Tres Nuit Lyric

Armaf is not my favorite fragrance company. Except for the CDN limited edition, I never was a fan of their "synthetic" scent and their "none individualistic" approach to their products. Tres Nuit was too synthetic in opening even though after 3 minutes, it resembled GIT very well. Couple of weeks ago, I walked into my local fragrance retailer and saw Tres Nuit lyric on the shelf. Thinking it would be another BR540 clone, I asked to sample it. Instead on my skin, I asked to have 3 sprays on my shirt. Instantly, I recognized the scent as Profondo. A bit sweeter but definitely it was Profondo. I didn't get the whiff of synthetic scent from it so which I was quite impressed knowing this was armaf product. After shopping with wife for 6 hours (ridiculously long indeed), I came home and when I took my jacket off, I could still smell the Profondo. Even my wife asked me if I used ADG. That's a solid 7 hours since I had Tres Nuit lyric sprayed. As a Proud owner of Profumo and profondo, I know for sure my OG ADG don't last longer than 6 hrs even in my shirt. I was so impressed with the performance alone, I went back and purchased it next day for $28 Canadian (all inclusive). That's around $20 USD! Now I own something that I can literally overspray myself for this summer and next summer as well. I usually use Hermes Eau de D'orange and/or Hermes Voyage for summer. Sometimes I use issey miyake which I only have about 20ml left. ADG lines are my summer office use only but with Tres Nuit lyric, I have something I can use liberally without thinking about $$$. Impressive performance even though it only has about 2 feet projection, little sweeter, and not as smooth as OG ADG, this is what I would consider Profondo twist that had good performance and good quality (surprisingly from armaf) at very very reasonable price. Great surprise find for me.

This is the first time that I've done blind buy without knowing even the notes of the fragrance, during last days of 2020 when it released. I saw Joy Amin's review on YouTube, searched on internet, was around 19 euros and just I ordered it! Wore it 2-3 times in first days of 2021 and put it in a drawer, forgot about it, and never used again. Don't get me wrong I liked it, but somehow my hand never gone back to it. Anyway let's analize what I've got and what I remember after two years for this fragrance... To my nose it consists of three parts, which are quite clashing each other imho (maybe that's why I didn't use it again). First part is the aquatic part and yes it resembles to Acqua di Gio. The second part is the "butter candy" or the "milky wibe" which reminds me the musky/white summer colognes (let's say Guerlain Ideal Cologne for example). The last part is the spicy part and yes it's extremely spicy for a summer cologne! Maybe I lost my mind but here the spices reminds me the spicy part of Paco Rabanne One Million! Do you remember the "mosquito repellent" spicy-woody wibe of the first formulation from 2008? That's the spices of Tres Nuit Lyric Man! So all in all it's nice but weird combination... It's much more modern from the original Tres Nuit. Although it sits close to the skin (EDP) the longevity is absolutely fantastic! Easyly 9-10 hours with heavy trigger (don't hesitate it's cheap). A really crowd pleaser and compliment getter (not that I'm interested), I got asked two times in my first day of wearing (with heavy apply). Who knows maybe I will wear it again this summer and update my experience here, cheers! :)

Yeah, this one’s definitely meant to be Profundo with a twist. It’s a little sweeter. I almost get a little bit of a lemon candy sort of vibe from it. I don’t know if I exactly agree with the Light Blue Eau Intense associations I’m seeing here, but I definitely see where they’re coming from. I would say that the quality of the notes isn’t great. It does come off as fairly synthetic and doesn’t reach the level of quality that Profundo does, but that’s always to be expected with Armaf. I think that this is definitely worth getting at around the $25 level, but no more than that. If you’re wanting an excellent Profundo alternative (although not a clone), I would get Chrome Extreme. If you’re wanting a decent cheap citrus fragrance then this is a pretty good one. EDIT: I think I may have undersold this one originally. It's actually quite good and has a lot going for it. The longevity is fairly impressive and I've gotten some compliments for it, if that's something you're looking for. Still pretty synthetic, though.

Never smelles ADG Profondo, but if I have to say what TN Lyrics is similar to.....well to me, it's kind of mix of this and that. You know. Blue? For sure. I had enough of blue. Tired of if I may say. But this one just done right. It's like Bvlgari Aqua Atlantique + D&G Light Blue + Essenziale Blu + ADG. I guess....?? I enjoy it for sure. My lady complemented it like she never did for other frag before. Even asked me to wear it "tonight", if you know what I'm saying... haha So... Blue. Versatile. Room filling. Projects like mad (at least on my skin. Even with just one spray. Serious) Day. Night. Warm weather, heck yes. Cold weether, yes as well. Great great great value for the money. Signature worthy. Back up bottle worthy. Such a satisfaction for me.

So I have both Profondo and Armaf Tres Nuit Lyrics (ATNL). In a way, it's smell similar to Profundo but not as perfect as Profondo. It has that sea notes, sweet, citrus smell but longevity and sillage aren't on par compared to Profundo. It lasts 2-4 hours on me while projecting around arm length. I'm a fan of Profundo but can't afford to use it daily. Tres Nuit Lyrics is a much better value, similar perfume for daily. I received compliments from the gym and hair salon using this. Out of my Armaf Club De Noit Intense, Sillage, Milestones, and this, Tres Nuit Lyrics is my favorite but I wish the longevity and sillage are as good as Intense. The opening is great, no harsh chemical smell, just smooth soft sea notes then follow by floral.

Amazing value. It smells a lot like Bvlgari Aqva Atlantiqve which sadly is discontinued now.. in the opening, it smells like the Bvlgari but very very citrus. Then it dries down to Atlantiqve with just a hint of ADG mixed in. I can't wait to wear this all the time this summer because Aqva Atlantiqve was one of my favorite fragrances and I don't wanna waste my backup bottle. Performance is good. I would say 85% similar to Atlantiqve.

Never smelled ADG Profondo. On it's own it smells great, citrusy, lavender-y, not too sweet opening with floral dry down with a touch of musk. Very versatile, all around fragrance with good performance (7-8 hours on skin). . Update: the drydown remind me a bit like Mont Blanc Individuel, has the same synthetic-y fabric softener smell, but here it's more citrusy/fresh compare to Mont Blanc which is more sweet.

Smells IDENTICAL to Profondo. Same oceanic nuances and fruits and even some of the original ADG dna towards the dry down. I get way better longevity out of this when i tested both on my hand, 7-8 hours but it’s a skin scent at that point. my only gripe is the bottle is horrendous and is constantly leaking which is deteriorating the plastic holding the cap down

This is a very good perfume , i have ADG profundo for some reason i like this more it is as one of the comments said a mix between D&G Light blue intense and profundo , and surprisingly better than both. In terms of longevity it is not very good for me it is about 2 hours , and the projection is moderate. But it is a great value.

Call me crazy but I actually like this scent more than any Acqua di Gio including Essenza. The bergamot is bright and juicy in this and the rosemary is turned down. The performance is worse than every Acqua di Gio, however, but at this price point I will overspray without thinking twice. This is a bit of a hidden gem.

I wore this today at work. Started at 8a and by 830 I had 2 compliments from women I work with. By 3p I had 3 guys I work with ask what I was wearing and where they could get it cheap. It smells really expensive and lasts forever. That should give all you frag heads nice big boners.

This stuff is amazing! It smells so fresh and clean, like a summer day by the ocean. The citrus notes are really prominent at first, then it settles into this lovely woody and spicy scent. Perfect for warm weather!

Not a 1:1 clone but similar DNA. Doesn’t last as long as Profondo but what more can you ask for at this price? Paid $20 and just overspray if need to. An easy no brainer freshie great for outdoor hot sunny days.

I like the opening, different than profondo but good. Mild projection amd sillage. You have to go heavy woth the sprays on this one. Same with liam blue and shouqrat

This is easily the best freshie from Armaf with regards to the actual smell and performance. I have achieved 8-10 hours on clothes.

Smells nice in the air. I've put it away for a few months to grow. I'll probably try it in July and see how much it's matured

Slightly sweeter and a bit more powdery and woody Profondo. Great for the price. Somedays i prefer this over profondo.

6/10 Scent = 2/3 Performance = 2/3 Wearability = 1/3 Value = 1/1 This fragrance reminds me a bit of a tomato or cucumber leaf (like in a greenhouse) or maybe kiwi skin. It's a pretty linear fragrance, it doesn't change much over time. When you first spray it, it's a bit harsh compared to something like Acqua Di Gio, but it smooths out pretty quickly. It's a great warm weather, aquatic fresh fragrance. You won't really stand out with it, but you'll smell fresh and good. The performance is decent for a summer fresh fragrance. Oh and by the way, as i wear it more, i am getting some similarity to Versace Eros flame in the drydown. But for me, it's a bit boring because I already own a decent amount of summer fresh fragrances.

Super cheap version of ADG profondo with slightly ramped up sweetness and a touch more florals. I genuinely love the smell of this for it though and in the heat the aquatics with that tiny little bit of florals really do come alive. A really amazing scent especially considering the price. Versatility - 8/10 can be worn anywhere but probably wont do top great in cold environments cause of the scent profile plus its kind of weak Performance - 5/10 like i said its not strong but with a summer scent like this thats usually a given. I get 4 hours longevity with 1 hour arms length projection of course itll project more in the scorching heat and smell better too so id say wear it then

Smells similar to Aqua Di Gio Profondo after 30 minutes. The first 30 minutes smells a little off especially when smelled up close, kinda bothers my nose a bit. After it dries down for awhile it becomes more bearable and turns into a pleasant scent. Not a 1:1 clone of Profondo but gets pretty close for being a cheap fragrance. I still prefer Profondo and Azzaro Chrome Extreme compared to Tres Nuit Lyric. Longevity and sillage is pretty decent. Lasts 6 hours on me and can be smelled about an arms length away for an hour and a half.

Great bottle presentation that stands at first sight from others in any perfume collection. Regarding the notes, two are the most prominent and linger on for around four hours: salty ocean water and fresh clean bergamot. Excellent for sporty guys and athletes, be it during training sessions or casual meetings. Tres Nuit Lyric will be noticeable up-close but will not leave a long trail, it is more of a skin scent albeit a strong one with a musky background. Unbeatable price. Smells energetic and youthful. Ideal for warmer months...

This bottle is so stupid. That being said, Docplaya said it best: it’s 85-90% of Profondo. The opening is a bit bracing and chemical but that gives way quickly to the citruses, lavender and cypress. The performance is fairly bad, but at this price, spray away. If you like the Profondo/Chrome Extreme/Polo Deep Blue vibe, this is for you. Having tried all of these, I’ve found the performance to be lacking all around except for Profondo, but even that isn’t great compared to the other ADG lin IMO.

This is okay, for the price you can do better these days (in 2024). Armaf have come a long way from when they released this. The positives are that you will get a close profile in the air to ADG Profondo and people around you will likely enjoy the scent. Overall 7/10 in it's price range, likeable scent in the air once it has had time to macerate, but upclose you can smell this is poorly blended.

This is such an odd fragrance.... I read a previous review that said the opening had a funky note, I would have to agree to that statement. It’s definitely fresh but that funk almost wet mud like? Idk but it’s there for a good while if you can get past that it’s an excellent cheap freshie. Ps My wife loves it and she’s very picky so there’s that

This is one of those scents I didn't necessarily love, but got me a lot of compliments. People absolutely loved it. It's also extremely affordable. So, if you're looking for a cheap fragrance that smells like an expensive citrus cologne and makes people give you compliments, this just might be it.

An excellent dupe of AdG Profondo. Cheap but not cheap smelling. A blue fragrance in a red bottle! Aquatic, cool mineral and a tad herby. It suits all seasons but probably shines best during summer time. I get 7-8 hours moderate projection, stays closer to skin a few more hours. Nice!

What would happen if Acqua Di Gio Profondo and Dolce and Gabanna Light blue eau intense had a baby? ARMAF would adopt it and name him Tres Nuit Lyric. I love the sea notes! Otherwise a citrusy, fresh summer time fragrance complimented with a little sweetness from the musk!?

Such a hidden gem! at least for me! bought for MYR119 (~28USD) for me is a bargain. Quite similar to ADG profondo. the opening is much more citrusy compared to ADGP. Sillage is good enough and longevity for me around 6hrs +-. One of the blind buys that I won't regret.

Good no brainer aquatic that gathers positive reactions. Unfortunately I prefer Profumo and OG ADG vibe so I'm not getting that much use of it, but it gets the job done when needed but I wouldn't call it a masterpiece even within ADG vibe.

It smells sweet, juicy, a bit woody. The best description i heard for it is that it smells like fresh air. Surprisingly not really synthetic and lasts long. Gets better as it dries down but its still good in the opening

I get lemons, lots of lemons, just like the bottled lemon juice that some people pour into their tea, but not in a bad way. to me its not a "blue" or "red" fragrance, but a yellow one.

This is a fresh lemon scent, a good one for the summer. To me it's a mixture of fragrances like Acqua Di Giò Profondo, Bulgari Aqva and Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Eau Intense. 7/10

A little bit synthetic in the opening, less in the dry down, but for the price it's a bargain. 15$ for 100ml. One of my best byes.

Really good, cheap freshie! Most Armafs suck, but you have no idea how much Tres Nuit & Tres Nuit Lyric are worth your buck!

ARMAF why?? A year passed, I bought a second bottle, the tone of the fragrance changed. It has become much "greener", its durability, despite the fact that it is an eau de parfum concentration, is less durable, 3-4 hours... in my previous review, I had nose blindness, several people indicated that they smelled this pleasant fragrance on me, even though I had already worn it for at least 6 hours . What bothers me the most is that the scent has changed a little, it's no longer that light scent, it smells a bit like soap. There was still a little left in the previous bottle, so I could clearly compare the two. I hope it's just the fault of this batch. Pleasant late spring, but definitely "blue" summer scent. Indeed, the fresh wet sea notes dominate very very pleasant. Opening a harsh citrus notes, the musk next to the watery notes, but I think the white musk that remains after it dries on the skin is very linear, it made me a little disappointed. The sillage is not very impressive, it can be felt strongly for half an hour and soon becomes a gentle skin scent, a soapy and blue scent, and then disappears for 3 hours almost completely. Pleasant summer scent, but no miracle expected. (100ml). 15 € was with delivery, the price is acceptable. BATCH # 336957 Made in France ... Not in the UAE (maybe that's why?)

I was looking for a value gym and afternoon errand scent but this was not it. I am not at all impressed with longevity or projection even when considering it is a summer scent. It starts off with an alcohol watery scent for about 5 to 10 minutes and then fades to a hint of spice, and then you forget you have it. From my experiences I think it best compares to Perry Ellis 360 Red for Men without the cinnamon. It is not bad smelling. If it was the only fragrance I had, I would wear it. But with so many other better fragrances available with the same purpose, I would not recommended it.

I wanted to like this one, but I can’t get over a sort of funky smell that other reviewers have mentioned. Tried letting it macerate but to no real avail. It’s also fairly weak, a shame because I think the bottle looks great. Probably won’t be reaching for this one for awhile.

I like the smell, I also get those ADG/Profondo vibes. BUT, and it's a big BUT, the performance on my skin is abysmal. I think this might be the worst-performing frag that I own.

Tres Nuit Lyric makes a bold entrance, but not in the way one would expect. Rather than feeling fresh, it leans into a synthetic, almost chemical citrus sharpness. This sharpness, with its oceanic undertones, carries a powdery edge that evokes the sensation of distinct funk that others have noted, and it's hard to ignore. The combination feels like you walked into a toilet recently cleaned with a lemon-scented spray — you know the sensation. However, amid the intensity, there is a fleeting hint of green notes — subtle and fresh — that momentarily offer relief. As the scent begins to settle, it remains mostly linear. The middle notes struggle to emerge clearly, overpowered by the persistently sharp, powdery backdrop. These herbaceous and aromatic elements feel underdeveloped, which is disappointing. The late drydown shows marginal improvement, though it still lacks complexity. The improvement is only noticeable when smelled up close on fabric because the projection is gone. Even then, it requires deep inhalation to pick up any sense of quality. The projection starts too strong but diminishes quickly. Longevity is lackluster, comparable to that of an inexpensive supermarket cologne. Without any notable evolution, the scent remains static from start to finish. Lyric is similar to Lattafa Liam Blue Shine, and unfortunately, it mirrors many of the same issues found in that fragrance. Worse still, it feels even lower in quality, often resembling a basic deodorant you'd find at a discount store. It's not offensive, but it certainly lacks the refinement and appeal you'd expect. At best, it can be described as 'acceptable', but with the vast array of superior options available, it doesn't stand out as a worthwhile choice. In conclusion, Armaf Tres Nuit Lyric is an underwhelming fragrance. The strong, synthetic citrus opening, combined with its linearity and short-lived performance, leaves much to be desired. While not entirely unpleasant, the overall experience feels cheap and unremarkable, especially with so many other summer fragrances offering better quality and value. The funk is real. There are several Armaf fragrances I really like. The original Tres Nuit is no Green Irish Tweed, but I love it.., despite the fact it has no longevity. (I’ve gone through 5 bottles.) The notes listed with Lyric look good. A fresh citrus fragrance with a Musk, Patchouli and Amber base. The problem for me is the Amber. Amber is a conceptual note (there is no Amber oil). It makes me think of a crafted balance of Vanilla, Benzoin and Labdanum. Some wood oils have an Amber quality. There is a group of Super Amber aroma compounds which are also used for Amber. Ambrocenide is one and it is very strong! To me it smells like Agarwood (Oud), and I can’t stand either one! I think most people don’t have a problem with it. Dior Sauvage has this kind of Amber note, you can’t miss it, and a lot of people like Sauvage. If you know you don’t like Agarwood/Oud or that note that sticks out in Sauvage, then Lyric is probably not for you. The opening citrus is a little harsh, but it recovers quickly. The Amber is balanced well with the citrus opening, but for me, it masks out the Musk and Patchouli. I think a lot of people who like this Amber note will like this fragrance, but for me its going to be a “give away” to one of my sons.

I bought this last summer, and initially was rather pleased with it. It did have a funky opening that lasted around 30 minutes, but after that I found it quite similar to ADGP that I really like, so I was quite happy with this 15€ purchase. Now that I have more experience with all kinds of different fragrances, expensive, cheap, clones etc. I really don't consider this good anymore. Not even for the price. The opening funkyness surely does get fainter over time, but it is still present with the scent all the way. The citruses and florals are all quite sharp and very synthetic. The blend just doesn't smell that nice. If you smell this side by side with any ADG, the difference in quality is striking. As you would probably expect, since this costs just a fraction of any original ADG fragrance. If you get whiffs of this in the air, I think its fine. But when you are wearing it yourself, and are constanly reminded by the funky and sharp qualities the scent has, it gets annoying. If you are on an extremely limited budget, I guess this has it's place. But I still would recommend to get something else instead.

#364 in my "Tour de Fragrance" After the delicious "Tres Nuit", which only disappointed in longevity and sillage as most Armaf concentrations do, this scent disappoints in its failure to make any impression on me at all. Not surprisingly I had the same take on ADG Profondo and Profumo, both of which I found representative of the worst of aquatics and donated. I've evaluated nearly thirty aquatics like this and still can't understand why anyone buys them. Profondo and Profumo probably would still feel like a ripoff if they'd been $20 like this bottle of Lyric. I feel the same about the entire ADG line. It's in the name people. You're paying for water.

I have both Tres nuit Pour homme and Lyric , both smell almost exactly the same, oil and alcohol with the smell of something vauge and after 20 min on my skin, still the same smell from both. I have tried them for 5 months now still the same...absolutely nothing. Must have gotten bad batches on both, because you can`t have this mutch hype on something so bland and so so bad, no matter how cheap it is.

Like others have mentioned, this has a Milky funk to it when it sits close to the skin . It’s a shame I wasted $22 USD on this. If you’re looking for a clone of Profondo, Liam Blue is miles ahead of this and also under $25USD. Just grab that. I’ve since bought the OG Profondo since it’s not that expensive but again if you must go with a clone , stick to Liam Blue. This is trash

I just brought it today. Wtf. Unlike the reviews, it’s all water. All I smell is water and a little bit bitter citrus( really faint bitter citrus in behind). 5 sprays and smells nothing except water. I don’t recommend this one. Test it yourself before u buy. Don’t trust youtubers and reviews here.

Honestly a big let down knowing the original TN. This is weak and not very citrusy at all. A weak version of missoni wave to describe it or very weak vetiver sandalwood frag. Literally the drydown is a weak vetiver and sandalwood. One of my unfortunate misses with blind buys for me personally.

It got a compliment but it has a funky milky smell close to the skin which I don't like. Projection and longetivity is above average. (Batch 2022), I don't recommend buying this even if it's low price. I will use it as car freshener. It's an aquatic shower gel fresh with a funky milky smell.

This one did get better after letting it sit for 5 months, but I still do not like it. It is among the most generic smelling fragrances I have ever smelled and the longevity sucks. I honestly think there are so many better fragrances out there for the money
