Mahd Al Dhahab

This is said to be a copy of Burntostandout Drunk Lovers. I haven’t tried that one, but do I really need to? Considering how many sweet and boozy fragrances are already out there, I’m not sure it would bring anything drastically new to the table. And also, there's THIS now. At first spray, I get a whole lot of fruity nuances—grapefruit, bergamot, and berries. The ginger fooled me during my first impression; I thought it was mint. It adds an extra layer of freshness and sparkle to the composition. When Mahd Al Dhahab settles, it transitions into a creamy mid. The aromatic elements become more pronounced, still layered with those fruity top notes—but now, it’s as if the fruits have fermented and turned boozy. I love this phase, especially because this is where the amber and vanilla start to shine. The vanilla, amber, and booze anchor the entire scent composition all the way to the dry down, where I start to pick up woody nuances from sandalwood and patchouli. It’s a very seductive scent. It reminds me of sweet, spicy fragrances, though I still can’t pin it to any particular one—it remains unique enough. There’s also a distinct tonka bean presence in the dry down, which gives it a designer-like feel. Very smooth blend. Perfect for date nights and evening events. Cold weather elevates this fragrance and makes it shine like the glorious masterpiece it otherwise couldn't attain. Glorious, glorious! Perfectly unisex. Good longevity of 7–10 hours, with solid projection.

I've had this a couple of weeks now and straight out of the box it smells really bright, fresh, sweet and spicy with a bit of booze in it and with the bergamot and citrus together it makes it pop but not in a freshie way, it's more juicy and is also very well balanced and it's an all year round day or night fragrance. I don't get the oud, and the amber is there and the vanilla and all of this seems to take it to a surprisingly fresh drydown if that's what it is as it doesn't change too much from start to finish. It doesn't smell like anything I have in my collection of 230 fragrances. I sampled Drunk Lovers at a store yesterday and this is very similar to the nose, the opening was very close however I couldn't get a drydown of that as the bottle was almost empty and I couldn't spray it on my arm other than the initial spritz in the air. That being said, regardless, this is a really bright, almost sparkly fragrance that has depth, makes you want to keep going back for more without being heavy and it is wearable anytime. I don't know how long it will last on others as I only get a few short hours on my skin but at the price of $30 that I paid, I will happily reapply regularly. It may be fairly linear as well which I am happy about as the opening and mid (or drydown) is for me, a happy place.

My bottle of Mahd Al Dhahab is around 3 months old, and honestly this one is so hard to explain because it doesn’t really smell like anything I’ve smelled before. At first, when I sprayed it on a tester strip, it slightly reminded me of Althaïr because of that vanilla in the opening. But then I sprayed it on skin and it became a completely different fragrance. Like, after around 2 minutes into the drydown, I started getting this honey like smell for some reason, and that’s when it became way more interesting to me. This is not one of those simple “vanilla sweet fragrance” type of scents. It feels complex, warm, sweet, and kind of addictive, but in a way that’s hard to put into words. I don’t even know how to describe it properly, I just know it smells amazing. It has that type of smell where you keep going back to your wrist . For now, the performance is decent but not crazy yet. Longevity and projection are around a 7.3/10 for me, but I really feel like this one has big potential if it macerates more. The smell itself is honestly a 9.8/10 for me. I’m already loving it more and more, and I feel like with time it could turn into something insane. This is definitely one of those fragrances I kind of want to gatekeep.

I tried the majority of Middle Eastern brands, but this is my first time I ever smelled anything from the house of Arabiyat Prestige. Have to admit, it’s the love at the first smell. The quality of the ingredients are niche level. None of that synthetic opening that is common with these types of fragrances, and the atomiser on this bottle is like a shower. Never smelled the BTSO Drunk Lovers, but to my nose, this smells like if the Azzaro the most wanted and DG Devotion decided to have a child. You can clearly smell the citruses here, but they are perfectly blended with vanilla, so you will never get that bitter harshness of lemon here. The scent is pleasant, smooth, warm, nothing too overwhelming. The performance for now is 4-6 hours, projection is moderate, believe it will get better with maturation, but even now it’s pretty good. If you sprayed this juice on my skin and said to me that this is some niche fragrance that costs over 200-300$ I would believe you without a doubt. It’s well made, the quality is top tier, performance is pretty good. Fellas if you want a calm, warm, not in your face scent, get this, you will not regret it. This will not be my last purchase from this house for sure. 10/10 for me

I initially had low expectations for this fragrance. When I heard it had "Altaiar" DNA, I wasn't thrilled, as I’m not a fan of that style. But wow, I was truly impressed with the blend. The quality of the juice is fantastic. The Experience: I put it on just 30 minutes before walking into a restaurant and got two compliments from complete strangers. The ones who didn’t compliment me still wanted to get a sniff! Scent Profile: The opening smells totally like sweet vanilla from Stronger With You Intensely. After about 20 minutes, is when i fell in love with this. You get that sweetnesses and bitterness from vanilla with a undertone of musky sweet oud. It’s a pretty unique combination that’s hard to explain but incredibly pleasant. Performance: The projection is decent; I don't like loud fragrances, so 3-4 sprays do the trick for me. It projects well for about 3 hours, then dries down to a skin scent that lasts for almost 8-10 hours. One thing is that this is not something you would enjoy on a really hot sunny day. Final Thoughts I really enjoyed the experience of wearing this. Trust me, I own over 400 fragrances, and this has to be among my top 10 for sure.

Mahd Al Dahab opens with a strong red berry smell which lasts for about 30 minutes, and then it immediately dries down to a musky vanilla sandalwood scent. I couldn't smell any patchouli or oud at all. All in all it's a very nice fragrance with a designerish quality that makes it quite mass-appealing. However, there is a problem: The absolutely atrocious performance. I really don't know if it's in the nature of the original to be this airy and fleeting because after the opening has finished, the projection disappears leaving only a skin scent. My batch is 06/25 so it could be that it hasn't had enough "alone time". I'll be updating this review if there is any improvement a month later. EDIT: After maceration this has really grown on me and as a result has become one of my most reached for fragrances, it's an absolute 10/10. I've also come to the conclusion that the projection and longevity is more than enough. Not every fragrance has to be nuclear level, and it's almost like the beauty of this one comes through because of precisely that. It keeps you wanting to smell more and doesn't overwhelm the nostrils.

The absolute best version of a sweet designer fragrance. First spray you get red berries and boozy vanilla and it's immediately intoxicating. Berries fade through the dry down and it becomes a soft, intimate woody vanilla with hints of musk. Notes on here are unusual because the smell matched much closer to what it's inspired by, drunk lovers by born to stand out. To compare it to something more people may know the balance of sweet and fruity in the opening drying into soft woody vanilla reminds me a lot of Valentino Born in Roma Coral Fantasy. Not identical but if you like that you'll love this. When I say designer I mean it in a very complimentary way, very appealing, easy to wear and quite light for such a sweet fragrance. Performance great, longevity good, 10/10 from me, probably my favourite in my collection

Bought blindly after the Marwa perfume, which blew me away with its quality. I don't know why, but I got the impression that Arabyat Prestige is not some frivolous perfume house and that I won't go wrong with Mahd Al Dhahab. It was chosen based on the fragrance notes, although it was quite risky because we know that art creates those sparks that are created from somewhere right there. DELIGHTED, to be honest, just opening it confused me, I don't feel anything, but after a few minutes a new dimension, a scent that follows you all day long, I haven't had a similar experience in a long time, FINALLY PERFUME, and that's what I think everyone who enjoys fragrances is looking for every day. A perfume that has soul and body. Thanks to whoever chose the notes.

Very, very well blended. Smooth, soft, balanced. Amazing scent, but leans a bit too feminine for me. Projection and longevity aren't amazing, but adequate. I find it hard to conceive how anyone would dislike or regret getting their hands on this one. I don't even wear it since it's (for my personal taste/style) feminine, yet whenever I smell it I enjoy it and I never once regretted buying it. And to the guy that said this smells in any way like 9pm, your nose is broken. I own 9pm, don't regret getting it, but they're not even in the same league. To keep it short and simple I'll describe the difference with something we all understand, money. I wouldn't pay more than 25 for 9pm and if someone said this fragrance is 150 I'd believe them.

First review written on 9/25/25 Came back to write a second review after experiencing the OG, Drunk Lovers and I just want to reiterate how good Mahd al Dhahab is. Comparing to Drunk Lovers, Mahd Al Dhahab is like 90% match to original. There's only 3 slight differences. 1. The opening on Mahd is brighter/fresher and this lasts about 30 minutes 2. The dry down is smoother, slightly sweeter and feels more well blended than Drunk Lovers 3. It projects and lasts longer than Drunk Lovers. The OG is like a skin scent after 2 hours. I love the DNA and really enjoy the OG, but Mahd al Dhahab performs better and costs waaaay less so this is an easy buy over the OG which costs 200+ for a 50ml. Crazy how slept on this is!

Have a decant of Drunk Lovers and compared this and that on separate tester strips. They are almost identical. Sweet, citrusy fresh, a touch fruity at the start before getting more boozy, woody and vanilla in the later stage. And again, they both smell just about exactly the same.. The OG Drunk Lovers is just much more intense with all the notes than Mahd Al Dhahab. It's like if Drunk Lovers was a permanent marker, it's a new, freshly uncapped marker with the most intense color, then Mahd Al Dhahab is the same exact marker after a good amount of usage, the color is no longer as intense and has started to fade a bit. Both are great scents and cant go wrong saving some money with getting this over the OG. 9/10

This masterpiece is simply DIVINE. Perfect mix of everything you can ever want in a perfume, the opening has a nice citrusy brightness, grounded by soft spice and patchouli (there is no oud here whatsoever, atleast to my nose) all of which is backed by smooth sweetness of vanilla and musk.Can be used any time of the year and has a perfect upclass yet playful vibe to it. Performance is quite decent as well, even without maturing it lasts for a decent 7-8 hours on my skin and projects well for the first 2 hours or so, I am hoping it will get better eventually. Overall REAL FREAKING GOOD, do sure try it and I am almost certain you will end up buying it, one of my best ever purchases and not just in perfumes.

Mahd aldahab remind me of the iconic perfume I loved that is not getting sold anywhere now “Laya by n’emaah” and for fraction of the price , laya is around $250 and they stopped and I think the whole company closed I’d you rarely find it on eBay they put such a high price it was an amazing perfume I was trying to find a dupe bug no luck I asked everywhere but nothing and my bottle is done but I was able to compare them 1 to 1 and they are exactly the same with this been little more sweeter on dry down... the notes listed doesn’t identicaly listed them the same but it does and it performs strong like Laya perfume does and glad I got this it’s the same 100% finally sound a dupe for my signature scent

I genuinely love this fragrance. To me, it feels like an upgraded version of Liquid Brun — at least scent-wise. Think of Liquid Brun, but more gourmand, like freshly baked cookies, and much smoother. The blend is excellent, and it honestly smells like a niche-quality mass-appealer. But the performance... It’s just not good. Actually, it’s kinda bad. And that’s what kills it for me. As much as I enjoy the scent, the performance is bad enough that I wouldn’t buy a full bottle. Arabiyat Prestige at it again: Great blend... no performance. Rating: 9/10 (scent) Performance: 5/10 Final verdict: Amazing smell, but not worth it unless you’re okay with weak performance.

I don't think the notes are accurate here, there's no oud for sure. If you don't know how drunk lovers smell, majd Al Dhabab smells like much smoother and softer Azzaro most wanted maybe with touch of SWY. Well that's where you can put it, but it is much smoother than both, I much prefer it tham most wanted. very cozy aura scent. Highly recommended. I agree it had pretty weak performance at the beginning, but after few months it works really well. Only 3 sprays and I could feel it is still softly projecting after 5 hours. This is not beast mode scent, doesn't harm your nose, so you can still feel it on yourself after hours

Another sleeper from Arabiyat Prestige. Mahd Al Dhahab sits in its own lane. Light citrus up top, then a powdery, boozy warmth that feels more niche than its price suggests. Smooth, clean, and quietly complex. Closest vibe match is Khadlaj Titan, but Mahd isn’t a copy. It’s fresher, less sweet, and carries a subtle resinous edge without going heavy. Completely different from Khamrah or Liquid Brun; no dessert tones here. Performance is steady with a close, refined aura. Not a projector, not a crowd-pleaser clone. More of a polished, special-occasion scent. Distinct, well-blended, and underrated. 8.75/10.

Cypriotsister put me on to this! It's an extremely smooth, gorgeous, woody citrus musk that sprays out the most gentle heavenly smile of comforting and uplifting Summer vibes. Very good unisex scent. Super smooth, zero cleaning product type citrus so don't start saying that people! I haven't tried BTSO Drunk Lovers - I hate that name and wouldn't have tried it on that alone but this is not a boozy scent thankfully. Do try this - super unisex and crowd pleasing I am sure. Bottle is a little eccentric but it feels nice in the hand and great quality all round. My best blind buy. mood : positive vibes

Wow this is a good one! The opening is fruity and sweet but not overpowering. As it settles you get a mix of the opening notes plus amber, musk and some light vanilla. After about 30 minutes, you get to the sandalwood, oud and that freshness/fruity opening is still lingering. Absolutely phenomenal fragrance. Projects well for the first 3 hours and lasts on skin for a good 8 to 10 hours. You could wear this year round but If you live in high heat or humid areas, I wouldn't recommend this at summertime. This is a very unique and complex scent, I blind bought it and really enjoy it!

This thing smells good! Never smelt the drunk lover, but this thing by its own is very good. Super unisex fragrance, no leaning masculine or feminine. You can wear it all year round, it gives you a very sexy, fresh, and tiny booziness at the same time. I don't know why people vote for liquid brun? This has vanilla, but they are totally different scent profile. I love this more than Liquid Brun. This is totally blind buy safe, but it's strong and loud, I would not over spray this.

Smells amazing. Perfect for pretty much any weather. Projects like crazy. I put it on before 6am this morning and it's still somewhere between protecting and a skin scent at 10pm as I'm getting ready for bed. This was an 88° degree rainy day, though I spent most of it in an office building. All of this is before maturation. I've only had the bottle for about a week. I also got Marwa when I got this. I get why Marwa is getting hyped, it's great, but this is better imo.
