Futura La Homme

Armaf Futura la Homme is one of my first three Armaf fragrances that I got decants of. I got it along with men Armaf Club de Nuit Intense men and Tag-Him Prestige. Armaf Future la Homme is a nice Dior Homme smell alike. It is somewhere between DH, Valentino Uomo and Dior Homme Intense/Valentino Uomo Intense. I only have a decant of it and it is not as talked about as other clones like Zara 9.0, Zara for Him, Zara for Him Gold (I'm going off other accounts for these) or even Halloween Man Shot (I own this so I can use my own account.) It should though. It is an EDP but I think it leans more DH than DHI, though that is a thin line to walk. It isn’t so close to Valentino Uomo as another poster commented, due to no hazelnut and the iris in Futura la Homme. On Uomo, I don’t notice any iris note or accord at all. Here, I do. It isn’t an iris bomb like Valentino Uomo Intense or Dior Homme Eau are, but there is a distinct enough iris note. That said, it is in the same family of a meterosexual gourmand leather scent. I notice that it lasts about 8 hours. It projects really good too for about two hours. I think part of this is it being an EDP rather than an EDT. Like most Dior Homme clones, this is too much for summer days but could work on summer nights. It is pretty good to use in most situations especially dates. The price makes it more apporriate for casual situations like it does for Halloween Man Shot too. I only have a decant of it but I can easily say it is one you would want to get a decant of if not a full bottle, especially if you don't have the option of going to a Zara. This performs better than Halloween Man Shot to me. This so far is my favorite from Armaf. Even Club de Nuit Intense Men isn't that for me. I rate this a 8.8. Once I either have extra money and/or I clear out my existing inventory, I must get this one.

Seeing as this my 13th bottle from the wide variety of different colognes from the Armaf house, I feel it’s fair to say that I like the Armaf lines, and have some experience. I did avoid buying this one for years as I already have Dior Homme at home, and to be honest it’s not my favourite bottle. I got this one yesterday for $14 bucks for a 100ml and it was part of a promotion at my local brick and mortar cologne store, so I pulled the trigger. I already knew from the reviews as to which this was a dupe of, so when I tell you that there was a huge surprise upon first spray is an understatement. Full disclosure; I always thought that the Dior homme 2011 version (Brown) was the same as the 2014 (Blue) version, I couldn’t have been more wrong. First things first, I only ever had the Blue version of Dior homme (2014), I never had the brown version. After smelling this I now wish I would have got the brown version of Dior Homme, because this stuff is beautiful man. It’s almost like Dior Homme the blue version, but has a darker sweetness to it. Make no mistake though, this is an Iris bomb, but it’s very soft and to my nose inoffensive. I don’t really get the coffee, but I do get the amber and Iris. I’m not sure where the sweetness is coming from, but my guess is from the amber. My only complaint is that because of the cheaper price tag compared to its more expensive dupe Dior Homme, there is more alcohol in this and the longevity isn’t the greatest on my skin. Still, for the price I paid this was one hell of a deal. Solid 8/10 for me.

When I first sampled this, I thought it was good, but not great. It's missing some of that depth that Valentino Uomo and Dior Homme have. But, the iris in this scent is the same note used in the others, and it itself is every bit as good! And this is all iris, all the time - I don't get much cacao or anything else. After acquiring a full bottle in a package deal and wearing this more, I must say, it's not exactly a bad thing how plain this is. This is great for layering or wearing to work when you want a simple and unnoticeable scent. (Although it does perform quite well, but iris alone doesn't stand out). It may not quite tick the "love" box for me, but it's staying in my collection for its price and versatility. I could sell it and end up with a $10 profit, but why would I? I layer this with many other scents and it works wonders and lasts well. (Try layering this with Rasasi La Yuqawam! I dare you to tell me you don't like the combination!) If you're missing the beloved Dior Homme Sport 2012, try layering this in equal parts with Dior Homme Cologne or Dior Homme Sport 2017. You'll be surprised by how similar the combination will be. You're welcome in advance.

Never got the chance to smell the original dior home :( but man is this good! I love valentino uomo / intense, the sweet makeup like iris just goes great with what I normally wear and my fiance cant get enough of it. I finished my last bottle of valentino a month ago and never repurchased it because I had this bad boy coming in the mail, after opening and first sniff, I simply fell in love. Never touching the 100$ price tag of valentino again after this. Also super oily concentration which I love, for 24$ bucks, the oil stays on my skin for hours, its not some cheap clone that dissipates off your skin, no you can physically see the thick oil concentration on your skin as it slowly dries down. 10/10 stuff.

Love at first sniff, amazing smell. It feels like you need to dress up a little bit to wear this fragrance. Suitable for colder weather. The performance of the perfume stays long on clothes. Projection is a little strong, I would spray this 3 max on skin. currently I will prefer CDNIM just because it is more versatility, but this Futura La homme smells luxury. This is an easy 10/10 if you're on a budget. Got my perfume on fragrancex for $33 total incl. tax/ship. I will wear this on date night, family gathering, church. You wont get wrong with this one I would say it is safe blind buy, this could be also a unisex perfume in my opinion. .

What a Gem ! just wait for midway and dry down .. is gorgeous .. projection has perfect balance although it might seem dense when you stick your nose to where applied but its smooth ... the whiffs I get after hours makes me smile every time! there are some kinda Dior vibes due to the iris note but too minimal to my nose, I think the star of the mid and dry down is the coffee / amber blend ... this is luxurious, elegant and unique on its own .. if this was poured in a class A brand bottle you would swear by it and pay over +60$ easily. 9/10 for me .. brilliant cheap blind buy

I've been wanting to pick up DH/DHI but didn't really want to drop the $ for it, so I picked this guy up. Having great experience from CDNIM, I trusted Armaf with pulling off a really nice clone. This definitely opens up with that waxy note, but the dry down to a woody, powdery and cocoa-y vibe is real nice and cozy. Also I believe the juice used to be green, but they have changed it to a light brown/amber, most likely to further mirror DH. Nothing cheap about this smell - I got the quality I expected from Armaf.

Steal of a deal! This isn't exactly Dior Homme and it's not exactly Valentino Uomo either. ARMAF Futura is really a little of both. Decent longevity of about 5 hours with a projection of arms length for close to 3 hours. Great signature/work/day fragrance. I see no need to go out and dump $50 -$70 on one of the name brands when this is truly on par for $20 - $25. IMO it's about time this house saves us some real cash and does a Sauvage clone! Thanks for another gem Sterling!

A great Dior Homme clone. It's only fresher. Has the usual clone hash opening that lasts for 1 minute (if you complain about that, you better pay the full price of Dior Homme) then it opens up and you get the iris makeup bag scent that you expect from this clone. Great performance and price. Not the best bottle but it's an Armaf and that's just what they do :D A great purchase overall.

I would say this is a very strong fragrance a bit similar to diorhomme edt. To those who like diorhomme this is best for you. You can save money and the juice quality is the same. Just focus the ratings and love vote. Don't be distruct the comments of others that this is weak in terms of sillage and longevity coz its not. Again focus the ratings not the comments.

In the first times you spray it,smells harsh and synthetic. Probably you don't like it as I did not. but let it sit for a while.I bought it 2 years ago it was not good but now.... wowwwww. this is awesome, good perfomance too. Absolutely smells like DH and VU. It is hard to find it now but I found and bought a backup bottle as it is discountinued.

It is just love at first sight...i can't get enough of this iris! Although I own Valentino Uomo 2 bottles and Roi d'Orient....i just simply can't stopp it....the smell is addictive! Who cares that there are small differences, between VU, RO and this one....who cares....really....the juice is Divine! Thank God that Dior Homme was invented!

Coffee and vetiver with iris as the star. Wearable anytime except Summer. Unless you wear it on a night that is not too humid. This is not exactly a clone. What it is...is a GOOD DEAL. Nice performance and not synthetic. One of armaf's best releases. As of this date, it is in their top 10 must have. YT shavenonthedarkside

Harsh bergamot opening leads to a beautifully powdery lavender and iris-dominant fragrance. Vetiver appears and adds a lightly spicy dimension. Lovely, best in warm/lightly cool weather. Been around 5 hrs, and it's still going strong. Great Armaf offering.

I absolutely love this frag. Been wearing it for over a year now. Citrus burst. Crisp. Great for a Summer day. It's very fresh and clean. Armaf ya killed it with this one! PROJECTION: 7 LONGEVITY: 10

If Dior Homme and Ferragamo F Black were mixed together, I bet they'd smell a lot like Futura La Homme. Excellent price point for what you get. I dig it.

very similar to dior homme (or intense)...i tried it at once and armaf drydown is more pleasant then dior. very nice and very good value for money.

Armaf Futura La Homme EDP opens with a moderate projection of leather, powdery floral, and spicy notes. The opening is mild, fresh, elegant, powdery, and pleasant. The iris, leather, and sage are prominent opening notes. Yep. It REALLY is that good. First off, the cap is super heavy metal and can easily kill someone if thrown at the right velocity. Funny how that's always the first thing I think of... ...ahhhh, anyway, right out of the package you can smell the sweet iris and it's just beautiful. Both my mom and gf dislike Zara 9.0 ("it smells like a grandma"), but they really enjoy this one. Think of DH without the chalky cacao, a stronger iris, and topped with that weird sugary sweetness you get with Zara's Tone Indeterminee, which is incidentally one of my favourites. In fact, just yesterday I layered Futura with Indeterminee and I was in heaven. HOLY Cow. Mind, everything just seemed holy at that point. The result was a sweet, powdery iris-praline-chocolate scent with BEAST MODE performance. I'm talkin' AWESOME. Anyway, the performance of Futura itself is just fantastic; and best of all, it's totally unisex. Yep. So is indeterminee. That's why they just go so well together. If you like Bourbon by Bath and Body Works, you'll probably go ape sh** for this one. Just don't go ape and start throwing sh**. That's just crazy. Scent - 9/10 Longevity - 9.5/10 Projection - 9/10 Overall - 9/10 - What, no Hype???

Although I still stand by my first-impression review (below), I must mention that I feel this smells different in air than on skin. Significantly more decisive in air, but still equal in strength. The "lipstick" description everybody uses is true, however, it's a note that has to be experienced first hand... Being a gentleman, I'm not too familiar with lipstick, but I can defiantly imagine the resemblance. Well done fragrance through the Mid; still have not completed a full day's wear, but wanted to give fair recognition to the Pro's and not only the Con's. Good if you want to present yourself in a semi-casual semi-professional manner; this scent smells clean and will let everyone around you know that you care about hygiene. Great for a button down & khaki's; I would not say that this is quite unique enough if you're wearing something your proud of, like a new suit and/or tie. It's a step above "just blending into the crowd".

First of all, scroll down and read these comments... they're not lying!! This thing is STRONG. Straight out of the box, sprayed TWICE to test atomizer (not bad, btw), and it completely bombed my office. The scent began seeping into the hallways, so I had to close my door, which I've never had to do before... The bergamot opening is pretty nasty imo; it reminds me heavily of Afnan 9PM. Almost smells like pear. And did I mention, it's STRONG?? Writing this before a full day's wear, but off the opening alone: if you wear more than 2-3 sprays, you'll 100% annoy/offend just about everyone around you.

To my nose this is very similar to dior homme original 2020 the name of the fragrance I am referring to is (dior homme original) I would say save your money and get a bottle of that instead of this especially that it is readily available and not expensive Dior homme original is denser and thicker and stronger Now for the bottle mine arrived with the box intact but I opened the box and found the bottle leaking inside, covered with finger prints all over and greasy the nozzle is out of its place and when you try to put it back it jumps right off and doesn't fit which is unbelievable.

Received my sample today...no way this is like "Dior - Homme"... DH is way sweeter than this...and with way more iris. There is nothing here to liken it to "Dior Homme Original" besides the minuscule levels of Iris. It's the same kind of iris...butI can barely smell the iris, no Cacao and no other "DH" notes. This is like a 60% watered down version of "Dior Homme Original"...I'll wait and buy the real thing. 03NOV21: Picked up "Micheal Jordan - Legend" today and I'll be damned if that frag isn't a better version of this Armaf frag.

I have it. Lord help me, I don't know WHY I have it. I don't like Uomo (have not smelled 'intense'). I want to, I keep trying, but - I just don't like it. This Futura smells 90% like Valentino's Uomo to me. It LASTS. terrific bang for your buck. the only way I think you'd tell them apart is if you're an expert, and if you actually had one on each wrist. Weird bottle, yet another cheap rhinestone. The lid is so heavy I'm sure you could fire it out of a cannon. If you love Uomo and cannot afford it - here you go - Merry Christmas.

Good scent, but not great. This is a little too simple and too sweet and doesn’t last long enough. It doesn’t have much in common with the Dior Homme line, it’s closest to Valentino Uomo Intense. I do like this one but you can get the Valentino for $30 more from discounters and that has much better performance and much much better smell. With Futura you gotta use twice as many sprays and refresh later in the day to match the performance of VUI so you might as well just get the real thing and it will cost less in the long run.

Finally got this in today and I can completely understand the comparison between DH and Uomo. It reminds me more of DH than Uomo though. A beautifully well crafted fragrance in of itself though. Very close resemblance to DH and one of the best deals you can find for your buck as well. It really just smells so good. If you want a DH scented fragrance, but just don’t or want or can’t fork out the money for it, than this fragrance will definitely suffice. Smells expensive, well blended and fantastic scent.

I do not like the lipstick iris of Dior Homme OG and Valentino. Fortunately, this is more like the Prada iris. My thumbnail is Iris, vanilla (in the form of the amber accord), cocoa/coffee (while cocoa isn't listed, it is definitely there) and lavender. Don't expect lots of woods/vetiver and you won't be disappointed. Not complex but quite good in its simplicity/straightforwardness. Decent longevity, nice sillage but not a projection beast. Great for the office. Leans a bit towards unisex.

I can understand why people think it smells like Dior Homme but trust me it is not that close I must say that i have Dior Homme, Valentino Uomo and Zara 9.0 and shen I tested all three I can say that Its exactly like Zara 9.0 and have a good resemblance to Valentino Uomo but thats it. Dior Homme is so unique that its very hard to clone. Futura price is awesome so I recommend to get one. I give it 8/10

This is a lovely iris and lavender star. To me it smells more similar to valentino uomo then dior homme. It starts of with strong but pleasingly sweet iris and later comes the lavender which stay till the end with a mix of coffee, oakmoss & homey but Iris is clearly a winner here and the best part is, it costs only $18 and lasts on your skin for more then 8+ hours with good projection.

not a fan of such comparisons, but this time i cannot help it: Futura La Homme smells like a wet cardboard with a slight flowery/iris twist. it's better than it sounds, but not by a big margin. and since everyone is obsessed thinking that every middle eastern fragrance must be a dupe/clone - no, it's not a clone of Dior Homme. just because it has iris doesn't make it Dior Homme clone

Never smelled DHI or Valentino Uomo Intense, but I do own Valentino Uomo, and this could be a flanker to it. Not a clone but a flanker. I enjoy it and the fact that Uomo is discontinued and prices are out of my range this could be a nice substitute when I run out of my Valentino. Again substitute not clone. But a well rounded fragrance overall.

I blind bought this because of the Dior Homme Intense comparison but didn’t find them similar then I bought Valentino Uomo Intense and immediately recognized this is a VUI Clone so if you prefer DHI don’t get this. Futura La Homme has the same Lipstick/Makeup vibe but less aggressive the iris note is not as robust as DHI.

The mid and the dry-down is MUCH better than the opening. Give it about 30 minutes and it starts to settle and become pleasant... very pleasant. The iris note here is not very "lipsticky". Dry-down gets you close to fragrances like Prada l'Homme, but this is not a copy. A very good fragrance for the price.

Smells more like DHI/DH than any of the Valentino ones. Maybe in the same lipsticky-feel fragrance family, but has nothing to do with Valentino Uomo Intense tbh. I love both fragrances but no, I can't find similarities except the family they're in.

the scent is very pleasant, but the performance is so bad, i'm tempted to say it's not worth the low asking price. maybe if you just can't afford dior homme, and are willing to overspray and refresh regularly

This is a really unique scent! The iris and coffee combo in the middle is unexpected but totally works. It's got a warm, slightly sweet vibe that I love. Lasts a good while too!

This is a powdery/iris bomb ! Very clean smelling i can't think of any other way to describe it than pretty lol. It's worth the price but i probably won't repurchase.

The opening is just harsh and very synthetic, takes around 30 min for the harshness to disappear, not as iris as i thought it would be

Blind bought this. Expected something similar to Valentino Uomo. Deeply disappointed. The smell itself is not bad, I like it. But the performance is very weak. I would not recommend this, even for the price.

A synthetic version of Dior Homme. The Iris is a bit harsh but it blends with amber-powdery scent nicely. Not a big fan of it, but will wear it occasionally in the windy night.

I bought this about 6 mo. Ago in late Spring, tested it a couple of times and didn’t care for it, it smelled very ordinary, harsh and powdery. Last night I was setting aside a few bottles from my collection to give away, and decided to test it one last time. We are in fall now, temperature around 60F. I applied it at 4pm last night, 6 sprays, now it’s 1pm, and can still sniff it, almost 24 hours after. The fragrance also improves in cooler weather, becomes smoother and more pleasant, less powdery. Still don’t think it’s a masterpiece, but it’s a decent scent for the price, in the line of VU and DH, so if you like one those fragrances this may be a worthy buy for more casual occasions or daily wear.

I get Iris, lavender and cocoa from Futura. The listed note is coffee but smells like bittersweet cocoa to me instead. I usually don't like these types of gourmandish scents but I like this one. Longevity is good, about 6-8 hours. Bottle is quality, especially for an Armaf. The heavy cap snaps on securely. Oddly though, when it came in the mail I opened my sealed box to discover greasy smudges and fingerprints all over the bottle. Whatever it was I had to use rubbing alcohol to get off. Other than that I'm impressed with Futura.

Please, don’t blind buy this one. Don’t get any iris, vetiver or leather. Resembles a bit of Benetton blue for men which isn’t a mass beloved scent. It has a strong synthetic note. Even if you can get it for good price I would recommend to try it first.

this is pretty gross. the coffee note is pungent, just buy DHI. it's well worth the extra cash.

Futura La Homme opens smooth and understated. Lavender and sage bring a clean herbal freshness while bergamot adds a light citrus edge that keeps it from feeling heavy. It does not scream for attention but eases in and sets the stage for the heart. Iris comes through early, powdery and slightly sweet, giving the scent a soft, velvety texture. Amber warms it up and coffee adds just enough depth to keep it from feeling too floral. It feels refined and slightly romantic, not flashy but very classy. As it dries down, woods and leather take over. Vetiver adds a dry earthy edge while cedar and leather give body and a masculine backbone. It shifts from soft and powdery to more grounded and confident. Futura La Homme feels elegant and intimate. It is not a crowd-pleasing fresh scent but has a dressed-up vibe. Best for dinner, a date, or even at work if you want to project quiet sophistication. It works well in cooler weather or evenings when you want something that stays close but leaves an impression.

This perfume got a waxy and a little lipstick vibe. It is very peppery and a little creamy. This CAN'T substitute Dior homme. However it is a good iris addition to my collection. I use it mostly to blend with other perfumes to give them a touch of iris. If you really love that waxy iris you would want it in most fragrances. ;) NB: I most add my voice to @digam. The bottle arrived with the box having huge spots of perfume leakage. Inside the bottle had tick greasy spots... very disgusting. The metal tag was not hanging in place. I did wash it but the bottle keeps accumulating thick grassy substance near the sprayer.

It's pretty darn nice. In the vein of dhi minus the intensity which actually gives it points for versatility. In the opening I get a blueberry/licorice combo playing in with the iris then after about 30 minutes there's that addictive waxy lipsticky goodness. It's linear from there which is fine by me. It's basically like a super versatile dhi. I'm very pleased to have picked this one up. As others have said this is performing more to me as an edt than edp but at the price point (I paid 21 shipped) that is more of an observation than a complaint.
