Cloud Pink

Note: I absolutely have this in my favourites now but before it became a favorite I almost hated it so this is the review I wrote back then) I don't know what to feel about it I have mixed feelings. at first I smelled a candy smell, from the red berries but then I was hit with an aromatic spiciness that's indeed like others described, very similiar to a dentist's office or the medicine they use in hospital.. also like a plastic band aid too like many describe.but sometimes I also get whiffs of soft coconut water, and praline.. which I really like. I also can smell the dragon fruit. But in the mix I don't like it even though my favorite lip gloss smells the best because it smells like dragon fruit but this one is too spicey.. and by the way I usually don't understand how people describe certain scents as off-putting just because they smell like cough syrup.. Cough syrup is sweetened yummy and I love it. I also love the smell of green leaves and green grass This one I couldn't really wholeheartedly like I love fantasy so much more. Old formula. Was creamy gourmand yet very woodsey very fresh a tiny bit sour too. It wasn't too sweet nor too musky nor spicey.. this one is too musky or aromatic. Masculine leaning for sure.. I wish there was more of that fresh coconut scent in it and less musk and ambrette .. Not a fan Edit I .AM LOVING.THIS A LOT.: I love when this happens as it expands my hlrizons.. the more I spray and smell it the more I am getting hooked to its charm.. it's not just candy and musky it is very gourmand to my nose now as the praline is becoming very prominent for some reason .. maybe cause I did more sprays of it.. like six. . Edit 2: can someone explain to me why sometimes we don't smell all the notes at the beginning.. now I am falling absolutely head over heels in love with it. I can smell all the notes.. the coconut water is so fresh and sweet.. the praline with the musk or ambrette and the berries make a fizzy winey berry sweet beverage out of it. I can smell all the notes blended.. This isn't overwhelmingly musky and the musk is not suffocating me with how powdery it is like in noble blush. I love noble blush but it's too powdery for me.. so infuse carefully.. This one is not. I think it's very feminine now Edit 3: I AM CRAZY ABOUT THIS ITS MY FAVORITE NOW .. THE SOFT COCONUT WATER AND OTHER FRUITS MUXED IN WITH THE EDGY SPICY MUSK AND AMBRETTE ARE THIS PERFECT BALANCE THAT'S BEEN STRIKED .. AND THE PRALINE MAKES THIS A WINTERY COZY ONE WITHOUT MAKING IT TOO SWEET FOR ME. THE COMBO OF NOTES FOR SOME REASON IS MAKING ME THINK Of red berry wine or coconut water flavoured with spice and berries. ELEGANT BUT PLAYFUL AND FEMININE.. FOR A DATE NIGHT OR FOR JUST SUPER SEXY FEMININE VIBES..I only got what the vibes are about the more I sprayed of it .

I can honestly say this is one of my favorite fragrances, likely because I have such dear scent memory attached to it; this is one of the fragrances I layered for my wedding and took with me on my honeymoon! At that point in time, I was brand-new to the fragrance world. In fact, my search for a wedding perfume is what sparked my newfound love of fragrance; I had been on the hunt for something that would help me create a scent memory for that period of my life, and needless to say, I am hooked. With that being said... I know now that there are much more "bridal" scents out there, but I have no regrets wearing this for my wedding. This fragrance makes me feel beautiful and feminine and tender, which is exactly how I wanted to feel on that day. The initial spray is admittedly quite alcoholic and sharp, perhaps due to the pineapple note, but within a few minutes it eases into sweet, delicious goodness. The drydown is 100% cotton candy with a bit of juiciness from the various fruity notes. There is a sort of non-descript berry candy scent going on here; my nose can't really pick up on any one distinct fruit note aside from the initial acidity of the pineapple. The coconut water, however, gives the fragrance a fresh, almost sheer quality as it settles into the skin, before it ultimately becomes softer and fluffier a few hours into wear. I don't own the original Cloud or any other iterations, and I can't recall what the original Cloud smelled like when I tested it out, so I can't honestly say how it compares. However, I do vaguely remember that I ultimately selected Pink Cloud over the original because I found it to be sweeter and more girly. In my opinion, despite its fruitiness, I would not call this a tropical scent by any means, though I see many reviewers disagreeing with me on that; so you'll have to determine that for yourself. For me, though, the fluffy muskiness makes this fine to wear even in winter. This is a delightful and special scent for me; I currently only have it in the travel size, but will definitely buy the full size once I finish what I have!

It seems that this is a true love it or hate it fragrance by looking at the reviews below alongside some very snobby ones lol. For me it’s now one of my favourites. This is the only celebrity perfume I wear and as another reviewer has said below that we could be missing out by writing them off before trying. You would think cloud and cloud pink with the bottles would be aimed at teenagers but tbh I can’t imagine teenagers wearing them. I find them more grown up and extremely well blended perfumes. With notes such as moss, amber wood leans more grown up imo. I definitely don’t think the bottle suits the juice. Also this has the cloud DNA for sure and that is famously known for its nod to baccarat rouge and that is definitely not a teenagers perfume. I could never get on with OG cloud due to it starting to smell medicinal to my nose and a little too much masculine for me, but cloud pink hits the spot! I’m 42 and i love this! The longevity and sillage for me and on my skin is unreal You do have to be careful where you purchase this from because it is widely copied. I’ve been caught before with a fake, it was weak and smelled mostly of alcohol, (the real cloud pink is strong perfume right from the first spray) when I purchased it from an actual perfume store and compared them the difference of the quality in the perfume, packaging, the bottle and base is unbelievable. It makes me so angry 😡 So make sure you get the real perfume because if it’s fake it does literally last 5 minutes. The actual cloud pink has better performance than perfumes I’ve got that are double/triple the price. I do see that others have had problems with this but for me its quality is amazing. Also I see that someone had a problem with their bottle squirting out but mine sprays out like a beautiful mist. Like the Burberry her bottles. For me and my opinion I find it well blended, pretty, sexy, long lasting, great value for money, unique as I can’t think of anything else other than obviously OG cloud that smells like it. It’s a firm favourite in my collection :)

Another perfume actually on my wish list that was given to me at the same time as the Moschino Toy 2 Bubble Gum and in the same 30ml bottle but I guess that means this is JUST a little bit more lasting. Had the original Cloud earlier as I'd heard like everyone else that it was a clone of Baccarat Rouge 540, which my hurting wallet is yet to buy, and I enjoyed it even though it definitely felt cheaper and more synthetic than BR540 - which it is, so that's fine. But since I enjoyed it so much I also wanted to try out the other two Cloud iterations, and while I'm still to experience the Intense version I'm now well acquainted with this. It retains a lot of the original Cloud feeling with the very sweet and slightly synthetic feel, the very long skin-scent time on the drydown and few dreadfully useless enormous plastic cloud the glass bottle sits in. And from the drydown only, I'm not sure if I'd be able to tell the two apart. The difference lie in the opening, where this one, as the notes imply, give off some more fruity, berrier whisks than the original, but it's definitely not a day and night difference. If you have decided that Cloud by Ariana Grande is Your PerfumeTM️ but want to change it up a little bit but still feel safe, this is one way to do it. Otherwise I don't really know if I could recommend this OVER the original Cloud, as the difference is so limited and the demographic is the same. On a note on the demographic, however, it's kinda fun to me that I smell this (or, again, the original?) on tween girls on the town, but it also appeals to myself as a mid-40s year old man and my 80-year old mother, so there certainly IS something about it that works, especially as my mother claims she doesn't like sweet smells, but this is about as sweet as it gets, without being cloying. It's a nice scent. I'm still looking forward to be trying the Cloud Intense, but even more of course to eventually get myself a full bottle of Baccarat Rouge 540. But that's a story for another financial situation.

If original cloud were a 25 year old woman, cloud pink is her 15 year old baby sister. This is the more fruitier juvenile version. The opening smells like strawberries, the dry down is almost completely identical. It still smells like creamy whipped cream, just without the coconut. I can't smell any amber in this at all. The projection and longevity is the same. This is a woman's perfume. If you love fruity gourmand perfumes this is a safe blind buy. But I'm just bored enough from the original cloud, I have a full bottle of this an it's never going to be used again. This has more of a plastic/synthetic smell than original cloud. My grandmother used to wear Liz Taylor's white diamonds, just like many other traditionalist women at the time because it was so popular. I think in 50 years from now, millennials will still be buying cloud. There's just so many dupes out there that are similar it's insane.
