I picked up a sample of Friday a while back after seeing some rave reviews for Saturday but being wary of overly sweet gourmand notes -- I have a much better sense of my preferences now and Sunday is on the wishlist but I think Friday will always be my favorite of the line, and probably a favorite of all time, because it was the first time a fragrance kicked up an olfactory memory I didn't even know I had. For me, Friday is summer in Virginia, the suburbs outside DC, a gorgeous combination of my childhood backyard with its thick woods and honeysuckle bushes and the local pool on a weekday, from the surrounding trees to the smell of the water, even the women's showers there. It's believing they kept sharks behind the grate at the bottom of the deep end because some older kid told me so. It's walking home barefoot with a sandy towel over my shoulder and stopping to feel the lambs ear planted in the corner house's yard. It's a fragrance that connects me to a version of myself I didn't think I could feel close to anymore and whenever I put it on I feel so lucky. I only learned the Arielle Shoshanna store was in Fairfax, VA after experiencing Friday and it felt so kismet, having been raised in a neighboring town and the way the scent flung me back there even though I've been gone a long time with plenty of life between me and the girl I was then. The next time I visit family down there I'll absolutely be wearing Friday to take a long walk on the W&OD trail, listening to the mix CD my dad made me.

Arielle Shoshana has created yet another beautiful scent story in Friday. Markedly different from Saturday and Sunday but a perfect companion to an already complex and artfully crafted line. Where Saturday is tropical, punchy, and juicy, Friday is bright, tart, and effervescent- a burst sparkling citrus and pear, mixed with the most gorgeous and lightly sweet honeysuckle and grapefruit blossom. A hint of that cedar comes in at the dry down too, which adds a lovely grounding element that's not too heavy. For a light, citrusy floral scent, I actually find the longevity quite impressive, I can still smell it ~4 hours after application. Friday doesn't remind me of a wild night out in my 20s, rather my ideal Friday as a 30 something- sitting outside with friends, the air is hinting that spring is near, honeysuckle starting to bloom, and fizzy citrus cocktail in hand. I love all of the Arielle Shoshana perfumes but Friday has stolen my heart and become one of the most reached for scents in my entire collection. Also, I agree with the previous comment, I'd be over the moon if Arielle Shoshana made a perfume for each day of the week!

I've had two sample sizes of Friday at this point and as I'm reaching the end of my second sample, I'm brought back to how neutral I was on this scent when I was finishing my first sample of it. How wrong I was! I might be using the money I get from family this holiday season to buy myself a full size of this after all. I've been desperately on the hunt for an interesting yet clean, appropriate for the office scent. This is the It Girl fragrance I've been searching for and its so unique I can ensure people will ask what I'm wearing. I will usually pair it with a cucumber melon body lotion/body spray if I have it around, just to really drive home that cool fruity element, but it shines bright on its own. I don't really get much of the citrus smell in this, but it definitely has a light sweetness from the pear that gets rounded out by those creamy white florals and white cedar. Last time I was doing a trial of this fragrance it was late spring and I just couldn't get what I needed out of it, but now as the winter approaches and the sun is hard to come by, I find myself clawing for this little bottle of sunshine.

I’ve sampled the entire Long Weekend line, and this one and Saturday were my favorites. Friday is pretty, very nicely balanced between the white florals and the crispness of the citrus notes. The honeysuckle in particular stands out to me which is nice, I love honeysuckle. Now that I think of it, this does remind me of Aerin Mediterranean Honeysuckle, but I think I actually prefer this one. It does feel a bit like a “designer” scent profile, and is probably the most “designer-y/mass-appealing” out of the lineup. Saturday was the full bottle I picked after testing (because it stood out to me as slightly more unique), but I may pick up this one as well. My brief thoughts on the others in the line: Monday - soft black tea and citrus, nice but not unique if you’re into tea fragrances. Tuesday - minty freshie, nice but just not my preferred fragrance profile. Sunday - cooked rice steam and nothing else, this was a disappointment and a “dislike” for me. Saturday - bright and cheerful passion fruit, reminded me of a fruity summer cocktail, chose this as my full bottle due to the uniqueness of the passion fruit note.

A strong start to the long weekend. Zesty and bright. Very lemon-lime. It’s a crisp bottle of small-batch soda – fizzy, tart, upper case citrus, lower case floral. A vivid lemon verbena takes the lead, but its edges are softened by honeysuckle petals. Pretty high-fidelity scent for a sunshine citrus; I got at least five hours. It’s also a reincarnated lost love of mine: Coach Legacy, the scent-track to my senior year, but more potent and acidic. Friday has a sweetness that almost bites. A smile is just a baring of teeth, no? But I love the sharpness to it, and something about that citrus-honeysuckle combo hits so good. I’m not a regular weekday. I’m a cool weekday. Mental Snapshot: Opening credits to a teen romaticomedy, or an indie bildungsroman. School’s out for summer. Zipping through the burbs with the top down. Kiss assault from a golden retriever. Solo cups of spiked lemonade. Forget glass half-full, it’s practically overflowing. If you dare pout, they’ll push you in the deep end and flog you with a pool noodle. tl;dr: summer seltzer 🔆🥏

At first sniff I thought this was just pretty. But the more I wore it, and kept smelling it, the more I truly enjoyed its scent story! It is such a beautifully blended honeysuckle fragrance that will remind you of warm spring sunshine. It has the perfect amount of sweetness without being a gourmand. The sparkling and joyous supporting notes of bergamot, pear and other soft florals are really quite pleasant and uplifting. I'm not a huge fan of sweet pea in fragrance, so I'm pleased that it is really subtle and not harsh at all in Friday. Sunday is still my favorite by Arielle Shoshanna, followed by Saturday, and then Friday, but they are all full bottle worthy to me. I do wish Friday projected a bit more, and lasted just a bit longer, since it's a beautiful and easy to wear fragrance. I secretly hope Arielle Shoshanna goes all out and makes a perfume for each day of the week. Plus, the bottles are pure pop art fun!

Friday smells exactly like the first nice day coming out of winter, when everyone pretends that 60o and sunny is perfect for a picnic. Walking home from the park at golden hour and stopping by the gelato place that just reopened for the season. You get lemon sorbet, of course. Tart, sour, fresh. Walking home, you smell the beginnings of flowers blooming. The whole world is awakened to spring The opener is INTENSE. I was scared for a few minutes, but it quickly shifted into a pleasant and perfectly tart citrus. The evolution to sweetness is masterful, the florals slowly edging out the bergamot and orange and fading to a perfect honeysuckle. I bought the long weekend set, and this is DEFINITELY in contention for a full bottle!! I can't wait to try the rest :)

The first spray was alcohol and I immediately panicked as I begged her to sell me a bottle off of the notes listed but without ever sampling. But the second spray and I was transported back to walking the dirt roads at my grandparents home in Alabama. The beautiful honeysuckles we would feast on lingering with all of my grandmas beautiful prize winning gardens and gorging on yummy pears that we shook the tree for. I loved it and the amazing customer service Arielle shows means I'll add the remaining bottles to my collection soon.

I bought the Long Weekend sample set because of all the hype around Monday, but Friday is my favorite. Tart, juicy citrus meets sweet, delicate pear, balanced by a bouquet of soft florals. The honeysuckle and sweet pea notes are amazing and the strong grapefruit blossom opening is so energizing and vibrant! Friday feels like springtime in the park. I’ve tried many citrus/floral perfumes, but Friday stands out—it's truly distinctive. I can't stop smelling my wrists when I wear it. Absolutely in love with this beauty.

This is such a bright, happy fragrance. The honeysuckle really gives me summer vibes, and it stays fresh and not too sweet or cloying with the pear and orange. It’s nothing too crazy, but also doesn’t smell exactly like a lot of other critics scents, it’s kind of the perfect mid ground between being too weird and too predictable. It’s not super strong, I wish it projected a little more but after finishing my sample I’m definitely considering buying a full size. Plus I just love the bottle designs from this company

I finally got a sample of this and I really like it! A very cheerful floral citrus spritz. For me it really hits the spot in the dry down - still fresh, but there’s a slight musky creaminess (I suppose from the cedar) that makes it feel like one of those expensive, triple milled, Provençal soap bars. I also think this would make a great gift for someone in their teens or early 20s who’s interested in fragrance and might like something a little different and niche :)

Beautiful and unique! A unique fresh-floral-slightly fruity scent. I get a lot of grapefruit and honeyed flowers on the opening of Friday. There's a note that smells almost like melon to me (perhaps the pear?), balancing the brightness of the citrus. It gets creamier as it dries down and the wood notes come in. Unfortunately I just dropped my sample bottle and it shattered, which has me thinking it might be time to buy the full size...

I used to wear B&BW Sweet Pea all through middle school. This reminds me why I loved that scent so much. Sweet from the fruit, creamy from the white florals. I can read each listed note, though they blend together beautifully. Honeysuckle is the star. If you love sweet pea but want something with more complexity and a honeydew twist, this is it.

Shes so pretty! Light and airy and citrusy, like a fresh start. The notes are masterfully blended, with none standing out and stealing the scene from another. The florals are beautiful together. It reminds me of the transition from spring to summer. I adore her.

Oh Friday, you beauty. Fresh and bright, love this fragrance, highly wearable. Friday is the optimistic headset for the weekend, every day of the week. I look forward to the debut of Monday this fall.

I adore this! It smells so uplifting and bright. It's my favorite of the three. It's not overly sweet or bitter. Just a really well balanced and authentic citrus. I want to always have this on-hand.

there’s something super fresh, almost minty and aquatic to my nose?? It reminds me of a more floral version of citron fig from clean, really pretty refreshing fragrance!!

To me, I get honeysuckle immediately. Maybe a little azalea. That's a really nostalgic scent for me, so I really enjoy it.

Upon first spray I notice a bit of a sharp green note that smells like sweet pea and fresh cut grass. This scent smells energetic but pretty. It reminds me of walking around the park and having a picnic. It is not a sweet fragrance but it is smooth and not tart or spicy in anyway. It is a beautiful green scent that is quite unexpected. I do not picture this as any kind of Friday, but I wish mine was like this! It gives me the feeling of optimism and a fresh new start. This scent strangely reminds me a bit of Cow from Zoologist. I feel like all the notes harmonize quite well. It also gives me cottage/fairy core vibes as well. I am very much a gourmand girl, but I am falling for this scent in a very unexpected way. I can’t wait to try the rest of the “long weekend”. 💕

Recently received Arielle Shoshana’s “Top Five” discovery set—what a line up! Friday, however, is something I have smelled before. If you can get your hands on a bottle of Versace’s Versense at a Marshalls or something, I’d suggest that route especially on your wallet, because the dry downs between these two are nearly identical to me. To my nose, the main difference is in the opening: Friday’s citruses and bouquet combine to a neroli-esque accord upon first spray. Still really pretty and light and fresh, but it is barely there. After 2-3 hours on my skin, I need to put my nose to the inside of my elbow and breathe in rather deeply to detect it.

One of the commenters below me who said that this could be an Acqua Allegoria scent is dead on. I get an initial spray of lemonade-y honeysuckle. The dry down is cedar, crushed green leaves, and a hint of bitter orange and white floral. I wasn't really expecting to like this, but I enjoy how it's playful without being juvenile. The smell is like phases of walking through a garden—first the citrus orchard, then the flowerbeds, and then a grove of trees. I would definitely consider getting a decant of this.

I don't pick up on a ton of the citrusy scents that everyone else can! Don't get me wrong, it's light and fruity like sunshine in a bottle, and can translate well to day or night wear, but it's not in the same range as something like under the lemon trees. It definitely has more of a classic floral/powdery "perfume" note to it.

Happy juicy scent with lots of light citruses and slight sour fruits. This scent reminds me of red currant somehow. But it’s definitely very cheerful, so it matches with the “Friday mood” :) Base is soft and a bit sweet; with lots of clean musks. Follow me on IG: scent.guide

Citrus opening fresh and invigorating.... But that’s it... after 15 minutes I can’t smell this. If this lasted it would be very nice refreshing summer scent but for 175$ for 50ml I would have to say no. If you like a very faint scent you will probably like this.

Cool, sparkling, fresh. Like a tall iced lemonade & a hint of mint? Tart and refreshing, definitely good for a hot summer day. Has a vintage quality, in a good way. Vibrant and surprisingly long lasting.

Starts off almost note for note identical to lemon flavored Italian ice for me and then eventually dries down to a gently woody, cedary sweet pea. Makes me think of early summer in Brooklyn.

I pick up a lot of the citrus and honeysuckle, makes me yearn for a summer picnic. it's bright and lovely but I don't find the performance and scent memorable enough for the price point

really pleasant - definitely a spring scent, shampooey and well blended. not looking to get a full size but this is totally a crowd pleaser

very strong and intense citrus

Strong zesty citrus, somewhat reminiscent of Lemon Pledge in the opening. The citrus is the whole fruit, including rind. I don’t think I get bitter orange or bergamot, closer to lemon. Dries down to faint honeysuckle, vaguely other florals, and a smidge of vegetal note. With similar citrus on top and honeysuckle drydown, Aerin’s entire line of Mediterranean Honeysuckle is much nicer. My partner also said meh for Friday. Not the best but not the worst from this line. So far, my favorite is Monday.

The initial spray is a bit harsh and alcoholic, then I get grapefruit and some floral soapiness. It smells a lot like PEZ candy at this stage. After about an hour the citrus fades and I get more of a clean, fresh from the shower type of scent. I think this is a very easy-to-wear fragrance and I can see the appeal of it, but at the same time there's nothing that really makes it stand out. For a niche brand at a higher price point, I'd like to see something more interesting.

A garden party in a bottle! The opening is a fresh lemon verbena, then the honeysuckle starts to develop. The scent is reminiscent of blooming daphne. The notes smell extremely natural, by which I mean, it smells exactly like walking through a country garden during a warm spring day--you can almost feel the grass beneath your feet! I personally think this would be the perfect fragrance to wear to a garden wedding or a picnic. Lasts 4-6 hrs on skin.

mimosa, honeysuckle, and pear make this a beautiful floral fragrance! while i don't typically lean towards florals, this one doesn't lean as aggressively so given the cedar and bitter orange notes. this is what i would spray before heading out on a picnic on a friday afternoon; warm weather will definitely make this fragrance shine! not FB-worthy for me, but i absolutely see the appeal

Absolutely hated it on initial spray (it was very bitter but I didn’t really get any citrus), but it dried down on me to a kind of powdery, soapy sweet pea/honeysuckle scent that’s... fine. I got it as part of the sample set and wouldn’t buy a full size, but I could see someone liking it

my least favorite in the line. but! there is a nostalgic quality. smells exactly like girly 90's magazines (cosmo, marie claire, etc.) to me!

I love Arielle Shoshana but I am not a fan of Friday. This was soapy, migraine-inducing, and lasted forever. Disappointed because everyone else has such wonderful things to say about it - guess this just doesn't work well on my skin.

zesty & exciting, but the honeysuckle provides a weight that almost brings it down. there are aspects of this scent i like, but there’s a burnt-plastic-y undertone that i can’t get over. like if a bottle of sunscreen melted.

I love Arielle Shoshana but I am not a fan of Friday, this is not good on my skin, after 30 seconds of the spray all I could smell was cat urine, it did get better once that initial spray faded a bit

Smells exactly like a cleaning product to me. Has an extremely sour lemon note like Windex. I get some Bergamot on the dry down but if you are looking for a light citrus this is not the right choice in my opinion.

I received a sample of this fragrance back in November from the brand. First, Arielle Shoshana herself is the sweetest woman ever. Second, this fragrance is beautiful. I expected something deep, wild, and fun. Something that would remind me of a crazy fun Friday night. It’s still fun, but not in the way you’d expect! The review under me said it’s a Friday night in your 30s rather than 20s and I couldn’t agree more. Its a very sophisticated Friday night. It’s sparkling and fresh, very easy to wear. And while it’s easy to wear, the scent story is still very unique. I haven’t smelled anything like it, which is why I did not recommend a similar fragrance above. Like Saturday and Sunday, the longevity is insane. If the weekend were a trilogy, this would wrap the story up nicely. Fingers crossed, she gives us a fragrance for everyday of the week.

Lovely sparkling bergamot, a touch neroli herbal, but just a touch, not too sweet and a little fresh spring floral (honeysuckle) but mostly citrussy. There is something a touch soapy about it however not too much - lovely enough for me to use up my decant in the summer months if I'm temporarily out of my go to citrus 003 bon perfumeur. Lasts a bit longer than your usual cheapie citrus, drydown is mostly neroli (bitterish floral citrus) and zest. Eventually this turns quite (yellow) tropical on me - must be the pear and fresh spring florals combining. Very wearable!

I was so excited to finally get my hands on a sample of Friday, but was ultimately disappointed. It starts off pretty screechy the first hour or so, and finally dries down to something a little nicer, yet still smelling very juvenile. Bitter orange is just not the note for me. But I find it’s trying to be guerlain orange soleia and just coming up short and smelling cheap. I think the price for the full bottle of this is way too high and I’d much rather invest in a more elevated version of this for the same price.

Frustratingly stunning. I've been searching for a tea scent and yet my favorite of the collection is farthest from what I was looking for. Friday is almost hard to describe. It's somewhat fruity but mature, sophisticated without being too serious or predictable. The citrus actually wasn't very strong on me (thank God) aside from the immediate spray. As soon as it hit my skin, it transformed into something delicate and down to earth. I finished off the sample bottle so quickly.

Out of all the long weekend scents I've tried, Friday is my favorite. In the opening I get a tang of citrus, but I smell sweet pea and honeysuckle mostly. When I was first trying this scent I was out on my porch basking in the gentle spring warmth and took a nap. I woke up to the comforting smell of fresh laundry and an open blue sky. As the description reads, Friday isn't hype-optimism. It's gentle and free optimism.

Very fresh and uplifting. Citrus rind, petit grain, neroli and jasmine. That is what I perceive. I could be an Aqua Allegoria scent, it is somewhat similar to Nerolia Vetiver but fresher, more transparent. A bit soapy. This is a skin scent.

Opens very sour citrus. It reminded me of a cleaning product. The dry down though was a pretty honeysuckle floral skin scent that lasted several hours. If you can work past the opening you get to something pleasant.

A bitter sparkling citrus with a clean fresh dry down - the best way I can describe it is a glass of sparkling water with cucumbers and zesty bitter orange slices, one of my favorites.
