Private Key To My Success

I paid 33 bucks for a tester, and got a new bottle sealed from a 2023 batch, I loved the blue bottle from this series and this one really intrigued me with the notes. I expected it to be overly spicy and sharp for some reason based on some reviews or maybe have a strong and unbalanced woody scent, I really didn't hope for it to be the case, but decided to give it a go because it went for way cheaper than it should. And oh wow, I was really pleasantly surprised, it has such a beautiful scent, really happy with this blind buy, way better than I though it would be. The scent woody with freshness and spices, but not sharp spices, but something that goes in the direction of 1 million type of spicy notes with a touch of balanced sweetness Need to wear it properly to see how it performs as well. Regarding people saying it's close to bois imperial, yall are legit tweakin', they are extremely different, bois has that sweet fresh basil kind of scent that is very prominent and has non of the spices and the type of freshness and sweetness this perfume has Don't even consider this if you want a perfume that is close to bois imperial. But it does remind me of 1 million edt for some reason, I didn't smell 1M for a long time though, I'll check it out soon to refresh my memory and update how similar they truly are

This smells super high quality. If people want to buy only cheap synthetics from armaf, go ahead, but this is nowhere near cheap synthetic. The price is justified. Bottle looks good overall, not my favourite, but way better than cdnim line. Magnetic cap, great atomizer, elegant presentaton. The juice is shockingly good, even if it's not everyone's cup of tea, the ginger and the spices slaps hard, but the blend is wonderful. I get the same ambroxan concentration as in sauvage elixir or absolu aventus, like it's sustaining the whole composition, even tho it's not listed in the ingredient list. It's truly unisex, but not sweet! Congrats, ARMAF! One of the best, if not the best from this house. Edit: after wearing this perfume 3 days in a row, I can say that the drydown is superb. It becomes fresh-balsamic, woody, masculine from my pov, and the longevity is great on fabric. Sillage is good in the first hour then it slowly becomes a wonderful skinscent. I hope maceration will make this perform better. I can't stop sniffing. This is the best i've smelled from armaf. They've outrun themselves completely. Maybe it's the perfumers involved, but the whole juice quality is different. It doesn't smell like armaf. You know what I mean.

Me acaba de suceder algo q jamas esperaba a q pasara Hoy antes de salir de mi ccasa me puse esta fragancia me monte en mi carro y me fui,estuve manejando creo q 40 minutos luego fui a ver a un amigo Cuando llegue a donde estaba mi amigo,le llame y le dije q habia llegado,el baja de donde esta y cuando el iba caminando hacia mi carro q estoy estacionado a la orilla de la xalle del complejo de apts q el estaba,cuando viene hacia mi lo veo q se rie a carcajadas y me hace unas señales q no entendia,el estaba a 3 metros mas o menos de llegar al borde de la calle y mi auto estaba al otro lado de la calle y cuando llega donde mi le pregunto q me estaba señalando y me dice q toda la calle olia a este perfume q el olor le daba desde antes de llegar a la acera,esta fragancia es atomica es imposible q llegue tan lejos la proyeccion es una locura total si ustedes vieran de q distancia estamos hablando es de locos ahhh y yo estaba montado en mi auto,gente estamos hablando q en plena calle a 10 o 12 metros de distancia de donde el empezo hacer señas es increible!! Potencia nuclear,esto no llena habitaciones,esto llena la calle al aire libre,es imprecionante!!

This is great. And all the YouTuber reviewers dunking on this "too expensive" line seem to forget that prices fall rapidly for Armaf. This is already available for ~$50. At that price it's a great purchase. A well blended combination of clean akigalawood with strong fruit notes and warmth of ginger/spice. Pretty unique. Cleaner than most fruit centered scents. If you like Cedrat Boise's attractive fruit + woods or Mancera's Saharian Wind's lavender + spices, then you'll probably like this. Again though, it's very distinct from either of those. If anything, it's cleaner, which makes it even more versatile. On duration...this stuff is potent. People are going nose blind. One spray fills a room. It's a similar to EP's Bois Imperial in that I can smell it across the house when someone sprays it on (and I don't have a very sensitive nose). On down voting it as not "revolutionary", I guess that's fine as long as you down vote almost every other fragrance for the same reason. I suspect that's a litmus test only being applied to less famous brands. I guess woods + spice + citrus isn't unique...but at that level of abstraction you've pretty much thrown out half of men's fragrances as boring.

Tout d'abord je tiens a vous expliquer ma petite aventure de la journée avec ce parfum. J'avais un rendez-vous important pour le travail et je me suis dit c'était l'occasion de tester la tenue de ce parfum pour la journée. Je me suis pulvériser 3 spray autour du coup pour pas en faire trop. Je me rends à mon rendez-vous, je suis en salle d'attente et la secrétaire vient me chercher pour entrer dans son bureau et tout de suite elle me complimente sur mon parfum que je porte "( MMmm.. vous sentez bon)" 😏 j'esquisse un sourire je me dis ça commence bien une première avec ce parfum. Et elle me dit asseyez-vous , je prends place et tout de suite elle revient sur " vous sentez vraiment bon, c'est quoi votre parfum sans indiscrétion" . Je lui réponds " je c'est pas si vous allez connaître..." Elle me répond " dit toujours,j'aime vraiment les parfums " Je lui réponds "Private Key To My Success de Armaf" Elle me dit je connais pas mais ils incroyable je rougis 😊 , et de la une conversation interminable sur les parfums... Mon rendez-vous a duré 50 minutes , nous avons parlé parfum pendant 40 minutes et boulot 10 minutes 😄. CE PARFUM EST JUSTE INCROYABLE 10/10 VALIDÉ ✅

I was first interested in this last year, when I saw Quentin Bisch was working on it. It was 80 bucks then, and even with my liking for his work, I didn't trust a clone house at that price honestly. This 4th of July I grabbed it on sale for $36. The quality of this, and extrait de Parfum, for that price is stupid. The akigalawood in this is on par with that of my Bois Imperiale. It's frankly better than Kenzo Homme. It's smooth and sits just right with the vetiver. The opening of ginger and chili is intense. This is a loud opening. Clean and spicy and candy sweet. When it settles on the drydown is when it really hooked me in. The cleanness of the lavender is nice. It's soft and spicy at the same time and I dig it. All on smooth akigalawood and vetiver. Blind buy safe? Yes, if you like a clean spicy general purpose scent. It makes a solid choice for daily wear. This punches well above it's weight for what I paid for it. And the clean simple bottle is an added bonus.

I’ve had some time with this scent (about 2 months now) and it remains one of my favorites. It’s a soft (not screechy nor synthetic) sweet spicey that’s very pleasing. And it’s a soft spice, I think some people call it a green spice. It lasts a long time and it’s very office friendly and easy to wear. I feel like it’s a great twist on Kenzo Homme EdP. It takes that experience and adds sweetness and that chili pepper. Both this and the Kenzo are Quentin Bisch creations so it makes sense that the DNA matches. I would say the Kenzo has better projection and more complexity whereas this private key to my success is more linear but less polarizing. Either way this thing is an amazing value. Found for $40 as a tester with cap. Oh yea the cap is magnetic and the bottle has some heft to it. Easy wear all year round like the Kenzo.

Esta fragancia me sorprendio y bastante!! Totalmente original aqui no estan clonando nada,un perfume con exelente calidad,buenisima duracion de 10 horas en mi piel con proyeccion cercano a lo beast mode,es bastante potente y las veces q lo he usado los cumplidos llegaron solos desde mis familiares hasta desconocid@s en la calle!! En mi opinion es bastante verzatil,lo he usado en calor y me funciono muy bien tengo q probarlo en calor extremo q esta por llegar pero creo q no habra problemas con eso!!! Armaf con este perfume quiso demostrar q pueden hacer fragancias originales y de buena calidad y lo logro pq la calidad y la originalidad estan presentes en este perfume!!! Gran acierto de la casa de Armaf!!! Le doy 8.5/10

I got this last night, it smells like nothing I have. It’s so well blended that it’s hard to pick out what your smelling in the opening I get a clean, hot spicy, candied ginger with a clean soapy vetiver and the akigalawood gives it lift and feels like ambroxan without the headache inducing sharpness. It’s familiar yet unique. The more I smell it the more I’m thinking about it. I bought this and another niche vetiver fragrance and. The uniqueness of this makes it more interesting. My wife love it and for the under $60 bucks I’m happy I got it in my collection.

Wow! This Private Key is something else! I'm a huge fan of spicy fragrances, and this one hits all the right notes. The ginger and chili pepper in the opening are fiery and invigorating, while the lavender and vetiver add a touch of sophistication. The Akigalawood really makes this scent stand out - it's warm, woody, and incredibly long-lasting. This is definitely a fragrance for those who want to make a statement!

It is one of the best fragrances in Armaf's Private line. It is woody, citrusy and fresh and lasts on clothing for more than 36 hours. It can be used both in hot and cold conditions. This scent is ideal for the office or for wearing with a suit. For the price, I would highly recommend this perfume. 10/10 Just go for it.

My best friend brought it back from miami couple of months back, I was so desperate to have it too he left me the bottle before flying back, and now it is the first time I see it online! This is an absolute banger I love the signature and versatility, really impressed by Armaf on this one

This is kind of weird in the oppening, but after a couple of minutes, it's mixed with the lavander, and there's when it gets interesting. It gives me a vibe of a more toned up version of Reflection Man. Try it on a 2 ml sample.

spicy fragrances is always my favorite one, very masculine.Private Key To My Success is definetly one of it. I like to use it on my arms and layer other perfume on my on my clothes. this is how i enjoy it.

Just bought this online at fragrancebuy. Not a typically priced Armaf but with the noses involved and the claim of quality ingredients I expect that. Will update when it arrives and get a few wearings in.

It took me about 3 hours to remember which perfume it reminded me of, I was sure that in the distant past I had a perfume similar to it: Montblanc Exceptionnel

Quentin did a copy/paste on this from his work on Kenzo homme parfum. Great scent but having both is redundant.

Let it macerate Beast mode after maceration , High quality for sure For me the best perfume by ARMAF .

This is hands down the best I have smelt from the private keyline thus far. Rating: 8.9/10

This opens up sweet and spicy, loud. something in the first minute, and when smelling the nozzle, reminds me of Le Beau EDT, but it is fleeting. Honestly, this is the “worst” part of the fragrance. It gets better as it dries down. The opening only lasts a few minutes, then I get the bergamot, lavender, and vetiver. It’s fresh and clean without being soapy, with some earthy, dry wood under it all. Unisex in the opening with a slight masculine lean in the drydown. I like this fragrance, but I don’t love it. Blind buy safe, would be good year round, really. The performance on my skin is not great, getting maybe 4 hours before it’s totally gone. However, for the $36 it cost me, I don’t mind overspraying and reapplying. Are there better things out there? Probably. Is this a great bargain? Definitely. Would I recommend it? Yes, but only if you didn’t already have a clean Vetiver fragrance. Would I rebuy? As it currently stands, probably not. I much prefer something like Vetiver Sensuel that also does the citrusy/woodsy clean combo. Overall, for an original Armaf, this is way better than expected. Even with clones, I tend to avoid Armaf because they always seem screechy to me. This has none of that cheap noise that clones usually have, this is smooth and well done. You could honestly do a lot worse for ~$40.

This one is good. I wasnt impressed on first sniff but as I wore this over the last two days its growing on me a lot. I cant help but find the sweetness similar to Ysl Myslf (soft laundered shirt type) and I can tolerate the akigalaQuentinBischwood in this way more than any of his other hits (Bois Imperale/Ganymede). The blend is smooth. This is sweet and woody on my skin. Whoever added Oud in the main accords must be joking. Overall, it wears like a designer release but as I spend time with it, it has more to offer. I am thoroughly impressed with this Armaf line. Private key to my life is a great fragrance as well. Now these are going to $40-$60 on discounters they are a steal for the overall composition. I will come back with final thoughts after a few more wears but off the bat, this is leagues above what clones of old offered. Edit: After several wears, I still think I like this a lot. Nothing has changed as far as quality and performance, which is stellar. But now I can get the Akigalawood peaking its ugly head in the mid and dry down. I understand why this was done. It's an alternative to Ambroxian and makes scents last for days. This is going to be a pass, as I realized no matter how tame the Akigalawood is in a fragrance, I cant stand it. Glad I realized this before I tried Blue Tasliman.

The opening opens with a gentle, bright expanse of bergamot, lavender, and a smooth blend of spices. After 30 minutes, you realize how beastly this juice is. It shows many faces as the wind blows, and the middle note is a modern, soft, leather-like floral. So far, it is definitely an office-safe, masculine scent. The last note, however, baffled me. The landscape changes dramatically and the feminine side becomes dominant. I thought I had smelled this scent somewhere before, but could not recall. Four hours later, after more dry-down, I clearly remembered where I had smelled this scent. To me, this is a strong association with my memory of Gucci's Rush2 fragrance. At this stage, to me, the bottle takes on a Y2K vibe, neither modern nor office-safe. It is definitely a scent that can be worn all year round, and perhaps in the right amount and in the right season it would have a different feel. As for performance, it is without a doubt the strongest performing perfume I have ever used. I will try soaking it a little more and see if the impression changes.

I really don't know how to feel about this fragrance. It smells *sort of* but not really like PDM Pegasus, but there's this sour note to it that is so distracting. I'm not sure what it is. And yet, despite my "meh" feeling about it, it's strangely addicting. I keep wanting to smell my hand. The prominent ginger accord is sweet in nature -- in moments, it is somewhat reminiscent of LV L'Immensite. Eventually, that sour note tones down and the fragrance as a whole takes on a more powdery feel, but it still puzzles me why that sourness was even there. For an extrait, performance is disappointing. Not that great. I just sprayed it on my hand less than an hour ago and it's already just a skin scent. I also bought this cologne months ago and have let it sit since then, with the occasional spray, so that maceration period has softened that sour note a little over time but has not improved the performance.

Not getting anything that anyone else is getting from this. To my nose and my wife's nose it is slightly sweet, not too spicy, not a super projector, doesn't seem like it has a strong sillage either. As of right now(first impressions,) this is a very nice, lotion-y smelling fragrance. Can't lie, I keep sniffing it because I really like it. And it's also not linear. Towards the dry down, I do faintly smell the church incense thing which for me is nostalgic to my early childhood weekends. So far it's good and I'm looking forward to how this thing matures. Update Been sitting for months, and not much has changed. Still love the smell. Like hotel lotion. Good daily frag to signature. Nothing I have smelled still smells remotely similar to this. Keeper.

Like a few others have said, Private Key to My Success smells very similar to Essential Parfums Bois Imperial -- both which were created by Quentin Bisch. To my nose, the only real difference is the ginger note in PKMS that tampers down the almost-citric note in Bois Imperial that isn't there. Otherwise, it's strange that Bisch would nearly dupe another of his creations. Between the two, I prefer the scent profile of Bois Imperial, but PKMS is good bang for the buck.

Smells like a spicier version of Scandal Homme EDT.

All I could feel when it dried down was Agarwood, exactly the same smell of Agarwood used in church ceremonies. When the ceremony ended, people told me, "You smell like the Agarwood that the Father used earlier" This fragrance is for introverts, it has mind relaxing effect. I wish it was a bit fresher, then it would be more balanced and easier to use. For me, this one is the best of 5 tbh. - Success - The main scent is Agarwood, not outstanding but not offensive to anyone. --------------------------------------------------------- - Love - Fresh fruit, but like a Bath and Body Works fragrance mist. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - Life - Great CDN/Aventus opening, Bleu de Chanel/Tygar drydown vibe which gives me a headache. - Soul - Coco Mademoiselle drydown vibe but low quality, also gives me a headache. - Dream - Spicy wood, nothing special. Great bottles, smooth spray and magnetic cap. I'm sorry if my personal feelings make you feel bad, but there will be many people who like them.

Honestly, my view about this fragrance not Wow: it is very strong, spicy, masculine perfume. I think the spice and sweetness are overpowering, hiding the rest ingredients. I would have wanted more fresh ingredient and less spice in. The smell is a bit annoying my nose. Probably, I did not like it. It is definitely not unisex perfume, pure masculine! The bottle is very well presented, in luxury box .

This cologne doesn't offer anything revolutionary. It matches its gray bottle color, and for those who remember Escada's discontinued Casual Friday fragrance, it bears resemblance. Essentially, it's an average and boring scent. I was exited to try it due to Mr. Quentin Bisch's involvement in its creation. It's not unpleasant, just not to my taste. This is pretty good, I don’t think it’s necessarily a clone of anything and goes its own direction. It definitely does not smell like spicebomb infrared which was on here earlier as what it reminds people of. The only thing I relate it to is Kenzo homme EDP, and I think it’s cause the akigalawood. However this is still different. Makes you smell clean, wealthy, powerful. It gives the wearer the aura of strength and masculinity. I agree with the reviewer below, the ginger and chili are potent.. especially in the beginning. Those settle after some time and the akigalawood comes through with lavender softening it. Performance is good.. lasts 8-9hrs, I think this is quite unique stuff and worth if you can get it at discounters

Based on the notes and having Jordi Fernández on the board... maybe its has a similar vibe to Ex Nihilo's Hedonist, which is a safe spicy-woody fresh frag. Hedonist smells amazing, but the projection leaves a lot to be desired imo... Its not a problem to dish out 300euros for a fragrance, its a problem to dish out 300 euros for a fragrance that doesnt perform.

The opening was pure ass, it was scratchy and synthetic. But after I've let it settle for a couple of minutes, insanely smooth and handsome. The woods, florals and focused nuances into the drydown make this fragrance. One of the best drydowns in modern perfumery. If they could just bottle that drydown I'd pay double for 100ml.

Quentin with dat wood!!! All seriousness looking forward to hear how these scents are as armaf is one of the best clone houses out there, their untold dupe of BR540 Extrait is phenomenal

Finally. ARMAF with new original DNAs. Keep the price reasonable and they might became the new budget friendly niche house. This is definitely a blind buy with bisch involved

To me, this smells like Kalan if that went in a mass appealing direction. This is what that should have been. The dry down is marvelous. Great value.
