Motia Attar

For those of you who are familiar with the Areej Le Doré house, you know Russian Adam is obsessed with using rare natural ingredients to create in some cases among best fragrances in the world. Motia is a part of The History of Indian Attar collection.I will use their websites description rather than paraphrasing it. "Jasmine in sandalwood oil 100% made by distillation Pure – no alcohol, no synthetic/carrier oil Natural ingredients Longevity: 12 hours++ (depends on skin) Sillage: moderate" I would disagree with the longevity as it lasts about 6-7 hours on me. Russian Adam also provides a way to blend these attars together and I would encourage this. But as a stand alone, this is simple and simply overwhelmingly beautiful. The Jasmine comes out strong and it then gradually subsides to let in wonderful sandalwood. Each attar is a 3 gram bottle and costs just US $75. Some of his fragrances are now being sold for well over 10 times this amount. I would encourage any of you that want a historic tour through ancient attars to order it ASAP. His fragrances tend to sell out quickly and are then sold on places like ebay for exorbitant sums. Be advised, silage is moderate at best, but you will love the way it envelops you.

Very nice attar. When you first apply it you get strong jasmine. I might have put too much on at first because it was almost too strong, but it subsides to a wonderful floral scent. Longevity is moderate for me as is the sillage. This would be excellent to layer with other fragrances/attars if you are so inclined but even alone, it's a very pleasant scent.

A simple and beautiful combo with a fresh, moist and luminous opening of sambac jasmine wrapped in a soft sandalwood breadcrumbs. After about an hour of time, the sandal closes around taking the scene, settling close to the skin but tenacious. Naked, raw and soothing.
