L’Eau Pour Homme

I used to like Kenzo, Issey Miyake until they smell too much like furniture stores or spas. This one, however , has a unique bamboo note that I love. It is one of those "zen" feeling scents that do not smell too much of anything I know. I does smell like walking through a bamboo forest. Very soothing. I can only give this a pass..6 or 7 out of 10 max. For clean scents like this I have other better options like Montblanc Individuel. This fragrance doesn't last like l'eau d'issey. So performance wise, it is not up to par.

I bought this because it was on sale, $16 for 4.2 oz., and because I had read a recent article on Kurkdjian in the New Yorker. It is fresh and gossamer and it has an unusual fern-like aspect that I have never encountered in a fragrance before; like bamboo in fragrant water. I sprayed it on my arm and I kept getting whiffs of its flowery plant and medicinal-like appeal. It seems to be long lasting and probably has a strong sillage. This cologne is absolutely unique. For the price, a fantastic bargain.

To me this evokes breakfast by the pool at a hotel in the canary islands on a sunny, slightly breezy morning. There is a burst of fresh citrus from your morning juice. There is something ozonic or chemical which I experience as the pool mixed with sea breeze. There is something transparent (bamboo) which I experience as being outdoors with leafy plants. Yes it's short lived and not designed to impress anyone (much like breakfast itself) but to me this is very nice.

Mix Alred Sung Hei with Azzaro Chrome and you'll end up with something very close to this. I have to admit that I really like how L’Eau Pour Homme Armand Basi works on my skin and on my clothes - imho it's much more interesting than either Hei or Chrome alone.

ok, not a very memorable one but very suitable for hot, soaking Spains summer mornings, its a light, soft smell than makes one go in a sportive fresh way when the hot is stronger here

i find this doesnt last too long on the skin, but will last for weeks if sprayed onto clothes (which is not to everyone's tastes.) its a very simple, summery scent that makes you think of sand and clear water. inoffensive and easy to wear. good for value too, but doesnt last as long as i would like it to. i saw someone describe this cologne as smelling of vodka, and honestly ... i see it.

tried this at the fragrance shop this evening.. Absolutely couldn't smell anything on paper. However it reminds me of fresh linen rather than the sea when i sprayed it on my arm.. very comforting. The sillage however, still very disappointing.

I still think Armand Basi Homme (black & frosted white bottle) is the best one here, but this makes a good light summer fragrance. Stayed on my skin all day.

nice, normal thing, nth special to consider, yet very masculine and good for those who like aquatic fragances

A really nice freshie - great as a post gym fragrance.

This is an interesting fragrance. I first get something like a fresh citric minerality with a touch of vodka. There is also a touch of green woodyness that develops. I dislike the very synthetic vibe, but I do like the airy/watery refreshing vibe. Due to the refreshing yet synthetic nature, I think it is best used *lightly* after a shower, or more heavily if outdoors as the wind will diffuse some of the less desirable quality. Overall, I think it is just okay/mid.

First impression with the bottle is a letdown. Have you seen the Dries Van Noten bottles? Well, imagine the same idea but with the lowest budget possible. And the scent...it’s a bit pungent, quite rough and unpolished for a Francis Kurkdjian creation. Aquatic with some neon green zesty notes of bergamot and Cypress. Very casual, probably better for young adults or teens. Doesn’t last long.

I think the breakdown notes are not correct here, please find the valid one: Top Notes Bergamot, Lavender, Blue breeze Heart Notes Cardamom, Nutmeg, Bamboo leaves, Blue Mediterranean cypress Base notes Moss, Patchouli For me it's like Nautica Voyage close cousin.

Really? Is anybody ranking this air freshener? Naaah. Doesn't last more than a few minutes, projects for just a few minutes. Waste of money.

it like kenzo pourhomme.. i dont like it,, too soft and some bamboo smell,, not for me..

Nothing special, light and mediocre...

What's the use? Very light bamboo, not bad but for what occasion? Too light for office wear, let alone a date- or evening occasion, not fresh for summerbeachdays. Maybe for window cleaning or taking the garbage outside, but that's it. `totally useless. Nice bottle though.

It's incredibly fresh and light and uplifting. Its greenness and a certain tenderness give additional seduction to a man in summer. Alas, poor longevity.

Un perfume interesante, muy similar (parecido) a Azzaro Chrome, pero un poco más suave. Final Rating: 9/10.

Smell is okay, it is fresh but has a sharp citrus note and lasts 30 minutes for me.

Just a copy of Azzaro Chrome, maybe less metallic...
