Nashwa

I got an package with this scent and Marwa, two days ago. Before that I owned one other Arabiyat Prestige fragrance called Ishtar Citrus Oud, that's an inspiration of Cedrat Boise from Mancera. All those are fantastic! I like this brand but I find the heads/plugs/stoppers, (what you call it?) tacky and unnessacary. Don't fit in my closets so I take them off. But this Nashwa is a bit different than Turathi Blue. It's lighter or sweeter. Turathi is stronger but darker, in a way. I think this scent could be good for those that find Turathi to dark or heavy.There's something else than grapefruit that's dominating, on top. It's a good twist, I think. I thought it was weak because I could not smell it but then I moved a bit and it came with a force, 4-5 hours later.

Nashwa is a twist on the Tygar DNA. The citrus, especially grapefruit, comes across more realistic than many other Tygar alternatives I've tried (and I've tried so many). It also has that sweet-citrus smell—I think it's the physalis (ground cherry) accord that's doing that. The drydown follows the tradition of Tygar, but this one has more earthiness from the vetiver and patchouli notes. Performance is good: 7+ hours on my skin, easily. I didn't love this one initially when I got it, but I now enjoy how different the citrus is built compared to other Tygar twists or dupes. Sometimes, the citrusy and woodiness can give the illusion of nishane hacivat, but this is still different. It's just a beautiful twist on Bvlgari Tygar.

I don't like to leave negative reviews, but this one has got to be my least favorite blind purchases of the year! I own 4 fragrances from Arabiyat, and this one has a very SYNTHETIC and punchy opening note, quite nauseating. The drydown isn't much better either. I have smelled Tygar at Niemann Marcus and this Nashwa does not smell as well blended. The bottle design and packaging also look and feel quite cheap with so much bling yet a plastic feel. The scent profile overall is VERY feminine. I will NOT recommend this one for a blind buy. I love all my other three Arabiyat fragrances (Ashaa Oud Noir=amazing rendition of Green Irish Tweed!, Nayel Oud and Nayel Queen).

Don't buy this expecting Tygar/ Vibrato clone. DNA is probably my favorite for warm weather and this misses the mark by a long shot to me. No juicy sweet grapefruit and to my nose the vetiver and patchouli stick out with a slight tinge of citrus. Have a few more of this DNA profile on the way, but so far for me in terms of smell and performance...Vibrato 1 and Tarathi Blue 2.
