Mod Vanilla

I always passed on this at Ulta. Maybe because the bottle looks like a pet rock from outer space. But that was a mistake. When I finally tried Mod Vanilla, I fell in love. This is a fruity, musky, creamy, feminine vanilla that is easy to wear. Mod Vanilla wears close to the skin but it lasts a long time. She is an intimate scent but she is not a shy scent. If someone hugs you, they will smell her. This layers with everything. I have not found a combo that I disliked. Some suggestion I have are: Juicy Couture Glace, Floral Street Wonderland Peony, Bath and Body Works Wicked Vanilla Woods, Cheirosa 59. Because Mod Vanilla versatile, addictive, affordable, and now a staple in my collection, I rate her a 9/10. Mod Vanilla is very similar to 7 Virtue’s Vanilla Woods. Both are fruity vanillas with an intimate scent bubble. But I find the Mod Vanilla lasts longer and is sweeter. While Vanilla Woods has a woody and smoky base. Mod Vanilla is also similar to Cheirosa 40. Cheirosa 40 is leans tropical , projects more, and has a cigarette smell to it. They all layer together beautifully but my favorite of the three, is Mod Vanilla.

TRUST ME and when I say it I mean it - let your new bottle sit for a few months after spraying it a few times. This scent is just so beautiful and has now become my favourite everyday scent. I was so disappointed initially when I bought this but I'm so glad I waited for it to mature. It is now sweeter and bolder. This opens with a burst of sweetness and settles down to the most mouth-watering comfort mature vanilla. And someone below said the vanilla is like a warm gourmand vanilla and I so agree. it has some cloud DNA but no - mod vanilla is sweeter but also dense at the same time, she's juvenile but also mature. Cloud leans more musky and mod vanilla leans more well - vanilla but with a touch of musk. The vanilla in this is just so so beautiful and may be just in line to knock over my Kayali vanilla 28. Kayali is more woodsy and spicier but in terms of vanilla, both are very very good gourmand-rich vanillas. Actually, i like mod vanilla better since its sillage and longevity is better than Kayali. Lasts on my clothes forever and when I go outside, a good amount of sprays are enough to last me 6+ hours.

I LOVE mod vanilla so freaking much. mod vanilla and mod blush have been my signature scents for the past 2 years, since I first tried them on and instantly became obsessed. I love them on their own or layered together, but on their own Mod Vanilla is def my favorite. It's everything I want and like in a perfume. It's smells so good, clean, airy, vibrant, sparkly, fluffy, dreamy. It goes with all types of weather, places and moments. It's comfortable and intimate but also a little inviting - I get many compliments when wearing it on its own as well as layered with mod blush, and people usually compliment how easy and pleasant and unique it is, this cannot offend anyone! Really can't agree with it being similar to God Is A Woman. I have GIAW too and rarely reach for it - I find it TOO fruity, and I get tired of it easily. I do find Mod Vanilla shares something with Cloud, which used to be my signature scent before Mod Duo was launched - but Mod Vanilla is by far a much better perfume than Cloud.

I was really curious about MOD Vanilla. Owning both Vanilla Suede and Elphaba Enchanted, which I both adore, I was on the fence about getting MOD. I had heard numerous times that it is very similar to the Elphaba fragrance. Now that I have it, I can say that yes, there is some similarities between the two, which I think comes down to the plum and freesia top notes in both, perhaps the vanilla with these as well leads to the similarity claims. However, I would say this is less woody leaning than EE. It's a delightful vanilla, the musk is great and I think that it's not too heavy on the praline (which was my concern). Overall a sweet, soft and intimate vanilla fragrance in my opinion. As a male I'm finding my foray into feminine leading fragrances, and obviously Ariana's fragrances have been my gateway drug. I would absolutely purchase again.

one of the sweetest vanilla fragrances I've tried. 🤍 At first spray, it honestly reminds me of sugar water. It doesn't open with a lot of complexity. As it dries down, though, it becomes much prettier. The vanilla starts to shine, along with a soft lactonic creaminess and a light powdery finish that makes it feel much smoother. I personally don't pick up the floral notes, and I don't really get any fruitiness either. On my skin, it's all about sweet vanilla with a clean, cozy dry down. I think it's a beautiful scent, especially if you enjoy simple, sweet vanillas. That said, I can also understand why some people might find it a little generic. It doesn't feel like a particularly complex or layered vanilla. Overall, its an easy-to-wear vanilla that's sugary, feminine, and has a lovely creamy dry down.

a soft, creamy, cool vanilla bean scent. i don’t get any plum or freesia. i used to work at starbucks and it smells like the vanilla bean powder starbucks uses for their vanilla bean frappuccino. my nose gets a powdery marshmallow scent at times. this scent is so safe and inoffensive. it’s cozy, fresh, and pretty! imo, this is unique compared to most other vanilla perfumes. there’s something about the coolness that gives off a minty vibe? kinda like vanilla mint tic tac’s! sometimes i like to layer this with one spray of mod blush, they compliment each other well! even though the longevity is weak, i would still give it 8/10. it’s simple, lovely, and such an easy everyday reach!

this is my fave out of all the ariana perfumes I've tried so far! when you spray it first, it smells like soft florals. and a little musk is there too. it's not too strong at all which I love and then maybe 11⁄2 hours later you get the vanilla! it's a sweet and slightly creamy scent, and there are also notes of cocoa I wear this with a cocoa lotion and it smells soooo good! it would probably go well with a vanilla one too however it lasts for around 4 hours on me so if you're at school or something it won't be around the whole day. (I do 2 sprays on my wrists and other warm spots) sillage is slightly below moderate. and the bottle is hard to hold but looks pretty on a vanity

One of my favourite vanillas. I’ve had it for about two years now and I’m getting two backups soon. I know ppl say it’s typical but it’s so easy to wear and it feels so light. I didn’t realize it until now but it’s like a creamier vanilla version of cloud. At first I was underwhelmed until I realized how much I was actually reaching for it and how many compliments I was getting on it on the days I wore it. It’s a warm and cozy scent bubble and it’ll probably always be in my collection. I’m the type of person who always switches my perfumes around on a daily basis, but as I get older, I haven’t been doing that as often, but I always reach for this. It’s just really damn good!

So I have the body mist , cause it's such a strong fragrance that the perfume would be too much for me. On first spray it reminds me of a lot of deeper vanillas that you find in men's cologne. It also reminds me of a cross between cozy vanilla bourbon and sweet whiskey! After wearing today it's a lot frutier than I initially thought. I get a lot of the plum , but to me it's smelling like spiced apple. That's probably the freesia cause freesia smells like apples. For a body mist it's long lasting... I can still smell it on my clothes in the morning. I love this for fall and I'm happy that the fruit is more present!

This is my fav perfume Ari has released so far! It smells like cozy creamy marshmallows with a hint of chocolate ( which is probably from the praline and cocoa butter. ) This is probably her most gourmand fragrance imo. It does smell quite similar to cloud but only in the opening, but even then, the opening in mod is less musky. The plum in this is very light, and inna way it smells like strawberry pear to my nose. This lasts about 5-6 hours on my skin, and sillage is quite strong. This is overall a very pretty, sweet, cozy, and creamy scent. I would def recommend if you're a sweet gourmand vanilla lover ♥︎.

soft pillowy like a vanilla marshmallow cloud ☁️ i didnt notice the plum until i looked up the notes loll. but i would say that the plum eventually fades away as the perfume melts into ur skin so dont worry if u dont like the plum note. i really really love this fragrance, just bought another 100ml of it haha. its such a good everyday wear and signature scent, my girlfriend loves it on me too. the only thingg is that it doesnt last long :( otherwise, its the perfect balance between sweet vanilla and warm musk !! <3 p.s. any perfume recs that smell similar to mod vanilla? thankss!

Delicious, powdery raspberries & vanilla with such a creamy & sweet drydown. So soft & lovely. The fruit in this is listed as plum but my nose definitely gets raspberry. Blind bought this to compare to my beloved Cheriosa 40 & was pleasantly surprised. They are not identical to me, but I can see where the similarities are drawn. 40 feels slightly more fruity & even more edible, like a stack of waffles with warm fruit compote & whipped cream. Mod Vanilla gives that, but with less waffles, more powdered sugar sweetness. This is ADDICTING 🤍☁️✨

i love this!! the plum note and musk add the perfect amount of freshness that makes it so wearable and amazing for any season, it works great in australian summers! it's creamy and warm, whilst also having that freshness that cuts through, for some reason when i smell this i also picture vanilla frosting or fondant but not in a sickly way! this would honestly be the most perfect signature scent if ur looking for a vanilla u could wear every day of the year. one of my favourite vanilla scents :)

Love having this in my collection. Bling bought it at a very cheap price and I’m very happy with it. It’s fresh and clean smelling with a touch of sweetness. I don’t get this being overly sweet in the least - I find it to be quite the opposite actually. I think it could be worn year round with the exception of high heat and humidity. You can purchase this on discounted sites for a steal so it’s totally worth it. I do agree that it’s awkward to spray but it won’t stop me from a repurchase.

Mod Vanilla was my signature scent for a long time. I'm wearing it today for the first time since last spring, and I fell in love with it all over again! I've yet to find a cozy, musky vanilla perfume that I like more. While it's perfection on its own IMO, it's equally versatile and pairs well with a variety of other fragrances and lotions. My current favorite pairings this fall are Nutrius' Botanical Bliss body spray (SDJ 48/BR540-ish scent) or BBW's Vanilla Bourbon body cream.

̊˖𓍢ִ໋❀ This is such a good vanilla perfume! It's powdery and musky, as well as sweet and fruity. I mostly smell the vanilla, plum, musk and cacao butter. It's quite a 'clean' smelling fragrance, not incredibly gourmand. Oh, and it is veryyy similar to Cheirosa 40!! But I would say that Mod Vanilla is definitely on the muskier side, while SDJ is fruitier and more succulent. Nonetheless, I really like it and I think that it's one of the more refined fragrances from Ariana! ̊˖𓍢ִ໋❀

Modern, airy, cool-girl vanilla. Sweet, but not edible vanilla. Hint of white powder. Splash of plum. Clean/sexy body musk. Smells like you took a full shower (with white bar soap), lotioned (w/cocoa butter), powdered all over, wrapped your clean wet hair in a white fluffy towel, put your silk robe on, and went out on the balcony to smoke a cig. I get compliments on this and also told I smell like cigarettes. I'm not mad at it. I keep it on my shelf and think it's great.

One of my current favourites! I’m such a big fan of classic vanilla scents but this one is special. The muskiness, cacao butter and vanilla give it such a warm feel that makes me think of vanilla chai latte. A lot of people calling it fresh- which I don’t sense, it definitely gives me more mature vibe from the usual vanilla scents or Ariana perfumes. I can’t sense the plum personally but I fould definitely recommend this! Great for daily use or layering.

Im glad everything went good during the pregnancy and i wasnt birthed a snob who hates on everything thats not labeled as expensive,niche and never heard before. Because THIS baby right here is beautifull, the hype is real because its innofensive,crowd pleasing and sweet. The longevity and sillage is very good,After growing out of the “pure hyperealistic gourmand” scent profile, this juicy vanilla is like the perfect thing to Grab. Will always repurchase

I love this scent. It's the perfect vanilla. Not overly sweet or thick. It's airy and while I wouldn't say marshmellow, I can see why some might. I have the body spray as well in case i want a night time spray or two. It lasts about 4/6 hours for everyone to smell and until the next day I can still smell it. It gets compliments from women more than men and that's never a bad thing. The blend of notes is perfect and whimsical.

My fave (and best AG fragrance, imho)! I've repurchased this 5x now even with a collection of tons of vanillas because its just that damn good, its great in winter, its great in spring/summer. A beautiful clean vanilla signature and in no way whatsoever smells like 'pickles'- the only AG fragrance that slightly does is TYN og and its not 'pickle'- its a santal/sandalwood note that some ppl tend to grossly misinterpret

this is my favorite versatile vanilla. i wear this all year round, day and night. its a delicious light powdery, almost soapy vanilla, but in the best way i swear. its a tad fruity with the plum, which balances out the vanilla and doesn’t make it a suffocating gourmand. my only downside is the silage is not strong, very much stays on your skin and doesn’t emanate. very affordable and an extremely safe blind buy.

Officially a repurchase for me (100ml x2). I loved this fragrance so much when it first came out. Soft, airy, slightly vanilla but also slightly clean and not too overpowering. I blind bought Plush Vanilla thinking it would fill the space in my heart for Mod Vanilla, and it did not. So of all my fragrances, this one is in my favorites. So easy to wear and smells so cozy. To me this is what Cloud should’ve been.

As someone who loves a soft vanilla scent, this is absolutely gorgeous. It’s sweet and creamy without being overly cloying. The opening was a bit harsh when I first got it, but now I’m in love with the entire scent profile and it’s my current go-to when I’m in a vanilla mood. Honestly, trying to find another vanilla fragrance that hits every mark for me like this one has been a fruitless endeavor so far!

Wow!! I finally tried this one. I red lots of mixed reviews. I like it! It is a sweet, soft vanilla scent with a hint of plum. I don’t get why people say that this doesn’t smell like vanilla. It does!!! Yes, you can smell the sweet, sugary plum as well, but you can definetely smell the vanilla as well. Sweet, sugary vanilla with sweet plum. That’s it. Projection and longetivity is BEAST MODE!!

i loooove this perfume. such a nice vanilla scent that I personally think can fit any season. it’s not your usual gourmand or overly sweet vanilla, it’s a much more clean or elegant vanilla which I really enjoy. definitely much more affordable compared to other perfumes too! layers with so many scents with at least a note of vanilla really well, and just such an easy wear

This reads to me as a soft, cozy, and slightly airy vanilla, i normally layer this under moon milk by being frenshe, to create an interesting mix of vanillas, as moon milk is much warmer, i was wearing this the first time i got a compliment on how i smelled, so i might have a bias, but i would definitely recommend! (Just try a tester or a sample set before you buy!)

absolutely lovely vanilla, to me it just smells like smelling a box of vanilla sugar. i love combining this scent with other perfumes that have vanilla notes somewhere (like si, million gold for her, majaina sin,...) to accentuate the vanilla! great for winter and evenings (not for a hot summer day, because then it can become very overwhelmingly synthetic)

This is probably one of the best vanilla fragrances I’ve ever smelled, it’s so creamy and buttery, to me it smells like white chocolate with vanilla while it also has this juicy feeling that comes from the plum note, and considering I own the body mist, it lasts for a very good amount of time on my skin. Easily one of Ariana Grande’s best fragrances.

I love this fragrance and will buy it as long as I can. It is an easy to wear vanilla skin musk that is comforting and soft. It is inoffensive and as an RN I like to wear it to work. The musk is so beautiful on dry down. I also like to wear it to bed. My hubby says it smells like cotton candy. I agree! It's a love for me! Call me juvenile! Haha

Currently on my 4th 100ml bottle and i fall more and more in love with this every fall and winter. Its just simply a great vanilla, never cloying or migraine inducing, works in any season (but as I said above especially good in cool weather!) and has been/is a constant staple in my collection. Like a great pair of diamond studs, shes timeless!

my FAVVVVVV. if you like cloud you will loveee this!! i’m a fiend for musky or woody vanillas that are still sweet and gourmand and this is definitely it. i got the body mist as well and im definitely repurchasing another bottle of the perfume. (literally never have had to repurchase perfumes so that says a lot about this scent.) 🥹🥹

the most perfect creamy, musky, plummy vanilla scent...love it for colder weather. it is definitely synthetic, but i actually like that? i only wish it projected better on me + was easier to spray (atomizer is all the way on one side). despite this i douse myself in this as a sleep scent and it last ages on clothes

My favourite of Ariana’s perfumes. The vanilla feels warm and cozy, together with the plum it’s truly a great twist on a classic vanilla scent. Sprayed it once in store on my wrist and could smell it two days later. Will be switching out my Mugler alien goddess intense for this for the autumn-winter months.

I’m sure I will get a lot of disagreement with this comment buuut... This is a better vanilla than Kayali 28. And much cheaper. If you’re in the market for a delicious but adult vanilla gourmand I would pick this in a heartbeat over Kayali. Better silage and lasts way longer on the skin and clothes.

I would swim in this if I could Went to the store to test and buy mod blush, I had never smelled either of them before. I tested them both and left with mod vanilla the clear winner. I love how versatile it is, and it layers with almost anything beautifully. Reminds me of Kayali wedding silk santal

My absolute favourite fragrance. I love smelling like this and it lasts so good. Some of my friends have bought it as well after using mine. I dont think I'll ever get tired of it. Its not the most interesting perfume, its just sweet and pretty and I think it has a clean vibe to it as well.

I now have the body spray of this. I was about to put it back but I told myself when would I find this again for $9? So I just bought it lol don’t think I’ll get the full perfume since I have so many other perfumes that I prefer over this one but I’m glad I have it now. It smells nice!

i like it! although this is not a “vanilla ice cream” or a gourmand scent, this is a musky fruity vanilla. it’s clean and i love the plum note! and it dries down to be a powdery vanilla. it’s sweet but also not too sweet. i do see why this might come off as too powdery to some though.

a lovely fruity vanilla. i enjoy this on days i’m not really feeling a full-on, sweet gourmand, it pairs quite well with phlurs vanilla nectar. i feel the projection and longevity are quite weak, although i suppose that’s what makes it more likeable on more subtle perfume days.

Second review here. Bought a 30 ml of this a few months ago for test. Let me tell you I devoured this. Mod vanilla has been my comfort scent and warm blanket on hard days. A very warm and addicting vanilla cashmere scent. I will buy 100 ml for Christmas and have it as a staple.

mod vanilla is a soft sweet girly vanilla that wont leave you with a headache. This is a cozy vanilla that makes you wanna cuddle up and read a good book (with a warm beverage of course) I love this stuff, and layering with a vanilla lotion makes it even more yummy!!

It smells kind of like sdj 40 and cloud at first, but on the dry down I think it’s sweeter and creamy cupcake like. Sdj is more fruity to me.I think I’m nose blind to it after using it everyday, I swear it lasted long, but now I don’t smell it anymore so not sure.

The plum and freesia in this makes it fresh enough for summer. If you’re looking for a non spicy/cakey/cookie vanilla, this is a good one to try. Still might be too sweet for some though. My only bugbear is the bottle. Looks cool, but it’s so awkward to spray.

I loooove this one!!!! the lactonic notes should be higher it's one of the first things I smell. It's vanilla but there's a fruitiness to it and since Cloud and GIAW are my favourites this is gorgeous. Perfect for the winter mornings and evenings

LOVELY scent! It's soft musky vanilla. Very pleasant. The sillage is low, but it does last a long time, especially on clothes. Things I wore 3 days ago still smell like vanilla. It's a tame and inoffensive scent, great for school or the office.

Honestly pretty unique and very versatile vanilla scent. Gourmand. Used to smell this all the time on a friend and I simply love it. The start smells like rotten vanilla for me but I adore in what it transitions. One of my top ones! -M206

my first ari perfume and i love it! it’s a very clean vanilla, very yummy. it’s a very cozy scent that makes me feel so cute, and i think it’s perf for all seasons. only complaint is the bottle... cute in theory but a pain to spray.

For the price point, it is excellent. A fresh, soapy vanilla that’s easy to grab . Got a compliment the first time I wore it . It was within the hour, but it was still nice to get the compliment. I will see how the longevity is.

this is simply incredible. the plum opening is very interesting and the softness of marshmallows and vanilla is really addictive. the vanila is not heavy or cloying too. it feels like a hug. i think this suits everyone's taste.
