Birth of Venus

FINALLY after a year or so of wanting to smell this i finally was blessed with the opportunity to do so while visiting chicago! in all honesty i was truly overwhelmed with so much excitement and joy because not only was i able to smell this but almost 30 other fragrances that I’ve been interested in and quite a few off my wishlist by time i made it to birth of Venus i had already spent most of the day already smelling fragrances and was getting to the point where i had the absolute worst headache ever so when i finally got to smell this idk I just was fully PRESENT while taking her in BUT for some reason even though I couldn’t remember what it smelt like exactly i just COULD NOT stop thinking about it once i made it back home from my trip so i just said fuck it and bought it as a graduation gift for myself for completing medical assistance school along with chelsea nights & vanilla powder. the bottle the presentation EVERYTHING is absolutely top tier when opening this idk i got a sense that this is definitely one of the most unique perfumes in my collection aside from soei malaqauis (the absolute love of my life) i wore this tonight to my graduation dinner and EVERYONEEE loved it but literally could not tell me what it smelt like ( i always ask questions when receiving compliments because i neeeeeed to know like tell me what smell like lol) but everyone kept saying something along the lines of “ idk you just smelt soft but idk in a very ethereal way” or i this one comment that stood out “ you always smells good but this just smells different but in a very good way” only because i am that friend in the group who typically has fragrance on so nothing really surprises them as often unless its a scent I haven’t pulled out in a while but this one specifically it made me for 1 enjoy the experience of wearing it but 2 i really enjoyed the reactions of my friends and family and how they couldn’t point what i smelt I’ve had this on for 10 hours now and just woke up from the best nap of my life (omg) and im still getting whiffs of it from my skin without even having to put my nose up to it which is insane in such a good way of course i just don’t come across fragrances like that often unless it of course has a super lactonic or musky base. I’d say that this sits somewhere between sweet not cloying but definitely can be if worn in super hot or humid weather but id also say that this is kind of aromatic more than anything. oh and if you hate orange blossom just as much as I do ( i steer clear if i know its coming) but i think argos putting it in the top note was such a killer move because in my opinion i feel like its just a greeter like its just introducing you to birth of benus but isn’t the star of the show if that makes sense idk. overall id say that the hate below is a bunch of boo boo tomato go smells this for yourself and allow the haters hate there are people who love this for a reason and enjoy it for what it is and even those who don’t like this but aren’t bashing the company and or the art work itself are good to look at but don’t be blinded by bitterness and hate and go seen for yourself. overall 15/10 for the fragrance and presentation I’ll be back in a few months to update my review follow me for daily layering combos and upcoming combos using birth of Venus @parfumpresident on TikTok & instagram

Chose Birth of Venus and Love Triumphs Over War as the samples I wanted when I bought my Triumph Of Bacchus because I wanted to smell Argos’ female targeted frags and god damn... this is insanely good, even after smelling more decants from the house. Heavenly blessed fruit basket that just radiates juicy brightness. Scent: Was I able to sit there and pick apart every single fruity note in the opening? Fuck no. Did it smell absolutely amazing like a freshly picked basket of the juiciest fruits? Fuck yes. You get absolutely blasted by that sweet fruity opening before starting to catch whiffs of white florals blending into the sweetness before drying down into this absolutely divine, sweet and slightly woody heart. Please if you were considering to sample this fragrance, absolutely do. My review can’t do this fragrance justice. Performance: My girlfriend sprayed on the sample a couple of times and wow, very impressive performance. Lasts for most parts throughout the entire day and the projection is also quite strong even from afar I can immediately pick up that sweet fruitiness of this perfume. Versatility: Maybe I’m biased because I just like this fragrance so much but damn I wouldn’t mind smelling this on my girl in any occasion in any temperature. Because of how sweet and florally it is, it definitely leans very feminine but I still believe men can wear this just based off how good it smells. Scent: 9.5/10 Performance: 9.5/10 Versatility: 7/10 Personal Score: 9/10 Love Triumphs Over War (one I thought I’d like more) was an absolute letdown but Birth of Venus was unexpectedly incredible. Easily full bottle worthy and I immediately knew I was gonna have to pick it up for my girlfriend. STUNNING.

I'm new to the fragrance community but I've sampled close to 50+ fragrances and this fragrance compared to everything I've smelt is top 10 closer to top 5. This fragrance after the first seconds of spraying it you get this amazing fruit punch smell, that smells incredibly similar to the taste and smell of Red Otter Pops. It is an absolutely amazing fruity smell that has like waxy kind of lipstick smell to it along with its fruit punch smell, that just makes it so damn edible. The dry down for me personally was kind of linear where the fragrance stayed close to same throughout its 8+ hours but the fruit punch blast started to become less prominent and this, I believe more chocolatey scent started to become apparent, which is still amazing. This scent is most definitely feminine but I honestly don't care as it smells so damn edible and beautiful. TLDR; Amazing Red Otter Pop opening with a waxy, lipstick smell and chocolate dry down.

Birth of Venus is a scent I was unsure I’d like, several notes in this scent profile did have me questioning if I’d like it. I bought their sample pack because she is PRICY. Upon first spray though I loved it. Upon first spray it’s a lovely creamy citrusy raspberry moment, the dry down is more white floral, with citrus at the forefront. I was extremely worried about that chocolate note, I’m not a fan of chocolate fragrances even light ones. I was also a little worried about grapefruit lavender and sandalwood, those are hit or miss for me. Luckily (or unlucky for me if you’re my bank account) the chocolate note is pretty unnoticeable for me, and the other notes blend together so beautifully. So I bought the smaller bottle to save on money, but I went through that bottle SO quickly that I bought a full size bottle. I highly recommend this. I haven’t bought a full bottle of something so quickly in my life.

this is a gorgeous floral raspberry chocolate fragrance that transforms the entire time you wear it. on initial spray, its a blast of fruit and florals but slowly the raspberry takes over and the chocolate adds a very warm depth that sweetens the fragrance the rest of the wear. unfortunately, this perfume isn't beast-mode on me as it lasts only about 2 hours on skin, although it does stay on my clothes for days. this perfume can get so sickly sweet (in a good way) so I would reserve this for cold weather or early spring. wearing this in warm weather does make my stomach turn slightly. this is SUCH a gorgeous bottle and honestly half of the reason I indulged in such an expensive fragrance. what a lovely scent to represent Venus. edit: call me crazy but testing this next to la belle and they smell VERY similar to my nose..

I had owned Birth of Venus by Argos for a while, but this was my first time truly wearing it, and it really surprised me. I applied it early in the morning around 4:30 AM, and even hours later it was still projecting beautifully. At one point, a coworker mentioned she could smell it from over 12 feet away, which says a lot about its performance. The scent itself is delicious and very easy to like. The peach and raspberry feel perfectly balanced, creating a soft, slightly ambery sweetness that comes across warm and inviting. It’s not overly complex, but that simplicity makes it incredibly crowd-pleasing. The drydown is smooth and pleasant, not overpowering at all, and the presentation is just as beautiful as the fragrance itself. Overall, a long-lasting and high-performing scent that’s effortlessly enjoyable.

Such a great, playful fragrance. I smelled it as a sample and ended up getting it for myself. Even though it's listed as a feminine fragrance, I think it could work with a nice suit in a playful circumstance. The peach and orange blossom, raspberries, chocolate, rose, jasmine and the underlying warmth blend together perfectly into what easily climbs to a top-5 feminine leaning fragrances for me. While it may contain lavender, it's not as present, so it's just this beautifully fruity and floral fragrance with just enough warmth in it, and it never really loses that balance. It's been a long while since I smelled it, but I might have to give it another go. It's one of those fragrances I had to get after just one wear of the sample.

Peachy Raspberry Jam. Another Argos banger might be overtaking all the others in my collection. It starts off with pure raspberry peach jam. This the real fruity fragrance I've been looking for not so much gourmand like i love. I've Seen People say this is synthetic, and maybe it is, but i cant really smell that, it's such a sweet candle like fruit bomb, that might be what is giving people that vibe, but i love it myself. There's a big rose/jasmine note in there, giving it a nice floral touch too. Once it starts to dry down, it becomes more of a light, airy chocolate with some amber but still plenty of the sweetness from the opening. Even as a man i will still wear this when I'm at home, such a beautiful imo unisex scent

Oh I love this. This is my 4th Argos fragrance and I'm impressed. Yes it's obviously synthetic, but what isn't these days, and it all depends on the blend and quality right? This is quality and very smooth...and those bottles!!! These are my favourite bottles ever! I'll wear this all year round, though I think it will be exceptional come the cooler months here in Australia. Very strong and feminine, and juicey. Peachy, citrus florals with deeper darker undertones of chocolate, amber and woods. I'm going to gleefully let this sit for a few weeks as others suggest, and as per previous experiences with Argos fragrances, and let it really blend with some oxidising time. Very happy to place this in my collection 😊

I am so happy this has been finally added to the database so i can throw my two cents in. This is absolutely gorgeous. I struggle a little describing how it smells as I find it extremely well blended. I would say it is a sweet floral-fruity scent with a creamy texture ever so slightly green from what i assume a mix of top notes on a powdery woody base. The peach and orange blossom are quite present throughout the whole wear. The quality of this is outstanding and the projection and longevity are massive without the use of those intrusive aroma-chemicals used by other houses. I would say it has a lot in common with kilian gggb extreme, but overall better and 3x sweeter. To me it leans very much feminine.

I smelled this in the store about two hours ago, (granted it was a really tiny spritz) and the most striking scent I picked up was the smell you get when you've finished a bowl of very fresh cut strawberries, and left their juices to dry and get sticky in the bottom of said bowl. There is no strawberry note. I'm going insane. After letting it dry on my skin it has now lost every aspect of that first dry strawberry juice scent, and no one in my house believes me when I try to explain it. Please god does anyone understand what I'm saying please I know this is labelled as a peach scent it literally has nothing to do with strawberries please Im agctuually losing .it help me. Someone. Anyoen.

UPDATE: sooooooooo currently dealing with ptsd and i underestimated the power of scent being tied to memories and how it really transports you back to a specific time and place .. i absolutely had to get rid of this along with everything i wore from September of last year up until really now because of how toxic my environment was including the people and just so much surrounding it. i know this is a beautiful scent because i longed for it for so long and finally got it & now i absolutely hate it like i can’t even take off the cap and take a whiff without wincing. i am starting from a cleansed palate & any gourmands or any perfumes worn the second half of 2025 has been decluttered.

I am usually not a fan of fruity fragrances but when I smelled Birth of Venus I had to change my mind. This is a very matured fruity fragrance which is very well blended and oozes sophistication and elegance. And on another note, I am totally in love with the Argos bottles and the concept that they depict the Greek mythology! I have also Neptune's Trident, Triumph of Bacchus and Adonis Awakens from this brand which are also amazing fragrances and worth trying.

This fragrance will always have a place among my most seductive perfumes. The raspberry and rose notes are definitely the most dominant to me. It’s fruity, floral, sweet and has such a flirty, feminine vibe to it. There’s something playful yet elegant about the scent that makes it so addictive to wear. I truly enjoy using it! The longevity is amazing and the projection is also really good. A perfume that easily leaves a beautiful trail behind 💘

Note to self: I need to buy a bottle of Birth of Venus for my fiancee ASAP!!! I've had a sample set of Argos fragrances for almost a whole year, and I have a full bottle of Bacio Immortale, but I hadn't used the samples in a long time. I just broke out my sample of Birth of Venus, and the scent notes are right up my fiancee's alley. She loves peach and sandalwood!!! So far I love how it smells on her. It's alluring and sweet.

Sweet jammy rose with citrus fruits and berries. Vibrant, captivating - I love it. Amazing performance and projection. Perfect for Fall, Spring - really anytime except if it is NOT humid and over 80. Relatively linear. I'm twirling an umbrella, spewing out fancy motivational quotes while I sit in the park on a blanket with a picnic basket for two. I feel pretty, confident and inciteful while wearing this fragrance.

This is by far one of the MOST amazing fragrances I've ever purchased. Very fruity, superb longevity and projection. While definitely unisex in my opinion, it leans feminine. I promise, most will have nothing even similar in their collection, and for those that are bashing the scent, I'd strongly encourage them to test their PH as the problem is not the fragrance, it's their PH doesn't work for this fragrance.

This is genuinely the best thing I’ve ever smelt in my life from opening to dry down. It is phenomenal leans a bit feminine for sure but it smells so good that I don’t even care you can wear any season any occasion and be one of the best smelling people there. Price is definitely pretty high, but I will absolutely be buying another bottle when I run out. This makes me happy to have a nose.

This perfume is very beautiful one that really blows me away. I love floral and fruity, and this is full blown sexy fruity floral blanket. It smells very sophisticated and luxurious. The fruits and florals hang on for about 4-6 hours then it dries down to a beautiful amber cashmere. The chocolate leaves a slight gourmand touch in the mid. Over all masterfully blended and Last 10 hours plus

I plunked down the money for the Argos discovery set and although none of them were terrible, this was the clear jewel. I smell the raspberry which makes it just a little more interesting and made it stand out to me. It's a scent you wear for yourself and who ever may get intimately close to you. But for those who do they find it delightful. As do I as I smell my wrist throughout the day.
