Yacht Mood

I went into the Arabian oud store with the sole intention of picking up a bottle of Arabian Leather, a fragrance I'd sampled recently and am blown away by, that's another story! Back to the product in question, Yacht Mood. Whilst in store I thought I'd take the opportunity to try some others from the brand as I'd heard good things from a few guys I know, I also had a little time to kill. Honestly, funds permitting i could have cleaned out the store, unfortunately that's not an option at this current time! I'm going back soon though, that much I do know. I mentioned to the assistant that I'd like to add a freshie too, possibly something marine to my selection at home. I tried a few that were very nice and worth considering as I lastly tried Yacht Mood. The bottle is so imaginative and fun, a super Yacht, impressive but not really my thing, I'd rather have plain packaging, save a few pounds on the cost and help reduce excessive waste! Anyway, I smelt the proffered strip. Hmmm, this needs to go on skin immediately, a few sprays added to my unscented arm, head down for a good inhalation and WOW! What am I smelling, my brain wasn't prepared at all. All my senses were momentarily scrambled by the incredible aroma sparkling off of my forearm. Citrus, marine, aromatic, just so spicy and salty too but masterfully blended to a concoction bordering perfection. After regaining my composure, I knew immediately that a bottle of this was coming home with me, becoming a staple of my collection alongside the aforementioned Arabian Leather. Obviously very different fragrances but undoubtedly at the top of their respective food chains. When adding in the price with a little discount they are just a no-brainer and shattering value. Ok, Yacht mood is strong, a monster of a fragrance but one that doesn't choke you out. It simply aromatises you and your 5-6+ ft surroundings in a wonderful way. Certainly a male fragrance from my experience but hey, who am I to suggest a woman won't enjoy such beauty! In fact, I'd say you should absolutely give it a try. I'd happily wear this on all but the coldest of days but it'll excel even further into the stratosphere when the "great yellow ball in the sky" is out and the temperature is warm and rising. Evening or day, this scent will garner attention and compliments without a doubt. How do I know? On the way out of the shopping centre I had to pop into an unrelated store to pick up something for a family member, the lady serving me said "you smell amazing", what is it? That rarely happens in real life, despite what YouTubers insist happens to them on a regular, if not daily basis.😉 Right, as mentioned in other reviews I'm sure it has similarities to other scents but for me it felt like it's own thing. An element of invictus, perhaps a tiny percentage. Possibly a whiff of layton, maybe to my mind but I can't quite identify why! Although be in no doubt, performance wise it'll turn anything PDM or Rabanne related on its head and pile drive it through the floor. This has balls! It's like a male model who is also a world champion MMA fighter, a heavyweight at that. Someone who has it all, bastards! This fragrance is just a very well considered, beautifully constructed product that stands on its own, doing what it does in its own unique and unashamed way. The fragrance does morph over the 10-12+ hours as the citrus takes a nap in the backseat and the other notes, salt, marine, gentle spice and florals all fight for a turn behind the wheel. Eventually they settle for a fair turn for all on the journey. As touched on, it certainly has similar longevity and performance to the marine monsters Black sea or Megamare without a doubt. I wear both regularly so feel I have a good grasp on their qualities in this genre. This offering is just nowhere near as challenging or opinion dividing for the general, perfume wearing masses. Niche, indie or designer lovers, there is something here for you all. It's hard to NOT like! I can't recommend it highly enough. As soon as the spring kicks in I'll be rocking this on a regular basis, it's that good.

[3] - THE TRANSITIONS OF THE SCENT FOR MY NOSE : - I found it more accurate as advertised on the official website of Arabian Oud 1- Opining : bergamot 2- Middle : Marine Notes - Orange Blossom 3- Base : Vanilla – Sandalwood - I can smell the intense dose of bergamot in the opening, which gives a dark freshness, then about 25 minutes, the sandalwood note appears with vanilla, taking the scent to the a sweet vibe in the dray down. [4] - THE PERFORMANCE : - The intensity and the sillage are very powerful ... almost eternal. - It is said that perfume houses in their first new releases, the performance of the perfume is at the top, and then the quality of performance decreases with the repetition of the release of perfumes. In fact, I hope this is not true, but I am happy to buy the first edition. [5] - YACHT MOOD (VIBES/SIMILARITY) : - Honestly, it reminds me of ( Invictus Paco Rabanne ) it have this kind of vibe but ( Yahcht Mood ) is more refined beast, way much better, sorry no comprassion at all. - The people who loves ( Ultra Male by JPG ) for sure they will love ( Yacht Mood ) but don't get me wrong there no similarity between them. - It's unisex, for all seasons and it can be for all occasions, depenes, your taste, your art of wearing and your (mood) - Really happy to have found it and to add it to my collection.

This was sprayed on me at a store in nyc. I had a connecting flight in nyc so in the 6 hours that i was waiting i went to times square. At their store the lady sprayed it on me and i wasn’t very impressed. It smelled basic and for 175$ there i didnt think it was worth it. Before i went back on the plane i scrubbed my arms so i wouldn’t bother anyone on the plane. After the scrubbing i could still smell it. throughout the 8hr plane ride i kept smelling my arm and the dry down was a lot better than the opening. When i got to my final destination 12 hrs after i sprayed it it still smelled strongly. at my hotel i took a shower and it still smelled. The fragrence smelled for over 30 hours i am not joking even after 2 showers. This longevity wasn’t a bad thing because it was very good but damn 30hrs is crazy. Longevity (2 shower 1 thorough hand wash plus 30hrs)12/10 Smell 8.3/10 Price 4/10

The ingredients listed on the box, in addition to the Fragrantica notes, also include lavender, geranium, rose, pine/pinene, patchouli, menthol, eucalyptus and camphor. There are tons of fragrances in this category so I’m sure it smells similar to others. Arabian Oud however is not a dupe house and only produces high quality fragrances. I really love Yacht Mood and it’s exactly what I’m looking for in a Spring Summer citrus fresh aquatic blue fragrance. This smells great and works really well on my skin with beast mode performance. I have other Arabian Oud fragrances I love so I confidently blind bought this and was not disappointed. Plus the bottle is very cool. 5/5 for me.

I love Arabian Oud. Somehow they managed to make a sweet-ish aquatic fragrance that captures their brand essence. Yes, it's not a ground-breaking fragrance, but it's everything it is advertised to be. Also the coolest bottle on your shelf - guaranteed!!

Such a beautiful fresh and sweet fragrance. Love the bottle design. A twist on the bubble gummy perfumes its smells safe and familiar but its also unique. The dry down is amazing. Way better alternative to Invictus or Hawas

Opening is very soapy. Within 30 minutes it turns into Hawas. Hawas on anabolic steroids. Longevity is forever and it projects for miles. I chit you not

They took Invictus and made it a nuke. I know legend is nuclear, but so is this. One spray to the back of the neck is enough. I was looking for an updated Invictus DNA because I like it but the drydown of legand got boring to me. This may be what I was looking for. I also smell a little Y myslf DNA from time to time as the orange blossom shines. Definitely dryer sheet vibe as well, but Invictus is already known for that. Overall, it's good. I have to wear it a little more to get the vibe, but overall, first impressions are its STRONG! Edit: I have to agree with with what I read on one of the invictus pages. Although I love this DNA, I can finally say it’s had its time. That time has passed, sadly. I recommend this to anyone looking for something like invictus legand only more powerful. Also, slightly better materials used. With everything that’s out right now I think I’ve moved on.

Set sail with this clean, fresh summer hit. Making a splash with buzzing bergamot, this rides the waves of fresh magnolia and vanilla while sandalwood anchors this scent giving a bit of depth, however, it is really the aquatic ocean notes that stand out as the captain on this ship. A very solid masculine sporty scent in the same boatclub as Invictus, Creed, Mont Blanc or Luna Rossa Ocean. The sillage leaves a wake in your path, and will not upset many as a solid blind reach. A little unoriginal and synthetic, but overall a a decent purchase. The bottle will look fun setting anchor on your dresser anyday.

At first, the top notes can be confused with a detergent of some sort or a cheap oud from one of those amazon stores. But as I wear it and let my senses explore the structure of this fragrance it becomes way more pleasing. The freshness and citrus opening leads you towards; as its name states, a docked yacht with a slew of wealthy moguls with impeccable taste, ready to set sail. Then the oud takes over as the Yacht returns to the docks with the sun barely peaking over the horizon, and you step out onto the deck to smell the evening sea breeze. This fragrance definitely puts you in the Yacht Mood!

This is strong and long lasting despite being a freshie. Compliment getter from ladies. Synthetic though. AO has much better offerings when it comes to quality. Something in this burned my skin BADLY each time i sprayed this on my neck. I was able to finish the bottle only by spraying it on my clothes.

To put it simply, oceanic, citrusy, powdery, and clean. You get the bergamot, the oceanic notes, the orange blossom and sandalwood. Wasn’t impressed tbh. 5/10 there are better stuff.

Aquatic sweet scent. Smells very familiar. On the same line as Hawas & Invictus. Performance cannot judge unless I have at least 2 full wearings. Will not buy a full bottle.

Smells like a dryer sheet. It’s a pass for me.

This leans more towards laundry detergent than a marine freshie. The only AO fragrance I've tested and disliked from the start. A dislike for the books.

I was going to have a list of fall winter fragrances on my channel and this wasn't a planned review, but OMG, once i tried this... I literally had to do a video review eventually. Now yes, I will say this the apple/berg dominant intro smelled generic. I was about to write this fragrance off but gladly it didn't last past 20-25 mins. On hindsight this generic smelling intro might be forgivable by mainstream users... BUT, past that, the highlight of this fragrance is this crazy strong, long lasting marine accord. Holy hell. Mass-appealing, strong and compliment racking without a doubt. The cheap price, marine accord being powerful and long lasting, and the super-yacht bottle are strong reasons to make this a grabber in your collection. Its an anytime anywhere perfume. Yacht Mood, starts off fresh and then morphs into marine bubble gum sweetness reminiscent of the many flankers of PC Invictus with the typical AO touch, in this case the sandalwood in the drydown. Which one? Take your pick.... I would say Legend. Had hopes for this release from Arabian Oud, as they have not released many aquatic scents. But this resembles the Invictus train too much for my liking. Performance is incredible though and the bottle deserves to be displayed on a shelf as a vintage yacht prototype. All seasonal scent? A safe grab for spring and summer. Unisex? Works for all genders Blind buy worthy? If you are a fan of the Invictus factory line, then for sure Performance? Excellent, Longevity, more than 12 hours and even longer on clothes, with good projection and silage.

To be honest this perfume have alot of similar perfume smells all at the same time but you can smell each one every hour, the opening is Invictus aqua then and leans more towards monblanc legend edp but with more sweetness, when it reaches skin scent it becomes vanilla woody scent tbh its a beautiful beats mode fragrance i applied on my skin yesterday 6 pm i can smell it today at 11:19 am even though i took a shower in the morning, its not synthetic.

Sick presentation, had to hold it in my hands to believe it. This yacht belongs on the display shelf next to the vintage cars. Feels extremely well crafted, irresistible not to buy. Whoever made this should get an award for best bottle design. Oh by the way the perfume is nice, mass appealing aquatic, can't go wrong with it... nothing to write home about.
