Satin", Al Wataniah "Bareeq Al Dhahab", and all the ones that opt to add a citrus note like Swiss Arabian "Shaghaf Oud Aswad" (including Arabian Oud's "Woody" flanker "Woody Intense"). Even all the Montale and Mancera oud scents cost less than this. The thing I think somewhat sets this apart is it's simplicity. But I feel the same about Reminiscence Oud and it's only $19. You could at least give this a more romantic name and put it in a classier bottle for $110. Unlike many rose/oud scents this is small office safe. Good quality. I love smelling it. But I think it's over priced.

A beautiful, smooth scent. This is my first oud fragrance, I tried several at an Arabian oud store and settled on this as I tend towards Woody, ambery scents. At first I was unsure about the strong saffron opening, but the spice quickly develops and blends into a gorgeous woody rosy combination, becoming warmer over time as the Amber comes through. I’m not sure if my nose just gets accustomed, but the projection seems to fall off pretty quickly even when the scent stays on my skin for ages. Maybe I just need to spray more. This will be the first of many Arabian oud perfumes I get, as they’re so unique.

I believe once you get past the first 10-15 minutes of that animalic scent, you are left with a beautiful traditional middle eastern fragrance that works so well as a base for layering, or as a one man show that would impress anyone who smells it. It is definitely NOT BLIND BUY SAFE. You really need to test this perfume and understand how it develops to determine if it is something you would want to wear. This will be a staple in my collection.

Woody is Excellent Perfume with Few Notes Oud, Rose, Patchouli, Amber & Musk. It starts off with Oud, Then comes Rose & Patchouli into Picture, Drydown has Musk & Amber. All Notes are Mixed Well. Amazing Scent which can be worn by both Men & Women. Longevity & Projection is Average for this Perfume & Presentation is Excellent, Sprayer is V good & pours out lot of juice. My Rating is 4.2 out of 5.

I am in love with this fragrance because it doesn't has a sharp scent You can use this fragrance for wedding the scent it's composed of ( oud with some roses and musk and a little patchouli note ) the smell is really the embodiment of Arabic fragrances which is has the anmalic scent

This is a nice simple Oud perfume. Its the type of perfume that will stay constant on skin. Projection and longevity is impressive.

Funny - the reviews here are really all over the place regarding notes as well as performance. Not being a big fan of the classic oud and rose combo, I was slightly hesitant to try this one out. Turns out it's actually really good. The opening eastern blast of saffron and oud is drier than in many others scents, and when the rose enters it's dark and sort of held back - probably as it mixes very well with the patchouli. The drydown is far more western smelling with sandalwood, musk and amber - but it simply smells great and lasts a loong time. Based on the notes listed here, I could suspect my decant to be of Arabian Oud Woody Intense, as I find quite a bit of saffron in the opening and blending in with the oud - but of course I could be mistaken. Even if it's not exactly cheap at 60£/80$ for 100 ml, it's still a great bang for the buck with an excellent projection and a longevity that is through the roof - I get 8-12 hours consistently with only two sprays. Edit - just checked the notes listed on AO's website and they are as follows : Saffron, rose, sandalwood, patchouli, dry amber, musk and oud.

I'm not familiar with oud scents so recently had a little voyage of discovery at the Arabian Oud store in London. This is one of the half dozen scents I tried and probably my favourite. The sales advisor told me it's one of the most popular fragrances there being that it's not too heavy an oud. Fortunately it's not too skanky or animalic as I can't deal with those kinds of scents for more than a minute or two! Woody's opening is pretty strong, a real woody blast that has some freshness to it. When the rose becomes more apparent the fragrance becomes really quite pleasant, much more so than the opening. I like this stuff a lot, a pleasant (safe?) eastern perfume that can appeal to western tastes. Performance was superb, I had one spray on my hand and it was projecting for hours with at least 8 hours longevity (washed my hands a lot after that) probably would've been more.

Beautiful fragrance and it is one oudy/woody fragrance that can be worn for any occasion/weather. Unfortunately it does not last well on my skin, I’m seeing mixed reviews regarding this below. I will probably always repurchase as I love the almost medicinal vibe of the fragrance. Also smells pretty much the same from initial spray to dry down. One of my most complimented fragrances but doesn’t last on me I need to reapply which is not typical for me for Middle Eastern fragrances. My mother also needs to reapply it when she wears it. I would recommend as it is a fair price.

I received this as a sample with another order Arabian Oud order. I did not like it at first and the longer I wear it, the more I am smelling Kilian Straight to Heaven. I will have to put them on together and see if they are as similar as I am thinking. Overall, I like it, but can't say I LOVE it.

What isn't mentioned in the list of scents is the strong citronella in the mix. It gives the perfume something of a mosquito repellent smell. Mixed with the woody aspect, it is almost like camping. I have tried the spray, and it doesn't seem to last more than 2 hours.

I have a sample of this and I am a little disappointed. Woody is a nice woody scent (what a surprise :D ) but not FB worthy. It is quite expensive, but the sillage and longevity are maximum average, if not below average.

Okay this fragrance is beast mode, it's STRONG- which means this is one that you have to let cool down for awhile or you WILL offend someone. Give it like 20 minutes to cool off, I would not spray this in my car and walk straight into a grocery store or gym with this on without giving it a proper cool down. The initial opening I don't care for it's too strong IMO, but I actually really like the dry down after a few minutes. The scent itself to me is a nice quality rose and soft woody scent. IMO its a unisex fragrance that leans masculine. It's not a serious scent to me, it's more of a playful scent. Although this is not a safe fragrance either, this is more of a risky fragrance. I'd wear this in the colder weather, maybe during a colder afternoon when I'm outside with friends. I wouldn't feel comfortable wearing this in a small space indoors because of its strength, this would make sense to wear outdoors at a party or something. I've sampled a number of Arabian Oud's fragrances- they use quality ingredients, they perform well, and each scent has it's own distinct identity. I also tried the Woody Intense which is okay, but I prefer this one- it has more personality IMO All around I give this a 7/10, a decent fragrance that some may like it and some may not like it. Do not blind buy this! Sample it first.

This was the first scent I liked from Arabian Oud when the store first opened on London’s Oxford Street. I was new to oud so this was my safe entry into agarwood. It’s very wearable and clean. I smell it now and its metallic bandaid opening reminds me of many of the Al-Rehab roll-ons like Al Sharquiah. Nice, but I’ve moved on.

Ew! So I just got this as a gift from my dad who was visiting Saudi Arabia. Idky out of all the Arabian oud fragrances he chose this one lol. It is very smooth that’s about the only thing I’d say good about it. But smell wise it’s some skanky oud and rose. Like it almost smells like sweat and oud after spraying. The dry down is alittle more tolerable but still this is not my type of Oud. It’s smells skanky and almost animalic. I do appreciate the gift but it’s crazy this cost 150$ plus. The only positive is that it’s a smooth scent so like it doesn’t smell like a synthetic mess. It is smooth. But that’s about it. Skanky oud with roses.

I have a great deal of love for this fragrance in its concentrated oil form, and I like the alcohol-based version. If I'd never smelled the oil, I would probably be happy owning the eau du parfume that is widely available... I bought my girlfriend Kalemat directly from Arabian Oud and when the package arrived there were three samples, Woody included. It was a small vial of incredibly potent mukhallat. It took a round or two to get into it, and I eventually diluted the remainder in half with alcohol to apply with an atomizer, but I became pretty hung up on the stuff. Eventually after trying to get hold of Arabian Oud and failing (this company is impossible to contact btw: No reply to our numerous emails (i google translated two into arabic after the first was ignored), we called every number we could find online but we never got through to a person). I finally bought the full bottle through a domestic vendor. My first sprays were a complete disappointment and I became convinced that I'd received a fake. It was a pale and watered-down version of the original sample I'd received. It took a few days of consideration before I came to the conclusion this was indeed authentic. I talked with the vendor and he was more than willing to issue a refund or exchange or even have the bottle re-shipped directly from Arabian Oud, but I'm fairly certain what I received was real. It's become a nice bottle to own and I use it and enjoy it, but it's hard to appreciate it knowing a superior version exists. I see I'm not alone in having received a sample along with a purchase of another AO product. I have yet to find the concentrate for sale and have not found a way to contact Arabian Oud for clarification. As for the fragrance in either form: Wood, Rose and an evolving array of many fascinating herbal, floral, heavy, light, exotic notes. It morphs. I have very little left of the original sample and just applied it. It's richer and deeper and much more complex than the bottle. But the bottle is very good too. That's all I've got. Please post contact info of AO if you know someone I can talk to about obtaining more of the Woody mukhallat. I've also considered finding a way to reconcentrate the bottle and if I do I'll post about it here.

The drydown reveals the gentle incense, along with woody notes with the lightest of Cambodian Oud. Also you can smell the dry amber accord. You have to apply liberally to be able to smell the drydown notes. The scent is unique, projects strong and with decent longevity. Expect olfactory fatigue whenever you apply. Try this out before you buy and try on your skin to get the right feel. This smells entirely different on paper strip.
