Oud Al Layl

I am a powerhouse fragrance freak. The stronger the better. I actually decide whether a fragrance is strong enough before I decide if I like the smell. I love the art of perfumery and I do own many beautiful fragrances that have moderate performance but I am invariably drawn to the more potent examples in my collection. It’s just what my subconscious wants. Now then: Oud Al Layl..........OM f-ing G!!! This fragrance is BEYOND beastly! Without doubt the strongest in my wardrobe and I have some monsters! 24 hours on skin, weeks and beyond on clothing. Impossible to get off skin immediately after application. The scent: Not a typical synthetic oud fragrance. The woodiness in here is more of a generic mix of dry woods. It is rose prominent. A thick, jammy, concentrated and bitter rose. It is floral but dry, like potpourri. It is dusty, waxy, mossy and full of incense. Also a strange kind of muted, and slightly burned mix of spices. It has an element of sweetness but it doesn’t seem like a single sweet additive, more a creation of sweetness from a multitude of mysterious and secretive facets. It is a bit synthetic but there is a quality in the blending that defies the price point. Absolutely NOT for everyone. I can imagine it garnering some negative responses, if you care about such trivia. I do not. I have had some amazing reactions from people around me while wearing this, including at least three of them buying it for themselves. I have used almost a whole bottle in less than a year, and I rotate heavily. Back ups? Sure, several. As far as cheap Arabic perfumes go, I will go so far as to say this is a masterpiece! Nah, tell you what. I call it a masterpiece in its own right. Just be aware - be warned - BE CAREFUL! This stuff has absolutely insane performance. Put too much of this on and cataclysmic events occur. Birds will fall out of the sky - Day will turn to night - Passers-by will rub their eyes! NOT - THE - SLIGHTEST - EXAGGERATION People talk about a single spray or even half a spray and that will do just fine. Unless you’re me: Six or eight for me every time. I think........ I tend to lose track of reality after about the fourth spray and it becomes like some kind of peyote or LSD experience. Man. Take care and all the best - ZoopyGoggins

What a lucky blind purchase this turned out to be! One of the best all time. I've seen this on sale many times, in the streets and in the souks in Morocco, i gave it a swerve every time. I made a bad assumption that it was a womans perfume based on the packaging and bottle, plus the fact its always really cheap so i presumed it must be bad quality so...... i never tried it. I was really missing out because of my false assumptions. Never presume anything! My mistake. I wanted a rose scent but a dark deep one, not a floral feminine type and i nailed it with buying this 100%! Its my find of the year so far...its a gem, especially for the price. No joke. Deep woody darkly captivating mystic desert rose, with musky deep hint of classy amber, leather and saffron....GORGEOUS top to bottom from opening to finale, smooth and silky. WOW. I would call it more masculine than feminine, but unisex definitely works, especially on arab skin, sweet scents usually don't last on me but this one stuck around all day, projection fair/medium .....its not linear or sickly feminine sweet, its more a spicy rosewater sweet that changes a few mood touches as the hours go by, I was always happy to go along for the smooth ride of around 8 hours. Usually cheaper scents don't last long like that and they start out really chemical infested and synthetic sweet. This was neither. I left it 3 weeks and its perfect already to wear and its strong. I would call this awesome value for a richly deep rosy oud musk thats cheap enough to buy 3 more bottles backup. It feels refined and luxurious, amazingly so especially for the budget price tag. After a few online buying fails trying to find a decent rose scent for summer I am now looking no further. I'm sold with this golden nugget of a blind buy gamble. A truly unexpected pleasure. Instant love. Absolutely one for the mu'minoon 8/10 bordering 9/10 for me

Rose soap with an amber musk undercurrent and a smidge of oud, all laid bare on a woody base. Smells the same from first stay until the dry down (8 hours later on my skin), it smells very vintage to me, as if all these ingredients was placed in a wooden treasure chest centuries ago and found and opened up in 2025. I've just bought this fragrance and only used it twice thus far, so I can't speak of compliments or projection as i never yet get a compliment on this scent ( though I suspect this perhaps due to the scent not exactly being much of a crowd pleasing scent, but rather a scent that is a tad more dusky, musty and out of the box). At points Oud al Layl reminds a bit of Chanel No 5 (an eastern version of it) and a bit of Red Door (that vintage rosiness), but with its own unique spin. I'll wear this for myself as this scent is more of a nostalgic vintage pleaser to my nose, and I don't care if others like it off me, I want to smell classic at times with a nod to my eastern culture (Indian) so this fits right in my scent puzzle. 8.5/10 due to it not being so much of a beast on me as I heard people say on this site. It starts of heady but within 5 minutes it's down to a mid tempo that dwindles down by four hours and is a skin scent till it's finality at hour 8.

Finally Fragrantica put this on the database, this is certainly not the cliche mass pleasing fragrance but its not supposed to be so therefore it will be fairly polarising with reviews on here. Its a cheapie but for the price you certainly get a very good deal here with its beast like performance minus any scent development as its basically a linear scent. I find I can only wear this casually for pleasure, its certainly not an office scent and I enjoy the scent in the the dry down during the day, can be worn winter, Autumn and Spring day or night. The scent certainly full on in the opening but settles down to a nice pleasant woody ambery rose that just make me feel good and relaxed on a cold days indoors, very much like aroma therapy and in no way does it smell synthetic in the dry down. Its has been noted by You Tube reviewer AC, Smells Good that this is a clone of Arabian Woods, a discontinued Tom Ford private blend fragrance, I cannot say I have smelt that but from what I can smell here I am pretty happy. For £13 its a ridiculously good bargain even with its lack of versatility.

This is a rose fragrance, on friggin steroids! It will literally knock you out! On MY skin, this is predominantly a very soapy rose Fragrance, With some florals and a touch of oud. (After a year, it's Definitely turned more powdery and into a very bubble gummy rose) It has very little, sweetness. (The sweetness has deepened over the last year too) personally in my opinion, this does not smell like so many middle eastern Fragrances I've smelled before. It's not heavy on the oud, spices, funk, or sweetness. It's predominantly a soapy, powdery, woody, rose dominant fragrance. Two sprays will definitely fill a room! This thing projects like an absolute BEAST!!! Three/four sprays in and I actually made myself cough. This Fragrance is listed as unisex but I have to disagree on that. This absolutely leans waaaay more feminine. The rose is very,very,very heavy. You will absolutely have to love rose Fragrances to even like this! I can't stress that enough. Ps, I sprayed this on clothes, and it stuck on there for daysssss. It was there until I washed my clothing.

Why did I get it? I personally love the rose note, and I love anything that is rose + masculine. Tried this in a local store yesterday and really liked it, decided to get it today for Rs 1000. Scent profile: this opens with a nice fresh rose, think of it as a rose candle smell, in about 20 minutes this settles into a more dark rose + woody scent (which makes it masculine) in about 2 hours this turns into a masculine rose + oud + woody scent, which I think girls will like a lot, even if they don't, i personally love it. Performance and Projection: It's projecting really good straight out of the box right now. It's been 3 hours since I sprayed it, can't say anything about performance as I just got this today. will update in about a month. Overall: Get this if you like the rose note done in a masculine way. You can also get this if you're new to oud, because the oud in this one is very subtle and likable. I'd rate this a solid 8/10 as of now.

first day to have it but this is nuclear ISTG . i sprayed only half a spray on a tissue at 2 pm and my mom told me the whole house smells like roses and oud after 5 hours .now after 16 hours my room smells like that up till now .all the notes i got are 80% heavy roses 20% oud but if i am looking at the notes and squeezing my nose and brain i get a hint of amber and like 2% saffron but no musk at all .maybe the maceration will help the other notes but for me IT IS UNIESEX BUT HAS A FEMNINE LEANING .for me i am gonna try to layer it with lattafa hala this one is so dark and has 0% sweetness and lots of sandalwood and incense. i got mine for only 10 bucks .definitely worth it

I brought a sample of this even though it’s cheap but I have enough blind buys that I regret,to my surprise I loved it so much, not like anything I own, it’s classy kind of smell and definitely not a safe blind buy, it’s heavy longevity is insane performance is a bomb only 3 sprays was enough for 2 of my neighbors downstairs to text me and ask me what I’m wearing, it leaves a beautiful trace , it’s floral and I guess oud but all I smell at the drydown is beautiful floral scent and I’m not a floral perfumes lover but I loved this one, buy a sample from Etsy and if you like it get full bottle, I’m buying full bottle now , it’s good for winter , fall and special occasion only

Easily a great value fragrance. When I bought it I got it for $20 CAD before shipping or taxes but it was easily the best blind buy I've ever had. It seems the prices online have gone up quite a bit but it is still a solid fragrance. It is sweet but intense. It's a unisex perfume so if you don't end up liking it, a partner or friend will likely appreciate it as a gift. It is quite strong and for me lasted around 6-8 hours and up to 10 hours on skin. I see some people saying it's "nuclear" but I wouldn't say its THAT strong, just strong enough and stronger than most. If you're just getting into oud and niche fragrances this would be a great first buy for this price.

Love it! Very strong. Go easy on applying this but with woody saffron opening that is linear as it keeps its woodiness and moves more into musky woodsy areas. Checking out at the pharmacy and a woman 2 people behind commented, "someone smells good ...". Fast forward to late evening and the waitress at dinner leaned over and whispered, " Nice fragrance wish my boyfriend had your taste". I love it because I don't have to re-apply during a long day. Is it unisex? One of the women in our regular friends group wears it with her leather and jeans look and comes off stunning. Definitely for people with confidence. Should rename it oud ooh la la!

This was love at first sight for me! Actually, I was standing waiting for a bus when the most beautiful, scent trailed along in the breeze. I decided I had to be bold, and ask what it was, the gentleman was more than happy to oblige. I’m in love. I wear this all the time. It’s so elegant and a little goes a long way. There’s a fruity top note that reminds me of a Maryaj perfume I owned 15 years ago, but otherwise this is just a fantastic fragrance in a league of its own. I love that it’s accessible yet decadent and I feel like I’m walking on a cloud everytime I catch a whiff of it. I never tire of it.

Very rich and deep oud scent. This was a signature scent for me 2-3 years back, and I got a lot of compliments wearing it. When I first sprayed it on I had a girl reacting like, “OH MY GOD!” And she kept sniffing me. So do with that information as you will. I wore it so often I ended up getting sick of it, so I wear it quite rarely now but my bottle has been used quite a bit, this is probably one of the fragrances I would repurchase. - Great for layering - Linear and potent scent profile - Very unisex - Unique among university students

Im surprised how much I like this. Its a very Rose forward scent that is incredibly smooth, and incredibly strong. It almost has a bit of a banana-ish vibe in the air. The bottle looks nice, you would never guess it was cheap unless someone told you - it even has oud floating in it! Overall a good buy, especially given the very low price.

A friend gave me this perfume for my birthday. I expected it to be another cheap perfume that doesn't have any longevity or beautiful scent, but I was shocked by its beautiful scent. I put a little bit of it on. My mom told me what a beautiful scent it is?, and so did some of my other friends. I love wearing this on cold winter nights.

This is my second favourite perfume after red tobacco. Great rose and sandalwood scent. I use this to layer with red tobacco if I'm going to an event or a conference. Can't believe it's sooo cheap, i have niches that cost 10x 50x of this and can't even perform half as good as this. I detest such weak pathetic perfumes.

This is really awesome. Got it for 8$ and together with deo set. Non offensive, super potent scent that lasts for 2-3 days. Gf took the bottle from me and uses her daily and loves it so much. Performance is awesome, price is dirt cheap, fragrance is good 8/10, she wears it in 30-40C summers and it feels just fine

Soapy rose with hints of musc and very slight synthetic out. Smells cheap up close, but amazing in the air and on dry down. Very nice deal and value for money. Just need 2-3 sprays max. Shukran Habibi!

Scent: First and foremost, this scent is not for the people that like mass appealing fragrances. This fragrance is not for such people at all. Secondly, this is potent! But I'll get to performance later on. So this fragrance opens up with florals, florals, and more florals! This is a straight up floral scent, to the point where it may remind people of grandma's perfume lol. However that stops later on as the fragrance evolves and then it becomes more of a scent that is reminiscent of laundry detergent or fabric softener, which I love. That "soapyness" is probably coming from the musk mixed with the floral notes. And I don't know if those thick floral notes are coming from the rose or the Saffron, because I do get the rose in the fragrance and it does smell "jammy", BUT the rose note is somewhat faint. You also get a bit of Oud in the air, but just hints and minor traces of it. However, when you smell your skin you definitely smell the Oud note, which smells funky and dirty. At first I did not like the scent, because it's smelled a lot like Old Lady perfume, but after wearing it, I'm appreciating it much more and it's good! Give it a try, it's good for the price. Performance: Now, the performance on this fragrance is phenomenal! This stuff is very, very potent. For the first hour, this will fill up a small room, big time. So this is not office friendly or tight space friendly at all. After that it becomes Arms 's Length to Above Arms Length. So the projection is very good on this one. 4-5 sprays is plenty. Sillage is also great and pretty dense during the first hour. The Longevity is also good, at least on me. I got about 7hrs before it turned into a skin scent, and even after it became a skin scent I was still able to smell it with no problem on my wrists for another few hours, so 10hrs in total. Seasons: This is a Late Fall, Winter, and cooler days of Spring type of fragrance. Age Demographic: This is definitely for the mature/older crowd. This is 30s and above kind of fragrance haha, but then again, wear what you like. If you're young and want to explore new fragrance profiles, then give this a try.

Idk where the hate is coming from, but this fragrance is pretty good. It opens with a heavy rose mix with vanilla (THATS WHAT I GOT), and then dries down to this woody, musk, with a slight hint of amber. It smells amazing kinda like walking through a field of roses then having some vanilla cake on the side. The only thing I would say is that it is more feminine than I thought lmao, it's something that I didn't expect as the rose is very heavy on this fragrance. It is blind buy safe but please smell it before pulling the trigger (No matter the fragrance). The redeming quality tho is the duration and projection. IT IS AMAZING HOW LONG THIS FRAGRANCE LAST; I mean 9-12 hours and the projection; lasts 7-8 hours and is very strong. Overall I think it is a good fragrance just a lil too feminine for me (NOTHING WRONG W THAT BTW), if you like a floral, woody, inviting scent then this is for you. rating: 7.5/10

This fragrance is EXTRATERRESTRIAL in projection, sillage & longevity. One spritz is more than enough. This is 10 times more potent than Shaghaf Oud & Al Haramain amber oud gold. Both these fragrances were the strongest I know before I got my nose on oud Al layl. One spray & both you & your entire house is smelling fruity, florally & soapy. These notes persist from the top to the mid. The base has soft woods to my nose. This is predominantly a linear scent. On the initial sniff its like furniture polish for the first minute. Then the fruits & florals take over. 100ml will last forever. I bought a second bottle which I shouldn't have. In a strange way its kind of ozonic to my nose but there's no ambergris or ambroxan. The scent profile is extremely pleasing. I love beastmode but this passes that category. The projection radius is about the orbit of Pluto. NO MORE THAN ONE SPRAY (be warned)

Scent: The smell is simple, no special complexity at all. that's it. 5/10 from me. It doesn't have that "wow" factor where people ask "what perfume is this?" Projection: But the projection is insanely strong, headache-inducing 10/10. One spray and it hangs in the room for 3 hours. Even my neighbor says "what happened in your house?" Longevity: Lasts 8-10 hours, but the first 2 hours are nuclear. Verdict: Got a headache from it wallah 🤕 One spray is enough, don't get greedy. If you do 2 sprays, people will run away from you and say "bro this isn't perfume, this is a chemical attack" 😂

Absolutely beautiful rose scent that I love the more I use. The scent has this really jammy sweet rose feel to it but not in the light fun sense but more deep and dense. It also reminds me a bit of strawberry jam but if it also had the bitterness of orange zest without the citrus. I also enjoy layering it with Emir's warm leather, the freshness you get from warm leather plus the deep dark sweetness that comes from this work so well together. The performance is incredible and you don't need to overspray at all (4 sprays max), dirt cheap and worth it.

I have it for couple of months now and I let it sit for a reason. The first I smelled it , it was too strongly sweet oud and its still the same but I liked it after 6-7 hrs. On me. It just grows on me by time. I can smell oudy rose , settling into powder rose but something is very mild at the background going on which I love the most. It's definitely cold/winters or night fragrance as its dense. I can give it 7.5/10

I was wrong about this perfume, it's actually really amazing. Only issue I have with it is its very strong, projects further than I would like and it is very long lasting . I found its wearable and more enjoyable with half sprays, rather than full sprays. The drydown is so amazing as well

I was afraid to spray this on skin because so many reviews cite this perfume as "beast mode" and "nuclear." I did apply it on skin and overall, Prestige Oud Al Layal is a nice enough fragrance. Not as strong as I feared. But you must love oud, saffron and rose to enjoy this perfume.

Mine's very sweet, feminine, gorgeous. I was scared to order it from the reviews, I expected a punch in the face type scent but it's very pretty, strong yes but not pungent, very lovely. Don't be scared to try this if you love super sweet lolly rose 🌹

To my nose this smells like musk sweets from start to finish this musk is very prominent throughout and I don’t enjoy it for that reason. In the top notes it’s kind of nice but 10 minutes later it’s just that musk but not one that is smooth, it’s loud and harsh. The is no oud in this not even the slightest hint of it, which is a let down based on its name. As much as I don’t like this one I do need to be in the mood to wear it and that’s when I want to be noticed but not approached.

It's so strong and super long lasting, one spray and the whole house will notice, it's so nuclear strong that if you spray 1 full spray you'll feel dizzy, it smells sweet but it's also disgustingly strong, some might think that's a good thing but trust me it's not and i promise I'm not exaggerating, but i guess the low price makes up for it

It's a nice smell but my only problem is that i don't smell any oud in it. It's purely feminine... Sweet and floral.... Reminds me of taif rose, but nothing there to offset it. I regret opening the box, it would have been a great gift FOR A GIRL.

A room-filler. To my nose, it’s straight-up rose and musk blended with wood, it’s also quite metallic. Super long-lasting. It’s just ok on its own, but layered with Giardino Benessere’s Themis or Bois 1920’s Sacro e Profano—chef’s kiss! 7/10

This is Roseeeeeee, woods, and oud. Veryyyy strong, 3 sprays are enough for the whole night. test it before getting it.

This is actually my second bottle of this juice. Why, you ponder? Because about 2 months ago, I over-sprayed (3 sprays!) and was completely choked out for the next 4 hours...until I showered. Frustrated, I rashly put the bottle up for sale and it quickly sold. Fast forward to a week ago, an acquaintance from a shave forum was telling me he almost broke his "No-Buy -21" when he saw my ad. We talked and the more we did, the more I regretted selling. Re-purchased ($20 less than the first time), the bottle arrived yesterday. Presentation is mixed. The Box is plain and uninteresting, but the bottle, itself, is quite unique and attractive. Two pieces of, what I believe to be Agarwood, float at the bottle of the gold-etched bottle. (Nice touch, Arabiyat). The cap is wooden and fits snugly. Now to the juice. This is a clone, or better said, an "homage" to Tom Ford's Arabian Wood. Disclaimer: I have never smelled the OG. The initial blast is probably the most powerful of anything I have ever encountered. No joke. It's fruity and flowery all at once. It also bears no resemblance to any true "Oud" fragrance in my collection. (Malle The Night, Oud Assam, to name two) So while the notes above claim "Agarwood" as a base note, do NOT expect a stanky, cheesy, barnyardy accord, whatsoever. Expect a strong rose and floral opening with a base of Oakmoss. Projection is off the charts and sillage will clear a room. Longevity is a week (on clothing) and falls squarely in the NO OFFICE category. Sprayed with EXTREME discretion, this is a special juice, which embodies the term Chypre. Orris and Magnolia can also be detected. This juice is not for everyone, but it's inexpensive (I paid $35), but it can be had for less across the pond and all points east.

Blind bought this one after some positive online reviews. Sprayed a test on my hand and it was not what I was hoping for. To me, it's very sweet and very floral. For the money, the projection and longevity is insane. I opted to wear it for the first time yesterday. I'm usually a generous sprayer, but erring on the side of caution, I did three sprays and even that may have been too much. It didn't take long before I deciding this fragrance wasn't for me. I actually scrubbed off what I could and changed my shirt just to be rid of the scent. That said, I don't find it offensive, I just know this is not a fragrance that makes me feel good wearing it.

I owned this on two different occasions. The problem with this juice is that it is simply "over-powering". It's impossible to "lightly" spray. Saying it's "nuclear" is the understatement of the year. I know of no other perfume stronger, except perhaps Frederic Malle's The Moon, but The Moon is full of quality ingredients, whereas Oud al Layl is a chemical mess. Had to sell it---both times, LOL. This juice is definitely not recommended. P.S. All comparisons to Tom Ford Arabian Wood are not even in the ballpark.

Very long lasting but too feminine for me, gifted to my gf who loves it. Rose bomb, sweet heavy syrup, dry florals, it remains like this for hours becoming slightly powdered for the remainder of its life, of a good 12hrs with 4 sprays. Just moderate projection, I don't know why but it reminds me of Dynasty the TV series from the 80s, feel this would be how Krystal Karrington smells!

WHY DID I BUY THIS? I admit, I got duped by the hype. This is a $10 fragrance that smells like $5. Weak floral, musk and distant wood notes. UPDATE: Ok, I may have received a counterfeit. So many people love this fragrance, my bottle must be a fake.

very overdone rose, very harsh. smells like a dihydromyrcenal bomb.

I fell for the hype and I’ve learned my lesson. This cheap synthetic smell is horrible. I regret buying it. I’ve tried to use it as a bathroom freshener but it’s just too awful, and it won’t go away. Either I’ve got a batch that was quickly produced and is missing the notes every one is talking about. Perhaps it’s just actually awful? There’s no point buying a beast mode if it smells so cheap and linear.

Don't trust the positive comments , It's a perfume that costs 10$ and smells like 5$ perfume, worst scent profile, smells literally like bathroom cleaner. -10/10.

My first ever Lattafa fragrance (Najdia) came with a deodorant that was of another scent: Lattafa Lail Maleki. Oud Al Layl by Arabiyat is exactly the same scent. I describe the scent profile as very bright, floral-fruity, sweet, rose heavy, feminine leaning and linear. It smells the same way Skittles candies taste. The notebreakdown of Lail Maleki is more accurate to describe the scent profile in my opinion. It doesn't immediately remind me of elder women when i smell it but i can see what others are saying, as i wouldn't see it innappropriate on a senior lady. It doesn't smell bad, but it feels like a lower quality fragrance and i hate making such descriptions. The fragrance lacks subtleness, it feels "blunt" and in your face. As much as i appreciate clear cut scents, in this case the synthetic and brash nature of the fragrances makes it bothering/cloying when smelled upclose. I picture this as the middle eastern equivalent of a supermarket fragrance, but this fact alone isn't necessarily a negative. Not everyone affords to spend money on luxury products such as fragrances and these products are infinetly better then smelling of bad hygiene. On the plus side, performance is very strong with this one, this DEFINETLY doesn't perform like an Adidas or Str8. It projects too, not just a scent trail and bubble. I put a spray from the sample on my chest and it feels like i've done a regular application routine.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but if you own Jawad al Layl, you don't need this. If you collect middle Eastern fragrances, you'd be familiar with the idea of same fragrance, different bottles; maybe a little bit of this in one and a little bit of that in the other. You don't need both. Same scent profile, both great performers. Unless you really want to experience the Oud al Layl and see what the rave is all about then by all means, do so. Great fragrance though. On my skin, I don't get the monstrosity everyone is talking about. I blindbought this based on reviews for an outdoor event and I was going for the whole 'smell me before you see me' vibe. I did enjoy the scent but my bottle just didn't do it for me. A 7/10 for me.

I own this, and all I have to say is that this is the most potent fragrance in my entire collection. Extremely brutal. One spray and you will smell this for an entire week in your place. Think of a very strong Middle Eastern fragrance x 10. Very rose heavy. If I had a riad I would spray this every day around my center piece fountain. Use it in morning and the entire metro car will empty at the next stop or if you drive, your wife will jump out of the automobile at the first red light. I also think it is very royal, whenever I smell it I think of a magnificent house in Essaouria, Morocco where I once stayed.

You could provoke headaches if this bomb gets oversprayed, so pay attention. Three max four sprays and you go with this (chemical synthetic) rose fragrance, but when it settles, the dry-down softens it and the woody-oud notes come out and you have to love it. Not bad, a very good value-for-money perfume, recommended if you want something a bit different. Not suitable in summer-late spring.
