Odyssey Black Forest

I would approach this less as a cherry-forward scent, and more as an extremely rich and decadent dark chocolate scent. It's very photorealistic, unlike a lot of other chocolate scents I've tried that have an artificial lactonic quality to them. There is potentially some very interesting layering combos to be realized with this, but I really enjoy how it smells by itself. I enjoyed this enough to upgrade from a decant to a full bottle, this fills a niche that no other scent I've tried has covered. The only commonality between this and Lattafa Mayar Cherry Intense is that they have similar notes on paper, they're very different in execution. Mayar Cherry Intense is far more cherry-forward as the chocolate note sits back, while Odyssey Black Forest is very much the opposite.

Wow... up close this smells EXACTLY like a fudge brownie protein bar. Can't remember the brand that the scent is reminiscent of. Smells slightly more caramel/chocolatey in the air, with less of whatever is giving me protein bar vibes. I can't stomach protein bars at all. It smells great in the air tbh, and probably smells fine to most on skin, but for me I get strong chocolate protein bar vibes. It makes me slightly nauseous, but that's a me problem. Maybe the scent will change after its sat for a bit. But the protein bar thing... does anyone else relate? Edit: As of 6/25/2026 I no longer get protein bar 👍

I enjoy this fragrance, and the people around me love it too. It’s dark, sweet, and alluring. I think this is definitely a colder weather scent that can also be worn in Spring. Odyssey is well blended, and lasts a decent amount of time. I reapplied halfway throughout the day because I wanted to smell more of it. All day, I caught whiffs of this scent and I loved it. Perfectly unisex, though I feel it leans more masculine. I will be wearing this often this season.

It has deep, rich notes that feel a little dark and I really love that about it.

Gourmand lovers will adore this, though they should note the cherry note fades almost immediately once the opening passes. They may wish to layer this with a stronger cherry fragrance to get that note to last. Otherwise, they can enjoy the mid and drydown's notes of chocolate, vanilla, cinnamon and cream. This is unisex, performs well and is great for nighttime use during social and intimate occasions. Younger users will especially appreciate this. Older users should be wary of the sweetness if sweet DNAs don't appeal to them. Works best in cooler weather. Otherwise, this is another great gourmand addition to the ever expanding Odyssey "thermos" bottle line. Recommended.

Nose Note #935 Easy to review, I'll make it short. It's best described as Amore Caffe, but with a cherry accord, plus a bit of burnt sugar and the overall composition is a bit darker. Otherwise, very similar to Amore Caffe, Tiramisu Coco, Cafe'N'Cream. This DNA is a bit nauseating for me. There's something about it, I don't know. Nothing challanging, just this specific coffee and cream combo at some point makes me a bit sick. Unisex very slightly leaning feminine - it is a very sweet scent. Nicely strong. Nice sillage. The scent can seem a little offensive. 8.2/10, I like this much better than Amore Caffe and all its dupes

Just got this today and it smells nice to me! Upon first spray and sniff, I immediately smelled similarities to Artisan Ethnique by Lattafa. Except, AE gives me the scent of apples and it is much sweeter and stronger with a hint of booze, whereas this one gives off more chocolate covered cherries but with a similar DNA and on my skin dries down woody. This is just my nose and first impressions so it may change over time. Scent doesn’t last long though, nor is it strong to me, and the dry down sorta throws me off so I’m leaning more towards neutral about it.

appreciate the realism here, it truly is a forest. Specifically, a forest made of pure sugar where the trees are dripping in syrup and the ground is made of marshmallows. It’s impressive craftsmanship, but I’m trying to wear a fragrance, not develop Type 2 diabetes by osmosis. It’s a suffocatingly sweet hug that lasts three days too long

It is very delicious, on the gourmand chocolatey side but I do not detect any cherries, which is sad, since this was the reason I blind bought it. I like it, but would have passed on this one, as I have similar gourmands in my collection.

Syrupy sweet and dark. Well mixed and real smelling. Calms down to be woodier, but still sweet. One of those scents that swings above its class for the price.

Smells like Khambrah but with more chocolate. Like a mix between Eclaire pistache and Khambrah. Same family DNA.

This is straight up milk chocolate with alcohol or bailey's with like 5% cherry. I'm surprised Milk isn't listed as a note cos there sure as hell is a TON of milk in this. For me this was a miss, I thought I'd get a LOT of cherry and that almond but I get none, had it for few months nothing changed. It's loud, it's strong I sprayed it on clothes to test how long it would last, I left the clothes and it stayed on it for good 4 days. If you want to smell like a chocolate store go for it, if you want to get freaky with your girl or guy, get this, get them some of that edible chocolate underwear and y'all will be a perfect match. But like I mentioned I do not like this, or more I like this, but I can not imagine myself wearing this, nor can I see an occasion for this fragrance to be worn. It does however smell nice on me unlike the other only chocolate sweet fragrance type I got from French Avenue that just smells like burnt stake on me for some reason, so if I ever find an occasion I might try it. But you could totally use it as an air freshner for home to give it a certain vibe maybe for christmas I could see this to make the house smell more cookie like. Also if you have French Avenue Spectre Wraith it's not worth getting cos they basically smell the same I got both and it's like 90% simmilar. Unless you like this profile but French Avenue also smells on you like burnt stake you might want to get this.

I thought it'd be very synthetic, it kind of is, but just a by a bit. The opening is amazing; We get the caramelized cherry (even though I usually dislike both of those notes in perfumery), that also perhaps contains alcohol in it. Not the alcohol that you get after spraying the perfume, but a whiskey type of alcohol. It's the opening that's synthethic and extra sweet, almost childish (leaning female), however later on it dries down to whiskey/chocolate-y base (leaning male). Perhaps it's the honey and praline giving me that bourbon impression. It reminds me of "Tiramisu coco" by Zimaya because of it. Not sure if I'd wear it, but it's not bad. The projection is INSANE. Stays on skin also amazingly well. Unisex, but in a confusing way. 6/10

It lasts 6+ hours easily. Masculine leaning. I have issue with the floral note. It lasts the whole way through for me and it is so overbearing that it drowns out everything else. Maybe I’m just sensitive to it. But I think i’ll give this to a guy lol.

This smells like a harsh and dirty version of Amore Caffe! I have the OG on my arm and Black forest on a napkin across the room, and there's something foul and nasty about black forest unfortunately. .

This one is very strong on coffee, black coffee, there is a dry bitterness around the edges of the scent profile, I can get the feel of black forest, as theres the fake cherry and creaminess there, I wouldn't say this is itself a creamy scent. In the middle there lies the generic rounded arab rounded sweet thing they all do. This one is different enough to the others that it coukd work, i wouldn't say bljnd buy as its not a strict gourmand. Definitely unisex
