Vanity Femme Essence

I’ve owned this one for three months now and each time, I kid you not, each time I wear this I swoon. I have quite a few perfumes in my collection and usually I can categorise them into, you know, sweet or floral or woody or spicy or clean. This one? She’s simply elegant. And in a way, the name is right - it is the essence of a woman - captured in a bottle. Look, the bottle looks a little cheaply done in terms of finish but to me it doesn’t matter. I got this for 24SGD, and it is the most expensive smelling thing I have. I honestly can’t make out any notes that stand out in this one but it’s so smooth and so soft it’s like a cashmere shawl draped around your shoulders. It somehow reminds me of posh weddings and purses lined with velvet and lace handkerchiefs and fancy lipstick tubes. Never before have I been this mesmerised by a perfume. You can’t go wrong with this one. You simply can’t.

Please don't listen to people saying it's a bug spray. The same as labeling perfumes with a citrus note a ''cleaning product'' smell. If there does exist a bug spray with such a pleasant fruity smell, please suggest me that spray, But you wouldn't be able as it doesn't exist. If some people have some weird associations reminding them something it's not objective. This perfume is very pleasant fruity floral soft elegant scent perfect for spring and summer. Definitely a people pleaser. It's indeed similar to Marry me by Lanvin, Trussardi Donna, Loewe Solo Ella edp and even J'adore, but softer, younger and less citrusy more peach dominant. It's not something groundbreaking but it's really enjoyable. Even my girlfriend who doesn't care about perfumes much, but who nevertheless have a good taste, loved this scent so much, that she asked me to order it to her!

I bought this on Amazon as part of a travel perfume set and had never smelled it until today. I love it! It has a very fresh citrus scent that reminds me of Light Blue. It is not a sweet orange it is a ripe orange peel scent that is very refreshing! This perfume is a strong skin scent on me and lasted a decent amount of time. I recommend this perfume if you like citrus fresh scents.

My most complimented fragrance I have ever own, everyday wear, floral fruity, blind buy safe, I get the bug/hair spray scent related but I don’t mind smelling like one.

Just got this now. It was an online order and a blind buy. Just one review said it was nice but not lasting much. I took the chance because perfumes last differently and it is an EDP which is a steal for Indian Rs. 725 and Armaf is an Arab brand. First impression - packaging is beautiful. The box has a ribbon bow. And the bottle is very classy. So I was on my way out, so just spritzed a small spritz on my left wrist. I had bought it seeing 'oriental' along with the name on an online site. However, I don't know if it is oriental at all. It sure is refreshing. FLoral and fruity but not the excessively sweet fruity. A refreshing scent, it reminds me of some old body spray I used in school days - which maybe Amitabh blue - I am not sure men or women. Hubby smelled and right away said this smells like men's fragrance. But after the fragrance sets in, it is a classy feminine. I can still smell it on my wrist after one and half hours and it was the smallest spritz, I shall see how long I get it today. A refreshing scent that will vary according to the wearer. I think it will suit working women, women who have that charismatic air, with some sophistication. And surprisingly, I would love to smell this on my man, too. An uplifting scent. I have yet to evolve around this. Not too strongly citrusy. On inhaling a lot, I could smell more flowers and very subtle fruitiness. This is a clean fragrance with a mind cooling scent. Scents have the capability to make one feel cooler or warmer. And this is perfect for summer (summer is here and days are warmer already) and I look forward to this freshness. :) The notes I have got hold of so far are - light citruses at top which quickly sets into peach, jasmine, rose - this duration is kind of powdery, soapy but the good kind.. yet to experience the base notes. Will update after I do. Update: After back home, I spritzed some more of it. I have washed up, changed and still in the morning a faint smell of the sweet bases remained. That is a good enough staying power of over 10 hours. I can't stop sniffing at my wrist but because, my hubby told that "it is ok, keep it. No problem with it." And because I was expecting something more of oriental fruity when I expected oriental, I will make this the gift for my mom i had been planning to gift this month.

Smells almost exactly like Lanvin's Marry Me! And since that one is discontinued this can be used as its direct replacement. Many comments mention Vanity Femme Essence having a "bug spray" and "hair spray" scent; let me tell you, the initial spray does smell intensely of those aerosol notes but it settles into more of a fresh hair spray or dry shampoo scent. I had mentioned on Lanvin's Marry Me page that it also smells almost exactly like Tresemme's "Warm Petals" dry shampoo (the yellow one) and this one also smells like that dry shampoo. Tresemme has always had nice smelling shampoos and I would always get compliments on the smell of my hair when I would use their products growing up but then had to move onto different products because I have dandruff. 😭 If you are hesitant to blind buy, you can buy Tresemme's Warm Petals dry shampoo for probably less than $8 just to get an idea of the scent of Vanity Femme Essence and Lanvin Marry Me! Because Armaf Vanity Femme Essence is so cheap-- $22 for 3.4oz!-- I can see myself buying more of this as a body spray to freshen up quickly or to wear at my outdoor job where I am outside in the humid heat all day. Bitter orange is very strong at the beginning and likely what gives the 'bug spray' vibe but then it mellows out and then the rose, magnolia, and jasmine pop out. The rose is beautiful to me; it smells like a dewey rose in the morning when the air is still cool and you can even smell the green stems of a rose bush. I'm so glad this fragrance manages to be fresh and not powdery because many rose fragrances end up having powder notes at the drydown that make them feel dusty and aged. I barely detect peach in there but I think I do smell it? Despite me recommending this for a cheapie to throw in the gym bag or for everyday wear, it does have a more serious tone about it. It's fresh but definitely not soft and playful -- so I guess I can categorize this as a mature fragrance? It does smell very much like hairspray or dry shampoo but because it's so strong I have used this to cover up my BO during and after my 8 hour shift working in the sun with humidity. I put on my usual deodorant and then spray this stuff directly on my pits....lol. I also think it triggers allergies in some people because I have had a few people sneeze around me.

Full on blind buy and I was hesitant to try it because it was dirt cheap (about $10) but with so many positive reviews, I took the plunge. This perfume surprised me. Initial spray will give a blast of citrus and peach which lasts throughout the life of the frag. If the rose is there it's subtle and you can barely decipher it. The floral notes then take over for a while to give way to a musky amberish dry down. Vanilla is slightly there but overpowered by the musk and floral notes. A very good frag for what it is and it actually smells expensive. I bet it will layer well with a lot of fragrances. Cannot speak of longevity as I just got it. May update if it is impressive. Update: I really love this! Wearing this today with Coco Paradise bath and body works and I can't stop letting myself know how good I smell! Win! And now I can smell the rose. Very good frag for the price.

I have found my favourite for this spring and summer season. It seams Armaf"s creations and my skin chemistry and taste in fragrances are compatible. Vanity Femme Essence is fresh with the bitter orange which is not an often used note but I like it. It gives a refreshing citrusy start and together with the peach note they are mouthwatering. This pair lingers through the middle flowery notes and I can catch it even in the drydown. The vanilla is there but doesn't disturb me because the musk and amber balance it well and it's not overpowering. The longevity and sillage are both moderate, and that is all right for me in the summer heat. I will use it this season regularly. A stong like.

i went through a peach phase recently and while i don't love this, i don't regret the purchase (considering i've used up at least a third of the bottle in a few months). the initial blast is annoying so beware! but after that harsh opening it turns into a nice floral peach with a relaxed zesty orange to freshen things up. though to me there is something about this that remains a bit harsh or "blunt" throughout the day and i think that's why it's not a complete love for me. maybe it's the blending of the floral notes. overall, not bad value for money. medium performance.

I have the body spray version of this and to me it closely resembles Trussardi Donna EdP, except the latter is leaning towards citrus notes. Vanity Femme Essence has more of a peachy note, but for the florals they're somewhat similar. I'm wondering if the EdP version of Vanity Femme Essence has more sillage, projection and longevity. It's a classy and likeable scent that can be worn both in warm and cooler weather. Contemplating whether to get a bottle of the EdP.

Perfume oil: This fragrance is magnificent- a blast of citrus in the opening followed by juicy florals and sweet vanilla that come together to form a well rounded scent. BUT the longevity is disgraceful for a perfume oil, 3hrs is all I can get out of this on skin. On clothing, it is little more than a skin scent. Projective and sillage are below average, non-existent if I'm harsh. I took a decant for the scent, and gifted the rest.

Vanity Femme is a lovely, fresh, creamy floral. I just purchased Trussardi Donna and kept on sniffing my hand trying to figure out why it was so familiar. It reminded me so much of this fragrance and I am glad to see I'm not the only one. This perfume smells more expensive than what it is, it is truly a hidden gem that is perfect for office or daily wear.

hate hate HATE this perfume up close. It's screechy, overly floral, with no fruit or citrus notes on me. It smells like cheap shampoo, and I'm upset that I even spent $40 CAD on this, because it's harsh and has no peach notes at all. However, once you've let it dry down and you're just catching whiffs of it, it's not that bad and at least makes you smell like you just got out of the shower because it smells like a floral shampoo or body wash.

Two words , 'bug spray'.. it opens up, actually quite beautiful, and then turns into this screechy,bitter, and offensive scent that smells like bug spray. There are two other perfumes that smell like this dna. this one being the best of the three, but it stinks bad on the dry down. Very strong... Rare Tiffany and Kismet for Women are the other two. I just don't understand people rating these perfumes as good? Save your money and order something that people will actually give you a compliment on. don't be fooled by the beautiful bottles because that's all you are paying for is the bottle. I don't know what is inside the bottle , but it is not perfume! I can't even give it away.. who would actually want to smell like this ?? In the Trash ..

bought it as a gift but sometimes wear it myself. initial spray is very harsh, but after roughly 10 minutes the fruit and florals come out. the peach is very nice. i dont really smell the other stuff, just flowers and fruit. very safe and nice scent. projection wasn't great, but longevity is amazing. it lasts all day. i can still smell it on my skin at the end of the day. the bottle is a bit cheap, i dropped it and the gold plastic part broke. so just get past that first 10 minutes and you get a nice day time and safe work scent.

Somewhere between Gucci Flora and D&G Light blue.That is, fruitier than Flora, less fruity than LB. I was trying out samples in a local shop when I stumbled upon this beauty. Definitely a spring-summer fragrance. D&G LB used to be my signature but I've shifted to this one. It lasts a crazy amount of time for a fresh fragrance and is very very easy on the pocket.

Just got this today. I was expecting something similar to Gucci Flora as reviewed by someone in youtube. But all i can think of is Paul Smith Rose. My friends love it tho. Its a soft smell and safe to use anytime of the day. Especially to the office. Additional note: Its definitely rose guys.
