Just For You Pour Homme

So glad to see this finally make it into the database! This is a masterpiece and I have waited two years to review it. The notes are spot on, but give a general impression of Earl Grey tea, bergamot/citrus, and a fine leather travel case in a wood paneled room. Just for You exudes well-traveled elegance, charm, and confidence. It strikes me as very masculine and calm. Sample and try it. It is worth a try.

Hard to believe no one has drawn the CH Men Prive or Roberto Cavalli Uomo Silver Essence comparisons. It clicked for me almost immediately and is 90%+ similar, and far closer to either of those than it is to GO like most seem to be suggesting. This is a wonderful replacement for those tough to find fragrances, and gets full marks from me! Impressed from start to finish, as usual with Armaf.

Excellent fragrance. Good citrus opening for a bit of smoke later on (birch note) and confortable leather and frankincense for the bottom notes and drydown. On top and a rare happening with Armaf - the bottle is very nice and well conceived. Recomendable. To be a look alike of Gyvenchy Gentleman Only is a plus.

After some wearing, I consider this an amazing fragrance. It is in the category of the pleasant smells that will not offend anyone. Fresh with a hint of spices, very gentle, mild and enjoyable. The performance is lacking a bit, but I got this for $15.

Review without comparing this to other fragrances: Ok, this is a fragrance centered around Birch bark, there is a strong linalool presence (imagine lavander effect but without it's specific note... In this note breakdown it's represented by bergamont which is citrus with huge ammounts of linalool). There are also some oceanic mineral notes that make me imagine cold beach after sunset with no people around. These mineral notes also work well with pink pepper that you can actually smell as a note. If described as a scene, imagine birches by the ocean after sunset, gusting the salty sea air around your face and there are also spices present in the air - a hint of pink pepper and nutmeg. To me, this fragrance does not feel complete. It's like something is missing and it's leaving a hole, that quite literally creates this feeling of nothing. It's making me slightly uncomfortable, but from the point of view of scent exploration it's quite fascinating. When compared to other fragrances: Ok this reminded me of Aventus when I tried it last time about a year ago. Imagine Aventus but without the earthy and fruity notes. Instead there is this huge vetiver note that is missing in the note breakdown. If you are familiar with other creed fragrances like royal oud for example, this has that pink pepper opening that is characteristic of most creed fragrances. But in simple words I would describe it as Aventus that has something missing. Reviewed on cold overcast fall day, 17°C, 74% humidity

A great clone of Givenchy's Gentlemen Only with similar or worse performance. Starts off as an almost aquatic and greenish birch leaf-leather with some orangey incense, and finishes off very dry and musty with a slightly smoky birch and rather timid leather. A gentleman's scent yes, but with a rugged feel in the drydown, and no real citrus that I can detect. The longevity has always been suspect (2-3 hours) ever since I got it a few months ago, but for some reason, it tends to last longer now, albeit with a significant reduction in resolution. That means, that for the first hour I get a virtual rollercoaster of interesting notes and transitions, but after it settles down into a nice blend, the projection and complexity basically disappear. The curious thing about this one (and Gentlemen Only) is that I can't quite pinpoint where the tiny bit of sweetness is coming from... There are no sweet notes officially listed, so I'm guessing it's the orange? I dunno. But the description I might give it is "milky". Still, I really enjoy the way the birch is done in this one. A very smooth, pleasant and rather masculine blend of smoky woods and spices with some interesting twists. Scent - 8/10 Longevity - 6/10 Projection - 4.5/10 Overall - 7/10 - Unfortunately not a solid performer.

I agree with DaedalusX -- this is NOT a clone of GO. Or if it is, it's a poor attempt at one. There is maybe a 75% similarity, just enough to make you think of it. Just not enough to register as a copy. But dare I say -- that at least to my nose, it's actually BETTER. The combination of frankincense (olibanum) and smoky birch and bright cedar create a base that really comes together well and punches in at well above its price tag. Yeah, the opening can be a bit uneven, as is the case with many Armaf fragrances. But the wait is not too long before the shouting gives way to something much smoother and softly resinous. I like it. Longevity is for me moderate at best unless you wait a few minutes and respray a second time. I don't sense a lot of sillage from this one, either, nor is there a massive scent bubble around you. True to its name, this is "Just for You" and for the enjoyment of those who venture in close. And honestly, the bottle and sprayer are awkward, leaky and leave much to be desired. But I have to hand it to Armaf, this one does end up being a handsome devil. Nice little spring/summer dumb grab.

Really nice. Soft and smooth (not shouty), and a little sweet. The sweetness may be coming from the nutmeg, but regardless, it's very pleasant. Reminds me a little of silly putty from when I was a kid (strange reference I know, but some of you will remember). It's addictive. (8/10) Definitely has a Bogart Pour Homme vibe on drydown (softer though).

good alternative for givenchy's Gentlemen Only. projection is 2 hours on me, longevity is 9 hours.

Used to love it first, now it gives me instant headaches, too syntethic..

First proper wearing... This opens with a peppery orange-tinged citrus note, which quite soon turns rather sweet, and almost (but not quite) minty (I get a similar vibe when I smell a jar of nutmeg). The pepperiness hangs on, and the orange scent mellows. An hour in, and the various notes have shifted in intensity, with the orange taking more of a back seat, and resin emerging, turning the perfume into an orange inspired wood-polish like scent. The latter endures for hours and hours as a skin scent, giving the perfume a freshness that makes the performance of this fragrance both impressive and enjoyable.

I read kingk4de's review saying it wasn't a Gentlemen Only clone, but I still bought it in hopes that he was wrong. Turns out he was 100% right. It is indeed quite different than Gentlemen Only and definitely NOT A CLONE. Hopefully you won't make the same mistake. Having said that, Just For You is a great scent on its own. The pink pepper, citrusy leather combo makes this a good year-round option at a very affordable price.

NOT A CLONE, Of Gentlemen Only. Don’t be like me and read the reviews and blind buy this. You’ll be disappointed. Gentleman Only is a well blended high quality scent that is just so well refined. Now before our community starts to downvote my comment and dislike my review, it never bothers me when I see a negative review, but as long as people can articulate why it’s bad, Don’t be like others who write one sentence saying that a scent smells like cat piss and vomit. I would flag those comments if I could, and if it was my site I would simply just delete them. Again, write what you want, but explain properly why you hate it. Let me clear... This isn’t a bad scent, but it’s not a dupe. Sure there are some similar notes compared to GO but come on guys it’s missing quite a few more noticeable notes, mainly violet leaf, patchouli, elemi, nutmeg. This does smell good, but if it weren’t for the reviews here, I would have never have purchased this Armaf scent on its own. I won’t rate this one at this time because I’m too pissed about my blind buy at this time. I’ll revisit this a little later. Beware of the comparisons, they don’t match.

Not sure what's going on around here. Cheap citrus scent. You get what you pay for. Pretty unappealing for me personally. Bottle is awful too.

Possibly reformulated. Very poor performance lasting no more than 30 minutes. No longer worth the bottle investment. Good bye Armaf forever.

I don't know if there's a great deal of variation in batches, but this is most certainly an attempt at a Gentlemen Only clone. I own GO but am getting low, so I decided to give JFY a shot. It's not as smooth as GO, but it's definitely the same DNA and fairly linear progression. JFY has a slight sharpness to it, almost a vague powdery cheapness, which makes it slightly less rich and warm, but I don't think anyone around you could probably tell the difference. Out of the two, there's no doubt GO is the better fragrance. Hell, if I layered the two to extend my GO, I doubt I could even tell the difference.

UPDATE: 2024 This goes toward the direction of something like a Fahrenheit Summer or Aqua Fahrenheit, but it's a twist with a spikey and extremely pleasant to my nose olibanum incense with the birch, so it's a crisp and dry zesty scent with grapefruit and smokey incense facets. Just realized years later that it might share a lot in common with Bois Luxura by Armaf. I'm not sure if I even remember Gentlemen Only, but lately I'm leaning that this is more like a Fahrenheit Summer twist. There's no gasoline note in this or violet that I can really detect.

Opening is little bit chaotic where several notes almost bounce of each other and never seem to be blended together into one scent. However one hour later this almost new type of fragrance emerge with refreshing and invigorating qualities, something partly in amber/fougere territory and to a some extent in leather/oriental area. Scent also exhibits these herbal steaming, tea like qualities that last for an impressive amount of time. Its definitely underrated and one of the better armaf fragrances that I tried

Incense Bomb; very nice classy scent- general crowdpleaser. It projects for the first 1.5 hours and then turns into a skin scent. I get great feedback when I first apply it on. If you buy this, get yourself a small decant atomizer for reapplication throughout the day. Scent: 8/10 Longevity: 4/10 Sillage: 7/10
