Typing this while I am at work. I really want to write my quick thoughts about this cologne because I think this one deserves an attention. It is not 100% Bleu de Chanel (edp) because I find this one on the first few minutes, a bit more synthetic, a bit more dense and in your face (but not that harsh to be hated) while BDC edp is aromatic and smooth with some incense edges yet tamed as it was properly blended. The best part of wearing it is during the dry down. That is where the magic happens. It is not a BDC edp but it has a character on it's own that captivates noses. This is one cologne that smells better in the air, an hour after application. A few minutes before writing this, one of my customers asked what perfume am I wearing as it smells very pleasant and inoffensive. She admitted she is not into perfumes but she appreciated the whiffs of it. So that's it. Great for fall, winter and cold summer nights. High projection on initial sprays so be careful as it can be nauseating to the wearer and anyone around. This is very good for casual, clubbing and dates. I think this is a back up worthy for me as I want to save my Bleu de Chanel eau de parfum on special occasions. Marjan Silver is almost 9/10.

I've always loved fragrances, but I am fairly new to the unhealthy obsession phase. I just started within the last couple months, so I'm still learning alot of the more technical lingo. Since I'm newer and want to get a feel for some scents but pay less initially, after much research, I went with this one as my Bleu de Chanel alternative. One thing I'm glad I've learned is to not make snap judgments, as things smell different in the air vs. on a strip vs. on the skin. My first dupe was CDNIM edp Aventus clone by Armaf as well. The opening to the CDNIM was very harsh to me, but the more it sat on my skin, I loved it. The Marjan silver had a similar harsh smell to the opening for me. Quite synthetic lemony. Almost kitchen cleaner lemon smell that seemed to go cut right through my nose. HOWEVER, once I let that settle down, it smelled like a fairly good representation of BDC. I plan on going into my local Ulta and do a side by side to get an exact idea. Give it about an hour and this stuff smells very pleasant. For those of you new to scents, give it some time, it is amazing how your nose evolves and is able to pick up notes. When I first started, i wondered how the heck people did that. :-)

This is a clone of Bleu de Chanel and let me say its pretty close. I sprayed Bleu on one hand a Marjan Silver on the other and let them dry. Bleu dried down to a clean ginger, sandalwood with a slight Smokey undertone of incense. Marjan was exactly the same without the incence and slightly more sandalwood scent. However, about 30 mins later they're almost identical. I'd say Marjan Silver is 94% close. This Armaf frag lacks the harsh opening found in Tag Him. It comes out smelling pleasant with a nice bergamot grapefruit scent. As a EDP, it lasts longer than Bleu as well. This is a very good representation of Bleu. For 20 bucks it's worth a try. Armaf is becoming one of the best. **********Update*********5/16/2019 The stuff is still very good, just an update on longevity. I'm getting about 3hrs projection and 7.5hrs to 8hrs before it goes to a very soft skin scent.

I feel like this one is a bit slept on, personally. Yes, everyone knows CDNIM, but I would argue that this or Legesi rightfully belong in the conversation. This is a very close knockoff of BDC, which most of us would agree is a great fragrance. Hunter Intense gets love, and for younger guys, I get it. I own it, but that Invictus type sweetness is something that is tough for my old ass (early 40's). Yes, BDC isn't as hyped as Aventus, but Armaf did just as good a job with Marjan Silver as it did with CDNIM in my opinion. Love it!

Like most Armaf scents, the opening is abrasive. Steer clear from whacking it up against your nostrils for a good 5 mins. This settles down into a fine citrusy, woody, earthy scent. I get the comparison with BdC (not smelt Egoiste), but there are a lot of differences. After an hour, Marjan ends up with a sweet vibe. For an EdP, the longevity is average. For the price, it’s a steal. A safe summer/fall wear. 3.5/5

Rough and strong citrus opening that dies off fairly quickly. The mid gets a little powdery before the woods and patchouli finally come out. It can be a good all year round scent that should offend no one and for the money you can do much worse.

This gem holds a personal spot in my heart and has been in my rotation for the last 3 years since I’ve discovered it. Yeah I’ve gotten compliments, like the other day when it was cold a lady in line behind me at the store said, “You smell GREAT!!” I also have a friend who absolutely loves BDC and payed 155$ at the mall about a month ago. I laughed cuz I payed 20$ for this and I wore it the day before and he didn’t say anything but I knew that’s why he went bought it 😂. I got in his truck and almost asked him if he was wearing this ! Long story short, if you like the BDC DNA you will appreciate this one! Just get it, it’s the same price as the buffet at Golden Corral 😏🤣🤣

Dear Armaf, Someone on your factory floor has a great sense of humour... Kindly congratulate Him/Her for amping up the company revenues! Otherwise, who on Earth would pump the same exact perfume juice into 4-5 different bottles with a new name! 😂 Ok folks, there's 1. Armaf Tag-Him 2. Armaf Shades Blue 3. Armaf Voyage Bleu 4. Armaf Marjan Silver Homme all are reminiscent of the Shannel's Blue cash-cow... Armaf Marjan Silver is the better one among all Armaf B d C cousins, or perhaps it's the latest version. Still can't seem to stop laughing at that Sterling Employee of the Decade!

I haven't smelled Blue de Chanel, but I'd say Marjan Silver is a fantastic summer frangrance, it's fresh without being compromising on masculinity, nor is it soapy. One of the fragrances I don't care for the notes breakdown, and it might lean more towards linearity, but that's not an issue since it smells nice. Silage might be tuned down, but is compensated for by longevity which is great for me compared to other summer fragrances even in warmer weather. Great buy, and I see myself using this a lot.

I blind bought this last year and i honestly didn't like it much, it's not my type of scents. Upon the first wearing i knew it reminded me of something, by time i realized it resembled Bleu de chanel to a large extent, but i also thought it's not an identical clone. Only last week i got to know what it tried to clone, i bought few samples for Parfum de Marley, and this really tried to replicate "Percival" by Parfum de Marley, and it's 80% close.

So I got the Chanel vibe...but I totally get Platinum Egoiste instead of BdC. I suppose they both share that smooth Chanel musk, but I do not get the blue from BdC. This is decidedly PE to my nose. Judging the fragrance itself, like the other Armafs I have tried thus far, it's good! Performance is solid, this one is inoffensive, and it's easy to wear. Obviously the price cannot be beat. What else is there to say!

It's better BDC. Armaf shades blue is worse, better is body mist , best is Marjan silver deo and save your money from buying a full 100 ml bottle.
