Indolis is really stunning and evocative, it's as you find yourself immersed in a bed of tiny Jasmine flowers that surround you with their White scent and...bla bla bla.. SPRAY HARD!!! you cant even imagine what you miss if you don't- Jasmine? Yes but the dirty face..Jasmine turns into a carnivorous flower....it eaats your olfactory sense, it gives its dirty look and seduce you with indolic hormons... Incense? Yes, right holds up the flowers, it lets you "see" those flowers through the airy smoke it produces, a clean smoke, like air that can be perceived as cristal clear, though it is not, as it misleads you and does it on purpose Pineapple, Ginger powder, lime and tangerine play in the background, cant pin them down, of course, but it's like you feel a fruity mix, like having them cracked open in baskets...guess where? behind the Jasmine tree... there's also a bitterness that bring this perfume more on the masculine side, it might be the lavender that plays with the other base notes listed above... 12 hours after applications is an Indolic monster :-) .-) Glad I managed to get my hands on this masterpiece

Imagine yourself drowning in an ocean of the most exquisite hand picked Indian Jasmine flowers. This is that amazingly perfect jasmine fragrance that probably every one of us dreamt of but always had to make do with synthetic substitutes. Take a look above at the love that went into creating this fragrance and you will understand. The Indonesian jasmine enfleurage mixed in with hints of neroli, olibanum, green tea, sandalwood, lime, ginger, chamomile, and oakmoss creates a divinely exotic Floriental chypre, something so unique and breathtakingly beautiful that has never been ever attempted before in modern perfumery. The moment it lands on my skin, I go into a sensuous swoony trance. This without doubt is the most erotic fragrance in my collection, a totally natural almost animalic Indian jasmine that takes me off on an unending magic carpet ride. Moderate in sillage, projection and longevity and slightly feminine leaning but can be worn by bold sensuous men. In one word, a masterpiece!

I was able to get a 2 ml sample from eBay. Lilly of the valley and gardenia are my favorite florals. Jasmine is close to those. This is a first impression, I don't know how it develops. I have tried and looked for the best white floral frags that are gender neutral. In the open I smell maybe the best jasmine note, and it dominates. I can see that it's something I would love to wear in Spring and Summer. And it is well rounded with supporting notes. But it's not soo special... With this being an Areej discontinued classic going for over $500 for 30 ml if it comes up. I would not purchase it. My favorite jasmine and Lilly of the valley with a touch of lavender as this; is "Love and Tears " by Kilian. The quality is almost as good and composition as well. Rating: 8.75/10 God bless. Tangerine, jasmines, & oakmoss. This is very European and precisely vintage yet contemporary blend using an old technique of blending. The jasmines are quite Victorian, blended in with tangerine, and oakmoss leaving it poisonous and harsh under galbanum, olibanum, and vetiver. Pineapple is there but not shows quite clear and giving a kind of bittersweet hints. The jasmines overcome the gardenia so well that i couldn't figure the essence of gardenia until i realized the white floral effect. This is like a poisonous dart, an evil in disguise, & the forbidden pleasure of an irresistible persona. I couldn't imagined this without imagining the lady with the multi faces in Michael Jackson's "Who Is It" music video. Ultimately impressive.

It’s rare that I’m rendered nearly speechless by a fragrance, but I feel that anything I could possibly state in regard to how Indolis smells would be an insult to its creator, creation and existence. I’ve never inhaled anything like it; this isn’t a fragrance, it’s a little dew-dappled world. Indolis makes me believe in God, gods and goddesses and may be what hope smells like: It makes me want to keep going, to live that much longer so that I can have more minutes with it. Indolis is the cacophony of birdsong in the small, periwinkle moments of dawn, it’s petal, stalk, stem and vine. It’s the twirl of the girl you’d once lost behind weary eyes and a weather-worn heart...is that a twinkle or a spark?

Amazing. Best white flowers. It is equal to the quality of Puredistance Opardo but they deal with the white flowers in totally different way. Opardo use fragment and impressions of flowers to create luxary feeling. Indolis push the natural feeling beyond the limitation. Green leaf + white flower ---sweet and natural white flower --- woody feel and sweet natual white flower like nectar. Perfect !

I like it a lot but my wife did not, not sure exactly why but it isn't one I will wear for her. I think the potency combined with some ingredient in it she didn't care for. I probably over-sprayed. : ) But I do love it, so unique, and will continue to wear it.

A dark floral fragrance. It gives me feelings of the jungle and poisonous flowers. A very unique fragrance that will not please everyone- I found it a little overwhelming at first. Now I love it. Good performance too.

If you're still kicking yourself for missing out on the glory that is Ottoman Empire, this is a fair substitute (similar, but not the same.)

Indolis from Areej le Dore is a most peculiar white floral perfume in which Jasmine rules supreme. I did not expect something like this from Russian Adam. It hardly smells like anything from the house, in style and aesthetic. Reading reviews, I expected a big, verdant jasmine perfume, loud and proud and maybe too monolithic for it to stand out for me. Smelling it from the nozzle, you'd also be inclined to think that. However, once you put it on the skin, everything you had expected it to be crumbles at your feet. Had I smelled it blind, I would have never guessed this to be an ALD perfume. Calling it a green-floral perfume is an understatement. Its complexity reaches far beyond that. It's not just the way it was built, but the materials used that play a pivotal role in its outcome. It feels like a work that took many years to finally come together as it has, searching for the right materials to add and the perfect balance to reach. A titanic quest. The opening is far from what you'd expect. To me, it almost feels like a fougere, with a jasmine backdrop. The first stage is the busiest, liveliest, like some big Asian cities at rush hour where everyone runs (more like rides) for their lives. A piercing bitter green galbanum note cleverly offset by a sweet and aromatic lavender note and tart green tea balanced by juicy and natural-smelling pineapple and tangerine. At this point, the jasmine waves at you somewhere in the background, gently winking whenever it catches your gaze. I love the opening of Indolis. It's so full of joy, unique, and cleverly put together. In the heart, this buzz from the opening starts to cool down, allowing the jasmine to reveal its full splendor. The jasmine here smells unlike any other. It is not big and assertive, indolic, or headache-inducing. It is delicate, milky-sweet, with a narcotic yet faint aroma. I assume the way it was extracted played a significant role. It's so delicate that if you gasp, you might miss it. In the dry down, there's no musk, ambergris, or agarwood, as you'd probably expect. Instead, a creamy, plush, soothing sandalwood that complements the jasmine and marries it seamlessly. Gentle olibanum smoke might be perceived at times, yet it is so soft that it is barely worth mentioning. To call Indolis a floral perfume is difficult. It's too much of an oversimplification. It's a delicate Oriental perfume that makes use of the prettiest jasmine I've smelled in an olfactory composition. I can see why many die-hard ALD fans would find this boring, and also, how few understand its genius. It is not among my favorite compositions from the house, yet I feel it is one of the most special. I know Russian Adam puts his heart in all of his perfumes. Indolis has one of the most stunning openings I've ever smelled. Rare jasmine enfleurage, thousands of tiny white flowers exhaling their last breath. Reinforced by gardenia, orange blossom and jasmine absolute. This flurry of white spirits is surrounded by the most gossamer green radiance. It ripples with brightness and life. As this glorious legacy dissapates, the emerald drydown transforms into an elaborate green accord. Using a blend of oakmoss and frankincense, it becomes the smell of renewal and rebirth. Like a new frond unfurling in slow motion. Russian Adam's painstaking methods, and demand for only the most elusive ingredients is beautifully displayed in Indolis. The art of perfume lives, and Indolis is a great achievement. The accord is seamless, it is hard to pick out individual notes. But they pulse within, vibrating with animation. I wish all stages of it lasted longer, but it gives me the chance to re-experience that mind-blowing opening!

Another Masterpiece from Russian Adam. The most original and masculine white floral-based fragrance my nose has come across. As expected, unparalleled smoothness due to its top notch quality. In regards to Puredistance's Opardu, yes they are at a similar quality but that one is not 100% unique as is this one. The Puredistance is also not 100% natural, unlike Indolis. For me Frederic Malle's Carnal Flower is the second best white floral fragrance in the game, trailing behind, of course the deep and mesmerizing olfactory bliss that is Areej Le Doré's Indolis. Tied at number 5 on my all time list (tied with Carnal Flower).

I can't believe I haven't reviewed Indolis yet. I've had it in my waredrobe since May of 2018. It is to put it mildly, one of the best fragrances in my collection of many hundreds of bottles. Very indolic white floral jasmine that is creamy and absolutely beautiful, but tempered with lime, pineapple, ginger, benzoin, lavender, oakmoss, sandalwood, tonka, and tea to create a hypnotic spell of a fragrance that captivated me from the first whiff. This is a perfume for the ages IMHO. A true masterpiece and work of art and one of ALD's absolute best perfumes.

Vegetal (for a brief moment in the opening), smooth, soft, sweet and soapy. A safe, luminous scent. Nothing to write home about though. At the risk of being stoned by the hardcore Areej fans, I would hazard to say it's a rather amateur composition.
