The reasons why I say that is when arianators think of "thank u, next", they come up with words like pure, pink, light lavender, calm, transparent, aesthetic vibes. " Thank u, next perfume" smells more like "Moonlight", or "Good night n go" Cause it smells straightly SWEET and doesn't have TRANSPARENT VIbes. It smells like MUSKY, COCONUT, MACARON, MILK COOKIES. And the song 'thank u, next' more smells like 'moonlight perfume'. Cause it reminds me of "Transparent pink water" Vibes. This perfume (thank u, next) is more like LESS WATERLY, INTENSE TYPE, THICK cream than 'moonlight' or 'sweet like candy' perfume. ¶ MY EXPERIENCE: Don't listen to people say this smells is like Pickles, or Too sweet. Imo, THIS SCENT IS SO CLASSY. Usually, perfume with sweet scents has tennage, cheap vibes. But This one is totally different. With MUSKY, WOODY, A bit of BITTERNESS, It smells so Luxurious. This perfume is like COMBINATION OF DELICIOUS APPETIZERS. It's the most delicious cookie in the world that would PERFECT FIT WITH AMERICANO. ➡ CONS: I let other girls test smells this perfume, but they don't rlly like it. First things first: while I don't agree that Thank U, Next smells like pickles, I understand why some people say that. This perfume opens strong with a sharp, crisp pear note; and when mixed with the initial scent of alcohol upon first application, it can create a sort of briny-sweet aroma reminiscent of dill pickles. However, as soon as the alcohol dissipates, Thank U, Next begins to transform. Each stage of this fragrance's evolution is lovely to take in. When I first spray it, I detect pear and rose, a powdery-sweet and freshly fruity combination. There is a tiiiiny hint of raspberry, but I think it is overshadowed by the other notes. As the fragrance settles on my skin, it turns musky and the coconut comes through. This is more of a candy coconut, not creamy - it reminds me of a tropical cocktail, hard candy, or suntan oil; not as much coconut milk or coconut body butter. Although it's more synthetic, I really enjoy the candy sweetness of it. The musk that comes through with the coconut really balances it, making it a captivating velvety confection. At dry-down, the final stages of Thank U, Next are mellow and sweet, which no sharpness or fruitiness. You're left with a sugary musk that is both soft and rich. I've tried all seven of Ariana's fragrances, and Thank U, Next is a favorite second only to Cloud. That coconut-musk is just a divine combination that feels really indulgent. It's versatile enough to work for a day or night fragrance. It's a flirty, sexy scent that definitely distinguishes itself - great for a party or date night, but it might be a bit much for every day at the office. It last 4-6 hours on me, and I think it has decent sillage. I can smell it on myself when I wear it, unlike most of Ari's other fragrances. If you're put off by the pickle comments, I urge you to give it a chance! I feel like half the people who say it smells like pickles were probably influenced by others comments and had the idea of that scent in their mind before they gave it a chance. Give it a few wears to see how it acts on your skin specifically, and try to avoid sniffing it immediately. You have to like SWEET scents to like this one, but if you do, I promise it's worth it! Now I need to go eat a pickle.

thank u next & ari will always be my fav ari fragrances, i always smelled ari growing up bc when it released my sister had it and she would overspray the heck out of it so it's super nostalgic for me :') anyway foward to 2023 we went on a mall trip i rmr smelling it and i couldn't pinpoint which fragrance it smelled like of hers but i just know it had exact dna from another fragrance and i saw some old posts of ariana comparing it to her of fragrance ari if it went to the beach, and that's literally what this is, just like ari it's super sweet, fruity, and gourmandish, just with an additional coconut + macaron note. this was my first fragrance that got me into perfumes so i may have some bias towards it but this has been such a staple for me and it's gotten me sooo many compliments, it's the sweetest fruitiest coconutty perfume ever. ik since it has a coconut note this perfume seems more fitted for summer but it shines so much in the cold , it turns super airy and sugary and musky. i wish people gave this perfume a chance and let it play out on their skin, i think ppl read reviews saying it smells like pickles that's the first thing they think of when they spray it, i will admit it's a little sour but it's that tart raspberry mixing with the coconut. i think you have to like super sugary sweet perfumes to like this. forever will be my fav tied with ari :')!!!! 🥥🍐

Ok so I got this perfume 5 years ago in 2021, and I used to wear it EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. Then everyone said that it smelt like pickles, which I guess put me off the perfume, so I forgot about it. Then last week I randomly remembered it, rummaged through my drawers and found it, started wearing it more often and now it’s like I’ve fallen in love with it all over again. Thank u next is a girly, creamy, flirty perfume which is probably aimed at a younger audience, as it’s so sweet and feminine. Imagine cloud but more fruiter and girly girl. This is clouds younger and prettier cousin. The notes that stick out the most to me are coconut and raspberry, the raspberry being tart and juicy, the coconut giving it a creaminess to the scent. There is a rose note but I can’t really smell that? I guess the coconut can smell like pickles to some people’s noses, but once you get behind the “pickle” smell, the perfume is actually really gorgeous. It’s a much more mature yet still sweet take compared to other Ariana grande’s fragrances such as Ari and sweet like candy. P.s this does smell identical to the SDJ 48 spray, so if you have both of these fragrances you can layer them so that it lasts longer! Or if you’re broke you can just get the 48 spray and it’s exactly like owning thank u next, just in a different bottle

Tested this out on myself yesterday in the shop and I loved it straight away. I didn't get any pickle smell at all. A fun sweet fresh fruity fragrance for sure, but not in a bad way. I didn't scream sickly sweet to me - I actually thought it had a fresh lychee note in it, which I now know as as the raspberry and pear combo. My Mum was with me as well and also liked it on first spray. I went out to get some fro-yo, a few bars and to see some friends later on the same day and could still smell it on me when I got home, which, again I'm not mad at. As a nearly 40 year old who leans more into Woody-ambre scents, I don't know what that says about me but I actually am contemplating getting this as a fun addition to my collection coz the sillage and longevity for the price point is such great value.

This is a weirdo that I love. I get no pickles (LOL) but the first time I sniffed this in body spray form, I became addicted to the strange combo of coconut, tart raspberry, and crayons! I see another reviewer got crayons so thank you, I don’t feel so crazy. (My son gets pickles from this- but he says “I like pickles so you’re good”🤣) Honestly, I love the scent of crayons 🖍️ and though i would not love to smell only of crayons as a solitary note, combining it with coconut and sweet-tart raspberry is bonkers! I taught kindergarten and it brings happy feelings to wear this bright, youthful scent. I now have the edp and am looking forward to the combos with tropical lotions for layering. It smells incredible with fresh cream lotion by Philosophy.

I have been wearing TUN almost every day for many years as my signature scent, I love it so much❤ It dries down almost like a soft raspberry rose macaron with a hint of coconut on me and it always feels so refreshing to wear. I am really sensitive to fragrances and it is a very intimate scent, not overpowering nor sharp, and I get tons of compliments! I know reviews are often mixed but I feel like it dries down so differently on skin so I recommend giving it a chance! My other favorite Ari perfumes are Mod Blush and Mod Vanilla if you like those you may enjoy TUN as it has a similar profile to Mod Blush with less musk and no spice, with a juiciness similar to GIAW. I find it so lovely. Also I adore the bottle, it's so cute!

I fell in love with this perfume in a drugstore aisle on a cold fall evening of 2019 and smelling it always brings me back to that time. It was my first Ariana Grande perfume and I have to say that her fragrances are right up my alley. To me this is a raspberry and pear scent, with a hint of floral. It is creamy, but I don't really smell coconut in it. It is quite sharp and chemical, with a relatively strong projection, not so much the scent itself but the sharpness of it, but delicious and girly nonetheless. It reminds me of Meow by Katy Perry, with more pink fruit. I do find it quite expensive for what it is, however, and although I love the bottle, I think it looks a little cheap.

This is my favorite Ariana Grande perfume, and I own them all. I actually like it better than Cloud, by far. It is extremely girly, sweet, coconutty. I get coconut and raspberries and cream. Delicious, sweet, girly perfection! Longevity and sillage are comparable to previous releases, so fair to poor. At the price point, I can afford to reapply as needed. I walked into ULTA just to sniff some new things today but not buy. After smelling a dozen new designer releases that left me underwhelmed and bored, I was so impressed with TUN that I walked out with it immediately!

This perfume is really good, it’s disappointing how some people dislike it because they think it smells like pickles. I personally can see why people say it smells like pickles and it actually does in the opening but it disappears shortly after and transitions into a very sweet smell that smells like coconut, raspberry and pear. This perfume is a compliment getter, if you’re in a supermarket it literally leaves a trail in the isles you walk in so the silage is insane and it is long lasting. People will compliment how sweet you smell! Score: 10/10

awww this was one of my first perfumes ♡ tun—both the perfume and the album— has such a special place in my heart. this fragrance is beachy, its flirty, it’s exactly what ariana described it as upon release. i will never understand why people say it smells like pickles. i still have my first bottle and she smells lovely! i’m nearly 21 now, so it does smell a bit more “childish” to my nose now, but i occasionally layer her with another perfume

i’ve had my bottle for 6 years and it’s become potent!!! the longer it’s sat the stronger it’s become and it’s 100% coconut and raspberry. i can see how people can get some dill (i smell dill w kayali rose oud) but once sprayed on skin and settled it goes away. this fragrance makes me happy and reminds me of summer 2019, some of my happiest memories are attached to this fragrance. i will always have a bottle in my collection 🥥🩷

It’s just enchanting. When I first got it I was just sitting and smelling it. And that’s how my love for Ariana perfumes started. This smell is haunting me, it’s super sweet and I don’t care and it’s just crazy interesting combination. And for real stop with the pickles, it never crossed my mind and I didn’t feel it even though so many reviews said it so I came back to sniff it to get that pickles vibes. But no. I love it.

Blissfully dreamy/tropical very feminine girly scent. I don't get any pickle (dill) from this. I do get pickle from other Perfumes so it's not like Sandlewood never smells pickle to me but not this one at all. If you love coconut you will love this scent, as long as it doesn't pull in the dill direction for you. Added bonus, it has great sillage and longevity. Has been my bedtime scent as of late.

smelt this as a tester both on paper and skin, i’m one of the lucky ones that doesn’t get any pickle smell from this perfume, when it was on paper it smelt really creamy and on my skin the coconut really came to life and smelt like a coconut ice cream. i can smell it on my skin 3 hours later and its dried down to a nice rose/coconut with a hint of musk.

Forget about all the pickle comments/reviews! Pickles are made of vinegar, garlic, dill & salt! This perfume does smell like fresh dill a little but very sweet! The dill note makes it very different. I think it’s a lovely perfume & no it does NOT smell like pickles! Another aromatic note that people are just not used to it!

@Maetel I've seen reviews of this from all over the world stating they smell pickles with this. It's not a USA thing. I'm from the US and have had this scent for a few years now & I've never gotten the pickle smell with it. But everyone's experience with a fragrance is valid. I'm just glad I can enjoy this scent. ;)

This is such a yummy fragrance. I’m not sure why, but to me the mixture of the notes blends into a banana-y vibe for me so yummy. It’s like when the banana is nearly perfectly ripe but is slightly firmer than perfectly ripe and there is a tartness to it! But it’s a sweet fragrance and it’s so yummy.

Thankfully I don’t pick up on any pickle scent no matter how many times I smell this 😂 to me it smells like fresh raspberries coconut and sweetness. This is so so amazing I’ve got to put this in my top ten favourite fragrances in my collection. The raspberry note is incredibly addictive.

The coconut is HEAVENLY !!! I owned this when I was much younger and finished the bottle but I always go back to smell it because my . god . it smells soooo good . Smelling it right now and thinking of buying it again ITS PERFECT GODD why does it smell so good

This is a super girly, sweet, yet sophisticated fragrance! It can be dressed up or down easily. It makes me feel like I just picked a bunch of raspberries out in a field and brought them into a bakery. Love it!

My little sister used to looooooove this perfume. Whenever her bedroom door was open, the whole hallway smelled like marshmallows and fruit. Personally, I've never had a pickle association with this perfume.

This is one of my favorite fragrances! It lasts long on my skin and lasts forever on clothes. It is very sweet and fluffy. I prefer to wear it in cold weather. It can get cloying if you spray too much.

This perfume has been a favourite of mine for years now and I will never get sick of it. If you like a sweet, creamy perfume I would highly recommend this to you as it is right for every occasion too!

Really sweet and warm scent. Very heavy on sugar...mainly macaron and raspberry note. The bottle is perfect for this perfume. This is my favourite Ariana Grande perfume.

This is sweet, fruity, musky gourmand deliciousness! As my second Ariana Grande perfume (first being "Cloud"), I am a happy camper. I forget how much I low-key love this until I spray it, and allow myself to deeply inhale the scent. The fresh pear is nice. Sweet, fresh, and uplifting without being heady. The raspberry is a personal favourite of mine. I *love* raspberry in perfume, and this is tart, sweet, and syrupy without being cloying. I love the tartness with the juicy sweetness. The rose and coconut together is a joy! Who knew they were a fabulous combination? I smell the coconut when I take one of those deep sniffs and it hits the back of my throat, and gives me a olfactory thrill. :) The rose is elegant, which is unexpected, but 100% welcome! The (raspberry) macaroon and musk base is another favourite. The macaroon gives a salivating bakery-sweet-crunch-with-delightful-goo scent, and the musk keeps it warm and intoxicating! The longevity on this is pretty amazing for a celebrity scent, and the sillage is awesome. Even my husband recognises this after I spray out of his eye-line (although his perfume-note recognition skills are...wild). Despite all my praise, it's still second to "Cloud" for me. Only because this is quite juvenile. I love it, but you have to be in a youthful mood, and pick your crowd to wear it in. *** Kitty rating: 8.5/10. It's one of the fragrances you recognize instantly. It does smell like dill and pickles on some people, so it's good to do a wear test on your skin before buying. I used to HATE it passionately until I tried it on my skin. On me it smells exactly like it's supposed to (obviously after the rancid dill/pickle opening) - raspberry macarons with musky coconut and a hint of roses. Very creamy and sweet, but in a heavy way. Fills up any room you walk into and last long. At some point I got sick of it but I tried layering it with VS Bare Vanilla and that's when it really stared shining. I feel like it helped to tone down the artificial coconut+pear combo that's causing the pickle situation and brought out the sweetness and creaminess. The combo got me an insane amount of compliments, might start wearing it again in time for winter cause I feel like for other seasons it's just too strong. The bottle is beautiful and it last really long! I'm halfway through the 50ml bottle I got 2 years ago (and mind you it was my signature scent for MONTHS).

I honestly never know what people are talking about when they say they smell pickles in any fragrance. It is nice, it’s better to me than god is a woman but not better than the rest of her fragrances. There is a weird dusty smell in the beginning which I believe is coming from the rose and the musk, but that settles down and you get a subtly citrusy/raspberry coconut that is very pleasant. It smells almost exactly like cheirosa 48, previously bikini season, (which also gets the pickle comments) and they both have an after smell that I can’t quite describe, it’s almost savory smelling but I don’t find either to be pickley smelling. It’s more like hot butter? I’ll try to find layering combos in order to use this, but I wouldn’t repurchase. Bummed because this is the cutest bottle

Once someone brings up the pickle smell, you can't erase it from your mind and then the pickle is the only thing you can smell. I originally liked this fragrance, but the reviews from other people made me NOT want to wear this out in public because I didnt want OTHER people telling me I stink like vinegar pickles. An amazing alternative is Beyond Romance by Ralph Lauren. It is a fruity raspberry scent that is the epitome of TUN but without the coconut. Beyond Romance did the raspberry/rose combination better than TUN because their rose is smoother. The rose in TUN is what draws attention to the pickle smell. However, I have to give this fragrance credit for having the same incredible projection and longevity as cloud. The bottle design is cute and simple as well.

Simple, sweet, cheap; it smells light and coconut marshmallowy. I might give it to my son’s girlfriend. I got a set for $15, marked down the day after Christmas. Smells simple and youthful, it could be office/teacher/daycare safe but I’m saying that as someone who wears some real bangers & vintage perfumes. No pickles detected. Upon wearing it further and using the body gel, lotion and perfume, I’m just really not getting much from it except synthetics and coconut. To each his/her own, I’m just confused by the positive reviews as I don’t get much scent from this at all. I just don’t smell much. Synthetic, sweet, plastic and coconut (but not a baby dolls head plastic which I like). I enjoy cloud intense and Ari, so this was a disappointment for me.

Such a girly sweet youthful fragrance! It’s not for my demographic and I usually do not care for overly gourmands but this is, how do I say this, ... Cute! (In my highest pitch voice, haha) Fluffy pink sweaters and lace trimmed ankle socks, and a hefty dose of super shiny pink lip gloss and a high ponytail kind of cute! I don’t smell pickle juice at all but I do smell a synthetic coconut. However it’s not unpleasant. This is the perfect scent for middle school girlies up to high school. It’s energetic and bubbly and adorable! Too youthful and sweet for me but I’m sure my neice will love it!

I like this! I’d say it’s a very unique scent that I haven’t found anywhere else, personally I smell piña colada, leaning more towards coconut, it’s also clean and soapy which is probably the rose and musk in this, I don’t get any pickle LOL 🩷 I used this A LOTTT when it first released and I loved it, sometimes I’d overspray and it was a little nauseating. but it was still a tolerable scent for me <3 the bottle is super cute too but I’m not a fan of the cap at all, it’s a little pointy which makes it inconvenient to open 🥲 I wouldn’t recommend this as a blind buy!

The claim that this perfume smells like pickles most likely comes from the fact that these reviews come from Americans, who commonly consume pickles. Personally, I'm French, I don't smell pickles at all, unless I'm really looking for it. So, please stop saying that this scent stinks like pickle, you're ruining it for others. Your experience is too specific to claim that universally this scent smells like pickles juice. It's not a universal fact. Respect the plurality of truth about perfumes, very strongly linked to our personal experiences. Thank you. 🥲

When I first smelled this, i absolutely loved it. It’s a fruity, sugary, coconut and was one of my fav in the Ariana collection. However, I have recently started to get a very prominent dill note in the top. People are saying pickles, but there is no pickle scent. Pickles smell sour and vinegary. I believe the scent they are referring to is specifically dill and they are just conflating the 2. I’m unsure of what accord is causing this dill note. It’s very strange. Either way, the dry down of this fragrance is still amazing and I love it.

This perfume basically smells like some kind of sweet, gooey pink marshmallow, without the dust. It's not powdery at all. There's a little bit of fresh mint or palo santo in there, and also a slight pickle smell that makes it smell like strawberry scented plastic dollhead. The pickle smell doesn't bother me. It just adds a bit of depth to the perfume. Not sure why a lot of people don't like this. It seems the least synthetic and screetchy out of all of Ariana Grande's perfumes. On me, this smells like a hybrid of different fragrances by Jérôme Epinette, which isn't a bad thing for me. I get: sandalwood and vanilla from Poets of Berlin (which smells a lot like Wild Vanilla Orchid), raspberry blossom and vanilla from Wonderland Peony and musk from Sundazed. I also get some pear (inspired by Quentin Bisch and Sonia Constant's La Belle) and a bit of macaron and musk from (Beyoncé's Heat) and Lollipop Splash Vision of Love. I like this, but.... it smells very familiar to others....

I don't think this smells like pickles honestly people are exaggerating. in the bottle maybe it has a bit of a herby or sour undertone but on my skin it find it smells like a very sweet coconut soap with some rose water. it's very long lasting and strong, so I think it can be a bit sickening for some people. it reminds me of barbie island princess, definitely a summer scent. it's pleasant but not something I wanna wear very often, there's a time and a place for sure 🥥🌸🌊

I probably already reviewed this years ago when I got the perfume, but I just bought the body mist spray, and WOW, she's strong. It's almost as strong as the perfume. I get scaled back raspberries and marshmallow fluff, no rose to speak of, maybe some oakmoss at the base. I'm way past the age demographic for this, but I wear what I like. I'm 58 soon, and I love a good sweet perfume. I wish all body mists were this strong, this one is beast mode.

Im trying so hard to get the pickle scent but I just cant smell it. To me it smells exactly as described. A really pretty sweet raspberry coconut with macaroon almondy undertones. If youre worried about the pickle smell i recommend testing it in person but dont let it put you off as I seriously cannot detect a hint of pickle. Maybe mine was mixed different or maybe our pickles smell different in new zealand. Im surprised how much I like it.
