Zumorod

I sprayed this on my hand at the arabian oud store yesterday and liked it a lot but ended up buying amiri. When walking around the mall I kept smelling this amazing smell, me and my girl thought the whole mall had this incredible smell but it was all coming from my right hand! The projection range on this is insane like I've never seen before. I love the cardamom mixed with the gourmand notes, it's a a delicious fragrance. I couldn't stop smelling my hand all day. It is a bit feminine because it's a gourmand, but I'd feel comfortable wearing it and my girlfriend said it was fine for a guy to wear and doesn't smell like a woman's perfume. It dried down into this chocolate like praline scent which was very nice too. I think it's perfectly unisex, it is more masculine compared to the flanker kahraman that I tried, which is in an orange bottle and not on fragantica yet. Definitely going to pick up zumorod eventually, to me it's like a better version of aseel special. I see it being compared to Althair, and zumorod smells more gourmand overall, has more fruit and I don't pick up vanilla specifically in zumorod like I do in Althair. Zumorod has vanilla but it blends with the caramel and something to create a praline like note. However the fragrant spices are what make this perfume so amazing and stand out. Edit: I smelled althair again and it is very similar to the final dry down period of zumorod. So after 5-6 hours it will smell like althair but still perform better than it. Should also note that with these Arabian oud fragrances you have to let the new bottle mature before they contain all the notes and full performance. The Amiri I bought smelled God awful and is only now starting to smell like the tester I tried in the store. 2 months seems to be the minimum.

It's truly remarkable! On a sidenote, If you're a fan of Althair or just looking for a unique scent that's sure to turn heads, I highly recommend giving this a try. Trust me, it'd be hard to be disappointed! Its incredible longevity and ability to withstand the elements make it a must-have for any fragrance enthusiast. - on another side note: I wish the post had its full notes mentioned as in the official website, which are as follows: Top notes: Frankincense, Cardamom, Mandarin oil, Apple. Heart notes: Lavender, Caramel, Orange Blossom, Rose. Base notes: Vanilla, Ambrox Super, Guaiac wood, Musk, Norlimbanol.

Well, I have been on several Arabian Oud pages complaining about performance. This one is a different story. I blew my nose out with 6-7 sprays of this. I thought it was moderate performing until when my wife came home (4 hours after application) and said the house smelled like vanilla. When I was within 3 feet of her she said she smelled it very strong. She has a very sensitive nose, so I initially thought it was okay. Then, 5-6 hours later my nose came back and I was surrounded by a nice bubble. I had quite the trail at this point as well. My shirt still smells pretty strongly of this scent after a wash. This is damn near beast mode. Gives off a light, airy feel with the orange blossom but is very apparent to those around you. I would advise not spraying the front of your neck/ chest or only do one spray because I almost went nose blind. I am torn as I love this but I agree with my wife and @Talalabouain that this leans feminine. I'm trying to get multiple wears to fully evaluate if I can pull this off. Reminds me of a vanilla version of Myslf with a niche twist. I love it, be back to update later.

This is way too good to let go even though it's fem-leaning (for reference, I'm a man). You could layer this with different frags as a sweetener of vanilla and it would be a game changer. It would add to the scent profile and longevity as well. I wore it with Dior homme sport 2021 yesterday and it was great! One spray of this to six sprays of DHS because Zumorod is strong. It also has a freshness to it from the cardamom and olibanium that just does it for me. After a few wears more facets come out besides just vanilla and I’m confident with age this will get even better. As it dries down the sweeter aspects come out more. It does well in all but the hottest or coldest weather. Last, the notes are not at all true, which is common for Fragrantica. Arabian Oud has also changed the breakdown from when this first dropped to when they updated their website recently. I get a strong Bourbon Vanilla as I catch wafts of this complimented by Ambroxian. The Ambroxian is high quality and thats what makes it Airy but also gives it a heft. Good stuff here by Arabian Oud.

I had no intention of buying this, but the shop assistant insisted I try it, and thank god I did as this is heavenly. Smokey aromatic opening with regal frankincense and cardamom but then evolves into praline, creamy caramel and rich vanilla, as the gourmand masterpiece comes to life. Zumorod means "Emerald" in Arabic which is befitting as smoke, musk, and spice swirl like ancient secrets trapped in gemstone. The presentation, packaging and bottle are beautiful and the performance on this thing (long lasting nuclear) really makes it a prized jewel in the crown. I'm a huge Althaïr fan, and this is similar in tone, but different enough to warrant it's own shimmering limelight. Highly recommended for gourmand fragrance fans. UPDATE: I sprayed both Althaïr and Zumorod on each hand for a side by side comparison. Althaïr is more polished, smooth and creamy. Zumorod is more rich, resinous and stronger in profile. It is its' louder middle eastern cousin and as my friend said it is an "I am here" fragrance.

I picked this up from the Arabian Oud store in Dubai Mall, and after sniffing my way through half the shop, this one practically jumped into my heart. The first 15 minutes open with a gorgeous burst of cardamom and creamy milk—like sipping hot spiced cardamom milk in a cozy corner café. Then it settles beautifully into a creamy, sweet, milky vanilla with cardamom still peeking through from the background. There’s also this mysterious note that I’m pretty sure is frankincense, giving it an elegant twist. After about half an hour, it transforms into a delicious vanilla–musk cloud with hints of cardamom—like a spiced vanilla milkshake that someone turned into perfume. I’m obsessed!! Longevity is amazing—6+ hours on skin and even more on clothes. And the sillage is fantastic as well!

Extremely potent fragrance: I sprayed 5 times before going to work. Went into a soundproof bubble for a client, the smell of the fragrance filled the bubble so strongly that I had to open it after 5 minutes to breath normal air, because I was about to suffocate, I'm not exaggerating. Sprayed at 7:50am could still smell it on my hands after multiple hand washes at 7pm. Musk on the dry down is very strong but the fragrance loops bakc to vanilla and cardamom, the notes switch to each each other like a spiral. It's the strongest version of Althair's DNA I have ever tried and I tried 4.

Literally PDM Althair, but better. I get cardamom, frankincense, and vanilla, and fades down into vanilla musk. From someone who has experienced trash performance from a lot of Arabian Oud frags, this one is pretty strong. I sprayed it 2 hours before my wife came home, and from 20 feet away, as she walked in the door, she asked if I just sprayed cologne, "the whole house smells."= Mission accomplished. A slight bit less linear than Althair as well. If you want Althair just get this, its a better version for cheaper.

This fragrance utterly eclipses Althair in every conceivable way, yet the latter continues to receive undue praise despite its mediocrity. In contrast, Arabian Oud stands as a truly exceptional brand, deserving far more recognition and admiration. Initially, the fragrance’s DNA and comparisons to Althair gave me pause, but I decided to take a chance—and it turned out to be one of the finest blind buys I've ever made. I wholeheartedly encourage everyone to explore this masterpiece and, indeed, the entire house.

well its been a while since a fragrance made go wow... the opening smells like spicy cardamon and then the vanilla and cacao kicks in with a bit of orange breeze for a gourmand heaven combo like oh my god!!! this is a masterpiece... this will turn heads and will get you compliments like crazy, as its a new scent profile even for me and I've been collecting for years now, if i smelled this on someone else i would follow him/her home to ask to show me what they're wearing! its that good!!!

Haven't smelled this but i really like althair and its DNA. I had someone buy a bottle for me. However, one of my friends told me liquid brun is better than zumorod and to buy it instead of zumorod. Looking to get some opinions on this Edit: Just got mine and wow 0 regrets whatsoever. Smells amazing very potent. Very similar to althair but a bit more florals. Super delicious scent without being extremely cloying like other gourmands

Musky vanilla and cardamom?!?! Literally a dream come true in a bottle. The cardamom is VERY strong in the opening. As a cardamom lover, I had no complaints. The frankincense wasn’t as strong to my nose, it was very subtle. Such a gorgeous combination in my opinion. On the dry down, it becomes a gorgeous musky vanilla. The cardamom stays but lingers in the background, giving the vanilla and musk a lovely hint of spice.

Zumorod has to be one of my finds of 2024. The notes suggest an overload of vanilla and musk however it is so much more! I detect a strong orange blossom accord drawing comparisons to PdM Althaïr. It does however, differ enough to avoid redundancy. Projection and longevity is extremely strong (easily 12 hours) and can be smelt on clothes days later. I'm looking forward to wearing this regularly over the cooler months.

Instant love as soon as I sprayed, think althair with an airy slightly fresher vibe, I believe it has quite a bit of ambroxan which explains the performance. I made the mistake of applying 7/8 sprays, you certainly don’t go nose blind and the performance is outstanding. If you love althair or liquid brun but want better performance, this is a no brainer.

More refine, smoother and definitely louder than PDM Althaïr. Liquid Brun may takes all the hype for being cheaper alternative but it is too synthetic to me. Arabian Oud is highly prestige Middle East fragrance company so it comes with no surprise that Zumorod has that impressive niche quality.

The perfumers at Arabian Oud knew that they had stumbled onto a very good thing when they formulated Zumorod. A buttery smooth caramel, vanilla, spicy, unisex gourmand. Ahmed al Maghribi have released a good dupe of this called Brûlée. I love it and I think you will too. A love for the books.

Smells like Althair definitely but there is a bit of airiness in it too. Sillage for me is great and longevity is 12h plus. A great perfume and much better value for money when compared to Althair

I swear there is nothing that can smell better then this, and i have tried so many perfumes its not beating it, it stays for weeks on cloths BEST ONE SO FAR

Beautiful smell even though not a cardamom fan. I can smell it on my arm even after 24 hours.
