Desert Night

I was stumped! I knew I smelled this scent before, and it was driving me crazy trying to recall it. What drove me even more crazy was that I knew that I HAD THE SCENT in my stash. Finally, after a day of searching my collection, I realized it was 95% Taraf from Arabian Oud. Desert Night shares a remarkably similar DNA, but Taraf possesses an underlying animalic facet that distinguishes it (just in the opening and middle). Desert Night feels 'cleaner' and smoother in comparison. Both fragrances are exquisitely composed, opening with nearly identical accords for the first 85%. However, Taraf introduces an animalic note midway through, while Desert Night maintains a more restrained, tamed character. (I honestly imagine a lion on the hunt, in a fight, cutting through the terrain (Taraf) and for Desert Night, I imagine what the lion feels like after mating🫶 , having a shower 🚿 and a meal 😋). Eventually, both fragrances converge on THE SAME dry down. (99% on the clothes or test strip, and 95% on the skin). Personally, I prefer Desert Night over Taraf. However, my circle disagrees 😆! Scent: 9.2 Quality: 9.3 Projection: 9.5 Sillage: 9.5 Longevity: 9 Good Quality Clones That I've Come Across: I think Desert Night is a clone of Taraf... Worth Buying: ✅ 100%. Yes.

Nose Note #736 To me this is like Oud Maracuja or even Cuir InfraRouge, but with orange. The leather here is kinda oudy. Nice and sweet, easier to wear than the aforementioned. Very strong, but not overwhelming. To me this is perfectly unisex. I'm surprised that noone else is picking up on the Maison Crivelli comparison. This is actually more like the Aromatix rendition, the Carnal Desire which I absolutely love. This is "philosophically" very close to Carnal Desire, but much weaker and less rich. My wife doesn't like those DNAs at all, almost hates them. Some people really dislike the ouds and leathers. 9/10, still super addictive, suits my taste

This smells just like reef 33 and imperial valley but performance is a little lower. However the bottle in the collection is nicer
