Shams Al Emarat

One sniff of this and I was literally transported to my youthful twenties. Why??? Because it is literally a carbon copy of the OG Pink Sugar!!! This fragrance was just as equally gratifying as the nostalgia. Not the watered down mess that's still floating around. But the real deal! An excellent price for the amount of juice. Best $19 bucks I've spent on a fragrance. The memories are a bonus, too! Get your nose on it

It smells exactly like Soft from Al-Rehab. Lemon and caramel (+a little licorice at the end). I received several compliments thanks to it, some colleagues saying that it smells like "lemon cake" or "confectionery". However, I recommend it to be worn in the winter because it is quite strong and can cause headaches in the summer.

my favorite rose scent coming from someone who doesn't like rose (or apple). The rose note is definitely noticeable but it isn't fresh like other floral accords, this is actually very gourmand. i get a caramel note too. And it's beast mode imo

I've got it today, I love it, it's a creamy version of soft. I've put it into the diffuser at work and 3 of my colleagues said that they love it (2 women and 1 man).

Bought this because I heard it smelled like lemon pound cake. After resting the perfume for a week, I can definitely get that scent profile strongly.

Mind you there are two versions of Shams Al Emarat (Sun of Emirates). The regular version in the black, cube bottle and a Khususi (Special) version in the dark red cube. The regular version is the one that comes more readily in pocket size card-like sprayers, and rollers. They have almost the same composition, except that the Khususi version has a smidgen of oud, added to the base notes. I have the regular version in a pocket size sample, and the Khususi in full size as well as body spray. I wish it was the other way around. The regular SAE leans a tad more feminine. The top notes have a missing orange or tangerine note here, because it is definitely there that’s why many people think it smells similar to Soft by Alrehab. However, the resemblance ends with the top notes. It opens with sweet citruses and then moves to a very warm sweet heart. The spices are definitely in the anise/fennel family. They have licorice undertones, very intriguing, as well as a warm creamy and sweet rose. It has average performance which is a bit disappointing for an oriental Middle Eastern perfume however, I still find it very beautiful. SAE Khususi is very similar, however, there is a bit of smokiness to from the tiny dose of oud present. This one is more unisex , but I always find that the oud renders a perfume less versatile to use. It needs a very special occasion, (black and white tie event in the dead of winter), and as I live in a very hot country almost year-round I seldom wear oud. Overall they’re both very nice, slightly westernized orientals.

seconding what @sandradiana said before me, this is a creamier, smoother version of soft. soft is more citrus-dominant than shams al Emarat; even though the notes above say apple and rose all I get is lemon cupcakes (orange maybe? I'm gonna go with "nondescript citrus blend") and vanilla frosting. it's really pretty, but not groundbreaking; good dumb reach fragrance for cooler weather (might be too much/cloying in the heat). shams al Emarat lasts a good while on me, and it's loud enough to be noticed but soft enough to not be annoying throughout the day. the bottle is a little unwieldy (literally just a glass cube with a sprayer in the middle. makes holding and spraying really awkward), but I think the juice inside makes up for it. for the price I honestly can't complain.

It’s pleaant, long lasting. It isn’t WOW but nice. I only smell STRONG vanilla, spices and sugar. No rose, no musk, no woody. Just A LOT of VANILLA, spices upon opening (which cools down quickly) and sugar. The rest of those notes ... WHERE.? This is is pure vanilla n sugar. I REALLY wanted and was hoping all the other notes would come through. Except the green, I’m not fond of green scents on me. Green comes across to masculine on me. I’m slightly disappointed with this fragrance but I would wear it. 🤷🏻♀️

Nice scent but has week longevity and sillage🥲 unfortunately, almost one hour then disappears.

Just got this perfume yesterday, it smells nice, it opens very citrusy although there are no citrus notes listed. I have not smelled pink sugar but I do own delicious cotton candy by Gale Hayman which is said to be very close to pink sugar and they do smell very similar. In the dry down smells sweet and a little bit woody not much, I don't pick up the rose, which is good for me because I don't like rose perfumes.

Wore this for my graduation for my associates. Got told I smelled good, I personally don't really like this scent. It doesn't smell bad, it smells great actually. There's just something really unremarkable about it that I don't really like. I enjoy more sweet scents so the middle and base notes are probably what's throwing me off.

Closer to Soft Al-rehab than Pink Sugar, as it's much more smoother and creamier. I do prefer prefer Sot Al-rehab as it's more gourmand and the citrusy part create a true beautiful scent !

Soft and sweet. Needs to be layered with something with more body. I don't wear this alone.

I agree this smells similar to Soft by Al-Rehab - slightly more lemony/citrusy in the opening, but slightly more powdery in the dry down. The 'pastry' note that is also present in Soft, also takes a bit more of a backseat here - but otherwise, this is a very similar scent, just in slightly different proportions.
