The Lions Club - Valer

Valer opens with a bergamot forward mildly sweet citrus that's freshened up just a tad by some vague greenness. Definitely get that often described sprite kind of vibe right out the gate. That doesn't last for long in that isolated state as you quickly start to get some frankincense, some floral sweetness, and a small hint of the rosemary lingering in the back as well all layered over that vague bergamot citrus opener. The incense feels more of the star as that feels like it saves the citrus by incorporating it into itself. The incense is not smokey or overly spicy on its own it's more like the rosemary pulls through for the spice while this is a cleaner essence of incense. The florals are very light it is hard to perceive them distinctly to my nose but they help pick it up from getting too dark or spicy and keep things fresh. You get a very laundry clean sorta vibe I don't want to say exactly a lavender dryer sheet but more like very specifically a dryer sheet scented incense. The dry down actually has some interesting development the lavender actually really begins to creep up on you and kinda tries to split time with the incense as the dominant note though I feel you never lose the incense they just like to take turns with each other here and there. The base notes feel very conceptual for a long time it simply feels like a more specific description of the fully developed mid rather than each distinctly developing into the scent profile over time. It's as if the incense at some point fractures from being the one note and simply becomes all the base notes instead while the lavender somewhat gets lost in the cashmere. With the unraveling of the incense it changes from an incredibly masculine clean laundry to something a little more subdued in the same general scope. Perhaps that makes it somewhat linear but I'm not complaining. I have to imagine this is a bit less musky finish than what is expected as an inspiration but it might just be that it is simply the proper amount of musky for my taste. Overall a very smooth refined warm masculine laundry scent that opens a bit citrusy fresh.

It opens with a fizzy citrus. It has been some time since I last smelled Sedley, but it has that airiness/fizziness that the original has. I used to also have Maahir legacy, which was more of a limey irish spring with a funky drydown. Valer is sooooo much better smelling and more accurate. I am glad they finally added it to fragrantica. The scent profile projects decently with about 5 hours of longevity (I may be nose blind by that point). I would definitely consider buying again. Very universal, not too sweet either, which I like.

Wow. Makes sedley redundant, great release from armaf. Less fizzy than sedley but creamier and more masculine. 9/10 similarity. Smells amazing, like a sophisticated, yacht owning guy from the south of France. Opens with balanced citruses, then creamy lavender through to slightly warm mix of citrus amber and woods. Probably the best summer fragrance on a budget. Some would call basic but it's perfect for any occasion and people will like this. Projects well, longevity is no issue. It's a 10/10 from me.

The Lions Club, Valer by Armaf gives a smooth, classy vibe with a nice balance of freshness and warmth. Feels versatile and easy to wear daily, especially when you want something subtle yet noticeable without being overpowering.

Smells basically the same I have both now and compared, last and projects just as good as original mayb lasts a little longer,love it

Basically night time version of Sedley. Less fizzy, more mature and creamier. About 7 h longevity on skin.

A like from me as it's really hard to go wrong with the Sedley DNA however I have many Sedley clones and this is my least favorite out of the 4. This opens up very bright,fresh aromatic and crisp and definitely has that Sprite vibe that Sedley has but this focuses more on the grapefruit more than any other clone and I'm not the biggest fan of grapefruit. As it dries down you get the aromatics and the incense more making this more warm and deep than the other Sedley clones. It is nice but causes it to be less appealing than Sedley and the other clones. Performance on this is great as it lasts 8-12 hours with moderate to strong projection. Out of all the Sedley clones I have I think this and the Sedley clone from Mod are the strongest. Overall rating -7 out of 10 ! If I didn't have other Sedley clones I think I would enjoy this more but it's my least favorite of the bunch and the only one I haven't been complimented on. My personal fave Sedley clones are Blue Stallion by Alexandria and Medley by Lunar & Co.

I just picked up a bottle of this. I’m wearing lions club on my left arm and Sedley on my right arm right now. This thing is 95% accurate. Lemony fresh, with a nice dry down that is unoffensive. It can be worn anytime. Huge value, and if you enjoy Sedley you will not be disappointed by this!

It's a different experience from Sedley that leans classier with greater longevity. It's heavier on fixatives and the balance is poor; the Iso E Super screeches through. It's more sour and ambery. Armaf didn't replicate the Sedley's natural sparkling pop. That said, the Sprite DNA is definitely there.
