Leaves Falling Like Rain

This is the notes list from Arcana Wildcraft's website: "a comforting base of brown sugar, caramel, gingersnaps, and cappuccino is sparked off with hints of vintage patchouli, hyssop, mullein, and white pepper" So, that should be white pepper listed in the notes, not black pepper. And I'm guessing mullein (which has a coumarin / tonka bean-like scent) is what's being labelled as "horseweed." That being said... out of the vial is very sweet gingerbread. That gave me some trepidation at the start (gingerbread in other perfumes has often been cloying for me). But on the skin it is cut with something cool and refreshing, opposite the gourmand gingerbread without clashing. I tried to recall the notes that made me decide to try this despite past gingerbread experiences, and why I thought this wouldn’t be too sweet, until finally I remembered: hyssop! Fragrantica describes hyssop as “camphorous,” but I don’t necessarily agree – I would put it in the same scent family as fennel and artemisia / wormwood, especially the latter as hyssop is used quite a bit in making absinthe (which I enjoy immensely). The hyssop absolutely makes this blend, though, and I love that it comes out on my skin so much. Eventually the gingerbread cedes ground to the cappuccino (and it really is cappuccino, rather than straight coffee). The white pepper and patchouli come out much later, and I would say this lasts over eight hours. I’m also grateful that the brown sugar note (which hasn’t worked on me from other houses) is MIA on my skin, unless it’s part of the cappuccino accord.

Very intense caramel/ incense candle smell. Nice scent but too strong for my taste, even dabbed onto a qtip and put on. Perhaps I’ll try putting a small drop inside of body lotion to dilute it. Great customer service however and very long lasting.
