Inverno Russo II Attar

Inverno Russo Part II, Attar. As for the Attar, this is the only composition in the set where I prefer the perfume over the pure oil. The scent profile is identical, but the attar, devoid of alcohol to push out the notes, lacks the gorgeous diffusiveness of the frankincense that makes this perfume special. It pushes off the skin the entire time with the spray version, while it is never present in the attar. It opens up lemony and balmy, but I never detect much smokiness. In the spray version, the frankincense drops like a veil over the composition, painting a beautiful pale-gray hue and a dusty-dry texture that I find incredibly addictive. For that alone, the extrait wins me over, and I much prefer it to the pure oil. Lastly, the latter seems to harbor more sweetness and creaminess, to my distaste. IG:@memory.of.scents

Received my order yesterday and spent the whole day with IR2. This is my intro to Russian Adam and Areej, and I’m not disappointed. Firstly, I get the warmth and spicy notes and sharp nuances. Then comes the florals, rose, osmanthus, and champaca come through. The floral fruitiness bounces off the oud creating a unique floral oud blend. What’s special for me is the warm florals with the musk. I am a big musk fan and not a fan of rose, but this has changed that. It dries down to the creamy, floral musk with a touch of animalics and oud. Reminds me of my grandmother’s home as a child, and she was a French showgirl/model at heart.

I do have to disagree with the contradicting review from d b14 below.Inverno Russo is indeed a smoke and incence laden composition.This is also stated by many others in the fragrance community.For those who really comprehend the nature of attars, you all know that they are superior in strenght and longevity compared to the sprays.If one truly understood the compositions behind attars, the whole review below collapses on its own unlogic conclusions.Do not be lead to doubt and grab it.The single release date is soon to be revealed. (Inverno Russo is a Portuguese language, which means "Russian winter" in English) Inverno Russo - This olfactory journey begins with a captivating opening that features a lovely blend of Omani frankincense, black pepper, and roses, all accompanied by a touch of green accord. The initial impression is a warm, floral sensation that gently leads into the heart of the scent. As the fragrance unfolds, I am enveloped in a deep, rich floral bouquet with intriguing animalic facets. It feels like osmanthus, champaka, civet, roses, plumeria, clove, cardamom, frankincense, and Indian sandalwood are all holding a harmonious meeting at the front of my nose, thanks to the lingering warmth of the florals. In the drydown, the scent settles into a sweet balsamic resin, creamy sandalwood, musk, and woody aromatic notes. I also noticed the whiff of something like cold incense towards the drydown that I couldn't figure out, which perfectly embodies the name of the fragrance. All these elements come together to form a beautifully balanced composition. Inverno Russo is a well-refined floral scent that is simply gorgeous. It exudes warmth, comfort, and an inviting, gently sweet character. ✨️💯
