Pink Coral

#1160 in my "Tour de Fragrance" I don't usually post reviews of the fragrances I buy for the women in my life (I am blessed to have some amazing women in my life that are beautiful inside and out). But not reviewing those fragrances seems an oversight on my part since I am sure there are women curious to know what men think of the fragrances they're considering. So here goes. I had previously purchased several of the men's scents from Armaf's "Niche" line and had one to go, and thought I'd get the best rated women's versions for a girlfriend who is also a fragrance collector who is just dipping her toes in the Middle East fragrance houses. I probably like this scent more than any of the 100+ I've gotten for her. It's very subtle, light, fresh and feminine, with none of the usual toffee and amber overload so many fragrances have today. And it's a new experience for me because I've avoided Chanel for years, primarily because my mother and sister wore Chanel almost exclusively. So for me the smell of Chanel has always had a libido-killing association for me. There seems to be consensus that this smells like "Coco Noir" a scent mom and sis never wore, so I'm good with this. I love smelling it. I'm imagining smelling this on my girlfriend as she tans by the pool in her bikini and .... Any way, I find this juice really attractive and light enough to enhance the delicious natural scent of her skin, not bury it. So, I'm glad I bought it.

CHANEL-ESQUE. Opens with a sparkly orange burst supported by multi-faceted bergamot with peach-orange hues, that deepens into the floral heart of rose & jasmine, resting on the musky patchouli-vanilla base supported by multi-faceted vetiver. I aslo get a faint clove note, contributing to a faint gingerale vibe way in the background. Overall, this has a vaguely Chanel vibe with elements from Coco, Coco Mad & Coco Noir. I agree with reviewer Ferra_Verto below who says "the sweetness of Coco Mademoiselle with the depth of Coco Noir, very much layering the two scents together..." This also has reminders for me of 1969 Histoires de Parfums (allegedly worn by Angelina Jolie). Has excellent performance for a year-round wearing experience. It's a love for me. Enjoy!

To me, this resembles both Coco Noir and Coco Mademoiselle Intense! But I find Coco Noir and Coco Mademoiselle Intense to be similar to each other anyway, though I've only done side by side sniffing on paper strips, not on skin. Could be much more different on skin :) Bought it blind cause I love Coco Noir and I also flippin love Pink Coral! It could even be better than Coco Noir and Coco Mademoiselle Intense, stronger and longer lasting. I'm crazy for the drydown on fabric especially. I'm so excited to own it every time I smell my bottle! :) EDIT: Id still say it leans more Coco Noir tho. Also, I smell something almost honey-like, not sure where it is coming from :)

The sweetness of Coco Mademoiselle with the depth of Coco Noir, very much layering the two scents together. Opening is a very bright and sweet sparkling orange jasmine accord, which pares down to a thickly persistent (and lightly spicy) vanilla-patchouli base. Lasts 12+ hrs with major projection, doesn't really become a skin scent. Suited all year-round, but I think will shine more in spring & autumn months.

This is an excellent dupe for Chanel Coco Noir. In my opinion, it's better than the original. It's strong and long lasting. Edit 06/25 - I now smell orange soda and fecal patchouli. Maybe it aged poorly even though stored correctly 🤷but it smells like trash... perhaps it always did

They should have named this Black Coral. It is similar to Chanel Coco Noir which l wore before. A very good unisex scent. Classy and expensive smelling. For now l can wear this before buying another Coco Noir. Nice price, too.

It's been 13 hours and Armaf Pink Coral still going strong on my skin, it's a gorgeous beast.

I really love this one. A very cute and sweet fragrance

It is my first Armaf, and I am very surprised. The presentation it's amazing, the box and bottle are gourgeous and feel luxurious. The scent feels good. I will update with longevity and projection when I wear it more often. On my first impressions, it feels unisex and i can feel the pachuli. It's not sweet at all. A little sharp. I was looking for something like coco noir, but I don't think I would wear that much because I am not a Chanel girl, So I didn't want to risk so much money on it. I think it will complete my perfume collection. Edit: I have been wearing this one a few days in a row and it's an ok perfume, but not a love. While it has amazing lasting power, it's a little bit too serious and dense for me. To compare them, I went to a perfume shop and tested Coco Noir, and they are similar in the opening, but after 5 minutes the original it's beautiful and stil fresh, meanwhile the armaf one it's dense and strong. After a few hours you can find some similarities again, but CN its way more nicer, wearable and prettier.

This is an amazing perfume for Chanel fans. At a price point of around $25 for a 3.4 ounce bottle, you get the best of Chanel Coco EDT and Chanel Coco Mademoiselle in one well composed bottle. Is it a dupe, no. It is better. The combination of both fragrance DNAs makes for a masterpiece. And better still, this brand (one I have not heard of) produces high quality perfume at an exceptional value. The scent starts off with a burst of citrus reminiscent of its Mademoiselle cousin and then mellows into a deeper patchouli musky Coco that lingers with a hint of spice. It is seductive and reeks of wealth. This is worth a blind buy if you like Coco and/or Coco Mademoiselle.

So I just received this today I want to make clear this is nothing like Coco Noir by Chanel.. it seems to have its own little vibe.. for just a ‘second’ it smells reminiscent of coco noir, but that quickly dissipates.. and I mean quick .. to me it smells more like the original poison a bit cloying and sickening sweet on the dry down , but lasts a long time. That’s about as realistic of a review as you can get.. I don’t think it’s awful. I just think there’s a time and a place for it. more like a clubbing scent.

Smells sweet, heavy and perfumey, can't make out individual notes but it does not smell like any of the Chanels. Not sure if I like it yet. It is always a gamble with the budget dupe brands, occasionally you would find a gem but most of the time it is a very underwhelming copy/smell. Packaging and bottle aren't very good quality either. Definitely a matter of managing your expectations with this one. Don't think I will keep it.

On me Pink Coral does what I wanted of Coco noir (like twins!), to project, to be exactly the smell from the bottle of Coco noir, Coco is such an light smell on me, this does it, such a beauty! A blind buy, thank you members!

I agree - similar with Chanel Coco/Mademoiselle, but still not the same, more candy sweet un drydown. Great value for big bittle, performance and longelivity are good, beautiful box and feels luxury.

Chanel dna all the way. Similar to Coco Noir, but stronger, and longer lasting. Smells more expensive than it is. Safe blind buy. **Note: Just sniffed this for the first time in months— it smells amazing—let the bottle macerate, it gets better with age.

Just NOT my thing...It’s true, the resemblance to Chanel is there, the problem is I’ve never been a “ Chanel Girl” I don’t like any of creations of this House , so Pink Coral is going to be left behind ...

To be honest I had high expectations for this perfume based on reviews. I thought it would be close to Coco Noir which I adore, but this fragrance only has similar opening at the beginning it does smells similar to Coco Noir but the dry down is terrible honey sweet 😔

Genuinely one of the worst fragrance purchases I’ve ever made. It smells like cheap cologne mixed with a hint of fake Chanel. I have Allure Sensuelle so I’m not sure why I even thought I needed this. Also, the cap is terrible. Maybe, maybe it’ll be better after it sits in a dark drawer for a full year, but I’m not getting my hopes up.

When you open the rectangular paper box, there's a velvety covered cylinder inside; open that and you reach the actual bottle. Very tasteful packaging! The fragrance begins with orange, vanilla, and loads of patchouli as the listed notes indicate, but there's more to it. I get cardamom, lemon, cinnamon, and lots of myrrh. It could be cloves, but no I think cardamom. But none of this is listed here...either these notes are incomplete or I am just wrong. I don't know much about Armaf other than that they are a clone house. What is this a clone of? Coco Mademoiselle Intense if I go by notes. If you judge this just by smell and stop trying to figure out what it imitates, it's super lovely. This is one to wear just because it's great. Spice, patchouli, vanilla and orange. Cold weather comfort scent, but has an edge. As mapache says,it is an underrated gem. If you like dry, not sweet patchouli scents with a warm glamorous feel, this may work for you. Doesn't project or last forever, but longevity and sillage are decent. For under $25 you can't go too far wrong. It's kind of addictive...I keep reaching for this one. Patchouli has that effect on me though.

I have to say this is another clone that doesn't clone the original very well, in this case, Coco Noir. The Chanel is an elegant, refined and well-blended scent, this is just an ok scent, after the initial sharpness of the citrus has faded. For those of you who love Chanel and know that after a while, all Chanels have that common DNA that comes up, here it will not be the case. Apparently nobody has managed to clone that, either, because I have smelled countless Chanel dupes and, in my opinion, they don't come even close. However, unlike Signature True that is supposed to clone Lancome - La Nuit Tresor, which I definitely not recommend, this one I recommend, not as a Chanel dupe, but as a standalone perfume, that smells classy and a little bit more expensive than it is, but only if you wait for the top citrus notes to go away
