Club de Nuit Untold

How is Untold SIMILAR and DIFFERENT from the original Baccarat Rouge 540 edp? Overall Untold is seen as an exceptionally good clone of BR540 for the price and volume, there's simply no doubt! However, there ARE differences between the two, so I decided to make a comprehensive post in hopes of assisting others for an even more informed purchase decision: 1. Obviously Untold can't be "of the SAME quality" as the original BR540 because of the price difference--ie. presently about $45 vs. $350 respectively, by volume. The original's note quality, blend and composition etc. must inevitably be perceived as superior, at least to some degree. That said, as a clone fragrance Untold is of fairly respectable quality overall. 2. Similarly, because various "aroma-chemicals" are used even more prevalently to make many relatively inexpensive or high-performance clone fragrances, Untold is primarily a synthetically created fragrance, thus notably best smelled "in the air" rather than close up on skin. 3. Untold smells of alcohol especially during the open, similar to BR540's open. (Yes, it's true). 4. Untold--the way it's composed--is a straight-down-the-middle Unisex fragrance (as indicated by the voting above), as opposed to BR540 which leans feminine--by its voters. 5. Overall Untold smells remarkably similar to BR540 in the air--but is subtly "changed to Unisex"--due to the following compositional nuances: a. Untold's "cotton candy" aura is darker (BR540 smells lighter, airier and sweeter, according to BR540 wearers). b. Untold smells somewhat woodier (w/more balsam fir resin), but still incredibly smooth. c. Untold is both a touch spicier and metallic than BR540. d. There's less of the Latex Rubber vibe in Untold, but it's still there and noticeable. e. (The florals seem equally and wonderfully present in both fragrances). 6. Both fragrances have EXTREMELY good performance in sillage (airiness), projection, and longevity. But because of their exceptional performance, many will go "nose-blind" to both fragrances, as indicated in their numerous comments. To avoid or diminish this if you are affected, spray the fragrance behind your ears, in your hair, and/or on your wrists--but NOT on the front side of your neck or chest where the fragrance can waft directly upwards to your nose and cause this issue. The "average" reported longevity is about 8 to 9 hours for Untold, with many experiencing much more than that. Based on the voting above, nearly 90% either LOVE or LIKE Untold, with the vast majority loving it. Similarly, most here personally experience it as a 90% to 95%+ accurate clone of BR540--with the majority being in the higher range. Although truth be known, few if any will even recognize a difference when they smell it around you in the air! Since it's unisex, women will STILL greatly enjoy it (per their numerous positive comments here). BUT if she or he only desires BR540-type quality, and/or a composition which leans feminine, Untold may well not be for them. Yet ultimately many more men will now be able to wear and appreciate the essence of BR540, with Untold being unisex. All to say nothing of the exceptional price-to-value ratio of this fragrance! Lastly, it's probably best to try/sample Untold before you buy it due to its price, nose-blindness, and the relatively unique nature of BR540. (Thank you for hanging in for this LONG post!).

Another polarizing scent in the Club de Nuit line. Not sure what more I can say that hasn't already been said a thousand times before? On initial application, you really don't smell anything. I think I (like many others) am noseblind to the scent. As it settles down on your skin, you begin to smell it. Unless people give you feedback, you really have no idea just how potent it is? A little dab will do ya'. Too many sprays (specially around the face and neck) is headache-inducing. Lasts all day (a good 10-12 hours) on skin. Lasts forever on clothing. Very strong projection at first, but calms down. Pretty linear throughout. Not too complicated to my nose. As the day goes by, it becomes softer and more pleasant. As for the scent, I like it. I can honestly say it's pretty unique in terms of me not having anything else in my collection that is similar. Unisex, but leans masculine. Definitely a fall/winter/spring scent. Stands out in formal settings. Might be a bit much for the office, though I have worn it to work. Go easy on the sprays if you do, and apply first thing in the morning so it calms down before you arrive. A 30-45 minute commute also helps! By lunchtime and towards the end of the day, it's heavenly. Typical Armaf CDN firehose atomizer, which I love. One spray is 2-3 sprays from other fragrances, so be careful; it's easy to spray on a lot! Not for everyone, so try before you buy! If not this, then the OG or one of the other BR540 clones. See if the DNA agrees with your nose and unique body chemistry. I recall this being in the mid-$30 price point, so a little pricey for a failed blind buy if it doesn't work for you. Layer with CDN Intense Man if you're so inclined. Not too bad!

There's no point in describing Untold notes thoroughly because anyone into perfumes will know what this is about. Among the things that differ from what I've read in reviews, I feel it's too rarely described as salty-woody adhesive machine oil and too often as some kind of sweets or dentist smell, which surprises me as a veteran of hospitals. The sharper, almost fuel-like aspect gives it a colder and industrial personality. Untold is clean in the way a laboratory is clean, not in the laundry way. The drydown is where it becomes even clearer: less fuel at the top, more salty ambergris and resinous cedar dust. Longevity and power are both extreme. You definitely have to learn how to smell it, enjoy it, and appreciate it. At first, when I received it, it felt weakly noticeable, but I understood that it was nose blindness. The first impression can be misleading. The bottle looks like spilled fuel, which suits the scent. An interesting point is that the oily residue in the cap never matches the actual smell. Extra-polarizing synthetic diffusion with a kind of chemical overload type of fragrance. It's definitely my favorite BR540-like fragrance. I've tried quite a few of them, but this one is unusually good. I smelled the original a few times, and honestly, I prefer Untold. I love overspraying it, it's very satisfying. I also recommend Penthouse Versailles from the more rare ones. This perfume is weird, but in the best possible way. When I first sprayed it, I immediately thought of By the Fireplace by Maison Margiela. There’s that same smoky warmth in the opening, that sweet crackle of wood and sugar in the air. But then something happens. Untold takes a different path. By the Fireplace smells like you sat by the campfire two hours too long; Untold smells like you left at the perfect moment, carrying just enough smoke and memory to make people wonder where you’ve been. As it dries down, it becomes something By the Fireplace could never be. There’s a cold elegance hiding underneath the warmth. A sense of restraint. Mystery. Like a story that refuses to tell itself all at once. It smells like untold secrets, successes, failures, quiet turning points no one else saw. It’s sophisticated, confident, and hard to explain, but everyone who smells it will feel something. To me, this is what every great perfume should do: it should break language a little. It should make you reach for metaphors. Untold is the scent of contradiction. It’s dark, but in control. Strong, but silent. The smell of someone who’s seen some $&@% and came out sharper because of it. This scent is the physics PhD who deadlifts 765 lbs. It’s the 30-year-old florist who decided to become a NASA astronaut; and actually made it. It’s for people who want to change the world, not loudly, but interestingly. And the wildest part is that it does a little cyberpunk FU and does literally all that in a $40, 105 mL bottle. A dupe of Baccarat Rouge that somehow feels like its own thing entirely.

Wowowowowowowyyyy!!! Okay so this is not Baccarat Rouge 540. BUT... it’s actually really nice. Like, surprisingly good. Good job, Armaf. :))) I’m a big fan of BR540 because it glows, it sparkles, it has that quiet magic. You catch whiffs of it hours later and think “damn, that’s nice.” It’s classy without trying too hard. Untold doesn’t play that game tho. This one goes off the second you spray it. No subtle shimmer cuz it’s like a perfume grenade. You spray it and boom, you know you sprayed Untold!! Then after a few minutes, you go a bit noseblind to it, which is kinda funny. My batch opens with this slightly metallic edge (DONT KNOW IF YALL HAVE THAT TOO THO!) but deffy not in a bad way tho!! It actually gives it a more "masculine" vibe, almost like if MFK made a "Baccarat Rouge 540 Pour Homme" thingy. Then the drydown kicks in and it starts to feel way more like the BR540 I know and love: sweet, ambery, a little airy. Super pleasant. Longevity? Really solid. On skin it lasts well, and on clothes? Wild. I walked past a jacket in my hallway like three days later and it was still going strong. There I was reminded that yeah, it does smell very nice. All in all, no, it’s not a perfect BR540 dupe for those who search it, but it doesn’t need to be. It’s a loud, fun, well-done take on the idea. And for the price? Kinda hard to beat. I'm super suprised by just how great this smells, well done man fr!!

Minha experiência com o UNTOLD foi bem peculiar. Gostaria primeiramente de salientar que não sou experiente em avaliações de perfumes, então usarei uma linguagem bem informal para a descrição. As primeiras borrifadas que dei, senti um cheiro enorme de álcool que me irritou profundamente e fez com que eu desconfiasse da originalidade do perfume. Borrifei mais vezes para ter certeza e acabei exagerando. Fiquei revoltado, queria devolver e fiquei decepcionado com a compra, achando o cheiro ridículo por do excesso e minha primeira impressão que acabou por enviesar a análise do perfume. No outro dia resolvi dar uma segunda chance. Usei e fui trabalhar como motorista, a primeira passageira que peguei logo elogiou e perguntou que perfume era esse. Me animei novamente e comecei a olhar o perfume com outros olhos. Durante o primeiro dia, 3 mulheres me elogiaram de forma VEEMENTE. Comecei a analisar friamente o perfume, deixando meu viés de lado, e comecei a AMA-LO!!! Cheiro completamente exótico, sexy, misterioso, cheiro de riqueza!! Uso unicamente em dias frios! Uma pegada romântica... elogio por todos os lados e frequentemente perguntam: você está usando Baccarat??? Recomendo a todos!!

Very close to BR 540 from my testing. Only way it differs to me is that I find the Armaf to be a bit less feminine due to having a darker type of sweetness to it at least intially. I will also say I don't noseblind to this as quickly as with BR 540 but I do still experience noseblindness with this scent though I catch whiffs throughout the day. Possible longest lasting frag I own and have tested with a very nice sillage. When I first got this I will say that I did get blast of an rubbing alcohol type of smell, but, I also get that with BR 540 and it doesn't last long and with about 2 weeks after first use that black of alcohol is mostly gone or at least goes away even quicker and the frag is overall much smoother. Despite its strength the airy quality of this frag to me makes it wearable all year round with controlled sprays. Honestly probably just 1-2 in summer max since only 5 sprays in the Chicago winter to me felt very strong. Very linear ofc and the DNA ofc is overplayed but its popular for a reason is this is a very good dupe of it and the bottle is nice too. Even after 16 hours I still find myself catching light whiffs, killer stuff.

I've owned a few BR540 clones and to me this is the best one hands down. I love this scent so much if you love BR540 I highly recommend this. It smells so close to the real thing. On top of that it is strong and it lasts. I think this is very unisex it does have some sweetness from the jasmine but I'd love to get my hubby to wear this. This is one of those scents I'd love on a man. I love masculine leaning scents. This didn't need any maceration but this could be an older bottle that's had time to mature. I love the bottle btw I think it looks so cool I love the sunset like colors. The atomizer is excellent gives the perfect amount of fragrance. Also, you don't need much of this at all. This had amazing longevity and projection. I don't need to buy the OG anymore with how similar this smells like the original. Plus it lasts and has amazing sillage. This is one of those either you love or hate scents. I love it and am so glad there's a great fragrance for a fraction of the price. This smells so good and I'm looking forward to trying more scents from this brand as this one is excellent. Love.

Got the 3 new Armaf releases, Iconic, Elixir and this one.. Man this is the best one of the 3 hands down, it has the same magic that BR540 has in the way it lingers around in the air, it comes and goes like a lovely breeze and you just want to keep sniffing it. Al Haramain clone has nothing on this, that ones just way too intense in a particular facet but this Armaf one is balanced so well, nothing jumps out as too much, it has the sweetness and the saffron and the musk but nothing is over bearing, it just smells so smooth and very inviting, NOTHING harsh here from the moment you spray. Can't say anything about the longevity and projection yet but one spray on my arm and its been projecting for a solid 3 and a half hours, keep getting these lovely whiffs every now and then..Just like BR540.. This is gorgeous. If you're thinking of getting the new Armaf releases, skip the other 2 i mentioned and just grab this one. You might have a BR540 clone in your wardrobe but trust me, they are nothing like this.. This is the best one I've smelled.

Smells ethereal in the air, but could come across synthetic if you stick your nose right against it. But unless you are spraying directly under your nose, you wouldn’t get nose-blind to this. 3-4 sprays on my collarbone area projects consistently for up to 12 hours. Not for shy sprayers and the faint of heart, as this scent is vibrant and attention-grabbing. As it stands, I could only wear this while dressed up, and or for really big social gatherings and huge crowds. When sprayed on clothes, it smells to me like how you’d have cotton candy stuck on your shirt if you weren’t careful when you were a kid. CDN Untold is best worn with confidence, and that’s where it best shines. A perfect fragrance for when you are feeling bold and outgoing. Cons: Heavy bottle isn’t the most portable, and the iridescent finish scuffs easily. The Armaf ornament and bottle cap has also started to oxidise, and not in a nuanced patina kind of way. Bottle definitely feels tacky and cheap compared to how expensive the scent feels.

Ordered this from joma and got it on December 3rd. Production date of 05/2025. Initially, it was just pure alcohol and barely any scent left on my skin that was completely gone in less than 10 minutes. I left it alone until new years eve, we'll just call it a month. That night, I brought it to work in my backpack. My reasoning is that I wanted a neutral smelling environment to check it again. I did 4 sprays, ONLY 4. Massive oil spot on my skin and oh boy could I smell it now. No alcohol scent in the slightest. I grabbed a paper towel and tried to wipe it off, then I went to the bathroom to scrub the scent off my forearms and I got it pretty good, I didn't smell it on me anymore. As soon as I open the bathroom door to the store, I can smell it. That paper towel, crumbled in the trash can, had filled the entire store with the scent and the bathroom was at least 20 feet from where that trash can was. On the plus side, every customer that came in that night commented how nice it smelled in there 😁

I’m not sure where these people are getting their bottle, but it only serves to emphasize the significance of purchasing products from authorized retailers. My bottle, from the 2023 batch, is simply heavenly! While it may be more potent than its inspiration, it excels in the dry-down phase. It easily lasts me a day! The projection is undeniably remarkable, leaving a trail that lasts for at least 8 hours. However, it’s potent, so the initial moments after the initial spray are quite intoxicating and immediately fill the room. It’s like BR540 on steroids, but only in the beginning. As previously mentioned, the dry-down is a whole different story. This perfume presents itself better in colder weather and even at night, but it can work in summer if you minimize the spray. Personally, I thoroughly enjoyed this perfume, even going as far as to say it’s a great substitute for BR540 for people (like me) who can’t justify the exorbitant price of that. If I may, I’d rate it a solid 4.6 out of 5.

Let me first start off with that I love this scent profile. I've noticed some people complain about smelling synthetic or to much alcohol and what ive noticed about this is, that it depends on your skin or some type of personal body chemistry. On me no i dont get that, but if my wife put it on a few times and it 100% smelled off. Idk if its some body chemistry thing going on or her body wash, I have no idea. But if you love this scent profile its a win in my book, for $30 if it dont work for your chemistry (if thats what it is) then you can give it away or sell it and only lose a little bit of money instead of $400+ and with that one id 100% try to test it on skin first. This company may put out some cheap fragrances but they use quantity ingredients. They have alot of dupes that I prefer over the OG's because of longevity and performance is better. Some of them i actually put the dupe on first, wait about 30-45 minutes then put the OG on and still get the longevity from the dupe.

This surprised me more than I thought it would. I tried it on a 2 ml decant and used it for 2 days back to back, and this is very good. Like very good. The first day I wore it, it shocked me because every time i smelled it on me, i was like, damm, this is nice, whore it to do some stuff around the house. The second day i whore it to work and received 3 compliments, even though i had low expectations, one of them telling me, that this scent profile goes ideal with my personality. And that it leaves a nice scent trail everywhere i pass. Got a 10 ml decant to do more testing. Unless i find a really good deal on a full bottle, i won't buy it for now. I'm not like crazy in love with this DNA. Even though when ladies do like it. But dont get me wrong, this is good.

I love this. The opening it is really sharp, like medicinal or icy hot, but if you can get over that, it settles into this addictive cozy scent. The only thing that could make this better is if it was sweeter and less sharp. Performance wise-this is truly eternal. If you can’t smell it, you’ve gone nose blind to it. Others WILL smell you from across the room. Now that I’ve had it for a while, I’ve noticed this scent profile on others which made it get old pretty quickly. It’s too demanding and loud to be my favorite, but helped me venture into more woody, ambery scents. Now I find myself using this to layer with other scents to make it sweeter and different from everyone else. 8/10

I know nothing of Baccarat Rouge, I've never tried it, so I can't comment of how close it is to it. What I can say though is that I really love Untold. It's like nothing else I own. It's alluring and mysterious. It's sweet, but also salty and it's got that metallic note to it too that I don't mind at all. It projects and lasts for hours, straight from the box. Perfectly unisex. I've worn in in winter, but should work in cooler summer days too. I got many compliments on it. Super happy with this blind buy. It's the fourth Armaf perfume from the Club De Nuit series I've got and I've been happy with them all. Pretty affordable with great performance and quality.

BR540 beast mode edition! I sprayed this on my wife and it was on that shirt for the next 2 days. I could smell it in the laundry hamper. It is strong but my wife and I argue. I think it's a fem. scent and she thinks it's a masculine scent. I had her wear it first. This stuff is strong. If you want something similar but a lighter version of it go for the Mancera Instant Crush. Instant Crush is lighter and more wearable. If beast mode is what you're after then go for the CDN Untold. I also have the Amber Oud Ruby that a friend gave me because he didn't like it. Amber Oud Ruby sits somewhere in the middle of these two.

I LOVE this perfume! I feel like people who are not really fragrance people will not understand and think it smells like alcohol but if you let it dry down it is the best fragrance !! I’ve re purchased twice! I consistently get compliments on it! Smells like rich cotton candy and a great dupe for BR540! People ask me what it is and then go smell it and say they didn’t like it so please let it dry down!! It lasts ages and tbh my nose goes blind to it after like 10 mins but by the end of the day I’m still receiving compliments! My first day wearing it I had 4 people from work come at me and ask what it was! 10/10

Such a gorgeous fragrance. Both my husband and I adore it. It’s like therapy in a bottle; so nostalgic & evokes pleasant memories of theme parks and summer vacation; just good childhood memories in general. I would describe it as multifaceted - woodsy, simultaneously cool and warm, airy and pleasantly metallic, with a beautiful sweet, slightly burnt sugary note. Truly unisex and good for any season or occasion. A little bit goes a long way but don’t be surprised if the scent comes and goes in wafts, particularly when first applied. An easy 10/10. Amazing fragrance with excellent performance. Lovely.

I've had my bottle for over 2 years and honestly wasn't impressed with the initial few wearings. But...this has maserated nicely. I'm not a huge fan of the BR540 scent profile, but this is fantastic for those occasions where you want to be different. All of the notes are present, well rounded and performance is phenomenal. Price point is ridiculous for this quality of juice. Straight unisex, if you want this profile in a more masculine form, try Al Haramain Detour Noir Eco, it adds a nice herbaceous green touch. Sample before you buy, let it macerate, very polarizing fragrance.
