I Am The King

Im not sure what all the negative reviews are about other than just hate. Or maybe its because its a suavage clone. This is an amazing fragrance for less than 20 bucks. If you love dior sauvage, any version, and you want a cheaper alternative . This is it. Im not a fan of the name, as its too long and too close to Sean Jean I am king, but the fragrance itself is amazing. It lasts 12 plus hours. It punches waaaay above its weight when it comes to almost everything in comparison to sauvage. Its a fraction of the cost. It lasts longer than current bottles of suavage ive experimented with. It is made with quality ingredients and does not smell cheap. The dry down is a little darker and peppery. Almost like it has argwood/oud in it . I personally like darker fragrances that are smoky or contain incense. Though I am the king doest contain oud or incense the dry down gives a similar vibe, at least as it sits close to the skin. Im not sure about in the air as ive never smelled it while someone else wore it. Regardless of my opinion or anyone else's, fragrances are subjective, and divisive. Its all about personal perception and preference. Bottom line, if you are looking for a suavage clone for a fraction of the cost, this is a great alternative. As with many middle Eastern fragrances, maturation is almost always a requirement. Open your fragrance, spray it 10 or 12 times, leave the cap off and forget about it for a few months. When you come back to it, it will be ready to go. I know many think maturation is a myth but its absolutely not. Fragrances need time for their ingredients to mix and bind with each other. Its a process very similar to aging alcohol.

I Am The King Ard Al Zaafaran (overspray on right arm/hand/shirt) Sauvage EDP Dior (overspray on left arm/hand) I've recently got my hands on very well received and highly rated I Am The King Ard Al Zaafaran and open it to test today. It opens exactly like Sauvage EDT, spicier and more pepperish compared to a more citrusy Sauvage EDP opening. However the Sauvage Dna and comparison, it's literally a 1 to 1 no less than 95% closeness to the Edt on my nose. On very matured and experienced noses with Sauvage, the og of both Edt and Edp probably is smoother but not by a whole lot, because seriously to be honest I can't tell much apart from I am King. This is even closer than the highly rated Afnan's Modest Pour Homme Une or the well rated Armaf Ventana. With my Sauvage Edt sitting at home, I'm smelling a difference with I am King and Sauvage Edp as the opening goes away, I am King definitely sits closer to the Edt. I went to have a look at the notes breakdown and was surprised it's almost a 1 to 1 similar notes for both Edt and I am King. The projection is there, Silage is there just like the Edp but I reckon Sauvage Edt definitely projects better as an Edt. Longevity should be at least 6hrs and more since I oversprayed. I've yet to reach the drydown for I am King so I'll need to update this review later. For the cost of sgd$22/usd$16 this is a no brainer for someone looking for a Sauvage 1 to 1 alternative. You just can't beat the price. The only drawback is the cheaply designed bottle and cap, sprayer is decent thou. Another cheap and quality alternative by AAZ.

I Am the King is a noteworthy find, offering great value at less than €15 (at least what I paid). The opening is a blend of bergamot and black pepper. What keeps it interesting is its consistency. It starts fresh and aromatic, with a balsamic backdrop and a light touch of spices, then gradually transitions into warmer notes. It has a noticeable presence for around 6–8 hours, with persistent sillage. The citrus notes remain prominent from start to finish, lingering on the skin even after washing and on clothing for days. This makes it a solid choice for summer, offering a refreshing yet surprisingly deep scent. Despite the similarities it may share with other 'Sauvages', I personally see it as something that stands well on its own and don't pay much attention to what it might be cloning. For me, it also offers a better experience than Armaf Ventana, which I tested. The tacky bottle adds a touch of cheap nostalgia and actually looks better in person than it does in photos, which somehow adds to its cheapie charm. King lives up to its name, with a refreshing citrus presence. Its aromatic, warm undertone, combined with impressive longevity for a fresh fragrance, makes it one of my summer picks. I'd happily recommend it to anyone looking for great value at an affordable price. This is not a clone of the EDT. It is way less peppery/spicy, and more fresh and sweet. Or at least the pepper is toned down. It's also not nearly as beastly as the Savauge EDT DNA. This has decent longevity with mild projection for the first 5 hours or so, and then it becomes a skin scent. I can smell it pretty well for a few hours. I don't know which Savauge this is cloning but I know it's not the EDT, or Elixir. I'd guess EDP. It isn't king, but it has the king's DNA. It is the bastard son of the king, or maybe it's Absalom trying to steal the throne. It is very good, and I think this DNA is the king of blue fragrances. This one in particular is more well rounded than most. I still prefer the Savauge EDT and Elixir DNA though.

I bought this for 12 USD (14 without discount, converted from PHP), and I must say it gives more than its price range. This bottle feels like daytime robbery by the value I get from this. Insane longevity, great projection, and that performance comes right out of the box pretty much. Fresh bergamot and lavender scent makes you smell like you just stepped out of the shower seconds ago, and the dry down smells appropriate for dusk. 11/10, and you can layer it with Asad or Enigma Une for the ultimate beast mode scent. You can do an entire exercise montage wearing this and it won't fade

My bottle was made in 2021, and now it smells very similar to Dior Sauvage EDT and Vetana... I can confidently say it's better than Vetana because it has a spicy note like the old Sauvage EDT used to have. After about 3 hours, it transitions to something similar to Dylan Blue, and it has good longevity, lasting about 6 hours. I'm really impressed because it only costs $12, so buying it without trying it first is very safe. The bottle is beautiful and heavy, but the cap is very loose. I might buy an extra bottle as a backup because Sauvage is so expensive.

This is the greatest Sauvage EDT clone depending on how much I love it might buy 3 bottles just to have a year's supply. Not only is the scent a 10/10 the longevity is easily 10 hours for me off 6 sprays I can smell it forever everyone around me can't tell compliment getter fucking amazing. My second 10/10 after Bvlgari Tygar. Edit: I accidentally wrote EDP that can be misleading this a near 1:1 clone of the EDT around 90% to my nose. EDP is less complex and has a vanilla base note I am the King is an extremely complex version of Sauvage EDT.

Sauvage on a budget! A few years back I was looking for a Sauvage type fragrance because the price tag is really high and I chose this one.. I was also considering Ventana by Armaf but didnt like that bottle design.. The bottle design on this beast is actually pretty cool.. I find this scent as an every day wear. Any season/time/occasion.. I find it more like the Sauvage EDT rather than the EDP to my nose.. This one comes off a bit sweeter as well.. For what it is it works.. A love for sure 8.2/10

Came back months later to review. Perfume was okay when out of the box , but it kept getting better and better every time I wore it! At the start it was pretty good, especially for the price, but after a few months it was amazing. I'd say its a bit more aromatic now as expected but still got some spice in it. Gets a lot of compliments. Stop reading the negative reviews for a second, its 10-15$ and it has a lot of people absolutely loving it, just go ahead and buy it.

I don't know why people are saying this is door sauvage. It's definitely not....it's pretty bleu Dr Chanel like. It's nice, it's better than other clones of it I've tried. It's pretty refined, and while it smelled weak to me at the beginning, people definitely smelled it on me, and I got whiffs literally all day. The bottle is also nice, heavy & chunky feeling. The cap isn't great, but who really cares about the bottle anyway.

As people been saying for a lot of time, it is sauvage edt clone. İt does not smell anything like dylan blue, sorry. ..................................................................................... If you want to smell like dior for a small budget (10 euros), this is the parfume. Longevity is 6+ hours and the projection is strong for 2 hours or even more.

Sauvage EDT and Dylan Blue vibes from this fragrance. So it works in any situation/season but not at all unique. I get no less than 6 hours of longevity so it's considered a good performer for such a low price. I actually recommend this over Sauvage as I see no point paying that much money for a very common scent profile. Save the big bucks for unique scents.

After I applied it for the first time, my teenage son immediately without seeing the bottle asked if I sprayed Sauvage. More accurate clone than CDN Urban Man Elixir in my opinion (that is good also but has Aventus mixed in). Very good longevity, projection and sillage. Bag one if you can at just over £10. Amazing price.

This comes closer to Sauvage EDT than the EDP in the opening. It’s sharper and more citrusy. Dry down leans towards a diluted EDP. Performance wise it loses out slightly to Sauvage but at this affordable price, I can overspray everyday.

A good perfume for this price , I paid 18 euros for it and it has good performance and when I am in closed spaces I can smell it. A great perfume if you don't want to spend a lot of money on a bottle of perfume.

Great Sauvage clone. I had Ventana and Ajmal Kuro but this Is more rounded and not screeachy at all. Beautifull woodsy drydown. Lasts about 7 hours with hour and a half of projection.

just got a bottle and yes this obviously Sauvage EDP clone, but i notice this is more "fresh" than the OG. anyway, as a sauvage dna enjoyer i love this perfume so much.

To anyone worrying about the performance, don't. I sprayed lightly on my t shirt, and the next day it's not just that I could smell it, IT WAS STILL PROJECTING.

Perfect for this price, powerful longevity and 2or 3 hour projection. Try layer 2 spray i am the king and 1 lattafa Asad

If you re on a budget and like Dior Sauvage, just blind buy this. Very similar scent and superb longevity

Sorta reminds me of Dylan blue or Dior. Smells great and gets good compliments.

I compare it with Dior Sauvage EDP, because I have just that. The DNA is close, typical Sauvage. But this is calmer and a little bit warmer. Not scratchy as the Sauvage EDP. You might have to spray a little bit more to have a Sauvage strength. (Sauvage EDP 3 sprays enough, so you have to double it with this. Not synthetic, not cloying. Well-rounded fragrance.

A mixture of Dior Sauvage and Dylan Blue with a dry down that resembles Azzaro Pour Homme. I wouldn't say this is an Amber fragrance at all, I applied it 30 minutes ago and it was 90% Sauvage when first applied, yet now the dry down is far closer to Azzaro Pour Homme. Great fragrance and especially great value regardless.

If I am not mistaken, this is cheapest Sauvage clone with decent performance in the market. It feels well blended and smooth for the price. Versatile and masculine. 1-2 hours of average projection, longevity is around 6-8 hours. Really good for casual wearing. Dumb-reach fragrance.

imagine sauvage as a 3d fragrance that has dimension to it. This is like that but in 2d, its definitely trying to be sauvage but its just missing an element that makes sauvage so beautiful to smell. This just feels like a surface level interpretation of it.

Straight up Dior Sauvage EDP, but much, much cheaper. In time it grasps some sharpness but it is better in my opinion than actual Sauvage. So if you like Sauvage, buy this instead, it's too good for this price.

Nice cheapie. To me it smells more similar to Sauvage EDT than EDP. It's a bit sharper, and more citrusy to my nose. Performance is great.

Similar to Sauvage, but the performance is very low, you need to spray in every 30 minutes to feel something...

This smells great but just doesn't last at all. Pretty cheap though so you can respray if needed.

It's meh. The sauvage vibe is there it does smell like sauvage in a way, but inside this perfume there is an ambery metallic note that overpowers the beautiful clean linear lavander note that the sauvage DNA has, and it is quite annoying, pungent, the next thing you want to do when you get home is to take a shower because you can't get off the metallic smell out of your skin, in the drydown you're smelling like old pennies. Would not buy again, 3/10, disappointing.

I can't smell anything other than sunscreen. I had this on one arm and Sauvage on the other during my bachelor party and the Sauvage smelled a little less offensive after 2 or 3 hours. So it's just my skin, but worth knowing for people who like it! If I had to wear it it would be a hot summer day for sure

Pretty much just a sauvage clone, quite the disappointment. Why clone one of the most ubiquitous and commercial perfumes?

I’ll have to wait for this remarkable ‘maceration’ because it smells nothing like any version of Sauvage at the minute! Peppery, middle-eastern type fragrance with low projection.

I thought I loved it, but I got myself a better clone of the edt and this isn't close to smelling great. It smell too "arabian" and at thee dry down, i got called out by my frriends that my perfume smells like a Saliva on a Pillow. I thought the same. Never gonna wear this again.

Very poor durability. Less than 2 hours. I use it to get it done faster. I do not intend to repeat from this.

It's true, a solid Sauvage EDT clone that I was not particularly impressed with, initially...so I did not bother to use it after the initial opening and first day. 3 months later I revisited and oh my god, now I get it, "maceration" is very real and has had an incredible, dramatic & pronounced effect on this fragrance. It's actually kind of shocking. This has gone from "typical middle eastern synthetic clone" to wow!, a refined fragrance with character that regular people cannot distinguish from the OG in drydown. With a new bottle, you are essentially getting a "fresh" or "unfinished" perfume. The maceration process hasn't fully happened yet. I simply have never experienced this dramatic of a maturation in a bottle - it's making me reconsider a lot of bottles in my collection. This is easily the best Sauvage EDT cheapie out there.

This is actually GREAT!! If you are familiar with the older batches of the OG Sauvage EDT then you will love this. It has the OG Sichuan peppery kick that today’s batches of Sauvage EDT truly lack. Recent batches are a shadow of what the OG was. I Am The King smells 95% like the older Sauvage EDT, lasts 6/7 hours, and has good quality. At $17 to $20 per bottle it’s a no brainer to give it a try.

Smells to me very close to my Sauvage EDP. The main difference is I Am The King is slightly sharper. I've never tried the EDT of Sauvage so maybe that little extra sharpness brings it closer to that than the EDP. Performance is exceptional on me and a can be detected on my skin quite strongly at least twelve hours after applying. I could imagine people getting anosmic to it.

This is a very good clone of armaf elixir man . I would say this is about 80% the same. It's not as strong in the opening as armaf but it's got longevity so you know it's still with you for lots of hours . And at £13 a bottle it really is a no brainier. Great in hi heat which is a big +
