Atlantic Ambergris

I wore some of this to yoga this morning. I usually put something on as a little sniff in moments of pain and exhaustion tend to perk me up somewhat, and that's exactly what Atlantic Ambergris I did for me this morning... The right balance of oceanic-marine ambergris and non-noxious spice. The clove and nutmeg is totally present, but it has been managed to within an inch of its life, and pairs painfully well with the green and floral elements. I got a bottle of Atlantic Ambergris II on the weekend, and to commemorate the moment I used what little I had left of the first iteration. I've been nursing a small vial of about 0.2 mls for the last 24 - 30 months, only using what sweet, precious little I have for special moments, and I am so excited to receive my bottle. Hopefully it's similar enough for me to NOT be able to tell the difference (Russian Adam said it's about 98% the same), and that is more-than-good-enough for me... Great times...

I've gotten my nose on most of the great Areej fragrances. More than 20. My opinion on the top 3 Areej fragrances has changed. I would now put Atlantic Ambergris in my top 3 or 5. Baikal Gris, Agar de Noir, These 3 are perhaps my top 3. I would say they are creative masterpieces; complex, unique, and very enjoyable. - Most importantly. Antiquity s in my top 5 favorites, with Siberian Musk. Antiquity is not as original as my first 3. As it is Russian Adam's take on Mitsouko or classic French chypre. But his use of oud and antique oils of moss and patchouli make it one of the very greatest of Areej le Dore. Well with Atlantic Ambergris, pine, myrrh, and violet are favorite notes. The ambergris is the best white ambergris I believe. Very unique and enjoyable here, with all the great supporting notes. Rating: 10/10 God bless. John 3:16

Get ready for the best journey of your fragrance experience... This will awaken your senses, expand your imagination, infuse confidence, you will be in Nirvana through the life of this fragrance...did I say fragrance... I meant to say Gold!!! If creed made this, it'll be one of their best creations. Smells like the purest form of ambergris...real ambergris. Imagine the smell of the sunshine reflecting on the ocean side on a cool summer evening. Just fresh, green and light floral blended to perfection. So real guys... I'm in love. Pure Magic.

My biggest fragrance buying regret was not getting a full bottle of this when I had a chance. Thankfully I have a small sample from Luckyscent that I will treasure and horde for a special occasion. It's hard for me to describe how amazing this juice is, ambregris with woody notes and amazing performance. Russian Adam is a mastermind when it comes to high level niche perfumery. Seems as though this will forever be my White Whale fragrance.

Just received this and 1st time wearing. I love it, as I've loved all the fragrances from this Areeg Le Dore. Quality is unsurpassed, including the box it comes in. I get a little sweetness with this, which surprised me but works out interestingly with pine and cloves. Top-notch natural ingredients. Highly recommended!

Sprayed too many this evening as my wife noted. I have to remember this and all from Areej Le Dore are sillage bombs! I love them though and will enjoy the over-sprays when alone. :)

An interesting chypre style natural perfume with high quality ingredients. The perfume opens with notes of bergamot, pine and cardamom. The heart contains the ambergris with spices (nutmeg, cloves, tonka) and florals (ylang-ylang, jasmine and champaca). The base is a mossy powdery oakmoss, orris root, myrrh, labdanum, cypriol and hint of violet. Unfortunately for me, amber is a note that cannot be mixed with too many notes to truly shine and unfortunately that is the case here. The ambergris is completely overwhelmed by the citrus and spices. A really good example of a perfume where the ambergris truly shines is SHL's O'Hira, where it is mixed with just a bit of fossilized amber, labdanum and oud. This one is not bad but there is too much going on and the ambergris is completely underwhelmed. Moderate sillage, projection and longevity and unisex.Safe pass for me, but others may enjoy.

To me, this smells very similar to a premium Mukhallat from Ajmal called Amber Ameeri, which is only available as decantable oil at their showrooms in India (maybe also in the middle East). Very very close in the opening! I guess because of the amber/ambergris. I also get prominent and long lasting clove in both. Atlantic ambergris is a tad milder and a bit slatier, but not fresh like Creed's ambergris notes. It is still thick and opulent. None of the 4 recent releases are apt for the summer heat (unless you go just half a spray). All for special occasions, formal Wear only! If not the scent, the price commands it. 7/10

Atlantic Ambergris for me is at all not about anything of water, or sea, or ocean, or whales. This one is very much warm, spicy, dry/dusty, chocolate like fragrance. Its is really well blended, i cant really call out notes on this one, but it is not fresh scent, its warm spicy one. makes me wonder about all the comments that are about the ocean. if you missed this release - definitely go for the Baikal Gris, since that one is almost identical to this one. i would say Baikal is just slightly more sheer that Atlantic Ambergris, but neither is a beast.

Not as weird or as old school as some say, but not as good as Baikal Gris.

Aromatic sea requiem of a sperm whale. Spicy, scent of a sea rover lording over the waves! Opens with extravagantly natural notes, and settles into a captain of the sea kind of aroma. Hard to describe, but one of the most kinetic perfume experiences I've had. Best ambergris ever! The longer I wore it, the more I fell in love. Its' drydown is spicy clean sea winds. The ambergris is very strong on me and has an effect like standing in a gale on the beach and having the breath sucked out of my mouth. It creates a vacuum to rush into so that at times it's the only note I smelled. Carries the spirit of the deep sea denizen that produced it, with a smell like the call of humpbacks - haunting and soulful. Atlantic Ambergris has jumped to being one of my all time favorites - in my top 5 - a perfume I've been seeking for years. I live at the beach, and this one has the spirit of open waves, tinted with the spices and cargo of triple masted ghost ships that braved it's fury. I'm sailing with them, FB on its way. P.S. I should probably mention that all the notes are masterfully chosen to highlight and enhance this specific ambergris. Pieces of real ambergris do not smell the same. Cloves and myrrh are noticable, with other ingredients making a complimentary bed to feature the Irish ambergris, a gift from a leviathan in celtic waters.

This is really interesting. My first impression was a sort of herbal, medecinal berry scent - like a cough syrup. Vaguely similar to Slumberhouse Zahd. After reading the comment before mine I can definitely see how someone would get bubble gum, too. Update: This is a beautiful scent and tough for my nose to nail down. The "mysterious and attractive" descriptors in the marketing copy definitely apply. It loses some of the medecinal notes and becomes smooth and creamy while still maintaining a transparent aspect to it that is difficult to describe. Oddly, it also brings to mind a specific type of semi-transparent red cranberry bar soap I remember from Christmas time. The scent abd blending has some similarities (even the cloves), and the red and transparent look of the soap fits perfectly to represent this scent as a color. Going by name alone, I would have expected something aquatic or marine, but it couldn't really be more far removed fromt he name. The cloves and warmth lend this more toward cold weather use, maybe fall and winter to me.

Bubblegum spice! I keep on sniffing that weird bubblegum note mingled with cloves, myrrh, and nutmeg for a while. Later, a new sweet ambergris, champaca, tonka, balsamic, tingly lime, oakmoss, and cypriol oil rise up and softens the scene. I kind of smell something fizzy in here as well, something like pepsi note. It's quite interesting as i thought from it's name that it's going to be salty aquatic, and overly fresh blend, but it turned to be quite interesting.

Syrupy clove overload giving off a heavy cola stench, adequately drenched in salty ambergris with the cypriol underpinning it all with it's earthy textures. Not for me, and not for light coloured clothing either. An acquired taste, and some. Sought after and mythical status. I own a few ml and it never gets used.

Where is Atlantic Ambergris II? Fragrantica lately is not at the level of other webs like Parfumo, there are many perfumes that don't appear like this one and most of the Pineward collection, to give an example. They should wake up a bit

I have a sample of this and I do enjoy smelling it; however, it does remind me of cola (coca cola or Pepsi). I don’t get anything oceanic from it, whether it be on my skin or from the vial.

I sadly missed this release. Sample was delightful! A spicy scent of the sea. If anyone have one for sale please pm me!
