Lovely Blossom

Armand Basi Lovely Blossom feels like paying for the glass bottle and having the juice thrown into it for free. I got my huge 100ml bottle for a ridiculously low price and free postage, so didn't hesitate to get my blind date with Lovely Blossom paid for. This fragrance will surprise you in many ways. It is uplifting, refershing, crispy, semi sweet, a little fruity, a little flowery, sometimes powdery - it all depends when you wear it. In winter, I get the crispyness of not yet fully ripen apricot and jasmine. In summer, I tend to notice plum a bit more and the apricot seems to smell juicy. The mixture of orange flower and jasmine is probably the bext mix I have ever came accross. I wish they threw a little bit more of heliotrope in because I absolutely adore the note :-) Nevertheless, the dry down will nicely surprise you; it is very comforting and mellow. I must openly admit that I didn't expect much in terms of lasting power and sillage, yet again, the juice surprised me; it lasted good 5 hours on me. And it is only an eau de toilette! Wow!!! The bottle is nice, simple and innocent. Lovely Blossom is by far the best value for money. Perfect fruity floral.

I got a bottle of Lovely Blossom today in a swap with one of the other members on here. I'm very happy with it! It's a very pretty, light perfume which is great for any occasion. I was a bit surprised that at first it smelled slightly peppery to me but that's probably the woody notes. I wasn't sure of it at first because of that but once that died down the perfume became lovely and fresh, a bit more fruity than floral on me and just really lovely. I really like the apricot juiciness of it and that it's not overly floral, which could be the case given the name of the perfume! The bottle is also very pretty. UPDATE! Since I first tried it I've used lovely Blossom several times and I don't detect the pepperiness in the beginning now. It's just really lovely, subtle, a little fruity, a little floral and clean. It lasts for quite a long time on my skin too, even though it is very subtle. It's become one of my favorite perfumes - I really love it!! I'm very happy to Karin for sending me her bottle in our swap!!

Lovely Blossom is exactly like that: lovely. As many said here, LB is not a master piece, but it is still special in its simplicity. Lovely Blossom is really summery, fresh and young. On my skin it opens with a really fresh accord of apricot, orange blossom and perhaps rosewood?? The reason why I detect rosewood in the composition is because of the "sweet piss" effect. On my skin when a perfume has plum, rosewood and jasmin the ultimate result is going to be a warm sweet piss effect that I actually...love. This smell that I identify as piss is very sweet, warm, a tiny bit smoky and a little bit acid, the main note is yet the apricot. After a couple of minutes Lovely Blossom starts to warm up and suddenly the jasmin appears, a really creamy and soft jasmin. In this point Lovely Blossom reminds me a lot of Alien, but without the headache and vomit reaction that Alien gives me. Lovely Blossom becomes warm, sweet and very very chic. This perfume wears a lot better than other expensive creations and its very very pretty. For Alien haters that want a summery, creamy jasmin perfume, Lovely Blossom is the perfect choice. It suits a bikini or a wedding dress and you can wear it at night too. Update: This perfume has also at least to my nose a litchi accord. Sillage: Good Lasting Power: Lasts all day 7.5/10

I blind bought this based on reviews here and the fantastic price, and the name is fitting - it is very lovely and flowery. One spray is incredibly strong though, I am trying to slowly work out the right amount to wear but the little bit I put on my arm is all I can smell. Sillage is HUGE here, I can smell nothing but flowers no matter which way I turn. Starts out a little harsh but dies down pretty nicely - make sure you apply with some time to spare so you don't overwhelm everybody! I would put it as more of an evening perfume, but only because it's too strong for work. For the price, you really can't go wrong.

Something has happened. All I get after a whiff of fruits now is jasmine which I don't fancy at all! I've worn Lovely Blossom several times, and I know it hasn't turned bad, but somehow my skin chemistry has changed or something. I can't wear it anymore! I will pass it over to my mum, since I know she can wear jasmine fragrances with success. Why, oh why? :( I will give it another chance (and another, and another, lol), but it seems as if it's not for me anymore.
