Private Key To My Soul

This one caught me by surprise :-) It makes me happy. It touches me. I am a composer, painter and recording artist and the youth, beauty and adroit use of the upper frequencies of the olfactory palette lifts my soul. It strips away the noise and tells me It's All Right and in fact It's Better than Ever. Armaf Private Key to My Soul has supplanted Chanel Coromandel, Amouage Opus V, Opus XI, Habit Rouge, as my signature scent. The past 2 months I've worn little else. No small feat. Is it a good fragrance? It's wonderful. Is it a great fragrance? Close, in my books Through the sunshine of the peppers and cardamom, grapefruit and other citruses there is a a spiral of what smells to me like a memory of Kuanyin temple smoke, and then a ripe fruits + lavender-leather accord that hooks like a pop song. For something so seemingly effortless it lasts an extraordinary 7 to 8 hours It's modern perfumery that engages our higher frequencies and does it beautifully Bravo Armaf, Bravo Alex Lee!

I sprayed this on a tester strip 3 days ago and its STILL filling the room. This stuff is powerful.

I have Key to my soul and Vintage Radio in front of me - there is absolutely no similarity between them. I have no idea why people vote for Paragon and Vintage Radio. Also, there is no Erba pura in this. It has a slight Invictusy vibe, but it is ever so slight. This is sweet, fruity apple sweetness in the beginning, then turning into a vanilla/fruity scent that is not cloying, because it is very well balanced with lavender and sage in front, plus citruses in the background. I would say this is an aromatic sweet fruity/vanilla scent, with a slight citrusy background. I have to say this smells damn good, specially if you like lavender and sage, like I do.

I picked this up for $40, and for that price I think it’s a steal. In the air, my brain immediately thought of Vintage radio. I made sure to wear them side by side, and can confirm they aren’t redundant. This is fresh and green, herbaceous. Sweet. Aromatic. More Green. Love the vanilla base here. Vintage radio is much sweeter, with a strong lavender note, it’s more clean. I think you’d wear these in the same scenarios, but I find VR to be more versatile; year round even. This is more a cool weather fragrance; I couldn’t wear this in the heat

These are the actual notes as per Armaf's website: Top Notes: Black Pepper, Pink Pepper, Cardamom Heart Notes: Lavandin, Geranium, Orange Blossom, Apple Base Notes: Vanilla Patchouli, Cedarwood, Vetiver It smells nothing like Paragon. This is a peppery, vanilla/apple/patchouli fragrance. It's very masculine and strong. I personally think it's got too much going on and it's not a pleasant experience to wear it.

A fresh new start for the Club de Nuit line, which currently has five different fragrances, all coming in Extrait de Parfum concentrations. Besides Success, I own them all and will gladly share my thoughts about them in the following weeks. Private Key To My Soul is the one I least enjoyed, but that doesn't mean it's not worth checking out. TOP NOTES On the initial spray, the first sensation is an intense, spicy burst. Although Armaf doesn’t specify any citrus elements, the dry, zesty quality in the top notes implies something akin to grapefruit or mandarin subtly concealed behind the spices. HEART NOTES After a few minutes, the scent evolves into an aromatic and fruity heart. The initial sharpness of pepper gradually mellows, revealing more aromatic elements. I detect a sweet-green note akin to a fresh, delicious apple and a touch of the light floral sweetness of orange blossom. Lavender adds a calming, herbaceous aroma that balances the earlier spice. The outcome is a rich blend: sweet apple and orange blossom interlaced with aromatic lavender, creating a mid-stage that feels brighter and fuller. BASE NOTES As it dries down, the fragrance evolves into a warm, creamy, and woody base. The vanilla note stands out, introducing a sweet warmth that blends with the earlier notes of apple sweetness. I also perceive cedarwood and patchouli contributing to a dry, woody structure. OVERALL Armaf Private Key To My Soul is a striking addition to the Club de Nuit lineup. Its vibrant, complex fragrance starts with lively spice and settles into a creamy, sweet-woody base. Regardless, you should sample it first since this fragrance is not for everyone, even though it has a niche quality. There are little things here and there that could have been better. This is way to strong I put on 5 sprays, went to school and people allll day were saying how strong I smelled and people in the Hallways were commenting on it it pulled mad compliments people could smell me from the other side of the cafeteria other then that the smell is simple with out being boring sweet and fresh also to me

Not sure if I got a bad sample or what, but I only detect a sour lemony note. I don't detect any vanilla, sage or the leather, tobacco note other people are mentioning... Will need to try this one more time. All others from the line are great, the Life one being my favorite.

This is the only original DnA from the line. The others are actually twists. It's quite unique so it's not mass appealing. I love everything Alex does and this is no different.

Somehow beside of the included notes, I pick up sweet camomile note in this an very prominently. Maybe the vanilla sweetness and the lavender makes this unique note for me.

This is salt, sweat, sage, light vanilla, lemon. Very bad compared to the rest of the line. Id put on a $10 savage dupe before this.
