Sacred Flame

Currently testing this fragrance via the sample kit that you can get online from Agros and so far, I'm loving it. For the first two hours of having, it on my skin, there was something that I was reminded of, but I just could not piece it together. Finally, I realized that the dry down was reminding me of Hypnotizing Fire by The Harmonist. But this is so much earthier and dirtier than that fragrance, in a good way. The opening brightness from the citrus mixed with the very rich and almost roasted drying spices very much scream late fall camping trip to me. Like the remaining embers of the fire at the campsite as you slowly drift to sleep after a long day of hiking and having an adventure to remember. That being said, there is something in here that smells slightly screechy to my nose for the first 15 minutes, and I haven't fully figured out what it might be.

@MrHeff, no its not. But Christian Petrovich released bottles early for US in his FB group. Get some facts first b4 opening your mouth. Now.... Out of the 14 Argos fragrances I have, this is immediately in the top5. Ambery peach tea, with floral spices intermingling throughout. Then a slight smokiness with soft woods & vanilla coming thru to present a complex, smooth & BEAUTIFUL creation from Christian. This wearing, longevity has been 8hours so far...scent bubble was about a arms' length & a half for about 3hrs. I have over 300 bottles now, and Argos (Mr.P) does the note of Peach the ABSOLUTE BEST! Birth of Venus is still on top as my favorite Argos with Pallas Athene, Triumph Of Bacchus, Adonis Awakens and Fall Of Phaeton following closely behind. With the new Sacred Flame fitting somewhere amongst those beauties! All in all...8.5/10 rating overall

Holy blind buy win I've had my eye on Argos and this fragrance in particular and I held back blind buying because I wanted to at least sample it first, but alas I bought a tester and the gamble paid off big time. To me its a sweet fruity vanilla with some spices and florals in the back, and also has this kind of greenish facet to it that kinda made me nervous when I first smelled it because thats not the vibe I was expecting, but I think I got used to it in a good way and the smell over all is stunning and its not linear at all the opening is quite fruity and over time it settles to this amazing vanilla. This is definitely a performer too especially on clothes (but do NOT spray this on anything white the color is strong) but this is simply amazing 9.7/10

This is one of my favourites from Argos. The opening it’s juicy-sweet peach and tangerine and the ginger and cinnamon comes out pretty quickly too which grounds the sweetness with a beautiful, delicate spice! I can’t even describe the dry down but I’ll try - an amber, tonka, smoky dry down, but not a choking smoke. This is like smouldering embers from a fire, rather than a roaring smoky fire. It is the perfect rendition of a ‘fire’ in fragrance form. Just fantastic! Lasts fucking ages too but does mark light coloured clothing because the juice is SO RED! 😂

This was a deliberate purchase, the notes were an interesting combination. To get the best out of the Sacred Flame is to understand that it evolves over time. Don't be afraid of the initial raw power, it is the beginning of something special with depth and unexpected nuances to come, as it is designed to evolve and reveal new facets over time, ensuring a unique experience, also making the right choices to layer because Its profile will change over its evolution. Full Masceration may be 8 -12 months so be sure to use it at each stage of change. Easy 9.5

I've bought this frag as a sample, and it is truly not described properly by words or by notes, it must be smelled. It is unlike anything I have ever smelled. It is spicy and fruity-sweet in the opening, then it slowly fades into a smooth blend of ambery tonka with a touch of cinnamon. It's a crazy sophisticated version of a douchebag frag, because it is booming and spicy. More than anything though, it is powerful. Price point is a little high though, as is the case for any frag by Argos (besides TOB extrait.) Overall, I rate this fragrance a 8.9/10

Blind bought this, I was surprised by the opening as it was very gingery with some freshness to it but can't really tell what it is. Dry down is amazing, very sweet spicy and almost smokey like scent. I've worn this once now so I might need to wear it more often in the winter soon to get to know the notes more but overall, really good one ngl. I would say this is NOT blind buy safe. I like it but I can understand why some people wouldn't like this. Also don't spray this in a white shirt, it will stain the hell out of it.

So first of all this is great the opening smells like a spicy fruit punch insanely unique. And a thing i love about argos is how much their fragrances change on skin. This goes from a spicy fruit punch to a creammyyy peach ice cream on me. Definently not simlar to any of the stronger with you's which i hear lots compare this to, maybe in the mid drydown i can see it but still not similar. Everyone will have a different take on every argos. Final rating 10/10 amazing bruh.

it's fantastic. on my skin, it smells like a tropical version of Dior Fahrenheit. the tangerine and peach notes really pop in the opening and then the dry down becomes very smoky and dark. that's when you pick up on the cinnamon and wood. it is probably best for winter and fall, but i think one can wear it in the spring and summer, too as long they don't overspray the stuff. just dial back the sprays during the warmer seasons

Such a juicy and punchy fragrance and not at all my usual thing. Very candy sweet top notes, like a cherry jolly rancher. If that’s all it was I would hate this with a passion and write it off as a first fragrance for 12 year olds. And yet...with all the deep and spicy woods I keep coming back for more. Ends up smelling quite exotic to me as well as surprisingly masculine overall, plus the sillage and longevity can’t be beat.

My bottle arrives in 2 days! So excited. I have been waiting on this release since I first heard of it. My favorite from the house is Adonis Awakens. I ended up ordering 2 additional samples of something that I've always wanted, but never tried. I picked the Homme and the Birth of Venus. I hope they live up to the quality of Argos! I just hope Sacred Flame will not be a catch and release for me!

Best Argos to me so far by far, kinda just a super sweet designer maltol bomb but it’s done super well and has just enough spicy undertones to not be overly sweet and boring. Very strong, 2 sprays will last you a whole day easy and this stuff can seriously stain the juice is like blood red, can definitely see myself wearing this a lot in winter not really unique just really well done

Almost purely floral aromas, overtly clean smelling and underlying cinnamon spice just at the very end of the cologne. It’s also reminding me of a more mild Fireball, like a warmer base after all the floral scents. I honestly quite like this one, way different from the previous two I tried. There may just be a little too many floral scents all at once. 4.1/5

There are many good fragrances, some more complex and others perhaps more purposeful. But Sacred Flame is one of those fragrances so perfect, so unique that you literally can't stop smelling. Masterpiece.

Argos knocked it out of the park with this one. Very complicated deep gourmand that gets me with every whiff. Perfectly blended and indescribable.. just magic.

This fragrance brings the illusion of fire to life. It is hypnotic and intoxicating. It's like a spicy, warm, sugar flame. Absolute masterpiece!

My favorite, I cant get enough of it. Best suited for evening and formal wear but Lord help me I wear it all the time.

So this is a strange one. My only knowledge of Argos Fragrances was Triumph of Bacchus which is one of their more popular offerings. I still haven't gotten around to trying it yet, but it's on my list. However, I recently saw a sample of their new fragrance Sacred Flame come up for sale. The person selling it said "it wasn't for them" and gave me a good deal on it. Hopefully thats not foreshadowing and I don't end up feeling the same way. Let's get into it; Scent: The opening is spicy, fruity, and sweet. The primary notes I get are cinnamon, tangerine, peach, and ginger. The strongest of the notes are the cinnamon and tangerine. The cinnamon is intensely warm and spicy, more intense than what I'm used to with most cinnamon notes. The tangerine is citrusy, rindy, and tart. It is a big player in the opening and helps to balance out the spiciness of the cinnamon. This is followed by the peach and ginger. The ginger adds to the spiciness but in a fresh, green way. Lastly, the peach brings up the rear with a soft, fruity, and juicy sweetness. Underneath these notes I also get hints of the vanilla, amber/benzoin, and cloves. These notes add supplemental sweetness and more warm spice. One thing worth noting is that I undeniably get a "fire" accord from the opening. I'm not sure how to explain it or where it's coming from, but I get a noticeable fiery, smoky accord that gives the effect of all the other notes being set on fire and burning. Not in a bad, off-putting way, but it's definitely striking and attention-grabbing. I'm almost positive there is an undisclosed incense note in this fragrance that's helping contribute to that. So much so that if it were listed I would put it as a primary note. The dry down is warm spicy, sweet, and woody. The primary notes I get are amber, cinnamon, sandalwood, and vanilla. The strongest of the notes are the cinnamon and vanilla. The cinnamon has that same intense warm spiciness from the opening while the vanilla has risen to the top to balance it out with its signature sweetness. This is followed by the sandalwood and amber. The sandalwood gives the drydown a sturdy woodiness with a dose of creaminess that excellently compliments the vanilla. Lastly, the amber rounds out the dry down with a deep, resinous sweetness in the background. I also still get hints of the warm spiciness from the cloves, as well as some powderiness from the tonka bean and a bit of earthiness from the patchouli. All the fruit notes have burned off in the dry down, and the mysterious incense note while still there is much more dialed back. The "fire" accord is still present in the dry down, but no where near as strong as it was in the opening. I liken the opening to a raging inferno, and the dry down to a smoldering ember. Performance: Initial projection is nuclear and easily fills a room. Sillage matches that energy with a dense and heavy scent trail. After a few hours the projection and sillage hadn't changed, they were still extremely strong. At around the 8 hour mark the projection was still outside of arms length and the scent trail was still noticeable. The fragrance became a skin scent right around the 12 hour mark. When to wear: This is a fall/winter fragrance most suited for evening wear. This is a fragrance that would work on dates or special occasions. It is not a casually worn fragrance and I wouldn't wear it to the office or formal occasions. This is one of those "make a statement" fragrances. Blind buy: I wouldn't label this fragrance as a safe blind buy. Firstly, it's expensive; around $300 retail. Secondly, that "fire" accord is going to turn some people off. I think it's very intriguing, but I can definitely understand it not being for everyone. I would recommend getting your nose on this before committing to a full purchase. Final verdict: Sacred Flame was quite an encounter for me. From the blazing opening to the scorched embers of the dry down, this fragrance was a flame-kissed olfactory experience. The performance was Herculean as well, with all the power to reach out and smack someone in the face. This is a prime example of high perfumery and something I can appreciate the virtuosity of. And while I think this fragrance truly is a work of art, I can concede that it's not for me. The achievement of making a fragrance smell like its notes are on fire is sublime creativity, but it's not necessarily something I want to smell like. To me, this is something I would keep on my shelf and pull out to show people how creative perfumery can be. But that isn't enough reason for me to spend $300 for it. However, I don't regret at all getting a sample of it, as it has opened my eyes to a new realm of what fragrance can be. I would recommend anyone to try it, if for no other reason to broaden your horizons. I will definitely be looking more closely at Argos Fragrances in the future. Scent: 8/10 Longevity: 9/10 Sillage: 10/10

I got a decant of this and actually like it. I can’t say I pick up all or even most of the notes listed (what’s new..) but unlike a couple others here I definitely pick up a citrus. Also the peppery aspect is obvious. I wouldn’t have paired those two together but those along with the other notes including warm spice (non pepper spice) and sweetness it somehow kind of works, on me anyways. The “sugar flame” comment below kind of resonates too, not that it’s overpowering but there is an element of that. Then there’s a fruit note. I wouldn’t say peach comes to mind and wouldn’t even after seeing that listed. It’s more of a berry smell almost to my nose. Also the white floral aspect is there, but somehow doesn’t overpower either which is rare for that type of note (especially tuberose). Again, the note combination on paper doesn’t seem like it would be pleasant at all, and this is definitely not a fragrance that all would enjoy, but to me it’s kind of nice. I wouldn’t buy a full bottle, partly because it’s not a love and instead a strong like and try to only get full bottles of loves with the number of fragrances that I own, but also because this decant is plenty for when I would want to wear this genre of fragrance. Even my full bottle “loves” (not that all the ones I already own are loves) won’t get used to the last drop with possibly the exception of a rare few. Other personal experiences: Great performance and projection. Cool/cold weather suits best. Unisex leaning slightly masculine.

Argos, oh Argos... I sold my first bottle of Sacred Flame but really craved the smell during the colder months. It is a beautiful warm scent to beat the cold for sure, especially with all the spices that jump off my skin. First fragrance this reminds me of is Musc Ravageur, with the latter being much more wearable to even the same situations, if you will. Sacred Flame has the Argos DNA, undeniably. However, a warm citrus, cloves, and vanilla are the main highlights with a softer pick up from the typical peach-sandalwood backbone from others in the brand. Interesting enough to get a bottle, but might be overkill to get 100ml even if you have it as a functional fragrance - performance is no joke and could choke/fill a room easily. Wife said she picked up something like a burnt sugar accord in the air. Price point at discounters is pretty good for what you get in general from the EDPs from Argos. Out of all the ones I have this is probably the one I'll wear this least, but one of the most interesting of the bunch.

I agree @oct6brs that the opening is actually a mess. I'm wearing this on my arm right now and it smoothing A LOT more after 6 min of wear. I won't buy this one but the tuberose is very present very present in fact. There is also a lot of green aspects like almost garden trimmings. This does not smell like Applejack's ...it's much more sophisticated than that. Ignore that comment from someone else. This smooths out much much better after almost 10 minutes but that beginning can be a bit messy. I almost scrubbed it off but I'm grateful I waited because now it smells gorgeous and creamy now. Not the most masculine but it not exactly feminine either. This is very good - after 10-15 min since initial spray this now creamy smooth and very very nice. But you must get past that opening. Get yourself the samples if you want. I'm comparing this to danaë on my other arm and they are both good. These are sweeter profiles. Very nice. Creamy and sweet.

A strange one, got a tester of this in with my Triumph of Bacchus purchase, funnily enough just before I was going to order a tester! So to my nose,this is a first impression, it opens sweet & on my skin stayed sweet for about 2 hours with me actually thinking that there was no "flame" & then it changed, took me a bit to recall where I come across the smells before: TF's Ombre Leather but a bit sweeter & Argos' own Bacio Immortale but a bit stronger- very surprised that there is no leather listed in the notes so it must be an ingredient all 3 have in common. I'll finish by saying that I quite like it, not sure if it will progress to FB as I already have 3 bottles from the House & there's 2 BDK fragrances in front of it.

I’ve been back and forth with my sample for the last 4 months, trying to decide if I want to buy this or not. It just keeps drawing me back in. It does lean more masculine, but as a female I’d still wear this. I don’t get any floral notes or peach whatsoever on me. I can smell the ginger, citruses and some woodiness. This is a fiery scent and suits its name perfectly. I find it quite unique, invigorating, warm and really very addictive. It would be great for cold weather, although I think it would be suffocating in warm weather. It’s also strong, you don’t need more than 1-2 sprays. This is definitely something I’d have to be in the mood to wear.

A guy at work ask me what I was wearing; I lied and told him I couldn’t remember :| I have no idea why. that was not very cash money of me. regardless it’s a very citrusy, flowery, slightly woody fragrance. It opens with a very strong, bitter sour opening that lasts for about an 1hr and a half. Throughout the day It l becomes less bitter and you begin to get some vanilla with a soft lingering flower note in the background, it settles into a very soft, tangerine, flowery faintly woody fragrance. personally it leaned slightly more on the feminine side for my liking. it last a very long time and smells very saturated 👌

I get greens and spice, with and undertone of fruity citrus. It reminds me of the trees by the cliffs in the mediterranean. I would say this is a fall winter fragrance that work for both day and night, but leaning night as the primary time. It is a good fragrance, that your nose will appreciate the complexity of; whether you like it or not. I would recommend it if the notes sounds like something you would like. It is definitely a masculine fragrance but I would not give it a second thought if a woman wore it, due to it being an amazing fragrance.

At the opening, it delivers a mandarin-forward, cologne-like impression, which may initially be intimidating for some. However, it requires a bit of patience—Argos fragrances often do. This peppery, citrus-driven, cologne-style opening reaches toward floral notes with an intense clove nuance. As mandarin joins hands with cinnamon, cinnamon then steps aside, allowing rose to take center stage. It feels like a true olfactory feast, leaping from note to note. This is my third Argos fragrance, and I’m genuinely very happy with my choice.

This is a strange/pleasant scent. I’m getting nice vanilla with a warm/hot spicy note. It’s polarizing and a little strange. But it’s just addicting. When I smell it coming off of me from 1-3 feet, it’s amazing. When I smell it up close within 6 inches, it’s weird and spicy with a dissatisfaction. But even with that off putting spiciness, it’s what makes this addicting. I keep wanting to smell it more and I keep coming back to it. I love it. Wife hates it. I’m getting a bottle. Maybe the 30ml.

So an update after my sample has sat for a couple of weeks, I really like this, gone is that initial sweetness & the drydown has now changed as well. What I get now is a spicy,burnt vanilla, not sure what anyone else gets that's near me but that's certainly what's assailing my senses. I had been leaning towards Rouge Smoking for my next purchase but this may have replaced it, that's how highly I rate it.

Tangerine+cinnamon and resins... Sounds weird right? It is. That doesn't mean it's inherently bad though, the blend either works for you or it doesn't. Spicy and slightly citrusy, smells a bit like some sort of candy with balsamic/incense elements to it. Lasts 12 hours and projects really well. I'd give this one a 8/10, I wouldn't buy a full bottle but I'll praise the creativity behind this fragrance.

Smoky, almost burnt, resinous, fruity. Smelling this from up close is not the best experience, but then I get some occasional whiffs, and that's magnificent. Very strong projection. Not very similar to SWY, as this misses the chestnut. It's very mysterious, very hard to describe and very hard to find anything similar. This is one of those that you need to sample and smell for yourself.

Very good fragrance. It was blind buy, notes looked very good to me and I am really satisfied with this perfume. Very spicy, little sour and warm fragrance, longevity is good, projection is okay, winter go to frag. Presentation and bottle are masterpiece. Overall 8/10.

This is a nice smelling fragrance, but be careful using it -- I have a 2ml tester that I sprayed on a tester strip and it turned the strip a blotchy dark orange. Despite how nice it smells, it will stain your clothes. That makes it not worth it for me.

good nice cold weather fragrance. it has the signature argos dna (still trying to pinpoint what exactly that is but all of them have the same smell) but is probably one of the better takes. 8/10

There's a lot going on here. It's predominantly a sweet fragrance but there's an accord that I can only describe as citrus being set on fire running throughout. Sounds good but it makes for something a bit messy and bizarre. It's OK and fits the name well but Triumph of Bacchus is the king from this house. Edit- Have to note that this smells far superior in the air than on skin & also has excellent performance. Not as under par as I initially thought.

A boozy tonka base with sugary fruit at the top. Once you get past the overwhelming opening, this is nice. If I wanted this scent profile, though, I'd rather reach for City Rhythm Miami. This is not as refined as City Rhythm, and feels much too busy. There's a lot going on in this fragrance - smells clash into an undefined "bubblegum sweet" almost ultramale-esque profile. If this were more refined and complete it'd be amazing. For now, it's just OK.

Honestly I get strong floral notes. Very rose heavy on my skin. The peach/rose combo is making it a bit too soft for my taste. It needs more warm/spicy notes for what I am wanting out of something called "Sacred Flame". But what it is, is very nice, if you like more soft florals. It has almost a gothic like mood to it. For me, I was just hoping for something with a different identity.

Olfactory overload. There are elements to this that I like, but overall it's a bit too unfocused to be truly enjoyable.

Literally, it smells like apple jacks cereal. Fruits mixed with cinnamon, that's all this is.

More like Sacred Gasoline. Sacred Flame is one of the more popular Argos fragrances, I still have several samples to give wears to from my discovery set, so I made it my scent of the day today. Honestly I don't know where to start with this so I'll mention performance quickly before talking about the scent. Projection seems moderate to strong with a dense sillage. I'd be surprised if this didn't reach 8 hours on skin like all other Argos (UPDATE: it does). One of the biggest gripes people have with Argos is that they smell synthetic. While I agree fragrances like Danaë and Fall of Phaeton smell a bit rough, this I feel is way too synthetic and makes the fragrance a bit hard for me to tolerate. Sacred Flame has this chemical harshness in the opening that's a bit off putting, I liken it to the spiky smell of the paper and ink of a newspaper. I've smelled this in other fragrances before, especially in a handful of Frederic Malles (Rose & Cuir, Promise, Music For A While), but I'm not sure which aroma chemical causes it. After about an hour the scent starts turning a bit nutty for some reason, and this nutty smell combined with that chemical sharpness makes this smell kind of like gasoline. In the air I do get a fruity-ish sweetness very similar to that of Interlude Man/Black Iris (not sure why either) along with this gasoline smell. Right now, about 4 hours into the wear, the scent I catch in the air is a very likeable ambery vanilla but there's still some of that sharpness in the scent trail and even more up close on skin. It also doesn't help that this is one of those fragrances that irritates my throat, so I wouldn't wear this even if it didn't seem to react badly on my skin. I'll give this another go in the future but right now I don't like this. UPDATE: Didn't scrub this off, the deep dry down (8 hours onward) is just Amber Xtreme and vanilla, so even more things going against me liking this scent.

The initial notes are as described, with the peppers starting to show, the beautiful fruity opening on my skin lasts about 60 seconds and after that the pepper takes over, with some very soft hints of cinnamon and the vetiver which is a dry earthy kind that blends very well with the pepper. With the exception of the first 60 seconds , Sacred flame is very much linear on my skin and most importantly, projection and sillage are absolute garbage. This is my 6th Argos fragrance and by far the weakest, I’m going to let it macerate and try again in a few months.

I got a sample of this, tried it on a test strip and immediately knew I wasn't gonna put it on skin. It's a weird one for sure. There's a lot going on. I feel like there's a really nice fragrance underneath whatever weird scent I'm picking up on mixed within it all. Just a hard wear imo.

I agree with other comments saying this is a strange scent. There is a rather unpleasant vegetative vibe that sticks out to my nose. Liken to that of ketchup and cooked peppers 🌶️

Really not nice. It has parts of the scent profile which are lovely but I cannot get past the 'burny' smell which I strongly dislike

I have had a sample of sacred flame for multiple months now, and I always come back to smell to see if I still hate it and yup, it still smells like throw up. This is the only fragrance that I've smelled that made me recoil back and run to scrub it off. I'm not proficient in detailing the smell and what makes it smell so disgusting to me but I believe its from its complexity. There are so many notes in this frag, which in turn makes me believe the complexity overwhelms my nose and smells mostly of a vomited out peach. I really want to like this brand due to their amazing flair and crazy long performance and silage but majority of these have been complete misses.

@extradorinary fragrance. If you own 2000 bottles, which is crazy even by my standard, but good for you, I have no clue how this could be in ur top 10. It wouldn’t make my top 500. The opening is really bad, blending isn’t great, and is barely wearable by the dry down. Obviously just my opinion but I’ve owned or tried at least 1k fragrances myself and am blow away that you would put this anywhere near ur top 10. I’m glad that I for once in my life bought a decant, cause I would never want a full bottle.For those who haven’t tried it, don’t go by the listed notes, they don’t give any indication of what this thing smells like. Mike Stevo’s on the right track, the peach isn’t very distinguishable until the dry down which is only a slight improvement over the opening. It does smell like a pickled pimento rather than peach as listed. Think Santal 33 pickle note from the sandalwood with hypnotizing fire parfum pimento note sitting on a base a vetiver, sandalwood, and amber, sound weird? That’s because it is. This house has a few winners, no doubt, but this thing is just weird and smells incomplete. Def not a safe blind imo.
