Cuir de Russie Part II, Attar. As for the Attar, it is more to my taste. There is no powderiness that I can detect as it opens up immediately with the smokiness of the birch tar and then makes way for the polished leather accord. Second, the florals and the sweetness are dialed down and remain in the background. Even better for me, the sweetness is the least noticeable, while the florals sometimes poke their head through the leather wall but stay backstage for the most part. I like this version much better and prefer it over the perfume. While the extrait felt like a 50-50 leather and floral affair, I’d say that the attar is more like 70-30 in favor of the leather, with the sweetness significantly toned down. If you like the idea of less florals and sweetness, maybe go with the attar. I feel in this situation, there is no saying that one is better than the other; it comes down to personal preference, as they almost behave as two different scents. IG:@memory.of.scents

A leathery, smoky-animalic wrapped in exotic floral elements. The beaver tail oil & birch tar with a touch lotus really highlights themselves from the get-go as the opening smells like a well-polished brand-new leather bag/boot before the beautiful floral kicks in. Then the base later settles on the bed of leather, smoky incense ( the smokiness is very quiet), floral, and animalic musk. Also, I really like how musk holds its position in the base. It isn't loud or trying to outshine other elements. What a masterpiece ✨️ ✨️✨️💯
