Impeccable

The fragrance that kicked off one of the longest and most dominant trends in male perfumery(70's and 80s woody chypre powerhouse fragrances), that is, the legendary house of the 1966 Aramis has come full circle 44 years later to offer us the absolute perfection of the genre and the epitome of class and masculinity. Has the spice of the original with the darker harsher notes masterfully refined and updated for the modern man, all infused with what I consider to be a stroke of genius, exquisite and luxurious soap! It may sound like an odd idea to some but trust me when I say this is perfection in a bottle. Imagine dousing yourself with copious amounts of the original 1966 Aramis then jumping in the shower and lathering up some high quality creamy hotel soap(not the cheap stuff, what you might find at the four seasons). Don't wash off the fragrance completely and allow it to interplay with the smell of the soap and rinse. Jump out of the shower dry yourself put your wrist up to your nose and THAT'S what this smells like. Mind you it smells much stronger than that and has pretty decent longevity and projection. Smells soapy clean, spicy, warm, refined and classy. Makes a wonderful suit and tie fragrance or for a professional environment. Had the good fortune to pick up a few new bottles a few years back after finding out it was discontinued. At $40/110ml for a total of around 400ml of this woderful juice currently in my collection and would you believe it, I fear it might not be enough. I have 100+ fragrances in my collection, enough to ensure that average usage means each bottle lasts more than 10 years yet I feel that I may need to pick up another bottle of Impeccable to eliminate any chance I will ever run out of it and will always be able to wear it to my heart's content. Currently going for about $200 on ebay which means I might have to pick one up ASAP.

I paid £40 for my first bottle and got through it in about a year, I just loved it so much. It was an instant signiture sense for me and the compliments were often coming! My second bottle I managed to pick up for about £45 on ebay as and unwanted gift. I think the lady sold it because she and her Ex went separatel way, but I couldn't believe my good fortune because the price then was over £100! I still have it and I am much more conservative and sparing because of the price today due to being discontinued. I wear it for those special and important occasions! I would like to add my review but I cannot excel on the comment by Sent1nel who summed it beautifully, however, will try. Just to further add I picked up my 3rd 110ml bottle for £80 and a 4th for £105. I'm a really a big fan of Aramis but impeccable is very special. Impeccable is what it claims to be and it's a beautiful smelling fragrance. Day or night and smart casual dress as soon as someone get a wiff of it it turns heads! If you can fall in love with a fragrance then for me this is it. It has sophistication written all over it and the blend has been very well thought out. Longevity is excellent on me and 12 hours isn't out of reach with a splash on your cloths it can go even longer. Projection is very good too around 8 to 10ft. 10 out of 10 is truly fitting for this unique fragrance and it's well deserving perfection. You are not going to find anything like this again. I also believe they wanted to creste a masterpiece of the original and gentleman line before shutting up shop, which I believe they have done so now! I can't thank the house of Aramis enough for the many years of joy I've had from their wonderful list of products they had offered us! used Impeccable today. Scent is very good initially. This lasts for 45 minutes. Immediate impact made me to think colonge is fresh spicy. After an hour it settled down, and started to feel the woody part of the scent. This was the best period of fragrance. Not too sharp but really attractive. In the end after 6 hours it is close to skin but smell is still wonderful. I like the subtle woody effect in this very much and it seems this is Moroccan cedar wood. Sillage is above average but not overwhelming. longevity is approx. 6 hours. Scent is interesting and very good. I do not like to call fragrances as masterpieces too often. This one is not a one, but a really chic and elegant product for men above 30. Finally, though people will think Impeccable is suitable for formal use, i do not see anything wrong in using this product for men who like smart casual type.

On first blast it is somewhat a poke in the nose like it's older Classic Aramis brother, but only because of the similarities in the spicy bite. But, it is not is brother, yet, you can say it is from the same elegant classy suit and tie family. It has all the sophistication of Aramis Classic, but maintains it's individuality and is a bit more soft spoken. This definitely a fragrance that exudes elegant manliness, but I would not dare try to classify it as an "over 30" age group scent. After all, how can you put an age on fragrances? Either you love them or you don't... they fit your personality or they don't. Some would say that Classic Aramis would fit into this older man age group... but I promise you, when I was 18 years old, I got the hottest, rubber necking, make out session of my life while wearing Aramis. "MMMM you smell gooooood!"

A good scent, Wore this today to a job interview, that's the kind of fragrance this is, when you want to smell like you're at your best. It's understated for an Aramis Fragrance, stays close to the skin but does seem to stick around (this is a scent where people have complimented me even when I thought it disappeared) It's a balance between warm, spicy and citrus like freshness, It's cool and suave. The packaging is class in my opinion, the gold and black minimal styled bottle looks great. Of particular note, "Impeccable" has probably gathered the most compliments with me from the fairer sex (from my experience the only one only comparable in the amounts of compliments is Terre d' Hermes)
