Odyssey Mandarin Sky Elixir

Very much so designer quality fragrance, and that's not a bad thing. The elixir is very well blended. If you put this in a JPG bottle and charged $85usd, I wouldn't think twice. This stuff is strong, almost TOO strong for high heat. The lavender, tonka, and caramel really shines through on skin in the dry down, and that's what makes this DNA so familiar. It's JPG to a T. The opening welcomes you with that orange note that isn't offensively bright. The lavender balances this out quite well. Mandarin Sky Elixir is a bit sweet, so I'd be easy on the sprays, even in the cold. I do 3-4 sprays, and im set for the whole day. I'd say.... 12hrs+ of fairly strong performance on clothes, and at least 8hrs of this fragrance radiating off of your skin. Scent profile is meant to be very mass appealing, and it accomplishes that. There's nothing offensive about this. I'd say that this is a really safe daily driver, and even office scent. I've worn this in extreme high heat, but do no more than 2 sprays on clothes. The citruses in this composition are just enough to balance this out from being TOO heavy. For the price, I'd pick one up. If you like the JPG DNA, and want a dumb reach fragrance, get this. My current daily line up is Thomas Kosmala Star Chaser, Sospiro Vibrato, Aventus Absolu, and now this.

Okay, so I hate to sound like a snob, but I generally dislike dupes. However, my friend and I were checking out an arab clone shop and out of all the ones I tested, this one stood out to me. My friend ended up gifting it to me since I said it was the best out of the bunch we tried. This was despite smelling it on my wrist, where it resulted in a screechy and harsh chemical smell for me. However, I later remembered that "beast mode" fragrance generally dont smell good on the skin ,Megamare which I own being a good example. These are supposed to leave a beautiful scent trail. So then I tried spraying it on my legs, and as I walked outside on a sunny June day I got a whiff of that beautiful sillage. The mandarin smells very realistic here, and really freshens this up to the point where I genuinely don't understand how people are calling this a winter fragrance. This is a great value fragrance, but it's not supposed to be for date nights or when you will be getting intimate with someone LOL. It's way too strong and harsh up close. It's a room filler, it commands presence, and it envelops you in a zesty, feel-good aura. Although sweeter than my usual fragrances, I find this very unisex. 10/10 for the value. Comparing by scent alone and ignoring price, I'd say this is a 7/10.

The easiest way to describe this is as the love child Jean Paul Gaultier's Scandal and Rabanne's Invictus Victory Elixir. This is a gourmand lover's dream, blending very strong sweet, citrus, vanilla, spicy, floral, smoky and musky aromas together. You'll get prominent notes of orange, lavender, cardamom, vanilla, caramel and vetiver. This is quite sweet, and as such will appeal more to younger users than older ones. It is quite sweet, so those who dislike sweet fragrances should avoid, particularly older users who prefer drier fragrances. Gourmand lovers will especially appreciate this. Highly recommended.

Right off the top you get mandarin, vanilla, tonka, and caramel. Very beautiful combination. Not way too sweet or Gourmand thanks to the Mandarin that slightly freshens it up. If you tried Mandarin Sky, then this will be pretty redundant, as it's just a much better version of it (IMO). It lowers the playfulness and versatility a bit, but still keeps it sweet and not too serious. I even prefer it to Checkmate King, even though it's not as rich. As it dries down, it becomes more vanilla/tonka dominant, with some patchouli to ground it a bit. I've heard it described as Mandarin Sky mixed with Invictus Victory Elixir. I fully agree with that description, and I think it's better than both! Subjective Scent Score: 9.2. Combining 2 of my favorites into 1. Longevity: 9.1 (10 hours) Projection: 8.6 (strong, almost a room filler for the first 1-2 hours). Blind buy safety score: 8.0. A hybrid of 2 very well loved and popular fragrances. I wore this at work today and got the most compliments I've ever had. I did spray it on clothes and skin to see how it transforms. The opening is sweet (I'd say more from the tonka bean, because I didnt pick up vanilla or caramel yet), juicy oranges, with that signature JPG lavender and mint. On clothes, it stays sweet but the orange lavender mint calms down just a little. The mid dry down on skin, the sweetness turns smoother, I think from the vanilla. The lavender keeps it clean smelling and the mint turns slightly earthy maybe from the pepper, cardamon and patchouli. It stayed 4 hours plus in the mid. I dont know when the full dry down on skin happened but this went to slightly sweet caramel and vetiver. It was still clean smelling but all the other notes vanished. On clothes it stayed sweet, orangy, clean lavender, with some pepper, and vanilla woods. The longevity is beastly. Skin scent over 12 hours. The sillage 6 to 8 hrs. This stuff radiated off me. It was a little warm at work and it was almost too sweet but not too bad. Easy on the sprays in high heat.

I have both the Elixir and the original Mandarin Sky from Armaf. They are both great. The OG is more straight-up fruit juice smelling and sweet. This Elixir version it’s a little less sweet, and a little more masculine. You can’t go wrong with either, but my preference is this Elixir version for sure. My only complaint about both though is that they are a little on the weak side in terms of projection and lasting power. I really have to overspray them to get an effect in either of those two categories. Sent wise, absolutely phenomenal - 10 out of 10 This elixir version is 100% blind-buy safe in my opinion. The original Mandarin Sky Limited edition is a bit more sweet/unisex leaning so I would say that’s less something you wanna blindly pick up unless you generally like those fragrance notes or a really sweet fragrances. I love both though. Some of the best of the Odyssey line, and most of this line is excellent in my opinion.

this stuff SCREAMS off my skin for the first 2 hours or so lol. seems to appeal more to younger people in my experience. wore 5 sprays the first day i wore it and it was definitely at least one spray too many lol. smells good tho. inoffensive. i don’t really get caramel. i mostly get vanilla, pepper, patchouli and vetiver. the citrus is only in the opening. edit: becoming one of my favorite fragrances. the longevity on my skin is actually unbelievable. like still a skin scent at the 30 hour mark. a guy on reddit said it only lasts him 1.5 hours and it’s like...how could we have the same fragrance lol. edit 2: this fragrance is without a doubt nuclear on me lmao. i wore one too many sprays today and my coworker said he could smell it from over 20 feet away. idk why it’s so strong on me. anything over 3 sprays is almost brutal. it’s getting stronger as it ages it seems.

God I love this fragrance. By far my favorite in Armaf's Odyssey line. While it still has the inviting caramel and citrus of its OG, the vanilla and lavender add an extra layer that not only make it special, but creates a whole identity for this cologne. The sweetness is addicting, the lavender is comforting, and the citrus adds a small twinge that makes your nose hairs stand up. Incredibly unisex and versatile. Performance is superb, especially if you take price into consideration. This will last 8 hours on my skin consistently and stains my clothes till they are washed. The projection is perfect. People close by will smell it, but it won't gag a room. I've noticed after long wear on clothes the scent can become soapy, but if you are hygienic that literally wont be a problem. THIS IS A BANGER CHEAPIE! Longevity: 9/10 - Projection: 8/10 - Overall: 8/10

Update: This has fast become my favorite scent in my collection for now. It has made many of my previous winter go-tos redundant to the point where I'm actually emptying out my collection. My girlfriend's favorite and have also gathered a couple of compliments from friends, which is rare. Armaf knocked it out the park with this creamy, balanced scandal. Wouldn't suggest a blind buy unless you like aromatic DNA (Scandal, Eros, etc.), but this will probably be the first frag that I get a 2nd bottle of. Without hyperbole 10/10 scent. Only downside is that I dont personally think it performs like an elixir yet, about 2 hours max until skin scent, but that might be due to nose-blindness. All compliments have been gathered within 2 hours of spraying.

Bought this fragrance a week ago because Ive been looking for a new daytime/ everyday scent, but was met withe this subtle but alluring orange citrus in the opening to a sweet caramel/ vanilla combo. I’ve can confidently say it’s not a summertime fragrance due to the high heat and humidity of FL, but anything temperature under 75 degrees and it’s a banger scent. I’ve been asked on multiple occasions what am I wearing and my fiancé has stopped me multiple days asking what fragrance is that. One of my coworkers has even purchased his own bottle. It may not be for everyone but it’s definitely for me, I’m a big fan of fresh scents. Warm, boozy and sweet are is my preference. Definitely blind buy safe if you fit that category.

It opens like 60% Invictus Victory Elixir - 40% Mandarin Sky (It has the strong black pepper opening of IVE, and the citrus blast of Mandarin Sky). Dries down to 85% Invictus Victory Elixir - 15% Mandarin Sky. This one is not redundant if you own Mandarin Sky, but redundant if you own Invictus Victory Elixir or any of its clones. If the overbearing sweetness of Victory Elixir scares you, don't worry, here it is way more balanced, as this is not a 1 to 1. After 1 hour of applying, this smells like a slightly cleaner version of IVE. It is still sweet, strong and slightly spicy just like IVE, but with a clean touch that makes it not so sickly sweet.

Mixes sweet, fresh, and aromatics into one beautiful fragrance. The vanilla reminds me of the type of vanilla in Invictus Victory Elixir and the mandarin orange is beautiful. Last a very long time too. 8-10+ hours noticeable on my skin and even longer on clothing. Can pretty much wear whenever you feel like as well without offending the nose. Only downside is when first got this in the orange was a little harsh and longevity was OK but after about 2 weeks it smoothed out completely and the longevity improved to the beast like longevity it has today.

I got this because I've been looking for a sweet and zesty orange scent, and I haven't tested the perfumes that this reminds you all of. And it works and I like it a lot. But as a woman, I honestly don't think there's anything masculine about this scent. Obviously everyone should wear what they want but I find it funny that a marketing department was able to pull this off and make this scent believable as a men's perfume. Just a tad of spice doesn't make an orange candy smell masculine! This is unisex leaning feminine in my opinion.

I appreciate the dry down from this scent as it progresses through the day. The opening citrus comes off spicy and harsh over multiple wears, but relaxes into a caramel and slightly woody scent. What impresses me is the longevity of this fragrance that projects well into 5-6 hours, and even through 12 hours, I still get whiffs of it. It can be smelled as a skin scent all the way into the 22nd hour. It is currently my signature scent due to its playful scent and long-lasting performance.

This is a stunning perfume, the citrus in this smells fresh and clean, sweet but not too sweet- I don’t know perfume notes etc but to me this smells like liquid brun with oranges. It is addictive, only just got it and my partner has stolen it. 3 hours in and this is still projecting, I find myself frequently sniffing my wrist to get a hit, i’ve never smelled any of the other fragrances in this line so cannot compare to the OG. Totally a unisex fragrance not to girly or too manly.

This feels like a higher contrast take on the original Mandarin Sky. It's brighter up top, sweeter in the drydown, with a more noticeable dose of vanilla. Honestly, to my nose, it’s like a hybrid between Scandal and Invictus Victory Elixir. If you already own Armaf Mandarin Sky or Armaf Checkmate King, you probably don’t need this. This one is a very interesting one. Read many positive reviews and decided to pull the trigger. I do not know if this smells like mandarin sky, but this definitely smells like having combined PR Invictus elixir along with PR phantom intense! which is a very interesting winter fragrance combination. Check production date on the bottom of your bottle as mine needed so time to mature. Letting it mature gained projection and the smell became richer

I loved the original as well but I love this even more. For me this is a deeper and mature smelling masculine fragrance while the original was a bit fresher to me. Performance is on a really high level: after 4 hours I sprayed on, projection is still pretty decent, it's definetely 8+ hours. I would use the original in the summer and spring and use this in winter/autumn season (or the whole year). Much recommended, worth the price!

All-purpose summer companion. Slow days, polenta cakes and spritzes. They've nailed the balance here: this is has the mellow zing of orange zest, and not the sharpness of orange juice. All the better for it. Starts out strong and refreshing, grows warmer as it dries down, and genuinely lasts. Ludicrous value for the longevity and profile. Another fun bottle design from Armaf too.

Bought the original mandarin sky 2 years ago, was a straight banger, beast mode longevity and projection. I was at a birthday party wearing that and some dude asked if i was wearing jpg scandal. Purchased the elixir today and from the first 3 sprays i can tell this is also nuclear and more rounded smell wise. If you like this mandarin sexy creamy dna it's a 100% worth buying

This stuff smells just amazing. The sweet citruses are well defined but don't overcompensate. It's sweet, gourmand and lasts ages. 24 hours on clothes. Make sure you don't overspray. It's one hell of a beast. Projects also massively. Top notch mixture. Fall/winter/Spring Frag...or...as some would say...if you like the smell, just wear it whenever you want.

Having a decant of scandal, this has a very similar opening, but it replaces some of the aromatic touch with a creamy undertone. The drydown is a nice vanilla, have never smelt victory elixir, but if this is the scent, I can see why its so popular. Actually impressive how close to scandal they got. A solid blind buy for me.

Very nice fragrance. For that amount of money this is very good fragrance. It is fresh but sweet. Not too much sweet. Somehow nice sweet. Very good blended mandarin and caramel vanila sweetnes...... It is definitly not for hot summer days. For 34eur this is excellent fragrance.

Bought this for my boyfriend and I love it! Tried it on my skin too but it's a little too masculine for me. Just the right amount of citrusy-sweet without smelling like cleaning product, with some added warmth to balance it out. One of my favorites for him so far!

I wore this for the first time today and went shopping with mum. Four strangers walked up to me to tell me how marvellous I smelled. Nuff said. So much for "headache-inducing" (which is impossible), "synthetic", and all of those negative and deprecating comments.

This one’s awesome, this line from Armaf has gotten a bit crowded but this one definitely deserves its spot. It’s fresh and smooth and carries beautiful in the breeze. 10/10 recommend for something tropical and clean without being generic.

Amazing fragrance for everyday use. I blind bought it and i don't regret it. On my skin it lasts around 9 hours with 3 hours strong projection. It also got me tons of compliments. I highly recommend this fragrance to every younger guy.

Opening ---------- From the start, it’s sweet, but in a pleasant and fairly smooth way. It doesn’t hit you as aggressively as some heavier compositions. Instead, it immediately shows its warm, sweet and slightly spicy character. The opening settles down quickly and doesn’t become tiring, so it’s easy to get used to. Drydown ---------- As it develops, caramel, lavender, cardamom and vanilla stand out the most. They take the lead and define the whole character of the fragrance. The rest of the notes feel more like background support rather than something that really changes the experience. Overall, it strongly resembles the vibe of Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male Elixir and Lattafa Kingdom for Men, but the key difference is in how the sweetness is balanced. Those use tobacco to add contrast and edge. Here, that role is replaced by a smoky note, and that’s where things get a bit tricky. With heavier application or up close, it can lean into a church incense kind of smell. It doesn’t completely ruin the fragrance, but it takes away some balance and makes it feel a bit too sweet and slightly flat. It’s missing that dry, more masculine edge that would tie everything together. On skin, the fragrance leans heavily into a uniform sweetness. The citrus notes almost disappear, leaving mainly a warm, sweet base. It’s smooth and pleasant, but less interesting. On clothes, it performs much better. Versatility ----------- This is definitely a fragrance for cooler days. Autumn, winter and cooler spring evenings are where it fits best. For summer, it will likely feel too heavy. It’s not overly masculine and sits quite close to unisex. At the same time, it’s pleasant enough to appeal to many people. It’s a safe kind of scent that’s easy to like, although you do need to enjoy sweeter compositions. Overall Impression --------------------- This is simply a good, sweet fragrance built on a proven formula. The issue is that similar compositions tend to do it a bit better. The biggest downside for me is the smoky note, which sometimes leans into incense and takes away from the overall balance. If it used tobacco or something drier like stronger woody notes instead, the result would be much more interesting. Still, it remains a pleasant and wearable fragrance, especially if you enjoy sweet scents. Alternatives ------------- The closest comparison is Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male Elixir, which does a very similar thing but with better balance and refinement. The tobacco note makes a big difference and gives it more character. Lattafa Kingdom for Men leans even further into tobacco and feels more bold and aggressive. It has more character, but less smoothness. Compared to these, this fragrance feels softer and sweeter, but also less distinctive. On clothes, the slight citrus touch from the orange does help break the sweetness a bit, but it still lacks those more masculine, bitter notes. Final Thoughts ----------------- This is a fragrance that’s simply pleasant and easy to wear, but it lacks a bit of character. It works best with moderate application and especially on clothes. If the sweetness was broken up more effectively, it could be a really great scent. As it is, it’s a solid choice, as long as you don’t mind the slightly incense-like character, which personally I’m not the biggest fan of. Rating ------- 7/10

My opinion after wearing for 3 days, temp this days 27-30°c usually 3-4 spray 2 in skin and 2 in clothes and i dont like how scandal smell but I'm happy to tell you that this perfume is not like scandal, yea is sweet and you can feel the vanilla but is not that sweet, the mandarine notes is there and will stay long time. I don't get any spicy notes on this one. For me I dont get huge projection is moderate for 3 hour then it will come skin scent...last around 6 hour both skin and clothes but i can't feel it when I'm outside it's a strange behavior i can feel it just when I'm indoors maybe i get nose blind or my perfume need to stay in maceration my batch tell is from 2/2026 i check my batch in fragrance site and it give me that is from 2014 i think this is a error... Overall is not that wow like others votes or say in review it's too much for me in summer maybe only nights and I think this perfume work more better in the spring or autumn... For now i dont get any compliments when i wearing this one....i will come back with update after 1 month of maceration.

I put this cologne on one hour before I went to the gym. I was there for two hours. As I’m walking to my car, just finished with the gym, I could smell a sweet aroma of maple syrup. I looked around desperately trying to see what that smell was. It was me. I was probably in the gym over-boarding peoples nostrils with my sweet cologne. Not to mention it was 104F° I was probably gassing people in the sauna. Here’s my real review. This fragrance opens up with a masculine citrusy date-night scent, then drys down to a sweet vanilla/caramel sexy blend. I’d say this fragrance leans more towards men, and is pretty good for the price point. It’s definitely a fall scent, I would hate to smell this at 8am so I’d say it’s also a night scent. It lasts around 5-6 hours, and you can definitely air out a whole room with it, so be generous with the amount of sprays. This cologne has shocked me in many ways for the price point. 7.5/10 might be too sweet for some people. I’d say it’s blind buy safe for men as it’s not relatively expensive.

I didn't necessarily have high expectations with this fragrance. I think the bottle looks atrocious and I've never smelled the original that this was inspired by. Over all for the price and acent profile i thought it was rather enjoyable. Mandarin Sky Elixir opens up with a nice aromatic spicyness complimented by the citrus in the fragrance amd the opening sticks around for awhile before the heart of the fragrance arrives. In the mid a nice caramel note that is supported by incense, patchouli, and tonka bean arrives that blends nicely with the opening. Mandarin Sky Elixir has great performance on my skin and to my nose i would say this is a very mass appealing scent profile. The dry down is a nice vanilla and for a $40-ish dollar fragrance you really can't go wrong.

Quite a nice frag, very similar to PR Victory Elixir, JPG Scandal & others out there. I absolutely detest these tacky looking bottles in this Odyssey range though, they look like something produced by Fisher-Price for Dora the Explorer, a different bottle would make them way more desirable, it’s the kind of bottle design you just want to hide away out of sheer embarrassment for me at least. Initial testing gives me just 3hrs longevity before it’s pretty much gone with medium projection, which is a bit disappointing but still smells quite decent.

To me it smells extremely similar to Azzaro The Most Wanted, with an added note of citrus. Really pleasant, cozy kind of smell, but not something unique and could be definitely a daily considering its versatility. It was dirt cheap ($27), but the smell I get for this doesn't feel cheap or chemical, as most cheap fragrances do. It's a great alternative to TMW and other designer fragrances, maybe even better considering the longevity and projection I get on this. My final rating would be a 8-8.5/10.

Very intoxicating, in a good way. I feel like its one of those smells that you get a whiff of and it grabs your attention. The mandarin and orange make it a nice fresh smell and then the creaminess in the background adds on to the sweetness. Very good price for what you get too!

I do not understand why some have said that this can't be used in the summer. It's got plenty of citrus to keep it fresh and it's light on the sweetness. I say it's a all year day or night fragrance. Lavender is a pretty versatile scent as well.

I have Rananne Invictus Victory Elixir as well. The opening smells, to my nose, a lot alike. They are both amazing fragrances. It may be a bit redundant to have them both, in my opinion only.

Very redundant if you have OG mandarin sky and/or Armaf King. If you don't have either of those then go for this one. It's very sweet so I guess they amped up the vanilla

Just not it yesterday, nice and good projection but for the life of me I can't smell a single note of Mandarin or any type of citrus.
