Odyssey Homme

#344 in my "Tour de Fragrance" First of all, I love this scent. The reason some people think it's similar to Dior Homme Intense is, I believe, the very prominent iris note. That is why I bought the Dior Homme Intense, Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male and Le Beau, Amouage Interlude Black Iris, Prada L'Homme, Prada L'Homme Intense, Prada Luna Rossa Ocean, Givenchy Gentleman EDP Reserve Privee, Givenchy Gentleman Eau de Parfum Boisee, Bvlgari Man in Black, Creed Green Irish Tweed, Armani Code Parfum, Valentino Uomo Intense, Versace The Dreamer. You could add an iris note to cat poo and I'd probably buy it! I know this about myself. Now you do as well, so view this review as the ravings of an addict who just got a hot load of his favorite drug because I love this stuff and can't stop smelling myself! It's odd how many people think this smells like Tom Ford Noir Extreme or Mercedes Benz Select Night, because those two frags smell similar yet distinct to my nose, and this fragrance has no trace whatever of the citrus both of those fragrances feature in their openings. It certainly smells nothing like Spicebomb Extreme which was so nasty I tossed it in the trash. But my theory, based on reading hundreds of these reviews, is that some people cannot distinguish between certain florals, so they don't notice the difference between a lavender, a jasmine, a lily or an iris note. Almost everyone recognizes Rose, but otherwise they just smell "floral." I've raised and tended a wide variety of flowers throughout most of my life, and the various floral scents elicit different emotional responses from me that I am sure are rooted in sense memories from places like my mother's garden, my lakeside home in Spanaway, my house on Puget Sound, my riverside condo in Irvine all of which were a riot of scent and color with an endless variety of flowering plants. At one time or another I've had dozens of Iris species growing around the properties, and of all the flowers, they were always my favorite. Some very happy memories of those places, and the strong Iris note of this fragrance strongly evokes those good times. For that reason alone it's a keeper for me! But this is also just a great fragrance with great projection and longevity. And for $35 you aren't taking much of a risk with a blind buy. But it is definitely EDP in strength, and I mean real EDP, so go easy. Overspray and you'll regret it. And I would say the same of most of the fragrances with an iris note I listed above. Even the irises in my garden would sometimes give me headaches. Overspray something like Dior Homme Intense and if you're subject to migraines you'll be down for the count. One spritz.

Odyssey Homme EDP 1/2024 batch One word for this scent profile is just Wow!! This would be a scent that designers would charge you 100 plus dollars for. It opens like vanilla coke float with a tinge of spice quite sophisticated if you ask me, the opening is quite nice and sweet while retaining a good quality. This lasts for a couple of minutes and leaves a nice silage around the area where it has been sprayed. Once the opening dries down that's where the real magic takes place now the mids developing here is a dry tobacco sweetness with oriental spices, its complex but well blended and smells like sophistication this makes you want to smell this again and again while it invites you to come closer. The quality at this price is astonishing TBH. It will remind you of a dark rich indulging vanilla pie with spices rounded off with amber like syrup sweetness not cloying in anyway, the balance is great. You cant really pull apart ingredients here because the blend is so smooth. Now there are a few resemblances here with Tom Ford noir extreme where I do agree this is 70 to 75 percent similar, while TFNE has a bit more of a spicier edge and this perfume will remind you of Spice bomb extreme with the tobacco and spice combination. Now coming to the performance i have been left wanting a bit more. It lasts for around 4 to 6hrs and gives a moderate silage for the first 2 hours then sits close to your skin, but if there is some breeze then you will get this scent to open up more. PS: Its a must have from my side, Enjoy!!!

This and coffee Break are 2 of my favorite pickups for 2024 as I’m in LOVE with this juice !! Odyssey black opens up with a cherry cola,spicy but also semi sweet powdery vibe that is kind of familiar to a lot of popular scents but also kind of unique as well ! As the scent dries down it gets less sweet but more powdery and smooth as that Iris kicks in and you’re left with a warm,inviting,cozy scent that is very pleasant and appealing!! I’ve gotten a lot of positive feedback from this one and I’d say it’s going to become one of my most complimented scents in the very near future !! Performance on this is perfect for me as it lasts 8-12 hours and projects pretty noticeably but is never beast mode or overwhelming. If your office allows fragrance I’d say this would be a safe bet. However I’d say this is ideal for going out as it has some appeal to it and ladies seem to love this one as it’s a nice balance of fresh,sweet and spicy. I’ve never smelled Tom Ford Extreme but I can say it’s kind of similar to spice bomb and Spicebomb extreme (this is much less intense and more subtle) Overall rating -9 out of 10 ! 9 out of 10s are only reserved for my faves and this has easily become one of my favorite scent profiles and the fact that it’s cheap but smells expensive and performs definitely works in its favor

i really dont get people that say this is similar to dior homme, maybe just maybe if dhi was overloaded with vanilla yeah but it isnt. It opens ultra sweet and you might get reminded of 9pm or ultramale at first with that kind of bubble gummy smell but this one is more chocolatey bubblegumey, then it dries down to nice spicy powdery vanilla, i get iris even if its not listed, so chocolatey iris, vanilla, cardamom and sandalwood, its not as heavy as other vanilla fragrances and its great for the price, really good. It goes more into jpg le male le parfum direction than dhi, but u get traces of dhi, its not clone of dhi, not at all. And idk how tf noir extreme smells, you might also get reminded of spicebomb sometimes. I gotta note tho that it comes sometimes more woodier, or more sweet and syrupy, or it has great mix of woodiness and ambery vanilla, sometimes more iris, Really its a lottery, now i sprayed it and came more woody, but last time i did it came like perfect blend of woods and vanilla amber with iris, so yeah if u like polarizing scents great, not linear at all. Its always good tho, idk what u after, but great winter scent

I have liked Tom Ford's Noir Extreme when testing it, but not enough to spend that much coin on it. So, when I saw Odyssey for a steal, I sent for it. Early impressions (I'm wearing it today). It smells like TFNE, but softer, and not as harsh. I almost want to say it's "inspired by" rather than a straight clone. When TF is on my skin, it smells darker and bitting. Odyssey announces itself as well but with less abrasion. Keep in mind, I still find that Odyssey is a strong scent. I normally do three sprays of cologne (under clothes), sometimes two sprays if I am choosing a beast mode projector... I should have done just one spray with Odyssey Homme. It is strong. It's been three hours in, and it feels like I just sprayed it. My nose has yet to go blind to it. I like the scent - a lot. I am very curious to see how the scent will mature in storage until next winter. This is definitely meant for winter/cold nights in Spring/Fall. Also, I see the notes don't list tobacco... but, I smell tobacco. It's the sort of "sweet tobacco" that I get a note of in Insurrection II Wild. Call me crazy...

I think that, if you collect fragrances, you honestly get to a point where nothing smells unique anymore. Just all variations of the same ol' same ol'. I think I've arrived at that point in the journey... and Odyssey Homme is my Waterloo. At first spray, I thought "this smells nice," before realizing I have at least five frags that smell similar. If you have either Spicebomb or Spicebomb Extreme, anything from the SWY or The Most Wanted lines, or any of Khamrah flankers, you don't need this one, too. It brings nothing new to the table. Don't get me wrong, it's nice... but not groundbreaking. Lasts a good 8-10 hours with decent projection. Orange and vanilla on a woody base. Strong at first with a pleasant dry down. Stays pretty linear throughout. Sexy and masculine. Fall-Winter-Spring fragrance. Date night, dressy occasions, office appropriate. Just not anything new or exciting that hasn't been done many times before. A totally safe blind buy. Everyone will like this on you. I like it... but for some reason, was hoping for something a little different.

This is my #1 piece of evidence that "maceration" (which yes, I understand is a misnomer) is a real thing. I am VERY familiar with the profile here, and own several of the OG fragrances this allegedly dupes. Those I don't own I have sampled. When this first arrived I found it a disjointed, syrupy mess. No balance, terrible blending, more or less nauseating, and I was shocked it received such glowing reviews. I let it sit a couple months, and then it was "ah, there it is!" My nose did not become accustomed to the profile in that time--as I wrote above I was already quite familiar. The fragrance itself changed. It became what I see in all the glowing reviews--a well-blended, ambery, vanillic, wintertime scent with a very soft leather and spice undertone. In the ballpark of Select Night, Noir Extreme, etc. To my nose it's not a good clone of either of those but (perhaps by accident!) stands on its own as a fragrance in that family. Excellent value.

Let me say sorry to Creed fanatics, Tom Ford niche heads, and even private perfume house loyalists because the best perfume for men that was released this year belongs to a clone---this ultra-fusion scent inspired heavily by Christian Dior Homme Intense and Valentino Uomo Intense aptly named ODYSSEY HOMME Eau De Parfum by the UAE clone house of Armaf. I am actually voting for this scent as the best of 2020 for men. The perfect balance of sweetness that is far from being cloying is the best attribute of this perfume. Longevity may be average (3 hours max) and initial reactions of this perfume online may be targeting how ugly the bottle is, and how it blatantly copies two of the most loved perfumes for men but if you are able to try this scent, forget about what the snobs say. Batch 04/2023. this perfume is OK if you have 2 sprays max (for me, on the neck), does not cause a headache. The smell notes were already noticed by the previous reviewers, so I'll explain more about the performance. IMO this perfume is mostly linear. The early spray is too sweet, but after 10 minutes this perfume is a well-done job. it's hard to get the noseblind effect, so you can enjoy the whole day. this perfume is still too synthetic for me. It's OK if you want to use it on a general occasion, but for formal and date situations, I'd prefer to use another perfume instead of this. SPL is great, over 8 hours in the office with AC (not outdoor). Sillage is moderate for me, as I've always done 2 sprays max. For the general people who are not experienced with the perfumes, it's like Coca-Cola with candy and it wants you to sniff this perfume out for curiosity.

Wow. Yup. I love this. Vanilla made masculine. I don't usually gravitate towards sweet and vanilla scents but theres something so beautiful and alluring about this. Theres a dry almost dusty component that evens out the sweetness and a very well blended creamy iris to give it depth. To my nose, this is one of the best blended Armaf fragrances I have smelled. Definitely versatile in the cold weather, either day or night. Very long lasting and pretty strong too. I will say the first few sprays may be a strong, cloying, syrupy vanilla but DO NOT let that deter you from what this fragrance will become. I wouldn't really put this up to TFNE as a clone. It doesn't really have that coffin/varnish vibe that I get from TFNE. A lovely and versatile dry vanilla iris for cold weather - not much else to say. Great price and one of my favorite purchases as of late.

Really a great frag. It is very spicy and warm. Has some vanilla and something that smells like cinnamon but also not. It smells very unique an luxurious. Longitivity is okay, sillage is not extreme which is what I like because it will never be offensive. Depending on how much you spray ofcourse. The warmth and sweetness makes it a perfect winter scent or colder weather some people will say, however it can also be worn every season, just depending on what you like. truly reminds of tom ford noir extreme but with it's own unique twist. It is round and does not smell synthetic, like a lot dupes or inspired by may do. Overall a true masterpiece from ARMAF again. Love the house. for me a 9/10 rating overal. I’m not gonna lie, when I first got this I hated it. It was way too sweet, way too spicy, and honestly I thought it leaned kinda feminine. The balance felt messy and loud. I was actually annoyed that I blind bought it. I ended up just letting it sit for like 2 months. Now? Completely different story. It smells way smoother. The sweetness feels more controlled, the spices don’t attack my nose anymore, and the drydown is actually really nice. The vanilla and amber come out in a creamy way and the whole thing just feels more blended and rounded. Still not a safe blind buy though. If you don’t like sweet/spicy fragrances, this could easily turn you off at first. But yeah... this one really surprised me after some time. Definitely a grower.

This is fantastic. My favorite way of imagining the opening is the smell of a warm dr. pepper. The dry down is definitely reminiscent of Noir Extreme, but I’m going with like 80% accuracy to that fragrance. The iris is soft and smooth, not too makeup-y at all. It will be getting overplayed this coming winter. As a clone of NE, it’ll be that 8/10 I mentioned. As its own fragrance without trying to compare them, this is a 10/10 for me. I feel like no matter who smells me when I’m wearing it, they will be pleased. The longevity and sillage also leave very little to be desired. If I scale the safeness of blind buying, 7 sounds about right. It’s just a little on the sweet side, so some may not fall in love with that part.

This is an incredible fragrance which is comparable to Tom Ford Noir Extreme with a sweeter, creamier twist. It doesn't have the kulfi note but everything else is there. It's borderline identical until you get to the last bits of the drydown which include a creamy vanilla and a touch of iris. This isn't a replica for any of the Dior Homme/Valentino Uomo fragrances. Not even close. The iris is much more subdued. Long-lasting without being a strong projector. I get about 7-8 hours on skin with 4 hours of moderate projection. For the price you really cannot find much better than this. Would highly recommend trying for anyone who likes Noir Extreme. I'll be wearing. the crap out of this during the coming colder months.

This one is wow for me. I blind bought based on YT, tiktok etc reviews and my first impression was ouch it is too sweet for me. Currently using for a few days and I love it. It starting like sweet coke little powdery than transfer little bit to the spicebomb extreme area for a while and after drydown it reminds me DHI. It does not last so long IMO about 5 hours and after dry down it becomes more skin scent I would say. Edit: Currently my most used frag. The magic of this scent is the drydown, If I spray this one, I have to spray more than with the other frags I have. Here 9-12, usually I use maximally 3-7 depending. In order to get better longevity and silage, the overspray is a must.

Mildly lipsticky, leather vanilla spicy. Good performance, good projection. Quite enjoyable for cold days and nights. If you like this sort of scent profile, and can get it for a good price from discounters - this is a win. I really enjoy spicy sweet for the fall and winter. Also, not specific to this fragrance, be careful with fake Armaf and Rasasi from China. Yes, they do exist because they might seem cheap to Americans, but they are very profitable yet to the counterfeiters from the other side of the globe and middle men in America looking to profit more from the arrogance of people that think: "who would counterfeit a 20-50 bucks 'dupe'?"

I've seen a couple reviews that mention Coca-Cola as a note they are getting. I see the soda reference, but I'm getting more of a root beer or cream soda kind of vibe off of this on the opening. I really like this scent. I'm not getting a lot of the leather on the dry down, but there is a little bit of it there. That would be my only complaint would be that I would like to have the leather be just a bit more prominent. The quality is amazing for the price you pay. All of them from the Odyssey line that I have tried seem to be very good quality for how cheap you can find them. I would definitely recommend this one.

It's a really good one for layering. It doesn't project a lot and has mild longevity. Opening smells close to Spicebomb Dark Leather and dry down is like 40% Dior Homme parfum. Dry down sits closer to the skin with a powdery, vanillic white suede scent that's very soothing. Smells very intimate and intoxicating in the dry down. Best layered with Dior Homme intense dupes or any gourmand fragrance. It's a nice base to make any gourmand perfume smell more sensual. Scent doesn't have depth but is a 10/10 for the price Don't expect wonders, it's just a very nice intimate scent that's unforgettable.

This is a cozy, appealing, powdery cosmetic iris note with vanilla and amber warmth. I bought this after being obsessed with TF Noir Extreme and find this a lighter more appealing take on that DNA. I love Noir Extreme, but it is certainly divisive to people you may encounter so for value and potential frequent use, this is a great purchase. A unisex fragrance, but I do feel it leans a little more masculine with its spicy notes. Cooler weather profile, for evening and dressier events. Performance is solid but not aggressive, just go light on the trigger and this is a very inviting profile.

I love it!! You can even overspray cz the dry down is kinda like a nice subtle skin scent. It's very addicting. Nothing crazy or over the top. Perfect for winter and date nights. Just a nice add-on for layering. Ladies seem to really like it😆. Not niche or designer level in terms of scent profile but worth getting if you like powdery, white suede scents. For the price I give it a solid 8/10. If the dry down had more depth and was more potent, I'd give it a 10. PS: inconsistencies in batches and has become one of my most complimented sexy-fragrance.

A little dissapointed as it doesnt smell that close to when i first smelled it at the store. It smells a lot more syrupy than i remember. Its still not bad at all to me it kind of smells like a doctor pepper but with a heavier vanilla. Armaf doesnt seem to macerate their fragrances for very long, happened with my odyssey limoni bottle too where after letting it sit for 2 months it smells way better than before and you can actually smell the tea note in that now. So i think im going to let this sit for a little while and then come back to it

Odyssey Homme is definitely one of my favorites, really cheap and smells expensive. A beautiful spicy opening with Cardamom and Mandarin that develops into a warm vanilla with a really nice woody background. I haven't used it in a while since it's currently summer where I live but I took it out to smell on my skin again today and it was beautiful, I can't wait til the spring cold weather hits so I can use this outside. A solid 8/10 that can be used in most situations (during colder weather). Excellent buy.

I got this black Odyssey from aArmaf today along with Odyssey Limoni Fresh ffom Armaf. Before I had Odyssey Mandarin Sky. This Black one is the most grounded of those three. Never had Tom Ford but this is good stuff! Vanilla/Amber frooty smelling classic.I feel like this should not offend anyone and could be a regular on me. I'm 47 years old and it's fall. This is mass appealing and comfortable. I'll be wearing this next few days to check it out. It's not getting on my nerve and I really like it.

I had to come back and review this again because this is simply amazing, my guys. My goodness precious lord!! Shout out to Armaf and the perfumer(s) that created this master piece. If you’re reading this..... just buy it. Pull that trigger!!! EDIT: I’m telling you, when the breeze hits this! I’ve got compliments both of the times I wore this by a man and woman. The same situation.. the breeze hit them with this masterpiece, both from a far distance, and they loved it.

Absolutely amazed by how good the scent is. Definitely a good blind buy because of how good the warm spiciness is. Has a slight powdery feel to it yet it doesn't overpower the main warm spiciness it has. The vanilla notes also work wonders. I'd say that this is a good fragrance for night dates or night hangout. Absolutely recommend just because how nice this smells in a cold environment. Blind buy worthy, and a 10/10 recommend.

It's amazing! Smells so seductive and longevity is pretty nice! Winter frag for any condition, not only for date or night. I don't think it's so close to Noir Extreme as something was missing when I compare them side by side (but I can't say what is or which note as I'm not that much pro to feel all the notes). But they both share the same DNA somehow. Highly recommend "if you like" the DNA.

Masterpiece! One of the most wonderful perfumes I’ve tried, it needs time to mature but after that it’s really good. It gives off a sweet, soft feeling (my girlfriend said she wants to hug me all day when I wear this). I would recommend it exclusively for cold weather. Some compare it to Tom Ford Noir Extreme, but it has nothing to do with it. This is much sweeter and more youthful.

This one smells fantastic. Not too sweet but still warm, creamy and cozy. I pick some smokiness, some tobacco. It is quite simple and linear, and indeed it resembles other iris-based scents, which is great because this one is a fraction of the price of the other ones so you can save your dior homme or Noir Extreme to special occasions and use this one as a cheapie. 9/10

Not smelled TF noir so I can't comment about that. But certainly not even close to DHI. Iris is missing ,so does the Opening is spice bomb , dry down is sweeter and milder. Longevity and sillage are not that good ,but when I tried slightly over spraying I get good performance. If you like spicy, Amber and slightly sweet smell this is safe blind buy. Worth every penny.

Gorgeous fragrance that is perfect for the refined gentleman, not overly sweet just the perfect amount of amber and vanilla with the leather base that is a killer combo. If you are in the market for a grown man gormand fragrance this is it guys, the quality of this juice is ridiculous for the price. In my opinion this is the perfect fragrance to blind buy.

One of those that needs to be sprayed 10 times & put away for a month or longer. If you can do that, it’ll be one of the best value fragrances you’ll own. Had mine 8 months & it’s still getting better. Will be perfect for the late fall into winter. Not sure what it’s trying to dupe but for $20 it’s a 10/10 for me. What more can you ask for that price?

Fantastic clone of dior homme, smells identical. I often like to layer it with either oud attar or lagerfeld classic. Oud makes the scent come off as sweeter, on the other hand when I layer it with lagerfeld the scent is more balanced with armaf giving off a sweet fragrance while lagerfeld gives off a spicy, soapy almost aftershave vibe.

This is very interesting to say the least. I do actually enjoy this fragrance for sure, unlike any in my collection. Lots of reviews mention the vanilla which I don't get really... well maybe a little. To my nose I get this note of licorice root / root beer with some spicey iris. Performance is good, price is great. (8.5/10)

The opening reminds Spicebomb infrared due to the aggresiveness of the spices, while the drydone it surely moves away from the spicebomb and moves towards the tom ford noir extreme smell. To be more accurate the dry down falls somewhere between Mercedes Benz Select and Tom ford noir extreme. Amazing fragrance for the price!

This is a sensational fragrance, high quality, strong and unique. It's in the same path of Tom Ford Noir Extreme but they are not identical, this goes on another direction and in my opinion it does it perfectly, becoming better than TF NE. For 9 euros it's probably the best bang for buck in my entire collection. 9/10

This will get you 70% -75% of the way to TF Noir Extreme. I find this to be a bit easier to wear and a bit more mass appealing than the TF. Bought this one first and loved it so I Got the TF and was a bit disappointed because I liked this one more. Still love the TF but idk if it was worth the price difference.

I bought it completely blind, trusting the majority vote that it was the closest to Tom Ford Noir Extreme. You can sense the connection, but this one is a little fruitier. It's about 70% Noir Extreme. I don't regret buying it at all, because I've used it all up by now, but I'm not sure I would buy it again.

Got it this week. No need for masceration. Didn't get any harsh opening either. Smells like Spicebomb mixed with crafted root beer. I absolutely love this scent profile. Quality is very decent and longevity was a non issue. Especially on clothes. But on skin , an easy 6 hours. Recommending 4-6 sprays.

Just try this one after macerating it after 2-3 months, it will get better over time even I didn't like it much in the start, it is beautiful in the air, smells really close to tom ford noir extreme. Up close it might feel strong but the magic of it is in the air and it really feels smooth at that

Exactly like BruceKnight says, it smells like spice bomb extreme mixed with Tom fords Noir Extreme. It resembles TF Noir Extreme and is stronger. It's unbelievable given the price. You can't go wrong with this one if you like TF NE or SB Extreme. It's not exactly the same, but pretty close.

Today I had a full day wear of this fragrance it's beautiful but am not getting much of tom ford noir extreme may be because it's minus 10 outside that it's really difficult to pick up on any scent while outside in such cold weather? But even at home am not getting the noir extreme vibes!

I wore this fragrance on Christmas. To be fair, I have never smelled tom ford noir, but the fragrance as a stand-alone is great. It lasted all night, and I went back to the sweater 2 days later and it still was strong. Longevity is amazing, It smells great, on skin and on clothes.

This is getting better more I smell! Price per performance is amazing. This starts with a warm blanket of iris and leather wrapping around warm sweet spices - nutmeg, star anise and cardamom. Delicate and smells like an exotic dessert to my nose, but is not too sweet!

An inoffensive, cheaply priced Vanilla, Iris, and ambery fragrance! Blind buy worthy imo. I dig the scent profile and it lasts about 8 hours on me with whiffs of it throughout the day. I do overspray this one because it's not very expensive. I'd give it an 8/10

This is a very Oriental fragrance indeed, I would say even Spicy Oriental, with the ideal flowers to envelope the spices with exquisite powder, and a subtle leather to cushion the hit. A banger for the fall, been enjoying it quite a lot.

Just loved it ! After 30 seconds initially, all you get is creamy iris and vanilla with a Coca Cola accord, with a decent projection and longevity in colder temperature especially. Too good for the price it is available. Recommended !!

Blind bought this recently, and it is a safe blind buy in my opinion. Opens up vanilla with some amber and has a vanilla/Bubblegum drydown. Great Date Night scent and lasts about 6 hours on my skin. On clothes i easily get 8 hours.
